  • Still curious to know when someone is going to respond to the actual roleplay thread with some In character stuff. Bored of waiting on a dead thread to come back to life. Its understandable that you guys might be busy, but its killing me inside.

  • Honestly you leave everyone (anyone really) to themselves as the first post usually is more open and sets the stage for the beginning. Dracs in a place probably no one else is, and (I can't remember if your other characters replied but) makes it an awkward beginning.

And that's not even mentioning how Nantale has split from the alistan world almost completely. Seeing as I made a good sum of lore I've taken that and continue to use it in the private role play me and Poisonberry are in currently, which also in honesty is working out far better than the alistan thread ever did, even kdiggys. Therefore my interest in the other characters have kind of... died. Alistan could have been amazing but not everybody has the same level of muse and motivation to keep this thread and the previous thread alive.

I'm not ashamed or in the slightest hesitant to say it is you that killed this thread and your position in the original thread. Drac just didn't serve much purpose when he could have been an important character. I've seen it happen in other threads, Andy I can say with confidence it is what happened here.

So therefore to terribly attempt to put some humor in the situation, I will take the breadsticks and leave. If this thread is dead then what's the point of staying and wasting time?

  • But I've been trying to keep at least one of the threads I was in alive, because I'm tired of making or joining new threads with cool ideas only to see them because piles of dead bodies.

  • And that Frenchie. Is like saying why would you even bother with roleplaying at all if you know its all going to just die anyways. Its always the same for me. I make a thread {Usually with a more open beginning} and it lasts for a little while or not at all. It always dies at the end.

  • So therefore to terribly attempt to put some humor in the situation, I will take the breadsticks and leave. If this thread is dead then what's the point of staying and wasting time?

    /\/\/\

This hurts. It honestly like why are you even roleplaying then? You're just wasting your time because it will just end anyways. Either with the death of a roleplay or you all come to a conclusion to the story. Its basically a waste of time as well. Honestly using this logic for anything makes everything just seem so invalid now. So okay, I get your point and sorry for this rant of mine. Sorry.

  • I don't think you have to give up. You Just gotta find those people who are like you - who don't give up. I'm currently in a role play that has gone on for two whole years and still is going. Granted we lost many members, but the three of us that are left have stuct together out of determination and the love of our craft.

No way in hell should you quit if you love it. Never did I mean to say that. What I'm trying to say is you need to know when somethings not going to work and try again.

And if you want me to be real - my real life is rather tough. I deal with a lot of anxiety and depression that cripples my daily life. Roleplaying Is what I can turn to, something that is a constant in my life. And that's weird, as in my roleplay I pick up and drop dead threads like flies. Fictional worlds help me cope, so I have so much optimism for the threads, even when they die. Nantale? I've done his character over four Times for roleplays. hell he was a woman before this thread!

So yeah don't give up man. Y just gorta adapt and look at the positive sides and build off the failed threads. And that's coming from a pessimist-realist. I believe in you, and hope to see you in another role play.

Also: advice - I don't know whar your role play lineup lookslike, but maybe do more private roleplays. They are sometimes easier with replying and flexibility.

  • yEah, but all the positive things keep getting taken away from me. Its hard to keep trying.

Im kinda waiting for Oregon to completely burn over though. There's like hundreds of new forest fires and im here eagerly waiting ro be burnt alive.

  • man what positivity is In my life my brain is pulling me a milkion directions and that's just in my head whooooo

But yeah that fire is lit af that's me waiting to be burned alive.

  • I have to agree/w Frenchie, but there's an easy fix to this corner we're pinned in (I apologize for delays, school's in session now, literally). From the reply, Dracinas appears to be stuck on the Exiled Island. Seeing as all conflict with the Pyres is resolved, that would mean that my characters would be back in Denick, and as per the plot: no one is left to be King. The lords of the Kingdoms will have started claiming their right to the throne of Alistan, and beneath it all, a cult is rousing itself and growing in power. While Lord Jophiel or his general will likely not be able to interact with Dracinas; they'll be feuding with the other Lords as it is, though it's more defending their own rights by relinquishing tyranny from any of the other Lords.

Dracinas will have to find some way off the island to keep the course of the plot. I would like permission to have some influence on the plot. I will have to make some new characters, but, for now, I'm concerned about getting the protagonist(Dracinas in this instance), to where he needs to be; back in Kalikan. From there, he'll probably have to regain the kingdom by fending off a siege of some Lords' alliance, then begin a campaign in order to regain control of the regions, all the while keeping the cult in check from pulling the regions apart even more.

So... how do you want Dracinas off the island? Maybe the exiled lands could be the origin of the cult and where they set course for the mainland in order to begin their chaos and conquest. Dracinas might stow away on a ship, or steal it, and make his way back to the mainland.

.....Scratch a previous comment: I will have to make new characters.

  • The exiled lands were never meant to be part of the cult, those were a land that was purposely created by the king to condemn evildoers without actually killing them. It is considered to be the worst punishment in the lands, worse than death. If you are sent here, it is said you'll have no place in any heaven.

As for the my starting post in the roleplay, that was a little weak for me. I did have three characters in total I could've used to start it off. But i was busy so I started it quickly. Now people shouldn't have to rely on me to create their own interactions and stuff.
