  • WELCOME TO THE JURASSIC EMPIRE!

    The discussion thread, at least. Doesn't look nice like some other threads yet, but it'll get there. For now, it will serve as a simple functional thread, so feel free to tag in.

  • Okay.

    On mobile atm, so this is just a very small concept to what I have in mind, but that's the gist of it. I'll add in more once I'm at my laptop :')

  • I have -- or at least attempted to do so. It was going to be called The Sunken Empire, and was based on Atlantis with cats who had fins and other appendages fit for ocean life. I even still have the introduction, but gave up on the whole thing after a while. It's still one of my best ideas, and by far the best thing I've written introduction-wise. I might one day continue to pursue that idea, but shrugs

  • It would be cool if you did. Picking up those long lost relics :D That's one of my favorite things about role plays - you can rediscover things you made in the past and make the choice whether or not to revive them.

  • True that!

    //edited and revised version

    The Jurassic Empire resides in a lush, vibrant jungle. They make their home in an ancient temple found deep within the heart of the rainforest, hidden behind walls of vines and perpetual rain and the cover of mist. The land seems so mysterious and foreboding that not many dare venture into it; it is a place of unknown secrets, where anything could leap out of the mist at any given moment. However, where therein lies uncertainty, also lies wonder and intrigue. For the lands that belong to the Empire are something straight out of an adventurer's journal — they are something that one could only imagine. Rock faces and waterfalls surround the temple that houses the members of the Empire; flowing down the rocks and falling from great heights, these waters drop into large pools, and often overflow to spread through the middle of the camp. Behind some of the waterfalls, little caves can be found, but one must pass beneath the falls to reach them, and doing so is often easier said than done — the water dropping from high above is stronger and much faster than most can handle. Many have been plunged beneath the surface of the pools, where rocks lie; these caves, however, are absolutely wondrous if one can only manage to make it past their watery guardians. Small stalactites can be found, hanging like spears from the ceilings; a truly peaceful hideout, these caves.

    hoo boy I'll likely add onto this over time if you guys like it, because I suddenly have a lot of ideas for this :')

    also, credit goes to Uncharted for the inspiration of ancient places <3

  • Well, call me a Rex's uncle, I LOVE IT! HO BOI, this is gonna be so much fun already, I can tell.

    Oh btw, I made a gimp version of the map I was making until I finish the photoshop one. It's not exactly pretty, but it'll give a rough layout. I can always go back and edit it later.
