When had she begun to get so large? She began pondering that as she returned to her shed from a long trip herb hunting. Ai was the size of a normal apprentice for the most part, still resting upon the smaller side of the spectrum for the most part. Kit fat began to give way to more lean muscles. Her shoulders more broad, more strong looking. Her claws had become like razors ready to claw into any threat that might double cross her. She though still felt child like in some areas. Her body had not fully given up said kit fat, leading her to still look slightly plump and innocent. Though it was clear Ai had grown to her mark of adolescence.

After finishing her duties of sorting, Ai ignored her head mates claims of being unfair and not giving them time. Ai was the main personality after all. With a sigh she raised to her strong legs and carried herself back to the hotel. Catching a small vole along the way for herself to eat, once arriving the teenage healer climbed swiftly onto her coffee table and began carefully tearing at her prey with ease.

//Teenage ai is now a thing everyone

  • ai was a special case among bloodclan. the girl had managed to fix herself an important position at merely three moons, a rank of which most would have only received once they had doubled that age. and, as if that were not enough, in the absence of the group's primary healer she had been in lieu by default. a child doing an adult's job - impressive, if not undeniably stupid on the rest of bloodclan's part. most of them had their pride held so far above them it wasn't visible even from the pedestal they'd place themselves atop. if she'd needed to take on someone to train, hardly any of the cats would have had the humility or gall to give her the respect she deserved all because she was a kitten.

that wasn't the case anymore, however. the multi-dimensional feline was growing up. vera hadn't known her long, had only happened to catch the tail ends of her fleeting youth, but she had finally hit the "coming of age" point. half a year. for someone so young, naive in their eyes, it was remarkable that she knew as much as she did. ai was their doctor. she was a child and their lives rested in her hands. it was quite the burden for a little girl to carry.

from her spot on a stool some few feet off from where the dilute calico ate her meal, vera would take note of how she'd grown. maturity was sharpening her edges, whittling her into a carving that'd be something lovely to look at one day. for now, the remnants of kitten fat hung in her cheeks and guarded her belly. the stress of her role hadn't weighed her down any it seemed. it was nice, truly, that the girl could have such a good childhood given the circumstances.

first, she was happy. then, there was envy. finally, vera couldn't look at her anymore.

  • Grasspaw tended to avoid the hotel due to the copious amounts of Bloodclanners, but today his curiosity had gotten the best of him, so the apprentice waited until almost nobody was around before slipping through the front doors. Once inside the building, he stiffly jumped up onto a worn out chair and started to glance around, noting with some dissatisfaction that there appeared to be two other people in the room. While he recognized one of the felines as Vera, the younger, pudgier one was a complete stranger to him. Not wanting to go up and talk to Ai in person, the apprentice instead decided to jump down onto the floor, watching the diluted calico with an unreadable gaze as she tore into her prey.

  • ★ ★ ★ -- Ai had grown over the moons. From a timid, small and quiet feline to an intelligent healer. Taboa could remember when Freya had dragged the seemingly sad scrap of fur into the hotel, the former Elite guard claiming that she'd take care of the youth and aid her growing up. Granted, Taboa had been skeptical, but Freya had always had a motherly side to her, hadn't she? Taboa had thought little of it; more members would be good for BloodClan, and Freya had been allowed to keep her. In all honesty, Taboa had not expected the tiny kit to even make it into adolescence. Then again, there were some things Taboa didn't have a habit of expecting.

She remembered it like yesterday; a warm memory that one would conjure on a lazy afternoon. Appointing Ai as the healer apprentice, to study under Nikolaos. Taboa would have believed that such a kit would not be fully ready to take full responsibility of a healer yet, but the calico had believed that such a youth would have her chance to grow. Ai did, yet she had seemed far too young even at the time of Nikolaos's apparent retirement. No one else had fit the requirement to become a healer or a healer apprentice; and Ai had been bumped up to be in possession of such an important rank. A rank that could determine the lives of their own forces.

Now, Ai was settling into her rank like a fine skin. Taboa was almost proud of the youth, though in her opinion, there was still much for Ai to learn. She was only an adolescent after all; much room for approvement, much more time to hone her claws till they were deadly blades that could tear through flesh with ease.

Ai had strolled through the building with a vole in maw to eat. Taboa had barely noticed the changes. Growing up was a slow process after all. It didn't happen it a giant spurt overnight that you just happened to notice. In the calico's mind, nothing looked odd about the fem, though if someone were to point it out to Taboa, the leader would immediately recognize such changes.

The fem, who had been lounging on the coffee desk beforehand perked up ever so slightly when Ai arrived to dig into her catch.

"You seem to be enjoying your food." Taboa noted dryly with an air of amusement, ears angled forward. "I've not seen you in quite some time."

The teenage fem truly had aging she needed to complete. But, it was true. Ai took the challenges of being a healer with pride. She was smart, clever, and truly capable. As well as it was rare she was ever truly alone. Thanks to the fact she had three other felines who shared her body. The young healer's sweeping gaze moved across the room taking note of everyone within the room. Vera, a cat she needs to meet, and the bloodclan queen herself. Speaking of their brave ruler, Ai flicked her fluffy feather like tail behind her as she glanced to Taboa. ``Ah, yeah it's alright. Sorry about being gone for a while, I had a lot of herbs to gather.`` She calmly hums for a moment with a soft shrug of her shoulder.
