JasperStar padded into the clearing, trying to figure out what he should announce, and what he should leave out. Many, many things had been happening in WindClan, some good, but mostly very bad. I'll do ok... He looked around at the gathereing felines, wondering what the rest of the clans had been experiencing.
. ✦･ﾟ + Upon tender paws did Gladepaw arrive to the gathering. He'd been before a couple times but usually he didn't enjoy them too much. For all the social butterflies of the clans this was a haven for meeting friends and exchanging small talk.. as for him, he'd usually tuck himself into a social circle and stand quietly, offering nothing but silence and nods as the only way to become a part of their conversations would be to talk first. He was happy to sit quietly as they droned on and before he knew it, the gathering was over after a few words from the leaders. Politics always bored him, too, so that's always fun.
He moved into the clearing, eyes of molten silver shifting about the forms and shapes of everybody and inhaling the mixture of scents that had accumulated hanging in the crisp night air. There were so many cats. Although like magnets his eyes would slip to Sirenpaw, worry clouding his vision and the pain of memories resurfacing shattered any remnants of a good mood he could have. He was .. sad. His heart ached for her and the horrors she'd been through.. but at the same time he was simply livid, anger slithering within the canals of his beating heart like an adder, coiled and ready to fling itself into the world with one mention of Bloodclan. It subdued the melancholy just a bit to dull the pain. It overpowered his fragile feelings and delicate heartache. For once he was parched.
For now his face rested vacant and his sterling spectacles scanned unblurred with a distant excitement and nervousness. There was always a jump in his heart when he entered these massive social gatherings. He could feel their eyes scraping his pelt and it's unsightly tufts, but at the same time he found his eyes wandering and picking up information about others as they passed.
★ ★ ★ By the time Nightstar had arrived, quite a few cats had already gathered around in the forest clearing. The young, dark-furred leader let out a gentle sigh as he sauntered up to the High Rock, where he would wait until the other leaders had arrived. He hadn't been in attendance at the last gathering due to high tensions between ShadowClan and ThunderClan, however, ShadowClan had managed to steer clear of raids, so he hoped that things weren't so tense this moon. He was, however, interested to see how Taboa would react, if she even bothered to show up, that is.
LIGHTNING COULD SURE START A FIRE
The rest of the clans would surely be aware at this point that the tyrant of BloodClan, Lord Sheogorath, had joined RiverClan as a warrior. Tigerscar wondered if they still told stories about him to quiet their kits, or to frighten their apprentices. It made for an amusing thought, but it trailed into oblivion as the powerful figure slipped further into the crowd that had assembled for the gathering, a gaze of molten hell-fire scanning bodies and minds as a wicked grin wrapped scarred jaws. How fun would the announcements be on this cool autumn's night? Tigerscar received a few nasty looks, a curled lip and a snort of distaste. They could glare all they want, but the warrior was unfazed. He absorbed their interactions with bright eyes, pupils of coal seeking one regal frame.
❝ SCRIBERS INK❞
"How beautiful." Scribersink remarks, the long dark sky above littered with stars reflecting the souls of the cats in the gathering up in Starpelt. Beautiful. Each one of them. Perhaps before his ex-mates disappearance he would have attempted a flirtatous remark to a passing tom or femme, yet tonight? All he wants to remark is the beauty of the sky and the overwhelming presence of each soul among them.
Leaders emerge and start to gather. Time for announcements perhaps? Not sure if Poppystar would emerge to join, the siamese seats with a few polite "excuse me, was that your paw? my apologises it is very cramped at this fourtrees tonight, no?"
❝ SKYCLAN x TAGS ❞
IC: This time, Foreststar was practically electrified, glad to be so far from camp for once. She hadn't attended the last Gathering after the recent troubles had finally found a limit to her altruism, and the whole camp had basically grounded her until she got some of her health back. She would have looked positively wilted last moon, but now she was gnawing at the bit to be out under Silverpelt, tail and ears perked with energy. It was all she could do to save face and not bolt straight down the slop from Thunderclan territory as she led her clan into the Gathering.
[he hath been summoned]
Positioned upon large, scarred paws were the weaponry of a tyrant, reinforced talons that curled into soil with every step in a visible and predatory display. They were the claws of a killer, the scythes that had ripped away innocent souls to drag them into a bloodied oblivion. When the moonlight cast it's silver embrace upon the former lord's powerful form, the silvery essence caught upon the stained razors with a glint. There were flames in his eyes as narrowed shards searched the crowd, seeking the crown amidst them all, a figure of regal grace laced with brutality, but Cougar was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps Foreststar had not allowed her to approach the gathering. Not all the clans had been made aware that the former Second of BloodClan, and former leader of RiverClan, had now chosen to reside in the forest, to take on a lifestyle of regretful mourning. Tigerscar held no such feelings, and as he swung his ruined skull, pupils that burned like coal in a blaze landed with a fearsome glow upon a familiar figure in the crowd. Once he had been Wasppaw. The warrior remembered the young tom's failure to protect the herbs during his raid on SkyClan, though the memory did not strike him with as much clarity as the one that surely haunted the other lad's mind. Tatteredstar's death, and how it had so violently been achieved. A smirk drew across friendly features as muscular limbs carried him forward, approaching the feline of his focus with a small chuckle that rolled off his barbed tongue with sickening honey.
