"THE WORLD IS SUFFERING. I HAVE TRIED AND FAILED TO PROTECT IT. I WISH IT WASN'T THIS WAY BUT I NEED TO ASK MY PEOPLE FOR HELP. MEW MY OLD FRIEND! I HOPE YOU CAN HEAR ME. CALL THOSE YOU DEEM WORTHY TO YOU. MAKE IT SO THEY CAN HELP PEOPLE AND POKEMON ALIKE. THIS WORLD NEEDS SPIRIT."

There is a chill. A wind blows carrying letters to the chosen. All the letters say is to leave their pokemon to someone trusted, may it be a daycare or family, and to go to an abandon railway. These champions have no idea what they are getting themselves in to...

(Please have your characters meet in the railway.)

  • Rose looked over the letter again, making sure she had read it correctly. 'I have to go alone? Why?' she wondered. This all seemed a bit too suspicious for her liking, I mean she couldn't even bring Buster! She fidgeted with her scarf to ease her nerves and looked around her room. Buster was sitting down only a few feet away and looked concerned. Rose smiled, "aww come up here buddy," she said, patting her lap. The bunnelby hopped up and nuzzled against her chest. The little tag on his collar jingled softly. Rose laughed and petted just behind his ears. "So what do you think Buster, should I go?" The bunnelby perked back up at the word 'go' and hopped around excitedly. Rose laughed, "oh no I can't take you Buster. I'm sorry."

Buster settled down and hopped back over to Rose. He grabbed her hand and tried to drag her up. "Buster! You can't go!" she reminded him, but Buster either wasn't listening or really wanted her to go. Once Rose was on her feet he hurried over to the closed door. He looked up at Rose as she slowly came over, tapping his foot impatiently. Rose sighed and opened the door, expecting the bunnelby to run off so she had an excuse not to go, but he stayed put. He made that little chirping noise bunnelbies make and gestured to the door. "Fine, I'm going. If I don't come back soon enough just get Mom and Dad," she told him before going out the door. She shut it behind her and looked around at the land around her. The oran berries were almost ready to be picked and the mareep around her were baaing lazily among themselves. Rose breathed in deeply. "It's ok, I'll be fine," she told herself before heading off towards the traintracks.

  • Lance had been waiting at the train tracks for half-an-hour, believing it was all some sort of sick joke. He had left Luka and Excalibur back at his house. They were perfectly capable of keeping themselves occupied for years without caring where Lance went. Sure, they were a great team, but they knew that Lance loved to go on little adventures that kept him away for months, though none ever lead to human contact. As a matter of fact, Lance hadn't had a two-sided conversation in months.

Currently, Lance had chosen to sit on a fallen log off to the side of the tracks, hidden in the shadows, watching the nothingness with his chin propped in one hand. He didn't want to be here. He didn't want to be a champion. Lance had already tried, and it had failed. There was no such thing as a champion. It was just something idiots chased after. People who had no sense of reality.

A snort escaped Lance. He knew there would be other people, and they were probably all very excited to become heroes of justice. Lance knew they'd all be disappointed. There as no such thing. He hoped he wouldn't be surrounded by all those stereotypical people who chanted "for the greater good" and all that nonsense.

  • Ivy walked throw the cold chill towards the rail way she was told about in the letter. She was coming to this desolate looking place purely out of curiosity against all better judgement. She had spent hours debating on what to do with her woobat Ophelia, in the end Ophelia kept nudging her towards the door wanting her to go. So she left a quick note for her father to take care of her beloved fur ball for awhile and off she went.

