  • CIVILIZE THE MIND BUT MAKE SAVAGE THE BODY / Brynhild Arcanium / She/her / Sunclan

The pains of early childhood were fading from memory and now finally Brynhild was able to enjoy life. Of course amputation left her unable to gain the ability of flight like many of her other siblings, and as much as she was jealous of the potential, she selfishly replaced the thought knowing that she was probably going to end up stronger and much more courageous than them anyways. As months passed her siblings grew and so did she, however, Brynhild had become much more larger than all the rest. She was absolutely gigantic and because of that was generally rough with her younger littermates. It wasn't her intention to be so rough, even when she was as gentle as possible a simple shove too hard could leave her sisters and brothers tumbling. It angered her, really, she hated having to tone down her strength for people who couldn't handle it. Why couldn't she be able to play with the apprentices? People who could match her strength? She was so much bigger than some apprentices, she could definitely be one at this age, right?

Well, apparently not, so now she was left to entertain herself until she reached the proper age. A child could only keep themselves busy for so long, so eventually Brynhild lead herself into mischievous acts. Far off from the nursery the large hybrid was eyeing the camp borders, occasionally stepping out and back in, as if testing the waters to see if she could muster the courage to head off

    EDEN ARCANIUM

  • Compared to Brynhild, or even any of the other Arcanium children, Eden was smaller to some degree. She was winged, mind you, but she still had yet to learn how to fly. She was practicing, of course, trying her best, but a few rough tumbles had temporarily scared her off of the path of flight and kept her paws on the ground- steady, determined. And, at the moment, in search. They were slowly gaining more freedom on the Solar City now that they were a bit older, and Eden was taking all the precautions that she could. She didn't want anything bad to happen, and already the sights and sounds were sometimes overwhelming. But the fresh air, she found, was nice and crisp, and having more room to move around- considering that she never stopped moving was a welcome change. Though she spared play-fighting with Bryn like perhaps some of the other siblings, that didn't mean she wouldn't enjoy a game with her sister. Her senses higher than others, it didn't take her long to track down the sharp scent of the Arcanium child, who was clearly testing her boundaries. "Mama's goin' to be mad if you leave," she chimed up knowingly as she stopped several feet away from her bigger sister. Her wings were drooped around her, the wingtips touching the front of her shoulders as if her wings were her own personal blanket.

Another step forward, and her ears were flickering uncertainly, eyeing the invisible marker that was the SunClan border- though she could see more than just an 'invisible' line. It was hard to explain what the congregations of scents was like to her. It had a physical form, the sparks of an aura, of many beings, dancing like moonlight and sunlight in a dance, glimmering with all the stars the universe held in a mirage of yellows, oranges, and faint tones of red, glittering on the ground. She had yet to learn that this wasn't normal for a child to see, and as such, didn't think anything fearful of it. "No crossing the Star line!" she added timidly, her ear flicking again as she glanced back into the camp. "Play with me! You wanna play hide and seek?"

  • CIVILIZE THE MIND BUT MAKE SAVAGE THE BODY / Brynhild Arcanium / She/her / Sunclan

Her chocolate pointed forepaws would inch forward and back as the young woman combated her urges along with her thoughts, still evidently debating her decision on whether to leave or remain in boredom within Sunclan's camp until suddenly the familiar voice of one of her many sister piped in and redirected her eyes to turn away from the border and onto Eden. She quickly lowered her paw, digging toes into the ground and she took in the little girl's remark about their mother - pfft. That wasn't much of a threat or a discourage to her potential plot, but still she offered a stiff smile in order to avoid having a snitch on her paws. Brynhild loved all her siblings to death, she practically lived with the thought of protecting them until death, but sometimes even they could be little rascals.

"I'm not leaving, see?" The large kitten would look down to her paws, shimmying toes deeper into the soil, grounding her body to the camp flooring as if trying to prove to Eden this was her true plan, however the child had already seemed to have been distracted and moving along, so that display wasn't quite needed. Brynhild watched as her smaller sibling approached the borders, her beautiful wings draped along her frame, so thin from the lack of muscles but so soft and clear from the lack of use. A bit of jealousy sparked through her mind until she caught the timid words spoken by the young catsune.

"Star line?" She'd repeat, eyes narrowing and head cocking over as she tried to see what Eden was so fixated on, but quite honestly, in her eyes there was absolutely nothing but the strong scent of the border. She was about to continue on how this was actually called a border, but once again the topic was changed, this time on the concept of play and immediately Brynhild's eyes followed her sister's gaze upon the camp.

"Hide and seek! Let's do it!" And with that she started to trot forward before coming up to a halt, looking make and making sure her smaller littermate was following along just finely. Brynhild knew that her huge size was a great disadvantage on the hiding aspect of this game, but she didn't mention it. Only sore losers complained about that stuff - she wasn't a sore loser. She could be the best hide and go seeker even when she was this big.