"Well now, what do we have here? The medicine cat of SkyClan himself. It's Addercloud now, isn't it?" The last time they had spoken, it had been during an aggressive stand-off on the RiverClan border. Tigerscar doubted the other tom's hostility had waned in the time since that interaction. "How ya doin', lad? Enjoyin' the weather?" The warrior's tone was smooth and dripped from his jaws without a hint of malice, and yet he knew that something about his welcoming voice would trigger a less than pleased response.
Wheatpaw had grown since the last gathering. Shedding his meager, twiglike physique, something brought on by the famine, in favor of something more springy. Birdlike, even. His movements quite fit such a description as he moved into the clearing after @- Addercloud , listening to his conversation with the other medicine cats, twitching robotically in every direction as new phenomena caught his fleeting attention. For now, the only thing keeping him rooted to the planet at all was the bittersweet scent of herbs that the SkyClan medicine cat carried on his long pelt.
A figure in the crowd. Addercloud's eyes widened, form stiffened upon seeing it stalking toward them. Fear was one of the few things that the boy could reliably detect in others, feeling it so often within his own trembling sinews, and he could sense it coming off of the older tomcat in waves. The figure was enormous, scarred, fishy. A RiverClanner, one Wheatpaw had never seen before. Immediately, hostility gripped him, only deepening as the stranger spoke. He could only move closer to Addercloud as questions were asked, a scowl taking to his thin face.
(not that much interaction but i'll @ u anyway Sheogorath )
Bearheart stood atop the hill leading down into fourtrees where the four clans had gathered. As the cool breeze ruffled his fur, Bearheat felt his chest fill up with excitement and started the descend into the hollow. The large tom pushed his way through the crowd, looking for a good place to settle down for the gathering. All the scents washed over him at once, he almost forgot how overwhelming it was. Bearheart glanced up at the moon, worried. I hope the clans can keep it together for at least one night.
[shitty, rushed post that probably has spelling errors oops its 1 am]
massive paws gripped the earth's complexion as she wicked woman slithered from atop the hill, following after the river of thunderclanners that poured from the valley above like liquidated silk and fabricated moonlight. the stars above glittered like small eyes of her ancestors bearing down upon her, despite her much distaste for starclan, she knew they were there.
hahaha! for once foreststar wasn't tired and if anything, she was looking like she was put in a good mood tonight. well, not for long! cougar was next to slither down the slope and slip beside her leader with a charmed grin the crooked upon her maw ivory and illuminated by the the soft bask of moonlight. the grin faded, as her jaws clenched for a moment. "can't hide me forever, foreststar," she said alas. cougar invited her damn self, it was about time the clans knew she was in thunderclan and who would have a problem with it? cougar would just have to shut their mouths with her own great talons if anyone whispered a word of vileness. but the woman expected it, and she wouldn't be angered by it. she knew its as coming like a storm but perhaps nobody would quite mind, she was turning a new leaf and the only person that had to believe that was herself. as long as she genuinely knew she was going to do good. she was getting better for her kits, and for doestar.
reinforced talons glittered under the delicacy of feathering illumination as a tawny hide rippled with lean muscle, long legs propelling the ex riverclan leader and former bloodclan deputy within the clearing. a calculated glance showering over the crowd as she rolled her shoulders back, scars ripping with her. it was good to be back as she pushed her way forcefully through the crowd, broad shoulders forging a path before her. pupils finding tigerscar alas, though, she wouldn't interrupt him despite the coy smile the crooked upon her maw.
OOC: kinda short iffy post I gotta go get food rip
IC: Foreststar's step almost slid when she saw the starclan-forsaken chausie streaming into the clearing alongside her. Bloody blasted---! Foreststar rolled her eyes as she jogged towards the Great Rock. You know what? Fine. Sure. Whatever. Her funeral. Bloody Cougar was as bad as her when it came to her own wellbeing, though obviously the opposite when considering the wellbeing of her clan. New clan. But bother, now she'd have to think of what to do if the Gathering saw her and panicked...At least maybe the other clans wouldn't mess with them again for a while, but she was worried about their alliances....Well, frankly, Darkclan and Shadowclan, if they'd finally split fro the city mutts, might not mind as much. That might actually be a nice way to reintegrate them into the clans, at least if the rest of their alliances didn't panic...Foreststar's expression turned from frustrated and disappointed to thoughtful in the moment it took her to leap up the Great Rock.
