because you're mine — pools of a lovely, radiant blue swiftly surveyed the lobby as the slim feline crept forward. her gaze took in everything in sight, a soft hum of satisfaction slipping past her dark lips. so many unfamiliar scents overwhelmed the girl, only a brief trace of one of her siblings lingering about. where was diabolos, now that she thought about it. she knew she irritated him sometimes, and emrys herself may lose her patience with the male but at the end of the day that was family and right now that's kinda all she had since she didn't really "make nice" with anyone yet. now was the time to do so, probably. what better opportunity was there to get to know those she'd be residing with, other than now?

. The Scarecrow didn't lurk through shadowed alleys seeking fragile prey at all hours of the day. Even the self proclaimed Master of Fear took time off from the sinister research he conducted during his spare time. There was an air about him, it tingled the flesh and chilled the blood, for it would seem that even when the war-torn, slender figure chose to relax, his very presence permeated the dusty hotel atmosphere with a ghastly malice. The devil's twin molten eyes glowed and flickered with the hellish flames of demonic pits, piercing the shade in a predatory display. Within their boiling depths, shards of coal swathed in fire surveyed the home of BloodClan, scanning the inhabitants, taking in their frames, analyzing their very minds. He was meticulous and stoic, his brutalized features expressionless, a hard line adorning a scarred maw. When he found an unfamiliar presence lurking amidst his space, The Scarecrow sought to investigate, rising to three murky paws, the fourth as black as midnight, to slither closer in choking silence. The tuxedo paused nearby, staring with eyes of volcanic cores, piercing the heart to swallow the soul. And what are you afraid of? I'll have to find out. And let Emrys be aware. The Nightmare had caught her scent.

「 just pull the plug, yeah — I'VE HAD ENOUGH 」 The brown tabby was padding through the streets, mouse in jaws. His paws treaded along the hard ground underneath him as his tail lashed to and fro. He had been out hunting for mice, avoiding rats and mice who were sick. After all, he didn't want to bring back a mouse that would get himself and others sick. He stood as he watched the monsters race down the street in front of him, the smell of horrid gas and roaring of the engine keeping him focused and ready to cross. Even though the cars kept him mostly focused, he couldn't ignore the thoughts that passed about his family. He had so many questions and his father returning for the first time definitely made him uneasy. He wasn't sure what to feel about his return, more importantly what did Emry's feel?
Diabolos hadn't seen his sister when their father returned so he wasn't sure how she felt about it. Thrilled? Scared even? He still wasn't sure how he felt about his father in general. Wolfsbane was an honorably, sly, and strong cat and he couldn't help but admire that. He wanted to be just like Wolfsbane, but at the same time he didn't. He pinned his ears against his head as a truck passed, and then there was an opening. Swiftly, he ran over the street and raced his way to the other side, coming to a halt and looking back to see the line of cars starting up again. With a huff of relief, he turned his head to see his sister and a smile braced his maw. His sister would sometimes bother him to be nicer, but he still enjoyed her company. He loved all his siblings, well maybe except for Sirenpaw. He wasn't sure how to feel about her since she was in an enemy clan. He wouldn't go up against her in battle but if he had to choose his clan over his family, he wasn't sure what he would do about her.
Snapping out his thoughts, he dropped his catch down in front of her. "Hey Emrys, I caught a mouse if you want to share." He motioned to the mouse with his tail, swiftly looking over his shoulder. Diabolos felt like they were being watched but didn't see anyone there. He twitched his ear as he turned back to his sibling, staying wary of any sounds of movement.

because you're mine — emrys was an entity who always had a confidence about her, always had a proud and regal air about her. it never seemed to falter, but now, standing in the empty lobby she felt a feeling of unease wash over her. there was an uncomforting presence there, and it made her feel like she was being watched like helpless prey. the strands of hair of the pretty siamese's tail seemed to puff up and her ears seemed to fall back, her gaze warily scanning her surroundings.
"hey emrys, i caught a mouse if you want to share."
the familiar voice of diabolos broke her trance. deciding it was nothing to be worried about, emrys turned around to face her brother. a dazzling smile curled the feline's lips. "hey diablo!" she greeted him. he was probably the only sibling that she actually liked. it was safe to say, she favored him above all her other littermates. granted they had there arguments, but she'd always have his back and she liked to think he'd have hers. "eh, i'm good.. it's all yours." she hummed, declining his offer. "anything new happening 'round here? i haven't been around too much to actually get involved in anything," she shrugged, casting a wary glance around. she still felt uneasy, something was off here.
"just been keeping to myself i guess." and that was true. emrys, in fact, was unaware of wolfsbane's return. their father was a sensitive subject to her. she was angry for him leaving, and yet she's always longed for some bond with him. they were left and raised by their aunts and uncles so for a while, they were her parents. the presence of wolfsbane was an unknown one, something she hardly remembered. he didn't remember him being around, all she knew was his absence.

Umbra padded up to her grandchildren somewhat awkwardly. The bulky she-cat wasn't entirely sure how to connect to them, but she hoped to try. The large cat noticed Scarecrow staring at Emrys, and gave him a glare. She wasn't really interested in him, but if he threatened her granddaughter, she figured she could take him in a fight. Family first, after all. It wasn't like she had anything else, at this point. The older she-cat gave Diabolos a friendly nod, and Emrys a similar one. She hadn't really made a connection with anyone else in the clan either. "It's easy to keep to yourself here," she said neutrally, though she meant it. Nobody was very friendly.

"Knock, knock," Punchline greeted, trotting over when he spotted the family. Pun was still new to Bloodclan, still a rookie, a greenhorn, fresh-meat - but he held none of the qualities of the qualities expected of said rank. "Awkward" was not a trait Punchline possessed. As a comedian of the lowest of humor ; puns, one tended to need to be able to brush off awkward moments often. Of course, that didn't mean that his confidence was a product of bad experiences - no, Pun had always been quite the interesting young lad, seemingly to not possess many emotions besides satisfaction, amusement and maybe a hint of frustration, though that emotion wasn't often explored.
Point being, Punchline wasn't shy about approaching the family, especially since - with Bunsie and Candy seemingly gone - he was rather bored and could use some acquaintances to torture with his puns - and who better to be made his buddies than the young Diablo and Emrys? With age as a shared trait, he had at least a small advantage.
So, with Pun bored and in the general vicinity, they would not be able to "keep to themselves" anymore.