She was beginning to regret coming here every second that passed. She was wearing a black tank and jeans, not the best chose for the cold weather. When she saw a person in the shadows her stomach twisted in knots. She hated talking to people, she always felt so awkward not knowing what to say, so she either came off like an idiot or a complete jerk. Taking a deep breath she took a step forward. "Hey, got me out here now what" She said with annoyance heavily in her voice. She figured other people would show up being "champions" as she was. Sooner this was over the sooner she could curl up in a warm blanket reading

  • Robin was on her way to the tracks. She did as she was told and left her beloved porygon-z, Newton, and her Minior, Issac with her parents. She told them that that she was going to be out for a bit. She was afraid that they wouldn't be able to keep control of Newton with him being a porygon-z, but she had faith in their abilities as trainers. It was honestly stupid of her to do what the letter says, but she thought this would be a fun adventure. The railway was a good hour walk from her house so she thought she decided to run. However she was completely out of shape, so by the time she made it there she was huffing and puffing. Sitting on a log was a terrifying man and a girl shouting at him. Instead of intervening, she just watched from a distance.

  • A letter saying to come to a abandoned rail way? Yeah she couldn't even believe it... Pandora walked to the railway by herself surprisingly not running into a single pokemon. When she arrived there was a few already there one was yelling at another. Another girl looked as if she ran a marathon to get here. Sighing softly she adjusted her backpack with a few days food non perishables of course just in case she got lost or was alone it would be something she could use to keep pokemon away from her reaching into her pocket she pulls her modified scope lens out and puts it on her head using it as a magnifier looking around at the ground checking all the dust that seems to be layered around here.

  • Lance arched an eyebrow, momentarily confused by the girl's outburst. Did she think he sent the letters? Seriously? Yes, he was well-aware of the fact that he was mysterious, weird and a total loner. It made perfect sense. But Lance wouldn't have sent it to one — no, three — little girls. A sneer twisted his lips as he looked from one to the other.

"Oh, you think I sent the letter. I wish I could say yes, but I wouldn't've sent it to a bunch of incompetent little girls," Lance sneered, standing up and strolling out of the shadows. "Of course, if one of you know the sender, I would speak up now."

His eyes glittered dangerously as he looked down upon his companions. They were filled with disgust and annoyance. He had come all the way out here to "join forces" with little kids. Lance didn't buy any of this bull. Not a drop.

  • Pandora glanced up at Lance giving him a uninterested and shy look and going back to her own investigation. Standing up off the ground and sitting on one of the benches cracking open a book ignoring the arguing that was about to take place. She really didn't want to add to the fighting at all instead putting her nose in a book about pokemon writing or better known as the unknown writing. She could read it and she was happy that she could escape into her book whenever she wasn't comfortable.

  • Rose groaned when she heard people talking up ahead. She had walked far enough and was too tired to be nervous right now. Besides, from what she could understand these people were here for the same reason she was, which was still unknown! She looked over at the people and decided the best option would be to stay away from them. She didn't think that dude would take kindly to yet another little girl showing up, especially when she seemed to be the shortest, and probably youngest, one there. Oh well, atleast only one of these people looked like they would abduct her and she heard him say it wasn't him so she should be alright. The other girls here seemed OK enough, but she was pretty content just watching.

  • Ivy let an annoyed gasp when the man responded, how dare he call her an incompetent little girl. Granted she probably approached th situation wrong, but the dude didn't need to be a jerk about it since it was an honest mistake. Before she responded she noticed that other people had arrived and were looking at them.

Her stomach started to twist into more knots at the thought of being watched and being around so many people, but she couldn't shy away and prove this jerk wad right. "I am as much a little as your are a little boy" She responded to him in the same tone he gave her then shut her eyes and sighed. "Know what you're not worth my time. Let's just meet this stranger then go out separate ways" She turned around and sat down under a near by tree that looked like it was about to fall over. "Since this might be longer then we want, I'm Ivy" She called aiming her voice to the other girls her voice was filled to the brim with disinterest. Hopefully this would end and she wouldn't need to see them again. Her stomach still had a hurricane of Butterfrees in it.

  • Lance rolled his eyes. "I'm twenty. Does that sound like the age of a child to you?"

Peering a little closer before the girl spun away, Lance could feel the nervousness radiating off her. Despite his isolation, Lance had a natural talent for reading emotion and hiding his own. He smirked at the girl's turned back before brushing past her with a hard shove, heading back towards his fallen log where he could sit in the shadows and brood. It would be better than dealing with everyone else here.

