The oldest brother stepped forward and as Eleanor poured to tea he offered a cup to everyone in the room. First to Elizabeth, then her grandmother and then to his parents. He met his father's eye who still seemed a bit unhappy. The two stared at each other for a long moment before his father slowly sighed and took the tea. It was clear from their brief interactions that he was much closer with his mother than his father. His father and he found themselves at odds over some topics gardening being one. His engagement was the biggest one but, luckily no one had brought it up yet. Passing out the last of the cups to his siblings he smiled and nodded with Elizabeth's decision. Of course he would have been fine with her turning down his offer in favor of Ned's. He felt his heart jump a bit with excitement wanting to show her the spoils of their work.

"Of course we can go as soon as we are finished with tea if you wish." Resuming his spot beside his siblings Eleanor now laid out biscuits and scones on plates arranging them neatly before handing them out. Lydia leaned forward so she could see Elizabeth better. "Not before you honor your word. Go on please I am dying to know who the tailor was." She insisted her hair already sticking out from the up-do his mother had worked at least a good hour on. Taking his own cup Will simply laughed and sipped his tea. "I would tell her, she will not let it go until you do." He was joking of course, well mostly Lydia could be very persistent.

Brightening up at Elizabeth's suggestion he took the cup nodding gratefully to his brother. "I hope neither will disappoint." Smiling he leaned forward against the back of the sofa. "This will not be your last visit I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to spend with all of us as you like." Brandon spoke laying his cup off to the side looking from Ned to Will and then settled on Elizabeth. "Go enjoy my brothers' company. I know they very much enjoy your's." A devilish grin played across his face. Will merely laughed it off but, Edward turned very red and studied his tea trying to find his composure while he did so.

Clearing his throat he rubbed his arm. "Of course we are fond of your company." He assured looking back at his brother as a warning to shut up. Brandon sighed softly at the look and resumed looking at Elizabeth. "Is it only her company you are fond of, dear brother?" Brandon raised a brow before innocently taking a bite of a biscuit. Edward looked down shyly wanting to avoid the topic all together. He was already humiliated enough by his brother.

  • She smiled as she was handed a cup and thanked the sister and brother for the tea. Elizabeth noticed the interaction between Fitzwilliam and his father was stiff and a little awkward. Though his mother spoke about him proudly when she talked about the fact he gardened with her. Even if the Lord didn't want his son to garden, she was glad the Lady appreciated it and supported it. "I would love to go after tea. I can't wait to see what you and your mother have done." She said with a smile. "And knowing you two, I won't be disappointed by what you show me. Gardens and animals can't disappoint me easily." Elizabeth added as

    Edward spoke up.

She laughed as Lydia quickly reminded her of her promise though it wasn't for gotten. "Don't worry, I was getting to that soon." Elizabeth said with a laugh at Will's joke. "The tailor's name is Francis Bernard. He apparently moved from France to England a year or so ago. He has a boutique in London and we got it there. My grandmother had heard of him during a trip to France a while back." Elizabeth said with smile as she glanced her grandmother in case she got anything wrong. Her grandmother simply smiled, a sign that she had gotten everything correct. "I will write down the address if you want." She added with a friendly smile.

Looking up as Brandon got her attention, she blushed a little at his words and his obviously teasing grin, unsure of how to respond to him. She smiled a little as Edward spoke up though her blush brightened up a little as Brandon added another comment again. "I.. I'm sure he's just playing with you, Edward." She spoke up trying to make him feel better though she felt flustered herself and knew that he at least had a small crush on her. Not that she'd call him out or try to lead him on knowing his feelings. She wanted to be friends for now and not make anything awkward.

Excitedly perking up she nodded enthusiastically listening to Elizabeth. "Mother it is perfect we can go there when we are in London next month. Please may we go?" She asked sweetly before her mother gave a soft nod that indeed they could. Lydia settled back satisfied now. "Thank you so much I have been dying to know ever since I saw you last night." Giggling Eleanor took a sip of her tea. "Of course we will go to all the best places London has to offered." She assured her sister.

Watching the pair Will wondered if Eleanor realized she had actually let out a laugh she almost never laughed. "Yes London is extremely fun for women because you can go shopping or make social visits. We are just dragged along to carry the parcels." Fitzwilliam teased his sisters with a soft smile to show there were no hurt feelings. Glancing over at Edward he sighed slightly. "He didn't mean it as an insult I'm sure."

