"We're dying with every step we take, We're dying with every breath we make"

    ____________________________________________________________

Jack sat on his roof, staring at the stars and lost inside his mind.

A tender time for him, considering he's lost everything but himself.

Jack felt his stomach do flips as he thought about himself not being able to be brave enough to say no.

He thought about what he had promised,

"I'll always stick by your side, never leaving for anyone else."

He felt like a complete failure and that's what hit him the hardest.

It felt like a brick to the face at break-neck speed.

He needed comfort, but being alone wasn't helping.

He was a weak being, one that couldn't hurt a fly.

Jack was the cowardly lion in a sense.

His fear disabled him so badly that now he lost a close loved one to such stupidity.

The blue-eyed man felt his chest fill with the desire to scream.

It couldn't be helped, he exhaled his screams into the cold air.

Covering his face with his hands he sobbed, grabbing a fist-full of green hair.

Everything was black, maybe he could keep it that way...

The thought was so dark that it jolted himself out of his misery.

He curled his legs into his face, using his arms to keep them in place.

  • (Sorry, I was called to work and just got home ^^'

So, They are with one another right now?

Sorry, The post was hard to decipher..

I tried to understand it but couldn't exactly get an idea)

  • (Should've clarified, I apologize! I was just setting the story up, getting a picture of where Jack was at the moment and see where we can progress from there. Mark can be doing whatever you like at this moment whether it be spotting Jack or doing his own thing idk)

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

(I just took this from my other account, don't mind me

    It's also sorta late..so apologies)

Mark's eyes raised towards the roof after hearing some sort of yelling fit, not even the least bit amused from it. Dark hair covering one side of his face, giving the already starting features something to add. A small dagger was being held in his left hand, before putting it away into a pocket of dark colored geans. Trying to look a little more sincere and not as harmful? As he could put it. "Quit yelling into the sky...it won't help you.."Finally a gravely booming voice would've broke everyone from their sorrors, standing on the ground below the roof. Not breaking the gaze focused on the green hair male, wanting to see just what he would do.

"Scared I might die of uncertainty, fear might be the death of me."

Jack jumped when he heard the deep voice, his head swiveled, then he looked down.

"Thanks for the support, stranger..." he tried to be tough but it faltered. There were still dried tears, stained to his face.

He didn't have the strength to speak up in such a manner. He cleaned up his rowdy hair, "Why the hell are you even paying attention to me?"

    He said quietly.

The green haired man didn't realize what he had stored inside him, a beast of sorts.

It wanted control but all Jack had to do was submit...submit to his subconscious desires of torture and blood.

Jack stood up, his toes at the edge. He wasn't going to jump but it felt good to be doing something dangerous.

(Sorry this post is a little late, I'm getting used to this site again...)

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

"Because, I rather not see anymore devastation today"The male stared up towards the green haired boy who was making quite a drastic amount of decisions, he was always so good with seeming to be the most pacifist of people. "Why the hell are you on a roof?" Mark was curious on what had gone in, but he wasn't one to be so sentimental especially to a sudden person who earned his usual harsh gaze. He would try diffusing the situation if there were any thoughts, even if they were practically shouting to one another. Having this one singular interaction had to say something.

(Understandable, I took practically a year away from this site)

"You're a victim of your symptoms"

    _________________________________________________

Jack sighed, "It's none of your business," he sat on the edge, "what's your name anyways?" if he was going to be conversing with the gentle soul he might as well get his name. The wind chilled his arms, maybe he should invite the man inside? He smacked himself self-consciously, he couldn't afford any relationships right now. Even if was just a friendly one.

The lights shadowed his pale face in such a way that it was almost frightening, like a weak cub like him could possibly have something more than just kindness in his soul.

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

"Sir, It is my business if you're thinking of anything drastic"

Staring up to the best of his ability that wouldn't involve bending his neck at some odd angle. Hearing the question about that he was known for..or rather the simple term of a name, "You tell me your name, and I'll say mine"Curious on why they suddenly went right to a first name basis but if it was required He'd give a simple answer. The shadows being cast from the house were making Mark look more grim then how he was acting, but ignoring that fact..He was trying to be a gentleman of some sort.

