"I love you." Dya suddenly whispered. "I know it's dangerous, but I do." She decided not to mention their difference in status then. They had problems enough with simply his uncle.

Taern blinked in surprise to her words but then he replied with his voice just as soft “I love you too,” he managed to get out, his eyes searching hers, wondering what she would want to do
-
Dya gave a soft smile then. "I wish we had met again because of a reason other than the draft." She murmured, knowing it would've hard for them to find any sort of time together.
-
“As do I,” Taern spoke and then said “But either way I’m glad that we did meet again, despite the circumstances” he smiled to her
-
Dya smiled back and nodded. "And I'll do my best to find as much time to come to you." She assured him softly.
-
Taern took her hand, “Just...don’t do it so often that someone starts to be suspicious of you, okay? I don’t want you to get hurt because of me..” he whispered and she could see the concern on his face
-
Dya gently captured his lips in a kiss. "I'm more worried about you getting hurt because of me." She told him.
-
Taern kissed her back momentarily before pulling away to speak, “and even if I did, I wouldn’t blame you for anything” if only they could run away..even that wasn’t the answer to al of this but he still wished he could
-
"I would blame me though." Dya whispered as she gazed at him. "The only way we can not be in danger with this, is by getting you the throne back."
-
He nodded, “Yeah..you’re right. And even so, I’m worried what kind of war my Uncle has brought to the kingdom’s doorstep. Not exactly a fan of dealing with that either,” he sighed softly
-
"I'm sorry..." Dya whispered. "With my status there wasn't really much I could do." She told him softly.
-
He looked to her, “Don’t be..” Taern pulled her into another kiss, “Who cares about status? You did your best and that’s all I’m thankful for...and that you’re alive,” he whispered
-
Dya kissed him back with a small smile. "I'm thankful you're alive... That whole time I had no idea if you were or not..." She whispered. "But you are, and that alone makes me really happy."
-
Taern smiles from her words, leaning in to kiss her again, this time his intentions clear that he wasn’t going to draw back, even as he leant forward a bit more
-
Dya smiled as she kissed him back, not minding that he didn't want to stop it as quickly this time. She could barely believe he returned her feelings, seemingly in full.
-
When she was beneath him now, he pulled away from the kiss slowly. Love and desire were held in his gaze and he asked a simple question, “May I...?” He meant on continuing this..letting her and him..well, there wasn’t much left to imagine, even as his cheeks tinged a soft pink from the idea
-
A deeper pink found its way onto her cheeks as she glanced towards the door. "As long as we're quiet." Dya agreed shyly.
-
Taern nodded, leaning down and kissing her again, “I promise to be,” he whispered even as he began to unlace her bodice
—
When their few moments of passion were over with, Taern was laying next to Dya and holding her in his arms. He didn’t want her to go, but he knew she had to return to her room before the night was up.
-
Dya had her arms looped around him, resting her head against his shoulder. She was hoping to pretend it was only them and nothing bad was going on around them for even just a few more moments as she laid with him.
-
“One day,” he spoke after breaking the silence, “We won’t have to worry about hiding,” he murmured softly, even as he rubbed her back a little with his hand
