  • Aye, the cultures will shift slightly, and I want at least one other religion. Maybe two, like one is based on Eniddia gods by stories & ideologies change a bit, and the second is more pagan like.

The sword is dope! Nuff said. I really like the edge idea.

I was actually thinking something like that for the harpies in Hallowind, which would be their birth nation. Rhilissi I’m not entirely sure. I really wanna implement gypsies or something. Like more nomadic than Eniddia, because it would have more grass. Definitely the home country of the Centaur. Like I said since Eniddia is becoming more knowledge based & sandy as othe countries are gaining those attributes.

Honestly I’m not sure for Rhilissi.

Also I need a continent name. Originally it was Eniddia but not it’s more of a country, so any ideas are great y’all

    Never mind, it’s Demas

  • That could work. Cultures and religions are always a bit tricky, but I think that's a good way to go about making them.

So like...each species has a nation or territory of origin?

This is all quite interesting. I'm loving the idea of this expansion.

    Demaaaaaaaaaaaaaas~

  • Okay so idk how but I was like β€˜let’s add more culture and land to Eniddia so it’ll be better for the second/first chapter (depending on whether you see the current roleplay as the first chapter or a prologue)’

Let’s just say that go out of hand quickly as I almost doubled the continent (which is now named Demas)

There are a few more countries than species so some will be mixed. Humans are still an invasive species in this context, despite the larger size this is not their home continent.

I’m working on the religion (De’reyis) and Demas’ other religion (which I am having some trouble naming, but it’s really similar to De’reyis as the gods still play some role, but are replaced with animals). De’reyis has an altered version, where people believe in one or two gods depending on where you are and your personal beliefs, but all the gods still apply. In Eniddia you believe in all, Espar is more altered. Rhilissi has the second religion.

  • Now that you mention it I don’t know.. See the religion is either going to be only a few gods (worshiping the sun and moon, with the stars being angels and saints and the darkness still as the main enemy) or very similar to De’reyism, where each god is simply replaced by an animal representing them (Myv a wolf, Valen a stag, etc). I imagine this other religion is more superstition based, or like the horoscopes and palm readings and Tarot cards and what not. More spiritual kinda

  • @ me Pois.

I have to write a detailed 1500 word personal narrative, and nothing really interesting has happened in my life that changed me, at least not yet. So I’m writing about my stories and worldbuilding, because that’s what’s important to me and changed me as a person (my family is of course important, but haven’t changed my)

So anyway which one of the religions?

  • A 1500 word personal narrative?? I'd probably write 5 sentences and wonder what the hell I've done with my life XD

(EDIT-- Actually, I remember writing one of these in S5 (second last year of high school)! I was gonna write about my dog's death, cause that had happened the year before and it had really had an effect on me, but then our teacher was like 'oh, and no writing about really sad depressing stuff cause I don't wanna trigger anyone' so I ended up writing about a melting snowman).

I've got a 1500 word biochemistry essay due in 2 weeks, a 1500 word biochemistry lab report due in 1 week, 2 end of trimester exams in a few weeks to revise for, 5 random tests scattered throughout the next few weeks before the holidays (including one next week), and my laptop chose the very worst time to kill itself. I've lost all of my personal files, and all of my work, and I need to write 2 essays without a laptop which had all my notes...

What do you mean? Do you mean what one of the religions do I mean that I like? Cause I was talking about the animal 'pagan-like' one.

  • Ah I meant the concept, not the religion, my apologies.

So what would that look like exactly? The Sun & Moon as high deities and the other gods as animals, yeah?

Ohoho! I have to have mine done by tomorrow, and I’m already behind two tests πŸ˜₯ I’m so screwed haha

  • Thank Mys, for both the statement and hug

But yeah the Rhili are pagan gypsies, or at least the peasantry are. I feel the higher powers have less beliefs and are more atheistic.

So Eniddia is knowledge based, Espar is agriculture, and the Viae are golddigging dickheads.. Hallowwind, Rhilissi, and the C’noma are still undecided. Maybe C’noma are more primitive Island fishers and rice growers, Hallowwind, like we discussed is orientalist and maybe cold as heck (like the Rito in Breath of the Wild? But like.. a bit warmer?) the humans there probably do lots of metal work as the harpies live higher more in the mountains and forests while the humans live towards the ground and maybe in tHe mountains. Rhilissi... I think are nomadic herders who do lots of livestock care and focus also heavily on the arts.

  • Okay double post but idgaf

I’m writing the history and honestly, I won’t be able to type it out anytime soon, at least in the details it’s in (I have big handwriting and some specific events are stated.)