"Not even sure if I have a soul"

    ___________________________________________________________

Jack grunted, "I'm not thinking of anything...I'm Jack." he pulled a fake smile.

He couldn't help but feel the urge to just run down there and hug the random man, just because it's what he needed.

Jack resisted, kicking his legs against the roof. He was probably disturbing his neighbors but it didn't really matter.

"You don't even know the situation and you're considering that I'm up here for something as drastic as suicide...."

Jack shook his head, "Don't make such silly assumptions."

He thought for a minute then shrugged off the idea of inviting the man into his apartment for some tea.

After all, it was around midnight.

Jack wasn't sure why the man decided to stick around it was weird in a way, why did this stranger care about some cry baby on the roof

"Kind of depressing that you're still here talking to me...why don't you move along?"

There was...an odd feeling that reached out for this man and Jack just barely noticed it in the silence, It felt like he had a connection to this man, something deep inside. Maybe it was just his primal urges wanting to be social, Jack wasn't a genius so he couldn't be sure.

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

"You may call me Mark"It felt weird to not introduce himself and shake the hand of the man whom he was taking time to speak to, Yea thinking of suicide was always some option within his head even if it seemed unlikely. Fixing the collar of a sweater that currently was covering his upper half from view appearing as a thicker sweater that seemed a bit to big. "I've seen it happen Jack, People tend to not show their true intentions during the first meet"Although Mark didn't mean to exactly speak, but it sounded like he was hitting the fact that neither really knew what was the others intentions. Most would've thought it was stupid to talk to some unknown man passing by on the street no matter what was wrong, but once again a foul move could be credited to this green haired man. "I'd feel terrible to ever see you on the news after this."Ok, this conversation was getting a little unsettling..They'd only just met so why was he so focused on making sure Jack stayed put or got down from such a height.? "I haven't gotten any better places to be"Seeming to shrug at the end of his statement as if going over what had been said in such a short period of time.

"The Lost souls that were cheated"

    __________________________________

He looked down, "Yeah...I wouldn't like that either..."

Silence ensued then Jack made his decision, "You wanna come inside for a cup of tea or coffee? It's cold out here..."

The skinny man made his way back to his balcony, jumping onto it with a dull thud.

He ran to the back window to continue speaking to the man named Mark.

He walked downstairs and opened the door quietly, almost cautiously.

Jack leaned against the frame, trying to brush off the ordeal that had recently happened.

What happened wasn't natural to say the least so if Mark asked such a question then he would probably lie since it's so absurd.

Jack never...believed. In anything really, so when the incident went down he knew he couldn't tell a soul or he would probably be marked off as the nutty neighbor at the end of the road.

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

"It would be nice to get out of this chilly air"Pausing to watch as he jumped down onto the balcony with a small tinge of worry, hearing the smallest sound of a door creaking open. The entire ordeal made Mark grow curious on why Jack had been crying out from off the roof, especially at such a late hour where most wouldn't care. A motive appeared in his mind to merely choose to grab Jack once inside and force him to do anything, but that wasn't going to happen...That thought wouldn't play out after all he did need someone else to interact with. There was no reason to kill or at the very least harm such a delicate looking man, "I would love to know the reasoning of you being up on the roof"The subject didn't seem to hard to discuss, after all there had to be a reasoning for how he acted.

"I can't quite figure it out"

    _________________________

He frowned, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." of course he had to jinx it by thinking about it.

His hand combed his hair and he stepped aside letting Mark in.

He walked into the kitchen, looking for a clean cup.

There were shattered dishes on the floor that Jack had forgotten to clean up.

The kitchen was faintly lit by a florescent light, not very welcoming.

He cleaned up the pieces and put them in the trash.

Then turned on the living room light before returning back to the kettle.

His eyes were underlined with dark circles.

Jack's knuckles were bruised for an unknown reason.

