Helping her down he was glad she didn't trip with how dark it was already. He had left the lantern hanging on the saddle of his horse so his hands would be free. "No I will be-" As he began to object a loud clap of thunder came from behind him and the rain became heavier larger drops falling on him. "I suppose I can not refuse now." He tried to reassure her since he would live if he should come home drenched or sick. Still, he hoped maybe if he accepted her offer it would help put her mind at ease.

He started to lead the way up to the mansion as he watched the rain fall and drip off of the brim of his hat. Having his head covered made the rain much more tolerable then it would have been otherwise. He breifly took off his hat to shake off some of the water before putting it back on quickly when he felt the fat drops hit his face. "I will be fine I promise and you will see me again soon enough so you can scold me then if I do indeed get sick." He was saying as a joke not wanting to worry her since he knew that besides some wet clothing no harm would come to him.

  • Elizabeth jumped slightly in surprise at the loud and sudden thunderclap before looking up at him with a small embarrassed laugh at her own surprise. "Let's go, shall we? We shouldn't keep you out too late when the weather is as horrid as it is now." She said with an encouraging quick smile before hurrying up to the porch under a small ledge just above the grand front doors after him. She had to hold up the sides of her dress and petticoats, trying not to trip and fall as she escaped the heavy rain. She smiled at his joke and laughed, "Scold you? I probably try to help take care of you and then scold you once you're healthy." With that she opened the front doors and gave him a small curtsy. "Welcome to the Ermengarde Mansion, Edward." Elizabeth added with a smile as he came in.

Just as she let him in, an older Lady appeared in an evening gown. "Elizabeth! Darling, you're back- With a friend?" The elderly woman asked with a raised eyebrow. "Uh, yes, Grandmother this is Edward Bennett. He escorted me home tonight. I was hoping that he could borrow one of Grandfathers old jackets since it is raining out. Tomorrow we can retrieve it since we were invited for tea." The widow's eyes widened at the news she made a friend and that they were invited back. "Good girl, Elizabeth!" She praised ecstatic about the news and turned to Edward and curtsied. "Young gentleman, I sincerely appreciate you escorting my Elizabeth home. Please make yourself comfortable while a servant fetches a decent coat fit for the rain." With that she nodded to a nearby servant who hurried to catch a coat.

"Edward Bennett, huh? I haven't seen or talked to you or your family in a while. How are you and your family doing?" Elizabeth's grandmother inquired as she made idle chat to fill the time.

Chuckling as he followed her inside he paused briefly to dust off his boots at the door. Looking around inside he looked back to Elizabeth. "It is lovely." Ned vaguely remembered coming here on a visit with his family as a boy, it had been years since however. The mansion was still as grand as he remembered. His attention turned to the older woman in the nigh gown who came in clearly curious who her granddaughter had let into their house.

As Elizabeth introduced him he bowed politely and nodded to the older woman. He couldn't help but, smile when he saw how excited the woman was at the news that Elizabeth had earned an invitation back so soon. "It is nice to see you Mrs. Ermengarde. You have a lovely granddaughter that me and my siblings have already grown fond of. It was really no trouble at all. Since she came alone I thought it only right to see she got home safely." To make himself comfortable he merely removed his hat since he didn't want to be rude since both women probably were ready to retire for the night.

Holding his hat in his hands he gave a small nod. "They are doing well as ever. My sisters have made their first appearances and are excited for the social season. My brothers are both doing well themselves. Fitzwilliam is set to be married in the spring." He mentioned all these things casually clearly better at conversation when he was relaxed. He also didn't know that Will had failed to mention his engagement to Elizabeth.

  • “Thank you, Mister Bennett.” Her grandmother said with a soft smile as she was told about her granddaughters night at the ball. “She’s not the best at socializing and I can not just talk for her all her life. I'm glad she has had a splendid time and made her own friends as well. I was almost worried she'd end up trying to talk to the servants instead the actual guests. I appreciate you and your siblings growing fond of her and looking after her and escorting her home tonight.” She smiled and curtsied. Elizabeth smiled apologetically and said, “I didn't mean for you to have gone through the rain to take me home though. I wouldn't have let you come with me if I had known. But I really do appreciate you coming out here for me.”

