  • Inola glanced around, happily noting the brighter color of Lemon's hair in contrast with the rest of the room. He was an almost obnoxiously neon presence, except he wasn't because he looked so obviously sweet and ditzy there was no way.

"Hi! I'm Ino. Cool name." She pointed out. "That's Tell! Say hi, Tell." She tapped her friend on the shoulder.

Tell blinked awkwardly, trying to switch out of a conversation about reading material and into meeting yet another new person. "Oh- hi."

  • "Oh, cool! Hah, that's kind of funny, if you combine your names it kinda sounds like Intel- Inotell... Intel! Anyway, sorry, Crystal tells me my jokes are silly. Nice to meet you both, though!" Lemonade was still smiling almost as brightly as his hair, but it was apparent he was a bit self-conscious.

"Pff, alright Lemonerd. That's the worst one in a while," Crystal said, then noticing something behind Lemonade. The way it seemed, most of the kids and staff had gotten here at this point, and Mr. N was climbing onto a stage and adjusting his tie. He took a microphone Lleu handed to him.

"Hello one and all!" He said, smiling brightly in a weird way that made him look more sly than he actually was. "I am very pleased to announce the start of this historically accurate, informative and interactive game of 'Who's the Murderer?' and 'Find the Witch' with a proceeding trial! The type of death for the witch or murderer depends on the level of the crime- altogether, we've got..." he looked at a flashcard in his apparently very disorganized pockets, as he almost pulled out a... good question, what was that? "Ah, five possible different deaths! There is... hanging, drowning, stoning, the witch's cradle, and an oddly specific one of which they would place stones onto the victim's chest so they could barely breathe and couldn't get up, and would give them food and drink only at three day intervals until they died." He frowned, in thought. "There was also burning at the stake, but unless someone is able to produce a lighter, I'm not sure it will be possible." He pulled out a paper that presumably had instructions for the game written on it.

"Now, of course they won't be actual people, but effigies of the accused, so no need to worry about that. It is much less accurate though," he grumbled, as if he came to this decision begrudgingly. "Here are your instructions: One. Take a paper from the end of the table closest to Ms. Josephine," he nodded toward Jo, who waved and smiled toward the students. "It should give you your role, like whether you're an innocent, a murderer, a witch, a member of the mafia, etc. as well as explain the other roles. Your role will be underlined with two lines and starred. Two. Read over your role's abilities and circumstances they can be used in or win in on the back of the paper, i.e. 'Medium: Talks to the dead at night. Wins with the town and Survivors.' or 'Consigliere: Spies and collects info for the mafia- becomes mafioso when the previous mafioso and godfather have died. Wins with the Mafia and Survivors.' If you're an amnesiac or a mafia turned mafioso and need instructions for your new role, locate me and I will give them to you." He folded the stapled paper over to the next page.

"Three. Your job is to keep your role hidden to everyone but your team members so that you aren't killed by an opposing team. You are not prohibited from revealing your role to the public, but as a precaution, you should keep it hidden. Revealing of other mafia members by mafia or of serial killers by other serial killers is considered gamethrowing and you will be disqualified and punished unless it was on accident. Fourth, if you die, go to the room to the right, which is normally the staff lounge, but has been reserved as the 'afterlife' room for this event. If you're the medium, as long as you're not jailed, you can go to this room and speak to the dead. Speaking of night, it will be pitch black in the room during the two minute night intervals- this is so that you can't see who visits who. If you're an investigating role, come up to one of the counselors the next day and tell them your role and who you visited the night before, and they will give you your info. If you're a role who can't visit at night, don't move, keep your eyes closed, and cover your ears. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. If you're tapped on the shoulder, go to the 'afterlife' room and stay there unless a retributionist comes to bring you back. If someone touches the back of your hand, you were roleblocked. If someone touches your forearm, you were transported. If someone grabs both of your arms, you were controlled by a witch. If someone grabs your wrist lightly, go to the room to the left, which will be the jail, where you will be interrogated by the jailor. It's pitch black in there, and the jailor will be given a voice modifier so that you can't tell who they are." He flipped to the last page.

"Fifth. Lights of any kind during the night intervals will be confiscated and it's possible that you will be disqualified. During the five minute day intervals, you will be able to vote to send a person to trial. Do this by saying, 'I vote for...' and then the person's name. Once they are sent to the trial stand, which is the stage I am standing on, they will be asked to reveal their role and probably provide the info in their will to back up their claim. Speaking of, you will be given three pieces of paper to write any information you've gathered on, and that will be your will. If you're a killing role, you will be given a piece of paper to write a killing note on, which you will leave at the person you killed's spot. You can leave info like '6 is immune' or '2 is the jester' on these if you wish to remain anonymous but spread vital info. Back to the voting, there will be a voting box and you will write either 'innocent' or 'guilty' on a slip of paper and write your name. For evidence purposes, these votes are not anonymous and your vote will be revealed after the person is either lynched or leaves the trial stand. You may also choose to abstain from voting."

"Phew, that was a lot of talking! I'm pretty sure that's it, any additional info should be on your role papers, and anything else, ask me or the counselors. Have fun, I hope you're all guilty of having a good time!" He chuckled at his own joke and handed the microphone back to Lleu.

"Dinner will be out in five minutes," announced Lleu. "Please find your spots and remember the number on the back of your chair, as this will be your spot you will have to return to for the remainder of the time."

  • Ino watched the men with a mild sense of dread present in her expression. When they finished, she laughed a little shakily, leaning her elbow on the table. “You think he got carried away? A little bit?”

Tell shook her head slowly, folding her hands under her chin with a thoughtful look on her face. She was still processing, apparently, because she didn’t do anything else.

“I dunno what the heck to do, and I bet nobody else does either.” Ino sat up decisively.

Tell shrugged. “You can just get yourself ‘killed’ if you want. Sit out for a while.”

“I’m not losing.” Inola responded. She looked mortified. “I’ll just cheat!”

    “You can’t do that.”

Ino rolled her eyes, moving her fingers around in a dismissive manner. “Sure sure. Crys, you wanna play dirty with me?” She stood up, about to make towards the table where Jo was. “I think I could offer my services as a replacement lighter, if I get bored. And Tell! Eun!” She looked over her shoulder. "I'll yell at you guys if I can't figure something out, I guess. I think that's allowed."

  • Crystal tapped his fingers on the table boredly. "He usually does," he deadpanned in response to Inola.

But in response to Inola's later question, he replied: "Yeah, there's no way I'm losing either, by foul means or not. So, I"m up for it if you are!" He flashed a toothy grin.

Eun shrugged. "I don't know if I agree with either of you cheating, but sure, I'll help if you're confused with anything."

Lemon was the first to get to the table, and he grabbed one of the pieces of paper spread out there without looking. "I just hope it isn't too hard to understand my role, but all in all it sounds fun- maybe we'll understand better once we actually play?"

Crystal and Eun also picked up a piece of paper, and they all read them with differing results.

"Cool! I get to be a her- I mean, I got a cool role!" Lemon beamed.

Eun glanced at the paper passively. "I guess mine's not too bad."

Crystal took one look at his underlined word and smirked. "Oh boy, this one's gonna be fun. What a great coincidence," he snickered.
