  • //Well, he definitely isnt perfect. Thats for sure.

Finally, he let go but didnt make a move to help her up. His eyes still showed that he was cautious of her, though it was obvious that she had regained control. The soldier, or ex-soldier as he felt he should be after how he handled the situation that just arose, started back toward the bathroom after realizing that the bath was still running. He hoped that it wasnt over flooding. About halfway there the male paused.

"Here. Why dont you come and wash up. Let me take a look at that wound." Kano glanced back at her, offering a small smile before continuing toward the bathroom.

  • Her eyes moved from her clothes to Kano. Having nothing else to do, she just followed his lead and walked over to him. She walked past him and into the bathroom. However, Juliette didn't do anything or say anything. She remained silent not having the energy to do anything. Her eyes were at the water as she waited for Kano to go into the bathroom. From the water, her eyes moved on to the mirror. This wasn't here. The girl infront of her looked too worn out. Out of place. But the girl in the mirror wore the same outfit as Juliette and even had the same hair. Juliette slowly lifted her hand to try and reach the figure, but came in contact with a flat surface.

  • Luckily, the water hadnt overflowed. Quickly, he shut off the water. It was high, but not too high. Kano turned to face Juliette. She didnt look too well. It was to his knowledge that when the demons surfaced it was hard to take control and it would often leave them drained. The blonde hoped that she was just tired and not fighting the demons. He let out a sigh before speaking.

"The bath is ready. Would you like me to tend to the wound before or after?" He reached out,but stopped at there was a sudden pain in his arm. He had forgotten about that. Perhaps while she was cleaning up he would treat it.

  • Juliette allowed for her arm to drop back at her side and looked away from the mirror. "After..." She voiced not looking at him as she moved to sit on the edge of the tub. "I'd like to be alone for a bit..." Juliette dipped her blooded hand in the water and watched as the blood washed away from her tips. She savored this moment of silence to finally have her thoughts to herself. The mouths have retreated and even the demon had minded his own business and wasn't talking to her for once. It was bliss, but the events that had happened were still fresh in her memory so they kept playing in her mind. Knowing that a bath was needed, she discarded her shirt and only winced slightly when she moved her arm and shoulder.

  • Kano gave a slight nod before taking his leave. The first aid was in the other room, so that is where he headed.

"Call me if you need anything!" The male called back as he left, closing the door. It wasnt like she didnt already know that he served her, so he didnt know why he said that.

    //Time skip?

  • *That won't be necessary. This scene could help them create a bond since my cherrie is at her weakest point and needs something to anchor her so she could still feel in control of herself. ~

Juliette stripped off her stained clothes and dipped her legs into the warm water. It soothed her muscles allowing her to physically relax, but her mind was still a jumble of nerves. 'I don't ever want to become whatever it was that I became.' She thought as she brought her knees to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. 'But the only reason I got like that was because of the mouths... They weren't satisfied. Is feeding them flesh really the only way to calm them?' With a sigh she stretched out her legs under the water and started to scrub herself to remove any blood on her. She hissed in pain when she scrubbed around her wound, but she knew that it needed to be cleaned or else it would get infected. 'Can I even get sick from wounds like these?' Once the water had turned a faded red color, Juliette stepped out of the tub and allowed for all the water to get drained out. Grabbing her clothes and putting them in the trash bin, Juliette wrapped a towel around herself and walked to her room to change not caring if the floors would get soiled. Changing into a top and shorts, Juliette went to find Kano.

"Can you patch this up?" She asked softly still keeping her eyes away from his as she looked at something at the distance.

  • Kano quickly cleaned his wound up. It hurt worse than it looked. That was for sure. It wasnt deep enough for stitches luckily. It ran down his arm from shoulder to fore-arm. It made him wonder how he got them as Juliettes nails didnt seem like they could do that. Perhaps when the dagger flew or something was on the ground. Either way, it didnt take him long to finish the cleaning for the place either. As he headed back inside, a familiar voice made him pause. Juliette was waiting, seemingly staring at something in the distance. In response to her question, he gave a short nod.

"Of course. You can go wait in the kitchen if you would like. Ill be there in a moment." Kano did not wait for a dismissal nor any type of answer before he left. The soldier figured that she would either snap at him and correct him or go and wait. Couldnt take it back now,so the only option now was to see what the answer was.

  • She listened and shuffled her way towards the kitchen, dragging her feet. She sat herself on one of the old chairs and leaned her head to the side to stair at the counters that were in her view. And that is all she did while she waited on Kano. By this point she probably should of snapped at him since that is what she always did when he was near, but the mouths just left her empty. Like a shell. Hollow. Juliette placed her opposite hand on her injured shoulder and kept it there as she lost herself in her mind. Has it ever happened to you where you just blanked out? Where you would just zone everyone and everything out from your world and stare at something without blinking? Well, that it where Juliette found herself.

