buddy system idea thread

    So a few members expressed interest in a buddy system before; if we were to implement one what features would you guys like to see? What should the activities of a buddy system include? How long should the buddy period last, etc...?

    hmmmm someone said in the other thread that there should be like,, 3 weeks?? before they switched off

    that would be p gucci to me

    i like buddy systems even though they really aren't done that much anymore, which is surprising because they used to be done all the time


    what if we had high positions of the clan (maybe the paladin team?) actually make different events like competitions and such for "buddies" to participate/compete in together? just a thought haha

    okay so I have some ideas!


    - okay so I was thinking that new members could get an older member to be a buddy (duh)

    - the new members have to check out after three weeks to make way for the upcoming members

    - We would have OOC and IC tasks/stuff instead of just IC like "you must have a conversation about yada yada" or "plan out a thread about the color blue"

    - maybe like a list of tasks like you have a thread a week where you and your busy work together, pm your buddy and strike up a chat, things like that maybe and then you can get a title/reward

    - someone could pm new members about it along with other important threads (request thread)

    - focusing on OOC as well as IC I think is important

    - and yeah I'll add more later

    would three months be too long?? like, that's a whole season and there can be a bunch of new people that won't have anybody because the older newbies are still with a buddy

    but yeah, anna's ideas are fine with me!!
