“Of course, it wasn’t my intentions to forget my best friend” he said with a smile, and wondered what she was thinking

Dya smiled back, looking a bit happier then as well. "I didn't think it was." She murmured, realising he still held her hand although she didn't show any signs of noticing it or letting go.
-
“We’ve missed so much time together,” he murmured and then said, “I hope that we can catch up”
-
"I wish we were able to do that now." Dya admitted softly. "But it is so difficult to say anything properly like this." She told him with a light sigh.
-
"I'm certain that over the next few months we'll get the chance to," he assured her, unsure of things himself, but at least she was here with him, and even that made him glad
-
Dya nodded slightly, her smile remaining on her lips. "I hope so. I've missed you." She watched him, wondering how he would take that.
-
He blushed from her words, "Really?" he asked her and smiled slightly, realizing that his hand was still on hers, but he didn't take it away
(don't feel good right now so I may call it a night and be on tomorrow, with the exception of doing hw in between posts)
-
Dya noticed his blush, a soft one of her own rising to her cheeks. "Of course..." She held back what she always said after, 'you're my best friend.'
((Well I hope you feel better soon! I should be on a lot tomorrow although I will be packing and cleaning))
-
(okay! And thanks :3 )
He looked down at their hands and pulled his away slowly. "I really didn't want to, but I don't want to risk your safety," he murmured to her softly
-
((No problem :) ))
Dya looked away, drawing her hand back into her lap and allowing it to play with the bandage on her other arm. "My safety?" She asked softly. "I'm more concerned with your own..."
-
bump!
-
He scoffed softly, "Besides this bump on my head, I can handle myself pretty well. Remember, I made the promise to keep you safe," he spoke quietly, looking at her with affection in his eyes
-
Dya didn't lift her gaze from her bandage, a bit afraid of what she might see in his eyes. "I made the same promise. And I made it again to your mother." She whispered.
-
"Well, as far as I can tell, you're doing a great job so far. Keeping my suspecting uncle under the radar and all," he says and leans back in the bed, wondering when he would be able to leave the infirmary. He glanced over to Dya, wondering why she wouldn't look at him
-
Dya slowly glanced at him, tugging on a string from her bandage. "I'm glad you think so." She whispered softly.
-
Taern still didn’t understand why Dya wasn’t looking at him, but he figured he’d let it be for now. His attention was drawn to voices outside of the infirmary, that the King had found the so called prince and that they were taking him in tonight. Of course, Taern heard a name not familiar to his own and realized an innocent would be killed just because his uncle believed him to be the prince
-
Dya tensed when she heard them before relaxing. She was relieved it wasn't Taern, but she did feel bad an innocent would be killed.
-
bump!
-
Taern looked over at Dya, his expression clear. “I don’t want an innocent killed because of me,” he spoke quietly
-
"I'll go see what I can do to warn him and get him out of here." Dya promised, finally looking to him as she touched his arm. "I'll be back. Stay safe." She murmured.