    "Speech."

Letting out a soft breath he tried to regain his composure and not look like such a fool. Of course sometimes he wished he could have thicker skin to Brandon's constant jests and teases. Looking down at Elizabeth he opened his mouth to answer but, felt a slap on his back. "She is right I was only teasing Ned." Brandon assured drawing a deep breath Edward looked at his younger brother shaking his head but, offered a short laugh. "I am much to serious sometimes." He laughed shaking his head

The color slowly left his cheeks looking at his mother who shook her head softly at Brandon. "Oh please do at least pretend you are respectful of you brothers when guests are around." She sighed before taking another sip of her tea. Edward hooked an arm around his shorter brother ruffling up his hair. "I will pay Brandon back soon enough no damage done." He laughed trying to move on from the awkward moment.

  • She laughed a little at her excitement and said, "Just give me some paper or remind me later to write it down for you. I don't want you to end up looking for it during you're trip." Elizabeth had noticed Eleanor giggle and was a bit surprised and excited to see the normally smug female in a happy mood. She tried not to let it show and took a sip of tea again. She smiled as Will spoke up and laughed a little. "Well you can't expect women to carry the boxes. Shopping until you drop just wouldn't be as fun." Elizabeth teased back playfully. "Elizabeth, please. You don't let me spoil you and never buy anything." Her grandmother spoke up, causing her to blush a little. "I'll take her out shopping and every time we'll find something cute and she won't let me get it for her." She complained. "She is just as stubborn as my son."

Elizabeth laughed a little awkwardly. "If I had to get one thing from Father it was his strong will." She laughed softly. She looked up as Brandon got scolded by mother and laughed a little. "Edward, if you get him back, get him back twice as hard for me." She laughed looking at him and Brandon before taking a sip of tea.

Nodding she stood up and almost sprinted out of the room. "Slow down or you'll take Mrs. Lovett again." The Lord of the house called after his daughter who was already half way down the hall. A soft thud could be heard an "Oh dear!". The Lord sighed shaking his head as he stood up and walked to the doorway. Lydia and the old woman, Mrs. Lovett were both sprawled out on the floor. He peaked his head back in the room. "Brandon come help." The youngest brother quickly obeyed untangling himself from Edward's hold before disappearing into the hall after their father. Will shook his head briefly. "Every time she takes off somehow she ends up taking out our old governess, Mrs. Lovett." Will explained shaking his head slightly. After a couple minutes Brandon and Lord Bennett appeared again Lydia on their heels clutching paper close to her chest. Lady Bennett stood up and began looking over her daughter fretfully. Seeing no injuries she looked to her husband. "Mrs. Lovett is fine as well." He assured settling back down beside his wife.

Fitzwilliam did let out a soft chuckle at Elizabeth's response to his joke. When her grandmother countered with the fact she did not let her buy her anything Lydia and Eleanor looked at her seeming concerned. "But, how can you not enjoy shopping that's almost unheard of." Eleanor said staring at her blankly. "Everyone has their own interests if shopping is not one of her's there is nothing wrong with that." Will cut in looking at his sister who straightened up and offered an apologetic smile. "Of course, I didn't mean offense by it." She mumbled taking a sip of her tea. "At least you three will enjoy London. Edward, Brandon, and I will just grin and bare it just like every year."

    "Speech."

Edward blinked as he watched his sister run out and manage to take out their governess which he was sure she was going to get scolded for later on. Tipping his head he looked over at Elizabeth and her awkward laugh. In his momentary distraction Brandon slipped out of his grasp to go help their father get Lydia up. "I will most certainly make sure he gets what is coming to him." He assured leaning against the couch. He quietly sipped his tea until the whole mess with his sister was sorted out.

An older looking woman appeared in the door giving a soft sigh. "I have the coat you asked me to wash and clean Edward." She said holding out the coat that he had given the night before. Edward nodded thankfully and took the coat offering it to Mrs. Ermengarde.

    "Speech."

