The Hunters Lodge was actually one of my favorites, but it'd be cool if our charries were from The Nora Braves, like Aloy.

It would definitely give the story a hint of legacy to it if they were a part of the Nora Braves :) But how, though, shall the machines wipe out the village? Shall they be Corrupted like how they are in the main story line, or some other form of aggression entirely?

What if the curropted machines try and warn the village before its wiped out? Then they slowly earn the humans trust by helping hem find each other?

Currently at work, but I would like overriding to be a thing still, like it was a mechanic in the game. It would be cool to be able to override big machines and ride them (stormbirds, thunderjaws, sawtooth, etc) but I dunno? I feel like it could happen, but I'm unsure if it would be an okay thing.

After careful thinking (and a whole bunch of fantasizing) I think I may have arrived at an alternative.

What if there wasn't a need to override? What if the characters could show the machines that they weren't a threat? The only reason the Derangement occurred that caused the machines to become aggressive was because HEPHAESTUS (after he went rogue when the signal to GAIA was sent) deemed humans a threat for hunting the machines. If the humans showed peaceful intentions - like maybe a charrie saving a Watcher from a trap or something or other - it would conflict with the programming to attack a human on sight.

(Hi, I'm here to plot~ While I know a decent amount about the game, I haven't actually played it yet ~~I've been saving up for so long... and I'm still broke...~~

In any case, I like the whole 'going against programming' idea, possibly our characters are a ragtag group from different tribes, but considering the Banuk are more likely to try to co-operate with machines, maybe it starts with one of them??)
