  • Cobalt had a tiny hint of bags under his eyes as he woke up by Chara's side, his arms having been wrapped over his Trainer as he slept. Hedidnt have the greatest of rests thanks to his restless mind, but fatigue was something he was used to... After all, surviving impossible odds required straining past the heavy wear and tear he'd go through.

  • Chara's brows furrowed at the sight of the Lucario's tired expression, "Cobalt, did you sleep at all last night?" she asked worriedly.

  • Cobalt gave a hesitant shake of his head in response, slowly getting up from the soft pillow and embrace with Chara to stretch himself out. He was undoubtedly tired, that much was obvious, but Cobalt pressed on regardless... He couldn't disappoint her, not without a fight...

  • "If you need some more sleep, we can wait until later to head out. We need to be fully rested to start out journey." Chara reminded him, "I'll start prepping. You stay in bed and get some more rest, ok? I can handle getting supplies on my own. We really need you at your best."

  • Cobalt sighed before just getting up and off the bed, mindful not to accidentally press his weight on Chara as he slipped off onto the floor and made a little beeline for his Pokéball.

With a little click and a beam of red, the Lucario vanished, deciding to rest inside since it was both something he was used to and convenient for her in case she needed him...

  • Chara smiled at Cobalt's decision. She knew he was doing it for her convenience, and she was touched that he cared so much.

Quickly getting dressed, she secured the PokeBall to her belt before heading into town for supplies. This wasn't her first time going off on a journey, and she knew it was best to come prepared, she already had a list of things she needed to pick up in her mind.

  • (that one awkward moment when you have more Full Restores than every other medicinal item combined...)

The sun hung high over Nuvema Town as Chara's shopping trip went along; Cobalt, having been fully rested, came out the moment he felt rested and raring to go, appearing halfway through her shopping trip to help with the process (and occasionally carry some things like the pack mule he is). Soon, everything was gathered and prepared, and both were ready to embark on a new adventure!

... As soon as they find a boat to Kalos in Castelia City...

  • Walking the docks of Unova, Chara talked to several boat captains, trying to find one going to Kalos.

After about an hour and a half of talking to several people, and looking around, she finally found one more than willing to take her and Cobalt along for the ride.

She bought a disguise earlier as she had been getting her supplies, not wanting to be easily recognized so their journey could still be rather secret location wise.

  • Cobalt had to stay inside his Pokéball as Chara finally got a ride to Kalos. Considering his odd eye-color, it made sense that he couldn't come out, but it meant that he couldn't come out until they reached Kalos...

    Which was a three-day trip.

  • Boarding the boat with her belongings and supplies, Chara went to her cabin for the next few days. Once alone in the room, however, Chara took out the PokeBall, letting Cobalt out, "Stretch your legs while you have the chance."

  • Cobalt came out in a small show of light at Char's behest, thankful for the chance to walk and stretch himself in the meantime. It sucked that he couldn't actually go outside to take in the fresh winds and sea-stained air during their travels.

Then again, he always had Chara...

  • Chara smiled as Cobalt pecked her cheek, giggling a little as she took his paw in her hand, "Cute. You know, I'm sure you could roam around on deck for a while if you'd like. I don't think that captain would mind."

  • Cobalt felt a bit unsure of what Chara had to say. Sure, that would've been nice to come up and take in the fresh winds, but his eyes were a dead giveaway to anyone who saw. He was the only Lucario with blue eyes in existence, and if he was caught, Chara's disguise was completely blown...

  • Chara saw his concerned look and knew what he was worried about. Tapping her chin for a second in thought, she went to her bag and dug through it, looking for something specific, "Aha!" she exclaimed as she pulled out a pair of black sunglasses.

"Here, try these." she said, handing them to Cobalt.

  • Cobalt curiously took the pair of shades from Chara with a perplexed expression, turning it over in his paws as he wondered. Cobalt was never one to dress up unlike some other Pokémon; he always saw the notion of wearing something strange given how he already had fur. Still, he decided to put them on anyways, greeted with a view of the world literally tinted in black. Sure, it obscured his eyes with its polarized sheen, but the Lucario had some difficulty given how his anatomy didn't work too well with the eyewear staying on his face... So the view of Cobalt constantly having to keep his glasses from sliding down to his muzzle was more than entertaining.

  • Chara couldn't help but to giggle at the sight of Cobalt wearing the sunglasses, "Well, no one will recognize you, at least. It gets the job done. Still wanna walk around?"

  • Cobalt smiled brilliantly as he nodded, happy to come alongside his Trainer and crush outside in the open sea. He was getting tired of staying inside his Pokéball, and while he would have to spend more time in there until landfall, at least he could have times like those.

  • Opening the door to their cabin, Chara led the way through the hall and up the stairs to the deck. Arms spread wide, she smiled, "Welcome to the voyage. Just look at that view!"