Would y’all (or anyone who wants to write the history lmao) like it if I summarize it and you can interpret it with more flavorish words to make it sound better or would you rather have me take pictures of the actual notes. My handwriting is like chicken scratch a bit but you will definitely get more for your money if I put the pictures (currently 3 notepad pages back and front but will probs be like five-six when I’m done)

  • Okay so it’s 4 Pages front and back, and this is only the history of Eniddia hothead Viae and Hallowwind are technically part of Eniddia’s mainland so they are partially involved but only slightly.

A few other things to note

-I mention two naga tribes/clans in here, the naga and the West naga. West naga migrated to Espar after a major war and didn’t ally with the centaurs. Naga are technically east naga but I accidentally just called them naga so πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

-there are shot ton of breaks in time. This is because a) I didn’t want it to go on forever and b) I’m lazy so I didn’t want to write in places that didn’t have much history.

-this is still a basis, but gets more detailed as it gets closer to the current time.

-a good page and a half have no set time because time was recorded. I am going to say it’s about thousands of years between creation and recorded time, and even more thousands of years from initial creation to where the races were intelligent enough to be Demas’ modern races.

-If you want anything clarified please ask my handwriting is garbage.

    -Everything is sideways oops

  • That's really cool! I really enjoyed reading all of it!!!~

It's quite detailed, too. I got a good feel for how the timeline shifted between events. Wouldn't be surprised to find this lurking in some scholarly library, to be honest. <3

  • Yeah the scholars have a detailed history that go into even more details except for the 200 years that were lost.

And this is only Eniddia! I have like at least two others to do :’)

Please talk to me I’m super hyped for this and want bounce ideas off of someone

  • I would not be allowed into their libraries

    I would never leave it

    They'd have to evict me.

I sometimes wonder if one of the ancient dragons was driven to extinction because its bones/fire/venom or whatever was considered a valuable property in one of the historic wars, so it was hunted to extinction by both sides or smth.

Also, as I finish up the wildlife register - I feel like Tiphidel and Viranil would be creatures with strong back legs or that could climb large trees in order to tackle harpies out of the sky.

    I miss Mama Blue ;-;

Also yes throw all your ideas at me let me bask in them

  • Omg me. The palaces themselves are strikingly beautiful, which is weird, as Odem don’t particularly care about cleanliness in their workspaces.

Y.eah a dragon species might have been driven to extinction because of that, and you bet your bottom bottom dollar there are animals that hunt the naga & harpies. Maybe it was sometimes common in the past, but the centaurs made the alliance to protect the naga from any predators. Harpies justmoved more into the mountains and made Cities that spiral too high for predators to climb

I wanna hear the kind of stuff you can come up with! Now I’m working on the culture of both the races as well as the countries/kingdoms. So anything is open. If you can come up with something really good for one particular region I will probs dub you β€˜ambassador of __’

  • I will clean the libraries.

    I will.

Maybe some alternate universe me is just chilling there as a maid or smth lol

    Some of my favorites rn:

    Nokori

    Dragon

    Arid

    Mythical

Nokori are known as the dragons of the skies. They breathe no fire, nor do they possess venom or poison. Rather, nokori have long, slender wings in sets of six that allow them to swoop through the air and snatch up their prey with curved, sickle like talons. They enjoy preying on the more squishy of animal life, and have a strong aversion to armored or scaled creatures. However, several have learned to cope with plucking off totona shells, knight armor, and naga scales. Once enslaved as warbeasts - until they broke out and turned a bloody battlefield into massacreΒ².

    Tiphidel

    Large Feline

    Widespread - Mountainous and Desert

    Predator

A multi patterned feline that has a dangerous tendency to stalk travelers out in the mountains. Strong, springy back legs allow them to leap up and off the ground, tackling prey out of the air or off vehicles/mounts.

    Thorny Sikiri

    Crocodilian

    Desert

    Predator

Sikiri are a dangerous species, with thorn-like scales that jut out from the skin and the ability to transition between legs to the side and legs underneath. A barbed tail and snake-like fangs drip venom that could most definitely kill. On the bright side - all you have to do to defeat these muddy-looking beasts is break their flimsy, flexible ankles.

    Viranil

    Marsupial Leopard

    Forest

    Predator

Medium sized felines with dappled, muddy patterns and beaver like teeth. Large, curved claws help to grasp trees. Come in browns and reds.

Drew a pic for this one:

    Eventine

    Draconic

    Mountainous

    Mythical

A peculiar, nocturnal creature. It dwells in the deep crevices of the mountains, only crawling out of the stonework for the light of the night sky. It has six limbs, the middle set helping with clambering up the steep slopes. Indigo and bioluminescent, you won’t see them until they’re right in front of you. However, their escape routes are limited - wings once useful for flight are now generally useless for anything but gliding and flapping around.

I'm excited to see what comes of all the races, cultures, kingdoms, etc. It sounds super fun~