Her grandmother smiled as she watched the two together. They seemed to make the other happy and it was nice to see them together. She looked up as the young man told her about the activities in the Bennett family. “I bet your sister Fanny isn’t to excited about socializing. If I remember right, she was quite the shy one wasn't she?” She laughed softly, remembering the girl when she was a few years younger. “And I wish your older brother a wonderful wedding and wife. A spring wedding is sure to make a wonderful celebration and bless their marriage. I'm sure Elizabeth is excited too, right dear?” Her grandmother said. Meanwhile Elizabeth was shocked to hear the Will was getting married, or at least engaged. It was surprising for her to say the least but the news was a little disheartening but she didn't let that show. Why did she feel sad about it though?

“Fitzwilliam is engaged? But I spent most of the night with him as he helped me meet you and your siblings… wait... did I drag him away from his fiancé all night by accident?!” She asked coming to her own conclusion and almost panicking at the thought. Most women in high class society were almost always at their fiancé or husband's side. Wouldn't it look bad if another woman followed someone's fiancé such as she did like she did earlier that night? Wouldn't it also look bad on his part as well? “I-I didn't mean to keep him up like that if I would've known…” Elizabeth stammered apologetically, flustered as she fiddled with her fingers.

  • (Sorry I'm on mobile)

"I can understand my parents are still trying to get Fanny to dance with someone." Being unsocial could make social gatherings stressful. Laughing to himself he could see her talking to the servants instead and he was sure some of the servants would have been happy to dance with her too if she had wanted to. "I will not melt in the rain thank you for the concern all the same." He chuckled softly still thinking she was being too apologetic since he did not mind at all. He was actually rather glad to spend the time with her and see her grandmother again.

His blue eyes twinkled talking off his brother and sister since he loved talking about them. "Yes my sister has not had an easy time talking. I hope my brother the same." He said politely although he didn't sound convinced of his brother's coming happiness since him and his fiancé absolutely hated each other and almost couldn't be in the same room together anymore. Catching her surprise he blinked realizing he had just made a blunder and told her something she should have heard from Fitzwilliam instead of secondhand. Of course he had figured his brother would tell Elizabeth at some point tonight.

Quickly shaking his head he put a hand on her shoulder hoping to calm her flustered state. "No no please don't fret. His fiancé has been ill so she could not attend. My brother was free for the evening I assure you did nothing wrong." He tried to assure her. Blinking he turned scarlet looking down at his hand on her shoulder. Withdrawing it he laughed nervously. Clearly he had made himself flustered a little too. He was slightly aware of how she seemed a bit disappointed to hear that Will was engaged. That thought hurt a bit but, he pushed it from his mind instead offering a reassuring smile. "Will sought out your company and enjoyed your company. Do not regret spending time with him."

  • "Again, I know you won't melt in the rain but you don't deserve to be rained on either Edward," Elizabeth pouted looking up at him. It didn't seem right to her to make someone go out of their way for her. Not to mention, she wasn't raised like most high class kids were. Like most of the people, she lived in quiet respect for the higher class while also accepting the life she was born into as the lower class. She was used to being patient and kind hearted to everyone, especially as a child. To an upper class citizen, she always tried to seem as docile as possible in case they were picky. But now? Now she had to act important and sophisticated even though she did less as an upper class lady than she did as a baker.

Though she had forgotten her thoughts as she noticed the males eyes sparkling at the mention of his family. As much as he seemed to cherish his siblings, the sound of his voice at the wish of the happy marriage didn't sound so cheery. Elizabeth wanted to ask about it but quickly decided against it, not trying to pry or gossip about something that shouldn't have been any of her business when she's only known him for a single night. If Will ever considered talking to her about such a thing, she will listen then but for now, instead, she'll keep quiet and not mention anything for now.

She looked up as she felt a warm hand on her shoulder to calm her down. She felt a huge relief as he said that she didn't do anything wrong. "Thank you Edward... I really didn't want him to get in trouble because of me or cause anything by it..." Elizabeth murmured just a moment before the male turned a bright red. She didn't really understand why but she couldn't help but laugh a little at his reaction. "Thanks for cheering me up, Edward. I really appreciate it." Meanwhile her grandmother watched to the two with a small smile. Moments later a servant came back with a coat for Edward. "It may be a little big but you should stay dry until you get back, sir." The servant said handing it to him

  • ★ ★ ★ edward bennett

Edward sighed briefly not raising any objections to her, since it seemed to do no good. She may have felt she shouldn't be fussed over but, being raised to be a proper gentleman he was taught to be helpful and polite, especially to women and ladies. He didn't see helping her as a bother at all nor cared that he had to put up with rain to do it. "We will agree to disagree." He decided tapping his hat slightly trying to put a peaceful resolution to the matter.

