// Sounds good to me.
Salem & kits ('cause I'm too lazy to make something for each them...)
When all three nearly-matured kits greeted the motherly figure, she was absolutely happy. To see them safe was a miracle to her, together and happy. She licked each's head. "Hi," Her silky tone purred. Then she urged them to go on and continue their play. Meanwhile, the tall she-cat sat a distance to watch them, and their surroundings.
Gray looked content to continue pestering his littermates. He jumped his brother's tail while his sister went on to lecture him. Still, the brothers seemed content to wrestle, rather roughly. Ashe could only scold them both with a glare, yet she too soon joined the rough-house. Claws remained sheath, so no accidents to occur, with their mother's supervision as insurance. But one seemed to become distracted.
His silver ears perked. His whiskers twitched as unfamiliar scents wafted his black nose. While his siblings continued to play-fight, he wandered some ways away. They smelled similar to him and his kin, he noticed. He almost had pin-point their direction when he heard a sharp "Mint!" Soon Salem was beside him, ushering him back towards their broken den.
Yet now she became curious, anxious. Her bright green orbs scanned the treeline. Her ears swiveled, trying to make out noises. It didn't take much to pick up the faint sound of voices. Two, she noted. Along with two scents-- strange and nearly identical to wilderness, but not these trees, not this little patch of woods. She glanced back at her kits. "Back inside," She commanded them. They looked confused, but by the look and seriousness of her tone, they listened.
Salem
Once she was certain they had scurried into the shed, she began to look into the forest. She would find out who these cats were. Or at least, she'd observe them, if she were lucky enough to be so sneaky. So she stuck to the shadows, her dark pelt blending with ease. The two she heard came into view, and she narrowed her eyes in their direction., analyzing them. They didn't look threatening, she thought to herself. Though one couldn't be for sure. Thus she'd continue to look on, study the strangers.