Rabbitflight was behind Jasperstar, and she eyed the gathering with the same wonder she did last time. Though the deputy had adjusted to clan life rather well, it still amazed her just how many cats lived near the forest. And they live in peace too! Well, mostly..
The RiverClan leader had arrived, late but not fashionably. Bleary-eyed, climbing on to the high rock, tense. Her eyes went to neither her mother nor Tigerscar, both causing quite a stir upon arrival, nor to Sirenpaw, safe and sound and cloaked in misery from an ordeal that her leader had willfully neglected to rescue her from and initiated a rebellion from half of the Clan to save her. Even Nightgaze. Why was she even in charge, if no one would listen to her?
Most of the other leaders had already seated themselves. She dipped her head to them, honey-colored gaze grazing the new DarkClan and ShadowClan leaders. Were they still allied with BloodClan, at this point? Power had changed hands so quickly over the past few moons; maybe the city-dwellers had been forgotten. Poor Tulipstar, Nightstar. They, too, had been shoved into the position, though maybe not as unceremoniously as herself, having been deputies in her past, eliciting a flash of sympathy within her that she did not act on, opted to keep her head down, keep mouth shut, forever. There was no conversation to be found in her heart.
The SkyClan leader trotted into the hollow slowly, falling behind her clanmates and watching as they disappeared into the crowd. SkyClan was running late, as usual; it looked like most, if not all, of the other clans were already here. Perhaps she would be on time next moon. Perhaps the clan would be able to travel faster if her shoulder wasn't bothering her quite so much, but she didn't want to bother Addercloud about herbs, especially with leaf-bare coming. She had eight more lives, her clanmates only had one. They needed them more than her.
The crowd was the same as usual, but there was a general sense of being too nice, too polite, that she was getting from everyone. The clans were walking on thin ice with each other to the point where she was surprised that they had managed to maintain peace for this long tonight. The uncertainty of this was both concerning and relieving - at least she wouldn't look out of place if she appeared on edge. She knew that she had been showing it lately, but she couldn't help the panic she felt when something passed behind her, when a bird cawed suddenly. At least tonight she would almost blend in.
The leader caught a glimpse of Addercloud's pelt, and it looked like Minnownose wasn't far away. She needed to get over to the other leaders so they could start, so she picked up the pace a bit, reaching them in time to hear his voice. She stiffened, pausing for a moment. She turned to look at the face of SkyClan's old tormentor, her stomach twisting at the thought of everything he had done. He reeked of RiverClan. Of all places, he reeked of Tatteredstar's old home. So it was true: he was a RiverClanner now. He hadn't lied; he was here, this was real. The leader fought back a growl, instead taking a deep breath. She didn't know how to feel. Her fight-or-flight instincts couldn't seem to make up their mind. Poppystar took a deep breath, holding her head up, and turned away, finishing her walk to the Highrock. She needed to be strong.
At its base, she leaped up, her shoulder protesting the whole time. Perhaps she should have had Minnownose take her place tonight, but then again, the deputy wasn't much better than her. Poppystar supposed she'd have to get better faster, then. She gave the other leaders polite nods, beginning to think about her announcements.

— RELAXED | OUTGOING | KIND
— FORGETFUL | STRESSED | OBLIVIOUS
— in general, poppystar is trying her best. she presents herself as calm, but as soon as things start to go wrong, she becomes stressed and panics. she lacks confidence in her ability to lead because on top of being very forgetful, she knows that she can’t tell what other people are thinking very easily, so she usually discusses important decisions with her deputy and medicine cat, and sometimes the whole clan. she is very extroverted, and is most comfortable when around others, especially because it gives her something to focus on. she cares very much about how everyone is doing, and wants the best for everyone, even if it isn’t convenient for her. however, she values first impressions, and is unlikely to give second chances. provided someone makes a good first impression, poppystar will probably want to get to know them better and be their friend.

★ ★ ★ Pale blue eyes flitted towards Poppystar and he studied the cream tabby with intrigue. He hadn't really known much of SkyClan, despite having been a clan cat for quite some time now. To his knowledge, they were rather small and preferred to stay out of the conflicts between the other clans. He noted that both Foreststar and Doestar were there, and though the muscular raven-furred leader wouldn't show it, he was rather nervous in the presence of these leaders. Though he hadn't forgotten his talk with Foreststar about ShadowClan and DarkClan's plans to leave their alliance with BloodClan, they were still enemies, therefore, leaving him currently outnumbered. Until Tulipstar would arrive, at least.
LIGHTNING COULD SURE START A FIRE
The other leaders were gathering on the high rock, so JasperStar bounded over to it's base. He bunched his muscles and sprang, landing neatly on top with everyone else. His first few times had been awkward, as he'd not quite known how to judge the jump, but now it felt as simple as instinct. JasperStar nodded to the leaders, doing a quick head count. Only TulipStar was missing, but hopefully she'd turn up quickly.