When she laughed he relaxed his cheeks lightening a bit which he was glad for. Yes he had just embarrassed himself a bit but, he couldn't help but, smile now that she was happy again. Nodding to the servant he took the coat gratefully. "I will not notice the difference if it is. Thank you so much. I look forward to seeing you both tomorrow. I hope you have a good rest of your evening." Bowing to both of them he smiled softly before putting his hat back on. "Good night ladies." Draping the jacket over he gave them one last look.

Stepping outside he was hit by the winds which raged outside now. Blinking his eyes he hurried away where the horse and carriage were waiting.

  • “Agreed.” Elizabeth said with a small victorious grin. “Sorry Mister Bennett…. Elizabeth is what one would call stubbornly humble.” Her grandmother laughed softly as she watched the two. The younger female had always been the one to deny the most expensive things that her grandmother bought her if it could've been avoided. She wasn't trying to make her feel bad but she was a simple girl. She's just happy to have been given a roof over her head, something to eat, and to have something to keep her mind busy instead of doing nothing. That was all she really needed or wanted, not the fancy dresses, the giant dinners she couldn't even finish, and the annoying heels.

The servant bowed as he took the coat from him. “Farewell, Edward. I do hope to see you not ‘melted’ tomorrow. Tell Lydia, that is if she's still up, that she will know about the tailor of my dress tomorrow as well.” Elizabeth said with a playful smile as she curtsied and so did her grandmother. “Have a safe trip, mister Bennett.” As he left they waved him off from the door.

  • ★ ★ ★ edward bennett

He smiled through the rain giving a jovial wave to Elizabeth before he and his small company disappeared into the pitch black night. Even though it was far from a pleasant journey home he still had a faint smile the entire way through. Funny how much happier he was now having met Elizabeth. By, the end of the journey he was soaking wet with his hair plastered to his forehead. Dismounting in front he handed the horse over and made his trek inside. Once inside he gave the lantern and hat to the servant holding the door. Calling on an older woman he asked her to make sure the coat was cleaned and looked nice by tomorrow. The woman did not ask why merely smiling as she went.

Trudging up the stairs he had lost all of his energy and wished only to see his bed and sheets. He stopped seeing candlelight spilling out from under Lydia's door. Knocking he said a brief good night and that Elizabeth had promise to bring details of her tailor. He could hear her excited squeal from the other side of the door. Heaving a loud yawn he moved to his own room closing the door softly behind as not to disturb anyone who was no sleeping. He noticed Will's room was not silent and still lit up. Not bothering to investigate he went to his bedroom.

  • Elizabeth smiled as he gave wave back even through the horrid downpour of rain. After he was completely out of sight, she and her grandmother closed the door. “I'm very proud of your progress tonight, Elizabeth. You made friends and a good impression on the Bennetts. Have a good night, Dear.” Her grandmother praised with proud smile looking at her before heading up to her room with a small wave goodbye leaving her alone.

Elizabeth felt pride swell up within her at the praise. She was glad she helped out and made her proud of her success. She thought about Edward and Will. Will helped her out a lot in the form of socializing and she formed a strong bond with him and Edward tonight. She felt a smile form on her face as she thought about the two brothers. They were both sweet and good to her tonight and Edward seemed to have quickly grown onto her. They both helped her in both socializing and dancing.

She smiled as she headed to her room, thinking of the siblings as she changed into her nightgown and prepared for bed.

The Bennett house was abuzz with activity. It was a combination of both cleaning up from the previous night and getting ready for the Ermengarde's arrival. The sisters were up early all for their own reasons. Fanny was trying to get some quiet time before more people came to visit, no one had seen her since breakfast. Lydia had to be woken up early to take her wild blonde ringlets into a manageable updo. Eleanor was talking quietly with servants managing who went where.

Brandon had gone off hunting in the near by woods. Edward was the only one not up since he had been kept up so late last night. Humming Will strolled the ground inspecting the gardens delaying his visit to his dead sweet fiancé who he had promised to visit soon. It wasn't that he just hated her he knew neither one of them really wanted to see each other. Bending down to look at a lily he smiled excited for Elizabeth to have a chance to see the gardens he and his mother worked tirelessly to cultivate. He knew he had to keep himself tempered around Elizabeth not wanting to give Edward his time with her. So, he resolved not impose. Walking back inside he looked at the grandfather clock. It was almost time for their guests to be arriving.

