  • That was the inspiration, yes, but they do not start in the ocean if that's what you're thinking. Nor will it center around the ocean.

    And girl, preferably.

    "Initializing emergency CPR."

A dull pain awoke in Seth's chest as he slowly regained consciousness. He was groggy as hell, and he had a pounding headache. How that happened, he couldn't exactly remember, but there was too much smoke for him to focus. Smoke...the Typhoon...the life pod...his life pod.

Crap, I'm in the pod,Seth realized, memory flooding back to him. As well as a thick volume of fumes down his throat. Coughing, he staggered toward the hatch, where there was light dimly shining through the porthole. He at the lever, desperate to get out, before he remembered to pull, and then with a hiss and a heave against the door he toppled out of the pod and onto the sand face first. That did nothing to help with his lung irritation, and with another fit of coughing he rolled onto his back. He was hyperventilating. Control was needed. Regular breathing. Breathe...An inhale through the nose, to stabilize himself. An exhale through the mouth, to calm his contractions. And repeat. Slowly his coughing subsided, and he could focus again. He could start getting his bearings.

He could begin to figure out just where the hell he was.

  • Rather unlucky compared to her companion's location, Lelia's pod crashed right into the shallow waters where it hit the ground and jumped back up. The small craft understood that it was in water and deployed floatables to keep the device on the surface so that its passenger could have a safe exit.

Lelia skrunched her face as she began to wake from unconsciousness, eventually opening her eyes and staring dumbfounded at the life pod's porthole. Hers had sustained minimal damage and was in a workable condition for safety, but the girl eventually moved to get an understanding of what all just happened. A groan escaped her as she got up and pawed at the porthole before working the door and opening it. She embraced the fresh air and popped out, taking a deep breath with closed eyes before noticing a specific sound... Could it be...? Waves?! She gripped the little entrance of her life pod and gazed out with wide eyes towards the vast ocean. Of all the places, why here?! Her aims trembled as fear started to seep into her soul, so much so that she let out a screaming cry, it's not like anyone would hear her anyway might as well get it out. However, little did she know that she was in the shallows, and right behind her was the beach where her only surviving companion lies

  • Seth heard the splash while he was getting onto his feet finally, but didn't think much of it, still having a headache and all that was making standing up very unpleasant. The scream, however, he heard loud and clear. Especially loud. Jesus, please stop! he moaned inwardly, clutching at his temples as he turned toward the source of the noise. Immediately water-reflected sunlight blinded him, and he brought a hand down to shield his eyes. This was doing NOTHING to help his current condition, damn it! Now who the hell screamed? Seth blinked a few times, to adjust to the light, and the first thing he registered was waves on the beach. Beyond that, just water. And more water, and more water, a life-pod, some more water...

Wait a minute. Seth backed up a bit, making sure he saw that right. Another life-pod. The significance of that took a minute for him to comprehend, but when he did he was already half-way out into the water and nearly upon the steaming vessel. "Hey!" he cried, a little hoarsely. Clearing his throat, he tried again. "HEY! Is someone there?"

  • With a huff of exhaustion, the girl hung herself onto the life-pod's edge and peered out onto the ocean water, "Why did it have to be water.", she mumbled to herself, whining about her current situation. At least she had a pod that would provide her with some sort of shelter for the time being, although who knows how long it would take to get to any shores, if there were any nearby. What if the planet was only made of water? Or what if she was attacked by any amount of vicious sea creatures? She thought, along with countless other horrible scenarios. Starting to panic, she slid back into the pod to gain a sense of security, wrapping her arms around her and working on calming herself down.

It was then she heard a voice, a voice from outside..! She wasn't quite sure if she was embarrassed or relieved, knowing that whoever was calling out had definitely heard her scream. She popped back out of the pod and gave a quick look around, eventually laying her eyes on an approaching body. "S-shallow??" she said under her breath, confused and even more embarrassed than before. "Ahem..." Lelia cleared her throat before addressing to whom she'd been addressed to, "Y-yes!", she simply called, not sure what else she would say, what would you say?

  • A surge of relief flooded Seth when he received a reply, and he splashed forward feeling considerably more energized. He stopped momentarily to dunk his head in the water, a much needed action as it brought down his headache immensely, then he grabbed onto the life-pod. The floaters had been deployed, so he was able to turn the pod toward the shore and get a better look at its occupant. She was female, but no one he really recognized. Her suit suggested a different squadron, so he wasn't exactly surprised. "Are you hurt? What happened? Wait, hold on," and he went around the back of the pod. He braced his hands, placed them on the metallic surface, and pushed, guiding the vessel toward the beach until it groaned to a stop on the wet sand. "Alright, you're good!"

  • Lelia looked down upon the male, in a literal sense, as he made his face to her pod. She opened her mouth before being interrupted as the male started to push the little life raft towards the beach, and in result a tint of red touched her cheeks from the embarrassment. She wasn't scared to get a little wet, she just thought she was previously out in the middle of the ocean. She reluctantly got out of the pod, her heels sinking into the wet sand as she stood upon it, dusting herself off. "You didn't have to push the pod..." she muttered, almost irritated, "But.. thanks." she continued, trying to not be rude. If this was the only other survivor, they would have to learn to get along, and she was well aware of that. "I'm fine however, I'm not entirely sure what happened...". She took of few steps, sinking into the sand with each step and making an irritated face each time. "I just remember hearing something about a malfunction before everything turned red.." she muttered, referring to the evacuation.
