Many seasons ago, a lonely rouge discovered this beach and the surplus of food and shelter that it harbored. He settled here and soon met a beautiful she-cat who lived in the nearby forest. Together they formed a family and lived peacefully. It didn't take long before other rogues and loners heard of the news. They too wanted a peaceful life and joined the two cats on the beach. In order to keep peace with the rouges, the tom formed Tidalclan. He created a code for the cats to live by and so created a wonderful way of life.
It's present day and you're sleeping in the warrior's den. Perhaps you've lived in Tidalclan your entire life. Perhaps you just arrived. Either way, your life is changing forever. The clan has just made it through a large flood. Many cats did not survive, including the leader. His dying wish was to strip the deputy, Brightshell, of her title and give it to another, less experienced cat. Tensions are high, a rebellion is looming and an unknown enemy stalks the clan from within it's very walls. How will the cats survive this?
The territory is made up of grassy plains, wooded highlands, and long expanses of beach. The apprentices train in all areas of the territory in order to be prepared for anything that can be thrown at them. Their camp is located in a large cavern on the beach just feet from the peaceful ocean. Inside of the cavern, small dens branch off for the separate ranks of the clan. Nearest to the front of the entrance is the warriors den and the nursery is located at the back with the other dens nestled between them.
All of the cats are taught how to swim during their apprentice training and fishing is a major source of food for the clan. The cats balance calmly on rocks jutting out of the ocean and swipe fish straight out of the water. They also search the beach for crabs, seagulls, and other ocean life. Mice, squirrels, shrews and the like can be found on in the highlands and, although they are less common, they still make for a tasty meal.
TidalClan strongly believes in their warrior ancestors. On the night of the full moon, the medicine cats and their apprentices visit the Moon Pool - a tide pool sitting in a rocky bed where the crystal clear water reflects the moon. Here the medicine cats share news and prophecies with StarClan.

*Tide Watchers are responsible for watching for high tide (when flood threats are highest), watching for low tide (when beach hunting is the easiest), reporting to the leader if any sea predators - such as orca and seals - have been seen on the shore line, watch for storms out on the ocean (which can also affect tide and create flooding), and most importantly they will be trained on evacuation protocols so that no more cats are lost due to flooding.
Current Plot:
The clan just suffered a major flood! Sadly, the leader, Beachstar, and an elder, Burnetleaf, did not survive. The cats have returned to their old camp, but the new leader Reefstar is sending out several patrols a day, looking for a new home. The cats are tired and irritable and tension looms in the air. One cat is taking advantage of the growing tension and is secretly recruiting cats for an uprising against the inexperienced Reefstar. Which side will you choose?
Future Plots:
- Something wicked lurks within the clan.
- The fish are dying and our kits are starving, we have to find out why before it's too late.
- Twolegs are flooding the beaches. Is there any way to get rid of these foul beasts?!
Recap:
A flood has torn the camp apart. The trusted leader Beachstar has given his last life to save the life of a kit and an elder, Burnetleaf, has joined him on his journey to StarClan. During his last moments, Beachstar stripped the deputy, Brightshell, of her title and given the position to the slightly inexperienced Reefsplash. She has now claimed her nine lives and the name Reefstar, but cats are still wary of the strange and confusing change.