  • Elizabeth had been up for a while, preparing to go back to the manor later that day. Normally she was up around the same time as the servants were and often tried to help them out before her grandmother awoken from her sleep. It helped her keep a low profile of chatting it up with the servants and let her do some chores instead of letting the servants do it all. After her grandmother woke up, she started getting ready for the day, from picking out a good dress to combing her hair into a neat wavy ponytail. She was excited to see the Bennett siblings again.

Soon her and her grandmother were both ready and leaving for the Bennett estate. On the way there, she and her grandmother chatted about the dress from last night so she could tell Lydia about it once they got the chance to see each other. She wanted to keep her promise to the sister. She thought back to Will and Edward, excited to see the two brothers again. She was happy at the thought of hanging out with them like the night before.

Soon the carriage arrived at the estate and Elizabeth climbed out first with the help of a servant and her grandmother did the same. They made their way to the front door and Elizabeth knocked on the door with a patient smile.

  • ★ ★ ★ edward bennett

Although he was later getting up then his siblings Edward still did get up in time to get up and make himself presentable before they arrived at their home. He was extremely tired and a little out of his wits. He didn't feel ill yet and hoped that wouldn't change. Hurrying down the stairs he almost managed to trip down the last two steps stumbling a little as he got down.

Rubbing the back of his neck he smiled bashfully as Lydia was giggling at him. She sat him down in the parlor and the two chatted the morning away. She pressed him for his feels on Elizabeth. He agreed he had grown fond of her already and would not admit how fond of her he really was. Smiling softly when the servant came in announcing the Ermengarde's carriage. Standing up the two siblings walked into the front to greet them. Their parents stood beside them. Edward bowed smiling brightly. His other siblings all filed in Will being last at of all. Lord Bennett stepped forward smiling politely. "Welcome." He said smiling.

    "Speech."

  • Elizabeth smiled as she and her grandmother were invited inside. They both curtsied and her grandmother was first to speak up. "My, Lord Bennett and Lady Bennett! I haven't seen you two in ages. You haven't aged a bit either." Her grandmother spoke with a smile looking at the couple before looking at the siblings. "But your children had grown up beautifully. I appreciate you inviting my granddaughter and I over for tea." Elizabeth nodded in agreement with the last part. "So do I. I had such a wonderful time last night and it's good to see you again." Elizabeth said with a smile. She looked over toward Edward and smiled at him as she tried to see if he was sick. He did seem a little out of it and tired but he didn't seem sick or deathly looking so that was something to be grateful for. "I'm so glad you had a safe trip back home, Edward. It was raining so hard last night I was worried you'd get sick..." She said with a soft smile as she looked at him.

"Elizabeth and Edward told me all about last night and I'm delighted that she made some new acquaintances with your family, Lord Bennett. Your party really helped my Elizabeth come out of her shell last night." Her grandmother said causing her to blush a little.

  • ★ ★ ★ edward bennett

His parents smiled graciously, the Lord and Lady bowing and curtsying to their guests. The Bennett children did the same as they came in. "You are much too kind Mrs. Ermengrade time has not changed your good temper." His mother said with a soft smile nodding to the servants standing nearby to go and start making the tea. Nodding a scurrying off Lord Bennett nodded to both women, he had friendly look to him especially when he smiled. "I am very pleased to hear you enjoyed the party." Nodding to his children he beamed proudly as they all stood although Lydia had already started whispering excitedly to Fanny who only gave small nods in response. "Your concern is appreciated, I promise I am healthy as I can hope to be." He assured with a smile returning her gaze while all three of his sisters started to quietly talk among themselves watching the two. "It is always good to hear. I think having balls and such really help children get acclimated before the Social Season starts." Lord Bennett chuckled before his wife clapped her hands together releasing her husband's arm. "I think we should move this discussion into the sitting room. The tea will be ready soon." Without waiting for any objections or anyone agreeing she floated away walking to their sitting area.

Lord Bennett shook his head very briefly before following her into the sitting area. Lydia and Eleanor followed on their father's heels wasting no time. Lydia did offer a welcoming smile to Elizabeth and her grandmother as she passed them. Brandon waited a few moments clearly trying to coax Fanny into following. She clutched on to his arm silently slinking past. Edward looked at his brother and his brother looked back at him. Him and Will seemed to silently deliberating something. "Please ladies first." Edward insisted stepping back signalling for them to go first.

