Felt like she did this shit yesterday -- or, at least, last week -- but Athena saw fit to give her a medical task for the week. Not that surprising to Jupiter; healing was what she was most useful for, at least. With a slight huff, she shook her head and sat down in the cafeteria, flinging a few corpses in various conditions in front of her. "Medical training session over here. Let me know if you want a private one, yadda yadda, and don't eat my corpses until I'm done." There, that probably sufficed to get some attention.

Shēnshì 绅士
Shenshi had recently returned from being taken against his will to the Cartel, where he was rudely interrogated and mentally abused, and well to say the least his activity has been slim since. Spending most of his time bundled up in his cluster of soft fabrics in a cold cell along with his stuffed elephant toy - the only personal item that survived the fire of the last territory. The gentle pug was thankful for that, and the brave familiar faces who had rescued him and the others who were taken. But he couldn't help but feel almost useless, considering he couldn't defend himself nor anyone else, hell he couldn't even hunt. Prey could hear him miles away due to his heavy breathing and grunting.
So when Jupiter had called for medical training, he decided to hop on the chance to learn something handy. Sure he still wasn't in the best of spirits, but some social interaction was probably better than spending working hours asleep. Trotting over to the younger individual, his plump body swayed with the shifts of his body weight. "Hello Jupiter, I hope you wouldn't mind teaching some as simple as myself." Shenshi's accented voice was still cheerful as he casually referred himself in a ruder manner, though his chocolate eyes still glittered as bright.
[Private or open is fine btw, up to you]

jitterdoll was aware that people got hurt sometimes and had these things called "herbs" and stuff applied to them, but she originally hadn't known how people would come across the knowledge of healing. jupiter would be a good source of information and the astute child would quickly drink up everything there was to be taught during the session. she would wander over shortly after senshi and sat herself beside the pug, offering a small smile in his and jupiter's direction. "hi! i'd like to learn too!" the pup's paws twitched at the end of her sentence. her jitters were coming back, but the young girl didn't seem to notice her body's sudden twitching start up.
/same here! it doesn't matter to me if its open or private :^))

Medical...medical...? His mind currently barely processed the words that were being thrown forward. All because he was more intrigued in the dead corpses that were laying upon the cafeteria table. Slowly the young tiger's head tilted to the side and he breathed in a heavy breath before he looked away and thus he tried to focus more on what the conversation was about right now. Lessons on medical basics was the topic and he gave a low nod of his head. He was fairly new here but he didn't see a reason as to not learn how to treat his own body and so he settled down, paws crossing over one another and gaze of intense amber watching the jackal before him. "I'll listen." It wold be more of a challenge to see if he actually retained anything that he actually heard since he was constantly looking back to the corpses, a jaw shivering slightly.
//open is good with me!

"Ah, learners are always welcome. There's quite a lot of healing to do in a place like this, after all," the jackal spoke in return, as usual, surprised by the sheer politeness of some of the members here. Always surprising. "We'll cover basics here and get into the boring stuff you'd need to know to actually be good at healing in the private sessions," she spoke with a curt nod. That was something people did, right? Eh.
"Alright, so, this dead squirrel has a broken leg -- no broken skin, though. What do you do?" she asked them, wanting to assess their knowledge on broken bones.
[ private lessons up, let me know if more people want more lessons!! she's going to give an intro class here and go more in depth in the private sessions. :3 ]

Neopolitan was a bit late, not having known about this little session up until now, hopefully Jupiter and the others that showed up would not mind her arriving in the middle of the lesson (though it sounded like it just started). Already she was glad to be here, because right now Jupiter was covering a topic she did not know about. But a rather important one to learn. The mute vixen would take her notebook and pen, going to write down her answer for Jupiter. I don't know what you would use to bind the leg... but would it probably be a good idea to give the injured person some painkilling herbs to ease the pain? Like dandelions or poppy seeds?
(ooc- neopolitan knows some basics on herbs, so she'd be up for a private lesson teaching her more than the basics!)

Hmm, Neo had a good thought, and the healer nodded approvingly. "Yes. But, you want to be careful that the pain medication you give them does not have blood thinning properties -- this will make internal bleeding worse," she spoke, putting that little tidbit out there. After all, that would become vital information if they were trying to heal broken ribs, instead, and the ribs happened to graze an organ in the process of being all bent out of shape.
"As for binding the broken limb, you'll want to take something at least as long as the bone itself and rather sturdy -- like a human metal pole or even a thick, straight stick if you have nothing else on hand. You'll then do your best to align the bone correctly and fasten it to the straight object as best you can," she explained, demonstrating as so on the dead squirrel. Still staring at the corpse, she barked, "Alright, any questions?"
-
That sounded well enough and he was taking down notes mentally as they spoke of what to do when there was a broken bone. No blood thinning properties, and try to set the bone as carefully as possible so it will heal properly. He doubted he would remember all of this but he would try his best to keep some medical knowledge for it the time came for him to help someone. Yet, he was curious of one thing but he wanted for the healer to stop talking before he decided to ask it himself. Just to be on the safe side of things here. "So what's the procedure for broken ribs and also for when the bone actually does come out of the body?" Did they just shove it back in and hope for the best because that sounded like a dangerous feet all by itself and he didn't want to be that idiot that just shoved it around and ended up killing someone.

Her mental attention shifted to the adolescent tiger, though her body did not move to follow. At least she could gather his relative position by sensing the shifting of the earth. "Unfortunately, ribs are very difficult to heal. With each breath, they move just a little bit out of place -- the only thing you can do is give them pain medication and let them heal on their own. Restricting the chest to bind the ribs... well, that can lead to further complications with the lungs," she answered his first question, pausing at the end to gather her thoughts.
"If it's sticking out of the skin, then that's an open fracture. The same treatment applies, but now you must take care to keep the wound wrapped at all times with the regular administration of sterilizing the wound to prevent infection. The main concern here is infection: with such a deep wound, the possibility of terrible problems, such as bone infection, becomes likely," she continued, supposing that gave him a good top-level answer to his question.