  • Camellia had just close the florist shop for the day when a mysterious letter landed in her hand. To her surprise the letter was addressed to her. Curious to what might be in the letter, she ran as quick as she could home, before taking a peek at the letter. "Why do I have to go alone?" She asked herself as read the letter. After putting the letter away, she grabbed her bag and put her poke-balls in a box with a letter to her mother asking her to watch over her pokemon. She take another glance at the letter for the location, before rushing off to meet the sender of the letter.

As soon as Camellia got to the destination, she noticed that she wasn't the only one to be sent a letter. She looked over at the others not sure if one of them was the sender or not. "Hello I'm Camellia. Does anyone know who the sender of this letter is?" She asked as she pulled out the letter.

  • "Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Robin and from what I have seen, no one sent the letter," Robin bowed to her in an awkward knight way. She then turned to the spoopy man and said, "sir, I understand that you are 20, but calling me, a 17 year old, little seems a bit stupid doesn't it? I'm no less than 3 years younger than you."

  • "Pandora..." She said glancing up from the book of unknown lettering. She said it really quiet she'd be surprised if anyone one of them heard her but it didn't matter much to her. She didn't want to be by any means involved with what's going on. Actually the only reason she came here was to return the letter to the sender and tell them she wasn't interested.

  • "You're smaller than me," Lance stated simply. "I believe I can call anyone smaller than me 'little,' or any other variation of that word." He regarded those gathered again, and then added with a resigned sigh, "It seems none of you are the sender of this letter. And neither am I. So the point is, why don't we all just go home and pretend this never happened. Wouldn't that be nice?"

This whole things was wasting time. Lance had better things to do than answer prank letters and hang out with other people. It was always so boring. Lance didn't understand why people still believed they could change the world by changing human nature. That cause died so long ago, Arceus hadn't even been alive.

  • "You are only an inch or two taller then me, hardly something that boast superiority " Ivy said to the rude guy in front of her. "With your logic we have the right to call everybody taller than us giant mindless fools" Ivy had no love for this man and it almost made her physically sick that she agreed with him about going home. "It was a pleasure to meet you Robin, Camilla and the other girl reading, but it appears this was just some ones pathetic idea of a joke."

  • Clutching the letter, Zander read it, eyebrows raised in surprise. Pachirisu was on his shoulder and, despite the small Pokemon being unable to decipher the strange runes on the piece of paper, seemed to be studying it just as thoroughly as her Trainer.

"Pachirisu, you've got to stay here." Zander told her, lifting her from his shoulder and placing her on his desk. "Look, if I don't come back before bedtime, feel free to alert Mom, Dad, Jordy, or Lucas." Pachirisu stared at him for a few long moments, face creased in confusion, before giving a - reluctant - nod.

Zander set out, and when he made it to the train tracks, he realized that there was a group of people already there. "Am I late?" He asked, heterochromatic eyes blinking in surprise. He hadn't gotten that letter that long ago - how long has everyone been here?! "Sorry about that. I'm assuming you all got the letter, too?"

  • "Well would you look at that, another dude. The names Robin," She bowed again and said, "okay there has to be a reason for us all to be here. I live a little further from the city and really don't know anybody my age. So nobody to prank me for fun, and even then how would they know you guys as well. We have almost nothing in common beside our somewhat closeness in age."

She looked at the other ready to here all their opinions. She didn't want any of them to leave because she really wanted to see how this whole thing would play out. She didn't want to go home after that run and she knew she would get an earful from her parents for leaving without her pokemon.

  • Lots of kids like Dylan left home. So, he couldn't understand why Grandma and Grandpa wouldn't let him go, at first. He had to convince them he'd be alright. Although he let Grandpa take him and drop him off close to the railroad. The blonde child wandered the rest of the way, dressed up in his hoodie and sporting a little backpack.