Let everyone know you can take a body blow

  • Elizabeth looked up as she heard the collision from the hallway. She was about to get up and see if they were okay, but seeing as this seem to happen a lot by their reactions she stayed on the couch. Though a look of concern came across her face as she glanced at the door. "Oh... Does that mean she has bad luck or just really good timing?" she asked, partly serious about the question as Will explained the situation. As everyone came back into the room, she was happy to see none of the women were hurt in the accident. Her grandmother smiled as the coat was handed to her. "Thank you for returning this Edward, and thank you, Mrs. Lovett."

As things got back on track, she blushed a little at the two sisters looks and comments. She smiled looking up as Will defended her. "It's fine, girls... I just feel bad for spending money and it's not really my money either... I'm used to earning and saving money to pay for supplies and, if harvest was bad, groceries. I really am glad that she likes to buy me stuff but I feel guilty and I don't want to impose either." She rambled awkwardly. "I only met her months ago but she's taken so much care of me that I really don't need anymore than that." Elizabeth murmured glancing up at her grandmother. "Oh dear, you're not imposing in the slightest. I just want to make you happy and give you a life you deserve." Her grandmother said folding the coat on her lap.

"Besides, now you have three lovely ladies and three charming men to help you get comfortable and acquainted." Her grandmother said with a soft smile, taking a sip of her tea. "Don't worry about a thing anymore, Elizabeth. You have so much to learn and people to help."

  • (Mobile)

The two sisters nodded slowly in understanding looking a bit embarrassed as well. They hadn't meant to be rude or pry into things, it was just very usual to them since they had lived this way their entire lives and had never really thought of much outside it. Eleanor's eyes softened only slightly but, it was still a positive change for the moment. Lydia nodded softly running her hand down the material of her dress. Lady Bennett looked between Elizabeth and her Grandmother. "I can only imagine how hard it is to adjust to things. Do not feel guilty for feeling out of place. I do hope you still can find some happiness in it." She offered with a smile as all of the siblings nodded in agreement. "If you ever need help in social situations or gardening advice I would be happy to help." William added setting down his empty tea cup. He shot a bit of a glance towards his father who only looked down at his tea not acknowledging his son. Really he was happy to help and he knew all of his siblings would love to help too.

Lydia and Eleanor looked at one another before looking back at Elizabeth. "If you ever need anyone to gossip with we happen to know things about a lot of people." Lydia offered excitedly although she received a stern look from her mother. Clearly gossiping was looked down upon by their mother. "We are clearly all very happy to help." Edward joked trying to get the attention away from Lydia who had just admitted to gossiping at the moment. Fanny and Brandon would also loved to help he knew but, Brandon would never admit it and Fanny didn't want to raise her voice.

  • "It's not like I don't find comfort in it... I know that she gave me more than I could've ever dreamed of. As a poor woman, I can't really get a job nor had a good education to back myself up so the property my late parents left me as their only heir quickly went to waste and I couldn't pay for it after a few months. My grandmother was first spoken about in their will and she took me in after we first met. Now I have so many opportunities I can't possibly have ever imagined for myself because I met her." Elizabeth explained, smiling a little awkwardly at first though it grew as she spoke about the new opportunities she received. "I can read and write now, Im able to try different types of food, pursue some interests I have, and I'm a lot more excited about starting a family of my own one day knowing I won't have to worry as much about them." She added excitedly

. Her grandmother practically shed a tear of joy as she heard her talking. "That's my granddaughter! Humble and sweet!" She cheered looking at her. The younger female blushed at the doting grandmother but smiled a little as the Bennetts showed their support. "Actually I did come for some social advice too and I might be after some gardening advice when it'd be a bit better to start a garden of my own or I might offer some advice of my own." She laughed looking at Fitzwilliam with a smile to show she was serious. Elizabeth let out another small laugh as she was offered a gossip session with the two sisters. "I can't say no to that" she said simply, trying to avoid the stern look their mother gave the two, obviously opposing the activity. She smiled at Edward and said, "I really do appreciate the help. I hope in the future I can help you all with anything you need in my own way.."

  • (Sorry to for the late reply)

The Bennett siblings listened attentively. It was a hard thing for them to really grasp since, they lived such a different life. Although it was different they were glad to hear it. Edward smiled despite himself when her smile started to widen talking about all the things she could do now. Elizabeth and her grandmother already seemed very close already. The siblings may not have understood all she had been through they still appreciated how genuine and grateful she seemed for it all.

