  • // as a warning this will contain accidental transphobia on papers part bcos she doesnt know printed is trans!

    This was her chance.

The queens were sleeping peacefully the kits satisfied for once, Paperpaw could sneak out of this nursery. She thought she saw Cedarpaws napping form in the nest next to her but he could be elsewhere. She sends the dark shadow in the nursery a twisted smile, her mind made up.

Looking as innocent as possible, Paperpaw wandered past the guards at the front with a charmingly awkwafd look. "When you gotta go you gotta go y'know?" They seem to roll their eyes at her youth and her eyes sharpen adjusting to the moonlight.

There he was. The tom that hung around Dusksparks or whatever that tom was called who was getting buddy buddy with Cedarpaw. Who had hurt Cedarpaw. Following the black and white tom - Printedpaw? she hadnt bothered to get to know the stuttering waste of space just knew he and Duskpaw were close - they finally reached a quiet area. Perfect.

Lunging forwards she barelled the tom over with a squeal. She frowned. How weak was this dude? Doing what Cougarstar instructed, Paperpaw dug her claws into his shoulder and dragged a claw lightly down his squealing throat. "Oh stop it. You sound like a pig." With that, she makes a sharp scrape on Printedpaws shoulder only inches from a major vein. It was bleeding quite a lot but hadt hit. Damn it.

Right then, however, Dusksparks went to barrel into her out of nowhere, going to slash the side of her face and ears. He couldn't believe this! He normally was up at night just walking around, a habit he had gotten into during the famine where it made much more sense to just sleep through the hottest part of the day. And then, he was the medicine cat apprentice, and while he was very busy healing everyone's wounds when the ShadowClan medicine cat was around, eventually everyone was just completely healed up and he found out that unless someone's sick or injured, there's not a lot that a medicine cat does. Sure he had to now take care of all the herbs and was still trying to memorize each one and what they did, he mostly found himself sticking to the nighttime again. So, he was in the perfect position to see that one Windclanner, Paperpaw, attack and try to murder Printedroses. And well, he might be a healer now, but he had still trained to be a warrior, and a warrior he would be in this moment. "Get away from her! I think you've overstayed your welcome." He said, sharply, but still with as much energy as usual, if not a completely different type.

  • Dusksparks had come up on her blind side so she had no way of knowing he was coming. She growls as his claws smatter her cheeks with scratches and her lip curls. "Woah! Hey!" She cursed herself for being so sloppy and not thinking about all the possibilities. But seriously how weak was this warrior to be taken down by an apprentice!? Jeez.

"Instincts got the best of me and its late!" Paperpaw made her voice sound hurried and upset, casting deeply apologetic looks at Printedroses and Dusksparks. "Damn Im sorry about that but you surprised me when you walked out of the bushes, hes - uh, shes quiet yknow?"

She directs her pleas at Dusksparks, keeping an eye on Printedroses who didnt look too good.

  • ooc: oo dang here comes mama bear

Was that... fighting? Rosestar started with concern, suddenly remembering the WindClan apprentices and dashing out of her den, wide-eyed and alert. When she arrived just in time to witness Dusksparks barrel Paperpaw off of her former apprentice and now warrior Printedroses. Narrowing her eyes, she ordered to Dusksparks in a guarded manner, "Dusk, please escort Rose to the medicine cat den and look after her. I'll deal with this." She trusted her newly appointed medicine cat apprentice to handle the girl's wounds, but was not in the least pleased by Paperpaw. Not only had she extended a paw out of friendship by allowing her to stay, but she had apologized. And this cat had broken every ounce of trust she'd had for her.

Rosestar didn't even try to hide her anger once Dusksparks and Printedroses were safely away. "I agree with Dusk. You have overstayed your welcome." The first words were said in a passive aggressive manner, but the next ones were snarled out. "I invite you into my home, feed you with food we don't have, and this is the repayment we get? I ought to deliver you back to Jasperstar with scars to remember us by." Rage burned in her usually-timid green irises, the dark she-cat looming over Paperpaw. She was wildly overprotective of her Clanmates, likely rooting from her supposed inability to have kits of her own. So, taking a deep breath, yet still visibly fuming, she continued, "Lucky for you, I believe in the Warrior Code, so all I'm going to do is drag you back to WindClan where you belong and explain your behavior to your leader. I suspect Jasperstar will be as pleased as I am."

//ik this is set in the future, but like, how far into it? a week, a month, a couple months?

Dusksparks was about to call her out on her lie, seeing her stalk up behind Printedroses and attack, but before he could do so Rosestar appeared. At the command to take Printedroses back to the medicine den Dusksparks nodded and with a quick goodbye, proped his friend up and let her lean on him all the way back to the camp, and the den where he had been living for a while now. "Hey, it's okay Printed, you're in good hands!" He said, before getting out his supplies that he needed to patch her up. "Hey Callalily! Someone's hurt!" He shouted at the older cat, aiming to wake her up so she can help.

