  • Zuko smiles brilliantly as he nods in agreement. “Both of our children are simply beautiful. There may come a time in the future where I may have to fend off and test young men competing for our daughter’s heart. To some extent, I’m not looking forward to that.” He hums, rocking Katsa who was gurgling in his arms.

  • (Oh you have no idea >:D )

"Let's not get too ahead of ourselves... Let's enjoy them as children while we can..." Neo smiled warmly, thoughts of the future flowing through her despite her words.

  • (Hehehe... Katsa is going to capture a lot of boys’ attention when she’s older. Zuko and Raion would have to work together on keeping Katsa free of greedy idiots)

He grins, stealing a kiss from her lips. “I can’t wait to explore the future with you and our son and daughter.”

  • (Yep.)

Just like before, several months ago, Zarola popped up from where she was before. She pounds on the door, waiting for someone to answer.

Zuko frowned for a moment, clearly not having expected a visitor. “Here... Hold Katsa while I answer the door. I’ll be right back.” He said for a moment as he carefully handed the infant girl to his wife and went to answer the door to find Zarola there. “Oh god...” he muttered before forcing a friendly smile on his face. “Oh Zarola! What an unexpected visit!”

  • Hierax sniffed the air and peeked around the corner... He was becoming more and more animal each day... His eyes betrayed no emotion... Now being 18 he was technically an adult, but he still looked as poorly as a child...

Neo heard a familiar voice and her heart sank. Please... please don't be able to shift yet... Her body was stiff and she was completely quiet. The babies seemed to sense something was wrong and began fussing, but Neo didn't quiet them.

  • Zarola snorts, pushing past the new father. “Where is my student?” She asked, going further into the house without waiting for an answer until she eventually came upon Neo’s and Zuko’s room. “So you’ve already delivered... and it’s two brats rather than one....”

  • Neo snapped out of it, "Uh... Yeah. Yes. Yes, I have." She didn't say anything about the brats comment. "Just the other day, actually. You're just in time." She forced a smile.

  • Zarola eyed the young mother before coming closer to get a closer at the infants. Now she was starting to really scare Katsa who had began to cry out in fear. Her shifter features luckily (so far) hadn’t come out yet but with how much she’s fussing, it might just slip and show off the panther ears and tail

  • Hearing this, Neo snuggled Katsa closer to her, "Shhh... Shhh... Hush now... It's only Zarola." But She still seemed frightened off the women. Raion, however, still a little fussy, was mostly confused. Who is this new person? Who is she to me? His green eyes examined her. Neo looked up looking for Zuko, seeing if he had followed Zarola in.

  • Zuko did follow Zarola but he had to grab a couple of things to defend his family with. What? He had a gut feeling that something was going to happen and he needed to be ready. Especially since Zarola had pulled out a silver knife, a test of some sort perhaps?

  • Neo didn't notice the knife, as she was looking after her children. Raion, however, not only saw it, but somehow sensedit's presence. By instincts, he shifted... well, partially. He grew cat ears, a fluffy tail, and paws, and he was mewling angry, frightened and confused by the foreign object. Neo noticed, and instantly she knew she was screwed. The leaned back against the wall where it sided with the bed, and put her arms around both children, concealing them and protecting them... She didn't say anything at first...

  • Zarola immediately noticed the ears and tail before the boy was held and hidden in Neo’s arms. This got her so angry that she practically snapped. “You... you procreated with a monster? I can forgive you for having a family if the brats were human but clearly they’re not...” She snarled, whipping around to face Zuko. “And if they are monsters and you’re the father, it can only mean that you’re one of them.” With that, she attacked Zuko in an attempt to kill him. Had he not gotten weapons and armor first, he would’ve struggled to fend off this surprisingly strong aging woman.

  • Neo was caught between saving her husband and protecting the babies. For a moment, she paused, thinking over her actions, and then decided to act. Since they were blocking the way out, she'd have to fight her, with no weapons... Stay safe, young ones... I'm so sorry... She nestled the children safely inside their crib and then hid them with a blanket. She then lunged on Zarolas back and clasped her hands around her neck, pulling her back. "Stop! Stop! You don't understand!" She screamed. She saw the flash of silver and was filled with fear for his life. Neo was wearing nothing but the gown she gave birth in, and she was still kind of weak from the process.

  • (It you deemed it to be the only option, or want to go for it, you have permission to kill Zarola. That way hawk boy has a chance to live freely once more. Perhaps he can even act as babysitter when Zuko and Neo eventually goes back to hunting)

“What is there to understand traitor?” The woman hissed, throwing Neo off since she has more strength for the moment. “You allowed yourself to be tainted by those monsters and slacked on the job. He and those brats will die and then you will be punished.”

  • (I wasn't thinking about killing her, but that is an option if you're up for it. However, I was thinking about have Hierax look after the children kind of like a nanny or babysitter.)

"NO!" Neo lept up off the floor, seeming more animal than the rest of her family, and punched/scratched Zarola acrossed the face. When she was nocked back a bit, Neo joined up with Zuko, steeling a gun from and and also, at the same time, checking to see if he was hurt or not.

Hierax, smelling a huge surge of fear scent, tried to decide in his mind whether or not to cower back, or go and investigate... He peeked in a little, and down the hallway he say a commotion...

  • (I have no problem with it. Besides, she’s stuck in her ways and will return later to try killing them again in the future.)

Zuko got very lucky. The worst he got was a small scratch on his cheek. Hurts like hell but he’ll live. Zarola hissed, covering her face for a moment before looking at the couple with a crazed look. “Fine... then you’ll all die here by my hand!” She screeched, running in for another deadly attack that may or may not land.

  • Quickly Neo lifted up her gun, and when Zarola was only seconds way from her, she pulled the trigger. This time, there was ammo...

Hierax jumped, startled by the sound of a gunshot.

Raion looked around confusedly and cried out for an answer, making burbley noises and little clicks...

  • Had Zarola thought clearly on what she was doing, she might’ve been able to reduce the damage but she was too blinded so when Neo pulled the trigger, the bullet hit her heart. She only had a few more seconds of life to be shocked before she dropped dead. If only she saw Zuko and the babies as they are rather than monsters and accepted them, she might’ve accepted the new family.

Zuko’s eyes widen in surprise when he realized that Neo killed her former teacher. But... it might’ve for the best. She was trying to kill them all instead of listening after all.

Katsa was still crying (but not as much thanks to her brother being by her side), even more so after that loud sound. It was clear that she couldn’t keep calm like her twin so she releases her cry of fear and distress since she didn’t know what else to do.

  • Neo dropped the gun and stepped away, a little shocked at what she had done. However, since she was accustomed to seeing death, the sight of her former mentor heart her heart: Not her head. She felt like she should be crying, but instead she just stared, blank faced. What have I done...

After a moment of silence, Hierax mustered up the courage to go and see what was happening. The first thing he saw was Zuko, decked out in armor. Odd. He thought, until he saw blood. A couple more steps. The source of the blood. Is she...? Yes, she was. He didn't know what to think, just froze. This was new. Every animal instinct said flee, but every human thought said stay, and maybe part of him was actually... happy? Relieved?

Raion smelt something off, and then called a little louder for his mother, but she wasn't there. There was only very feint light coming through the blanket, the rest was dark.