  • Kano came back holding the old, roughed up box in his hands. He set it down on the table, pulled out a chair, sat down, and then opened the box. His eyes scanned over everything in the box. They had run out of some of antibiotic cream, which made Kano frown. Maybe they could go shopping for some today... if she was up for it. Right now it didnt seem like it. Thats when he realized that she was being quiet... too quiet. His frown deepened. She was really out of it. Her hand was over her injury not allowing Kano to look at it. He waited for a moment or two before he suggested that she moved her hand so that he could treat it.

  • Again Juliette did as she was told and slowly took her hand away from her wound. Now if the blood all gone, it didn't look as bad, but it was a deep wound. However, other than a few hisses or wince from pain, The purple haired teen didn't offer any comments. She continued to stare up ahead and not on what Kano was working on. She was afraid of looking at the wound since she could never held injuries and blood well, but somethings need to change now with the sort of life ahead of her.

  • Kano worked quickly, still upset that they didnt have any of the cream left. It was too quiet now. Kano loved the quiet, but this was a type of quiet that he didnt like. It was too tense. In order to try and fix this tense atmosphere he offered some conversation.

"We are out of some supplies. Would you like to go into town with me so we can go pick some up?" Kano asked, leaning forward a little to try and get a btter look at her face. At her reaction to the question. Of course, he didnt want to force her to do anything. Especially after what just happened.

  • Juliette would of shrugged her shoulders at his comment since she wasn't really in the mood for anything, but than again. She didn't want to be in the house right now. This thought causes for her eyes to trail over the body that was left exposed. "Okay." Juliette forces her eyes on Kano and gets up from her chair. "Let's just leave the windows open a bit for the smell to air out." She really hoped that the trip into tone would distract her and also allow for the foul stench of corpse to be out of the house before they returned.

  • Kano gave a quick nod. That would make sense. No need for the house to stink like somebody had died in it.

"Of course. Would you like to pick up anything else while in town?" The male asked after closing the box and rising from his seat. Kano pushed in the chair and then waited for Juliette to let him know that she, too, was ready to leave.

  • "More clothes..." She muttered mostly to herself as she walked into her bedroom to retrieve from footwear. Once that was done, she walked back out towards the leaving room, but tried to not look at the corpse. "Dispose of the body. Make sure it's not around this area" Juliette ordered when she was at the entrance of the house. The first thing she didn't want to see when they get back would be the lady still lying in the middle of the living room. Also if the body were to somehow be found, they wouldn't be able to trace it back to their place. Things would definitely get messy and chaotic which was something that Juliette wasn't ready to deal with. Juliette breathed in the fresh air and she just hoped that when they got into the town, Kano and herself wouldn't smell that bad.

  • Kano put away the first aid kit and opened a few windows on his way back. Juliette was at the door already, commanding him to get rid of the body. His golden eyes glanced at the nearly demolished corpse. It would certainly be easier to do than some of the others. His eyes turned back to her.

"Yes ma'am. Did you grab everything?" He waited for the answer before going and grabbing what he needed to to dispose of the demons meal.

  • She patted her pockets to make sure that everything was there. To confirm she nods her head at him and waits for him to dispose of the body before heading out into town. 'Good thing I grabbed a hoodie.' Juliette huffed out a breath of air as she slid on a sweater that she brought with her when she left to get her shoes. Even though they were away from her home town, she didn't want to risk being seen by anyone. "Are you ready?" Juliette asked Kano.

  • Kano did what she asked and then nodded his head. He double checked if he had everything on the way out. Nothing seemed to be missing.

"Clothes and medical stuff, correct?" Kano asked curiously. He knew that he needed the supplies but he wasnt sure if he heard her right for the clothes.

  • "Yes." She replies as she stuffs her hands into her pockets. Her gaze was once again taken by something as she merely stared at the trees and how they swayed against the gentle wind. "If we need anything else, we'll get it... I don't want to come back so soon, but I know we can't be out in the open for too long." Juliette voiced as she moved her legs and walked down the hidden dirt path. 'The first sound that I hear from the mouthS, I'm coming back. It would be bad if I were to get a whole town involved.' The teen thought to herself.

  • That was reasonable. Kano walked next to her, although slightly behind. He agreed with her words though he found himself feeling a little bit of pity. She was stuck in the house feeding off of random peoples dead bosies that he brought her. Her life now was not going to be as good as what her life was before the demons, at least not at this stage. She would only have to come out when Kano invites her out for shopping or the occasional out to eat. The outside exposure would have to drop significantly. Kano, however would be able to go where ever whenever. He wouldnt be the least bit mad if she was jealous or even angry,

    "Do you have any questions?"

  • When he spoke, it had snapped her out of a trance. She had many questions for him, and many more for the demon but he would never give her a straightforward answer. Instead she asked," How do you pick out your victims?" If she had asked this normally, she probably would've been pissed and out right angry at him killing someone innocent in her eyes, but with the person that she is right now, it didn't matter. "You would always bring different ones, and majority were pretty bloody." She mused still looking up ahead with her hood drawn up to over her head and her hands hidden in the pockets of the hoodie.