Remaining quiet he bowed along with the rest of his siblings when the Ermengarde's arrived. Flashing a knowing smile at Elizabeth he was glad to see her doing so well even this morning. Other then the brief smile he stayed silent not wanting to get in the way of his parents or Edward. He could hear Lydia whispering beside him about how precious of a couple Edward and Elizabeth would make. When Lydia turned and whispered the question in his ear he managed to nod and offer a simple smile. Edward did seem to be getting along well with her. Will stayed out of the matters. Watching his mother march off on to the sitting room he gave shake of his head like his father. Staying back he did not leave with the rest of his siblings thinking it best to let their guests go first and find good seating. Edward and him briefly looked at one another and Will stepped forward to Elizabeth's grandmother. "Will you allow me to help you there? There are several low steps leading to it." He offered politely with his usual charm.

    "Speech."

  • Elizabeth smiled as he responded to her worries head on though she felt a little flustered as she noticed the sisters silently chatting to themselves at the sight of them. Her grandmother smiled and glanced at Elizabeth with a laugh. "This is her first Social Season and she's been worrying and fretting about it ever since she heard about it, poor dear." Her grandmother said, putting a hand on her shoulder with a soft smile though her granddaughter seemed slightly embarrassed as she spoke. Elizabeth almost felt saved by the Lady's clap as she made the suggestion to head onto the sitting room. Elizabeth's grandmother nodded and they followed after the family.

Elizabeth smiled back happily at Lydia as a welcoming smile was thrown her way and smiled a bit softer at Fanny and Brandon. She looked up at Edward and Will as they seemed to be having a discussion with just eye contact. Elizabeth curtsied to both of them and so did her grandmother. "Your parents truly raised a true gentleman out of you both." The widow said with a polite smile to them both as Elizabeth entered the sitting area with the rest of the family and waited for her grandmother, Will and Edward to enter the room before she sat down.

Fitzwilliam smiled softly as he walked along beside her grandmother pointing out the hidden steps along the way. "You are much too kind." He laughed softly appreciating her compliment. Of course if their mother had heard it she would have shed a tear of joy. Holding open the door of the sitting room there were several couches and chairs out to sit on in the room. The Lady was standing next to Lydia trying to fix a hair that had fallen out of place the rest of the family had settled themselves. It was a quiet peaceful moment one that Fitzwilliam often tried to remember and cherish. One thing both him and Edward shared was a love their family. Standing back he waited until the woman had settled herself before going to sit near his siblings who had all gathered on a set of floral sofas and matching chairs.

Looking up at Elizabeth he motioned to the vacant spot next to Fanny. Fanny glanced up at her brother and scooted over so if Elizabeth did sit down there she could have more room. Fanny offered a nervous smile before looking back down at her hands. "Come sit down I promise Fanny does not bite. Maybe once when she was five but, not since I promise." The young man teased his sister putting a hand on her shoulder to show he meant no harm by it.

    "Speech."

Edward followed behind his brother and Mrs. Ermengarde humming along as he went. Appearing a few paces behind his brother he strolled into the sitting room and seemed perfectly content at the moment. When he got there Lydia was briskly walking away from her mother tugging a piece of hair out that their mother had stuffed behind her ear. Lydia sat down in one of the arm chairs beside her siblings. When Will invited Elizabeth over to sit beside Fanny Lydia let out an uncontrollable giggle. "I still have a scar on my arm from it." She smiled although Fanny seemed to shrink back into the chair a little bit.

Edward blinked and walked over towards his sister. "If she should avoid I think it should be me. Remember when I accidentally set mother's priceless rug on fire because I wanted to sit on it instead of the floor by the fire. I am really a walking accident." The diversion worked and his siblings shared a good laugh before quieting down as their mother spoke. "Oh don't talk so much of your mistakes. Look forward to all that is to come. I know that the Social Season may be scary to think about but, it will be a good experience." She assured her blue eyes sparkling in the morning light that was cast from the window. Edward let out a sigh of relief standing and leaning against the back of the couch his sisters were sitting on.

  • Her grandma smiled up at Will as they made it down the stairs and thanked him for the kind gesture before choosing a seat next to the parents. Elizabeth smiled as Will offered her a seat next to Fanny, who didn't seem to mind the company much. "Thank you, Fitzwilliam, Thank you Fanny." She said with a thoughtful smile as she headed over and sat on the couch. She laughed a little at Will's teasing remark and gave Fanny a small grin to not seem as though she was being rude. "Really? I guess I can be a little glad that I never had a sibling." Elizabeth said with a small playful tone to show she wasn't being serious about it. She looked up as Edward spoke up and laughed a little. "Even though you tried to almost to burn your house down, I won't avoid anyone here I assure you."