  • eyes widened in horror at the scene laid out before her. printedroses, one of her closest, actually, one of her only friends, had been injured by a windclan apprentice. a windclan apprentice who was supposed to be out of darkclan's camp by now and supposed to have not caused them any trouble. anxiety pulsed through her as she rushed over to make sure that the newly named warrior was still alive at least.

good starclan please let everything turn out okay, she thought to herself. dd-dusksparks, she called out in her stutter. puh-pl-please bb-bring mm-me suh-some cc-cobwebs and bbb-beech gg-grass. she paused for a moment to reconsider. shoot! what else did she need? she couldn't afford to freeze up! think dummy think! bb-broom and ff-fern tt-too!

  • Fadedpaw came upon the scene late, and had no idea what was going on. He saw Printedpaw lying on the grass, bleeding, and his eyes widened with fear. "Wh-what h-happened?" He stammered, looking around at everyone, and their was one cat he didn't know. A silvery white she cat was there, who smelled of WindClan. Fadedpaw looked to the medicine cat, who had a stutter like him, and dashed off to find Fern and Cobwebs. I should know what all of those are... Well, he wasn't a medicine cat apprentice, but if he knew all these plants he could be of more use! He returned with a bit of cobwebs and a mouthful of ferns. "I-is this e-en-ough?"

  • calla nodded anxiously as she took the herbs from the apprentice with haste. she was unaware of his name, but had seen him around before. either way, he seemed to know his stuff, she had to give him that. and, he had a stutter like her, so he was nice. mentally filing this new information away for later use, the ginger tabby simply nodded before rushing over to attend to printedpaw. yy-you're guh-gonna bb-be okay dd-dear, she stuttered to her friend reassuringly. ii-i'll pp-patch it uu-up in nn-no tt-time.

  • Fadedpaw paused nervously next to Printedroses, looking fearfully between her and Callalily. What if she needs the beech grass or broom? I haven't got a clue what that is! And had he brought enough cob webs? Printedroses was bleeding, a lot... He glanced at the WindClan apprentice now, angry but too afraid to show it. How could she do this? Come on our territory, and attack one of us! And then say she 'didn't mean to'. How can someone NOT mean to try and TEAR SOMEONES THROAT OUT?!

Faded paw forced his brain into shut down, just to give him a moment with a clear head. He'd gotten better at doing that, but it still only gave him a few minutes peace from his overly anxious mind. "C-Can y-y-you fix h-her?" He meowed, beginning to wonder if he should grab some other herb. If I could find it that is.

//for a second I thought 'Wait, shouldn't we @ printed paw?' but then I remembered Abe plays her/him as well XP

//this is set a couple months in the future, so they should have like, some knowledge of herbs and stuff. (not that much though, still not that much)

Cobwebs and fern, that was good, and he was happy to see Fadedpaw helping, as Dusksparks was still kind of freaking out about Printedroses being almost killed by someone he let into camp. But still, he looked around, trying to see if something looked familiar, and if it would help. Glancing at the yellow flowers - goldenrod, he knew that one! to treat injuries - he took it down and tried to remember how to do this. Did you eat it? But no, he remembered, he was the one who put it in his mouth and chewed it up. He decided it was best to ask Callalilydreams first anyways, just in case. "You chew goldenrod and put it on injuries, right?" He asked to the side, already putting it in his mouth to chew it to a paste.

  • she had no idea how he was being so calm about this. printedroses had almost died!frantically nodding, the ginger medicine cat hastily began to chew some goldenrod herself. mm-make it into a pp-paste, she instructed, taking in deep breaths to try and relax herself. ss-spread ii-it on hh-her ww-wounds.

  • *:??? Dusksparks

    ——| tags *:???

Truthfully, he was stressing out and freaking out internally, but none of that was translating to his movements, which was calm and sure. His normal energy was gone, replaced by an intense almost silence as he nodded, and spit out the golden rod to put on his friend's wounds. Which she had because someone tried to murder her. StarClan, how in the world could someone even do that? Who could be so evil to try to kill someone for no reason, especially after they let her in and gave her a place to sleep and extended kindness to her. Dusksparks just couldn't wrap his head around something that evil, something that he never thought happened in real life. "What's next?" He asked. While he knew there's probably nothing else they could do and it takes time from something to heal, but he wasn't satisfied until the wound was gone, all traces of the betrayal and how close he had gotten to losing his best friend gone. There had to be something to completely heal it right this second!

  • Faded paw watched, fidgeting slightly and shooting glances at the WindClan apprentice. He took some breaths, and turned his gaze to focus solely on Printedroses and the medicine cats.