The Irish hadn't been keeping up with himself, hadn't even looked in the mirror since earlier that day.

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

The shattered dishes, the bruised knuckles, and the dark circles were all surprising to see...pausing to think about being told he wouldn't dare believe such a thing. "It looks like you got into a fight or something...."It really wasn't that obvious but Mark could try guessing, looking down to the floor again then towards Jack. "I've heard many things, so I doubt your reasoning is unbelievable"What the hell had possibly have gone on to cause such a mess and leave the poor guy needing time outside with bruises. With the extra lighting, Mark had gotten a better look to the man he'd spoken too..now having the ability to see his complexion. Reaching out to see if he could possibly help in some way, although Mark wouldn't say anything if he was denied.

    "Don't forget about me"

    _______________________________

Jack stopped for a minute, the cup in his hand, full of tea.

    "Fine."

He handed Mark the tea and sat down on the couch.

"I don't really remember everything... even though it was only just today."

He rubbed his temples telling the story as logically as possible.

Jack is still telling the story but it's replaying inside his mind.

"Goddammit Jack, get off your ass for a moment will you?"

    his girlfriend was nagging again.

"I'm sorry..." anger was building up in his stomach as she screamed at him for something or another.

He snapped, his vision went blank. The only bits and pieces he remembers is punching the wall several times after the big fight.

Then, he was throwing dishes on the ground at his girlfriend's feet while laughing and making crude jokes.

The last thing he could see was her leaving with a suitcase out his door with him on the floor looking like he was on drugs, scratching his arm vigorously.

"So...you probably think I'm crazy," he shrugged, "I'm not a bad person...I don't ever want to do anything to anyone but today was a whole different me."

He shook his head, he hadn't even taken a sip of the tea in his lap. Jack leaned back, resting his back against the tan couch.

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

A look of compassion appeared in his dark brown eyes, hearing the situation although the sudden anger part was interesting. "You aren't crazy, Stuff like this has happened to other people before. She sounded a bit harsh to you, I don't mean to offend you...but She probably wasn't the best person...for you"Sipping some of the tea after stating how he thought, Relationships weren't exactly the best thing to ask him. The person he net outside didn't seem ready to have an breakdown with yelling, but eh...you can't judge a book by its cover. "I wouldn't allow you to be so affected personally"Brushing part of his hair feeling it had gotten messy during the transition.

"Now I just sit in silence"

    ___________________________________

"I wish that's how I thought..." he shook his head, leaning forward and running his hands through his hair with a sigh.

The lights flickered when Mark mentioned how he wouldn't let it happen the way it did. Jack snapped his head towards Mark, questioning that particular sentence.

He decided to just ignore it, Jack saw the glint in his eyes for something more than just tea. This didn't exactly repulse Jack considering the fact that he was attracted to men just hadn't ever fallen for one. As he stared into Mark's brown eyes it was almost scary, there was something almost darker inside those pools of chocolate.

Something that Jack didn't want to be getting into so he moved forward with his thoughts, "Hey, it's been nice meeting you, but I need some alone time after all this."

Jack gulped, the honest answer was that he wanted Mark to stay and just talk.

The moon shone through the window onto Jack's body, illuminating it, making it almost glow in a sense.

That had a pull towards the american man, it resounded again through his body.

His fingers twiddled with themselves, twisting and pulling at the reddened joints.

  • Mark Fischbach

"The Trouble Is You Think You Have Time"

Mark nodded half heartedly hearing he wanted time alone, pulling a small paper from his pocket like it had been there always. Scribbling something fown on it before raising it over to Jack, "Here, if you ever need anything...you could always just call this number"The numbers were scribbled as if not wanting to force himself to stay any longer, getting up after setting the now empty cup on the table. Mark did feel something after they began chatting but brushes that feeling off, he wasn't there to form a bond of somesort. A simple conversation had turned into something that had him giving out his number to Jack. "I'd always be up to chat again"These words felt like more of a tease then a friendly gesture, staring into his piercing blue eyes once more. Turning towards the door so as to continue his journey.