"But I've also done my fair share of mischief as well, when I was younger I tried to sneak two piglets that were lost into my house and successfully hid the little things for two days." She laughed softly, muffling her laugh with a hand over her mouth. Calming down a little and listening to Lady Bennett's words appreciatively, she nodded. "I know... It's just a bit difficult to get in a routine of things here. Normally the community dances were either at the church or the tavern and most of the men, and some women, were drunk in both." She laughed a little thinking back to the old town she lived in. "Meanwhile I can't get used high heels and doing a lot less activity, especially outside my lessons."

Her grandmother smiled and said, "Don't worry, Elizabeth. You'll get used to it soon... Besides you have these young gentlemen and ladies to help you out. And you can be able to help them if they need it too."

  • *:・゚✦ FITZWILLIAM BENNETT

The Lady laughed softly. "There are a number of hobbies you can take up to fill your time." She suggested tapping her finger on her chin looking bwteeen her children. "Fanny reads and takes walks. Eleanor has taken to needlework well. Brandon has taken up hunting. Lydia and Edward ride daily. And my sweet Fitzwilliam tends the gardens with me." She smiled looking at Will who cleared his throat slightly. He did not share the fact he enjoyed gardening with many people. Mostly, because it was never really something people talked about often.

Still he nodded to his mother looking down at Elizabeth. "I'll have to show you the garden while you are here. It is quite beautiful, unfortunately it won't be long before frost gets it." The young man seemed to come alive talking about the garden. Lord Bennett did shake his head in disapproval since he saw his son's gardening as unbecoming of a young gentleman. Will's blue eyes dampened a tiny bit, their father would much rather him ride or hunt like his brothers. Lydia perked up looking at him for a moment then at Edward.

    "Speech."

    ★ ★ ★ edward bennett

Giving a quiet chuckle he looked over at Elizabeth. "It is good to hear it would be quite sad if you decided you did not want any part of us." Edward nodded in agreement with his mother as she brought up all the things the Bennett children did to fill their time. They all kept busy by practicing and dabbling in different areas. When the garden was brought he saw almost the instant change in the Lord's face. Talking about Will tending the gardens was a sore topic too be sure.

Clearing his throat he nodded to the young lady. Lydia was looking between the two brothers looking as if she had been working out a scheme. "Or Edward could show the stables. He is very proud of his riding horses." She countered Will's earlier offer. If Ned didn't know any better he would think his sisters were meddling. Blinking he did give a slight smile although seemed a bit uncomfortable with the topic of conversation swinging fully to him. "There will be time for it all. I would very much enjoy your company to the stables but, we do not to overload one day. We can save some wonders for other days." Edward said happily of course he wouldn't mind spending time with Elizabeth but, he also didn't want to overwhelm her. He shot a look at Lydia who sighed dramatically.

The door to the sitting room opened and two servants came in with trays of teapots and teacups and another with scones and biscuits and jams to go with them. Lady Bennet brightened up lightly tapping her husband's arm. "Oh wipe that scowl off. Have some tea and a biscuit." She offered with Eleanor rising to pour the tea for everyone.

  • Elizabeth smiled at Edward as he spoke up before listening to what the siblings took interests in. Nonetheless, She was surprised to hear about the oldest sons interests. Gardening? He didn't seem like the type to garden but she thought it was a little... cute. She meant it as a compliment, as she did the same at her old home at the bakery. She noticed the obvious disapproval from the Lord and quickly hide anything that would come off as a rude emotion. Most of the farms were ran by men, where everyone gets their food and farming was almost the same gardening, though admittedly gardens were much prettier. Who was he to be so judgmental? She never let her dismay so and kept a neutral face as she acted like she didn't notice the fathers look.

She looked up as she was offered two different activities. Two activities she'd love to do with them both. She honestly didn't want to choose between to two. On one hand she was excited to see the garden that he and his mother worked at and on the other hand she was excited to see the horses and to get to pet them. Luckily she was saved by the tea being brought in for the family and their guests. She brightened herself up a little before she made a clear decision. She didn't want to let either of the brothers down or hurt their feelings by not choosing their offer. But she had to make a decision.

"How about I visit the garden first and then the stables? I want to see both... And I did have a small garden of my own back at my old house so I want to start there first. Then I'd really like to see the horses if I could." She asked with a hopeful smile looking between the two brothers. "I really want to spend time with everyone here if I could." Elizabeth added as Eleanor poured the tea.
