  • so shadowclan is the second most active clan, which i'm proud about, but there's always room for improvement, y'know? we've got a lot of great members, but i'd love to see some diversity among the characters!

so i wanted to see what YOU think about traditional shadowclan? pro's, con's, problems, etc.? specifically, what makes you join or not join it?

  • i've always wanted to join shadowclan in the past, i attempted to make some friends and chat in the chatting thread before joining and it was hard to get into the conversation, people always seemed to look over my posts, and it seemed a bit cliquey so i never put in a character until 2 weeks ago when i decided to give it a shot b/c i always heard great things about it and leadership/hps have always been strong in terms of activity, plots, etc.

so, again for the first time in some months, i posted in the chat thread introducing myself, tracking, and stating that i was joining. 1 person welcomed me and nobody else did, continuing on with their conversations. so, that was discouraging to see as i didn't feel very welcome. i put up a joining thread with my character and to my surprise several people managed to post so that made up for the ooc unwelcoming environment. i didn't get many posts out with my character partly because i lost muse for them and it seemed like some people didn't even bother reading my posts. so, again, i felt kind the beginnings of a cliquey vibe both ooc and ic because everyone kind of interacted between their own inner circles?? when i stated that i was dropping my character out of shadowclan, again 1 person said goodbye, etc. (rose, that was you <33 thank you for acknowledging my post), but everyone else didn't even seem to read my post so that was discouraging to see that nobody really cared if i was there or not.

maybe if i posted more with my character or something my view would change but my first impression wasn't great and i'm not one to stick around an environment like that. sorry if that seemed harsh or anything, just being honest about my view and my experience. i understand that nobody purposely meant to leave me out but that's what happened. :^) (and i've been in the trad. game for a year now so i know everyone is made out of sunshine)
