(Actually, he could. Certain memories of Paige's can be told from Cobalt's perspective. Telling his side of events.)

(sure! Let's see what I can kick up...)
The winter snowfalls were unforgiving as the Riolu trudged through the tall grass; the pained cries of his stomach grumbled against his lithe frame, and his eyes strained to differentiate the white snow from everything else. He was at his very limit; he had starved for nearly four days and was about ready to collapse and give in... But he still held a shard of hope inside of him, a primal stubbornness that told him to press on for survival...
There was a demented view the world took when it came to survival: the strongest always won in the end. It was a sad fact most Pokémon lived and died by, and the Riolu was nowhere near the strongest Pokémon there was. The collection of fresh bruises and scars littering his body was evident enough of how other Pokémon saw the Riolu; an ugly slash mark on his chest bit at him as blood refused to stop dripping from him; he couldn't remember what the Pokémon was, but he remembered how angry it was when he accidentally trespassed into its territory... He could still see the trail of red he painted as he struggled to trudge in the deep snow...
He didn't remember when he saw the building, but he remembered what he felt as he crawled the last few steps to the odd building: numb, bitter pain. His stomach once more roared inside him, and his tiny muscles screamed in numb agony as he tried to feel them... Already the snow was beginning to bury him and the reddening bed of crimson he was inadvertently making, as if the world was trying to forget about him...
The last he ever saw with his fading ice-blue eyes was a pair of delicate hands reaching out to him...
-
A little blonde girl, all decked up in a fluffy pink jacket and purple mittens, gasped in horror at the sight of a bleeding Riolu. Forget going out into the snow to play; This got her attention. And changed her snow-day plans. The child knelt down and picked up the small pup. When held against her, they appeared the same size. "I gotta go!" she shouted back into the house, before running off.
The Pokemon Center couldn't be far...
-
All the Riolu could feel was the fluff of mittens and the smooth material of a winter coat as he was rushed along the snow-trodden paths by the little girl. What he saw were mere blurs to his pain-addled vision, and the growing numbness from his limbs was growing more and more prominent by the seconds... Still, Arceus truly existed for salvation to come for the pup, and perhaps just in time too...
-
There were people who glanced over when the little girl came running into Lilycove. Who saw her clinging onto the Riolu and silently crying. She was scared; Scared she wouldn't get to the Pokemon Center in time. Finally, when she couldn't help it, the girl called out for help. Help getting her to the Center. Help saving the Riolu.
-
The Riolu didn't remember when he blacked out, but as consciousness slowly came back to the Emanation Pokémon, the first thing he realized was that he wasn't dead. Secondly, his senses bit at him with a faint mass of aura nearby him, clearly not Pokémon if he were to guess... The ground he was laying on was comfortably soft, and the gentle light above wasn't harsh enough to make him turn his head...
Slowly, his eyes opened up, revealing a gentle chestnut ceiling and walls surrounding him, along with the usual amenities that he would normally see while snooping around the humans' buildings. He didn't recognise the place, but he knew whoever, or whatever found him had helped him.
-
"He's gonna be okay, right?"
The child practically begged the Nurse Joy. The coat now sported a blood stain here and there. The Riolu must've bled on her as they ran. No matter; The sight could still make a person shiver. She tried to push her way into the other room. Into the place they were keeping the tiny cub. "He isn't gonna die?!"
-
As the Riolu laid there, he could hear the muffled talk of the little girl that rescued him and the Nurse Joy there. He refused to stay idle as he struggled against his pain to get up, his musckes protesting as he finally got to a proper sitting position.
-
It took lots of convincing, crying, and screaming, but soon, the girl was allowed to pass. As long as a Chansey accompanied her. The little child and the Pokemon entered the room. No sooner than they did, she raced towards the table.
-
Inevitably, two pairs of eyes met that fateful day: the icy blue of the Riolu's, and the faded marine blue of the little girl's. To the tiny pup, he was curious; was she the very being that had saved him from a frozen death? The stains of dried blood on the girl told him that she was indeed his savior, and for a moment, the Riolu lost himself staring at the girl...
-
"Everything's okay. You're okay."
The little girl mumbled this while she leaned in, staring into the Riolu's eyes. She sounded more like she was reassuring herself. The worst looked like it was over. The little Pokemon hadn't died on her.
-
The Riolu tilted his head as the girl spoke to him. He was perfectly fine; he was likely doing better emotionally than the little girl in front of him. But it was soothing to him that there was someone who seemed to care; he had enough of being alone...
-
The little girl reached out to hug the Riolu. Arms quivering in fear; Fear she might hurt him somehow. That she might ruin the progress he made...
(Transition to her waking up with some ominous parting sign?)
-
The Riolu was apprehensive about hugging the girl as her arms delicately wrapped around him, nervously hugging back...
Maybe it was a trick of the light, or maybe something was fooling the eyes, but for a brief moment... The Riolu seemed deathly pale...
-
And just as panic struck both child and sleeping girl...
A buzzing noise brought Paige back to the waking world. She mumbled incoherently while reaching for the alarm clock or phone or whatever in Arceus's name was making that noise. Her 'search' was a bit impeded by the fact her brain, while still drowsy, wouldn't let her forget her dream just yet.
She just relived one of many terrifying experiences. Being a helpless little kid holding someone's life in their hands.
-
Just off to the side was none other than Cobalt himself as he knelt by Paige's bed, staring with his deep, icy-blue eyes as his paw was firmly placed on her shoulder. From the odd behavior she was exhibiting during the night (since Cobalt tended to come out early in the morning) it was clear she was suffering some sort of nightmare. The fluctuation in her Aura's activity was also an indication, something that didn't escape the Lucario...
-
Paige came dangerously close to rolling out of bed due to fright when she felt a hand on her shoulder. And then she felt dumb when she was awake enough to realize it was Cobalt. "Mm...Morning, bud. D-Did I knock you off the table?" With all her rummaging and the fact she might've flailed around in her sleep, that wasn't a far-off possibility. "I'm sorry if I did that."
"Also," she winced at the buzzing, "What IS that?!"
(She's getting a call. Inviting her to an event that leads her to the young trainer and the legendary problem)
-
Cobalt looked around since he heard the annoying buzz as well, thought it was more bearable since he wasnt as sleepy as his Trainer. He didnt take much effort to hear where it came from: the lone cellphone sitting at her bedside...
-
With enough effort, Paige caught her cellphone. A little more successful fumbling and seconds later, she held it up to her ear. "Yello?" the blonde asked, her voice clearing up as she slowly returned to full awakeness.
(The thing is a tournament; Like the new Pokken game mixed with Battle Revolution)
-
"Is this the star Paige?" A voice called from the other side of the phone. "You've been invited to join a special tournament in the Alolan Region."
(Low muse)
