  • //We just made a huge deal out of what I originally thought was going to be a random quirk.//

Rabbit thought about what the tabby she-cat said. "Puffball could refer to a lot more things, not all of them alive. By putting them in the same group as these might make the murder easier on his sanity. Or whatever sanity he has left." He sniffed for himself, and, indeed, there was an unknown cat scent mixed with Scout's scent.

  • "Orrrrr, in some magical land, it could just be a sweet nickname for kits" The blind cat stated, opening her mouth again. "It's getting a lot stronger now" She commented, still walking beside Rabbit.

  • Hazel was quiet as Yellowmoon and Rabbit talked. They had a good point about how Curio always referred to kits as "puffballs". She hadn't thought too much about it until now, but maybe he did call them that to make them seem more like things in his eyes. It was a little disconcerting to say the least. Hearing their last remarks, Hazel laughed along with them. Though her expression soon turned serious again. "I have to agree. I does seem like he's calling them puffball to make them seem less alive. To make them more like an object in his mind."

  • Honey nodded and followed Raven, crouching down nearby to gather some flowers of her own for Fog. She gathered together many of varying colors. Purple, white, yellow... flowers were pawed togethet in a pile beside her. Not wanting to keep the silence, Honey looked over at Raven before mewing, "So, what's your story, hm? Where do you come from?" Honey hadn't been in the group long enough to know the past of every cat, and wanted to distract Raven from the thoughts of Fog.

"Wouldn't you know, I just put a few in my nest the other day! Why don't you two come pick some out?" Whisking her tail around the kits, Violet gently lead them over to where her nest was, sitting down to let them rummage through her nest.

  • (OOC: Here's a reply for Violet :) )

Cedar hung back, uncertain of what to say to Raven and the others. He was willing to help dig the grave if they needed help. Really, he'd do whatever they needed him to do. But, he didn't know them well. The quiet tom was uncertain of how to approach. Finally, he bucked up and padded over to Violet. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked the she-cat.

  • //Ah, sorry! I missed it completely. Here is my changed reply.

Violet looked around for a little bit, wondering where she would get wren feathers in particular when Cedar walked up. "Ah, hello, Cedar!" At his offer, she immediately knew how he could help. "Actually, yes. Storm and Frost would like wren feathers for Fog and Raven is out with Honey getting flowers. Do you think you could possibly find some for them? From anywhere, as long as they're clean and soft?" She gestured to the kits, however she had a pleading look on her face as well.

  • Yellowmoon laughed with them, enjoying the momen, before twitching her ears. Returning to seriousness, she opened her mouth, taking in the scents. "Scout goes that direction. Murderer goes that way" She stated, looking left then forward.

  • Rabbit nodded. "I'll just trust you." His sense of smell was not sub-par, but definitely on the lower end of the par spectrum. "So now we know he didn't kill Scout, or at least not directly. Which shall we follow?"

  • "I'd say one of us follow Scout. The other two follow the other scent. We know that Scout probably wouldn't harm us" Yellowmoon stated, letting her tail fall away from Rabbit's shoulder, her mouth open as she stepped in the direction of the strange scent.

  • (OOC: It's okay, vermillion! :) )

Cedar's ears perked as Violet replied. Nodding at her request, he offered her and the kits a smile. "Of course, I'd be happy to go get some. I'll go start looking right away. I'm sure I can find some nice ones." even if he had wanted to turn down the request, Cedar didn't think he could. First of all, Cedar wouldn't want to disappoint the kits. The tom began to turn to pad out of the den. He had seen several wrens around her, so he was sure he could find enough feathers.

Hearing that Curio hadn't killed Scout brought Hazel some relief. At least someone else hadn't been killed. Looking over at Yellowmoon as the other she-cat laid out a plan, she nodded in agreement. "That sounds like a good plan. Who should follow who?" She asked, glancing between her two companions.

  • "Personally I want to follow his. I can sniff about wherever and might find something useful" She pointed out her ears twitching as she thought.

  • Yellowmoon thought for a moment before speaking up again. "Why don't you follow Scout? They probably don't want to see a tom right now if they've witnessed something. Why don't Rabbit and I follow this scent? " She offered, flicking her ear as he plan came together.

  • (OOC: Where is Scout at exactly?)

"Okay, that will be fine," Hazel said. She hadn't talked to Scout much, but Hazel guessed it'd be okay. Really, besides her brother, Hazel had really only spoken to Yellowmoon and Rabbit the most. "Be careful while following Curio," she cautioned them before turning to start following Scout's scent. "Good luck!" she called back to Yellowmoon and Rabbit before disappearing into the undergrowth.

  • "Of course! Be safe! " Yellowmoon called after her before flicking her ears towards Rabbit. "Shall we? " She asked, opening her mouth to once again scent the air.