When things moved away from the heavier topics Will chuckled to himself. "I would always be happy to give either please though do not offer advice to my mother about her roses she is certain it was perfect already." The young man smiled and his mother waved her hand dismissively in the air. "It is the pride of my garden I simply did not enjoy when Miss Crawford found several faults with them and offered her own advice for them. I will accept advice but, only if it is done with tact." She said promptly smiling to Elizabeth. "My children make it seem as if I breath fire and spit poison."

  • She smiled a little as she watched the mother and son as they talked about the roses. "Don't worry, Lady Bennett. I can assure you I won't judge any flowers that I see and depending on what flowers you've have, I might not have any advice for it. Besides I only dealt with flowers in the countryside so I'm excited to see your garden. The only rose in countryside that I dealt with was Dog Rose — which doesn't look like a rose if you haven't seen it." She said with a smile. “And I can definitely assure you that I don't believe you can spit poison or breath fire, Lady Bennett.” Elizabeth reassured with a small laugh. “I’ve never met a gardener who could do such a thing.”

She smiled and looked to Edward. “I promise that I'll still make time to visit the stables with you. I just might spend a little more time in the gardens exploring.” Elizabeth said sheepishly looking at Edward. “If I keep you waiting for too long, feel free to drag me out of the garden. I try to keep my promises.” She said with a smile.

  • Lady Bennett relaxed slightly her smile widened. "I think you will enjoy the garden dear." Looking to Will and then to her husband. "Why don't you two go look at the gardens now?" She suggested thinking it would take them a while to make their way through the expansive estate garden. Will nodded turning to look at Elizabeth with a slight raised brow. "I will be happy to show you whenever you are ready." The young man offered with a smile not wanting to rush her or seem like he was being rude.

Waving his hand in the air dismissively he smiled back down at her. "Take your time the horses will be there still." Glancing at his sisters he thought he caught them looking at him expectantly. Looking at them for a moment perplexed he shook his head and turned away. "We may have to come pull you out before dark however." He added playfully ignoring his sisters for now.

  • Elizabeth smiled and said, "I know I'll enjoy your garden. Especially if you and Will worked really hard on it. Gardens always seem better when you know it was made by two people who wanted to do it." She looked up as she was offered to explore the garden now. She nodded and smiled at Will and said, "Let me take one last sip of tea and we can go." She took the last sip of her tea and set the cup down on the table and stood up to show she was ready for Will to take her to the garden. She smiled as Edward spoke up. "Thank you, Edward. I really can't wait to see the horses later on." Elizabeth laughed at his next comment and said playfully, "Good to know, just don't go horse calling after me in the garden." she giggled a bit at her own pun.

  • Nodding politely Fitzwilliam was of course in no real hurry. When she did set did finish and stood he walked over offering her is arm and was about to lead the way. That was until, she looked back at Edward. At her pun the siblings laughed softly although Brandon groaned from where he was sitting as if the pun had actually been physically painful to him. Will rolled his eyes before starting to lead the way to the gardens. Holding the door for her as they left the sitting room he then followed her through the winding hallway and down a small flight of stairs. At the bottom was a large entryway. Over the door written in very clumsy and uneven letters Bennett Family Garden. Chuckling at the sight of his writing he shook his head. "I did that when I was six. Me, Ned, and Eleanor stacked a bunch of dining room chairs until I could reach." Smiling lightly at the memory he lead her to a large open courtyard surrounded by shrubs. Footpaths winding off in every direction.

As they entered the courtyard ivy climbed up the remains of an stone figure. "Where would you like to see first?" He asked motioning to the large variety of paths they could take from here.

  • Elizabeth gladly took the arm that was offered to her. She grinned at her puns that made most of the siblings laugh before taking her leave. "Thank you, Will." She said as he opened the door for her and walked out, waiting for him to take the lead before she got lost on her own. She followed after the taller male with a small smile as she was taken through the manors halls and stairs. She looked up as she noticed a door and awkward looking sign hanging over the door. She made a face of mock surprise as he explained the sign and how it got there. "You mean... you weren't always this giant? I feel so deceived.." she teased, holding her hand above her head to compare her height with his for dramatic effect.

Once again she found herself following the eldest son into a courtyard. She looked around in awe before smiling to Will. "Take me on the Fitzwilliam tour! You know this place a lot better than I do, Will. Where do you think we should start?" She asked with a soft smile as she looked around at the paths ahead of her.
