  • Today was another day- but certainly it was a good day! Lottie hadn't exactly spoken to Imperia before hand about this scenario, but she assumed the girl was already well aware of where her training had led. Jacob, too, she was especially proud of. He had started on the Medic Team so young; before he was really even apprentice age; and though he had grown up quite considerably since then (in the very literal sense), his knowledge was still continuing to expand and grow, and he had shown Lottie just how beneficial it could be to start training early. They both had their strengths and weaknesses, and overall, they had shown to be a wonderful, wonderful Medic Team. She was very proud of them both, and loved them all the same.

Lottie moved towards the center of camp, a dorky little smile on her face as she turned to face the BlizzardClan Camp, comfortably settling herself down with her tail over her paws. She had already spoken to Sweets about this beforehand, and her judgements had not changed. "BlizzardClan! Please gather for some Medic Team announcements."

Approaching in silence, Sweetophelia took a seat, her pale tail draping neatly over her paws as she looked over to the Head Medic, waiting patiently for the other BlizzardClanners to assemble and hear her announcement.

  • Jerseyboy perked his ears at the mention of a medic team announcement. None of this stuff interested him, honestly. All of his friends were on the team, though. Jacob and Imperia were in training and Lottie was at the head. The tuxedo tom didn't move far from his position, figuring that he could just watch from where he was sitting now.

  • Chesspieces hadn't realized there were medics in BlizzardClan until one had come to Navigator's rescue when he had collapsed on the bridge between two of the islands. He had seen Imperia since then but it wasn't like to openly announced she was a medic. Perhaps it was because they weren't often needed. Since his time in BlizzardClan, Navigator's case had been the only one he knew that a medic had came to the rescue. That left Chesspieces pondering how the head of the field decided who would join the team. With such questions racing through his mind, Chesspieces made his way over. He took a seat beside Doug, neatly wrapping his tail around his paws and then turned his attention to Lottie.

  • ★ ★ ★emmaline took a seat near doug, curious as to what the leader and medic team had to announce. it was rather odd, as they had just had a meeting. the serval figured that this meant it was important. so, she gazed on, waiting to hear the news.

Jacob would make his way over, glancing around to see if Imperia had arrived yet. He felt anxiousness picking at him. He knew Lottie didn't blame him for not finding anything for his Dad but he felt awful about it. What if she didn't want him to be her apprentice anymore because he didn't know how to make his Dad better? He felt his heart pounding in his chest but he would sit down and wait to hear what Lottie wanted to say.

  • IF YOU LOVE ME RIGHT BACK, I COULD BE ANYTHING

Shortly after Jacob's arrival, the slender figure of young Miss Arceneau emerged through the gathering bodies, bobbing and weaving through the crowd in order to find her desired place to sit. Initially, she spotted Jerseyboy and almost decided to situate herself beside him, but quickly thought against it. After how rude she had been to him? No, that would be much too awkward, even if she desired to try and make amends. Now was not the time for that sort of thing. Instead, the she-wolf chose a place near Jacob, pressing against his side in an affectionate manner. She was just as anxious as the boy, really. Reason told her that everything was fine and she was doing a good job as Iselotta's apprentice, but she could not silence the nagging feeling that it simply was not enough. Chewing on her bottom lip, Peri simply wished to get the whole thing over with--she was not particularly fond of waiting to hear her fate.

  • Pierce had always held a certain respect for medics. They were essential parts of clan life, considering how often people seemed to get hurt, and they had so much responsibility on their shoulders. Their jobs were stressful, he was sure, and there was so much they had to learn about herbs and other medication - if they chose even one incorrect plant or medicine to treat someone with, they could kill them. Then, there were always the patients they had that they couldn't save. How painful could watching the life drain from one's eyes be, knowing you could (or couldn't) have done anything about it? He knew for a fact that he was much too weak to ever take up a job like that. While they got to help people, they also had to face so many tragedies. At the sound of Lottie's call, the serval's ears lifted forward and he headed over, taking a seat near the edge of the crowd. He assumed this was probably some sort of promotion - most likely one or both of Imperia and Jacob's, though possibly she was selecting a Medic Trainee as well. Curiosity evident within his large eyes, Pierce waited to hear what the pale-furred feline had to say.

  • The deputy padded over, interested; his purple eyes scanned the scene. What was the femme to announce? He wondered what it was going to be. He didn't like being near the medics at times; it brought painful memories of Eggpaw, his former lover. However, he had to support those close to him, so for now he'd listen in.

  • //tl;dr at bottom since this is kinda a lot

As the crowds began to gather, and her Trainees joined the group, Lottie began to speak up. It was likely that even if a few stragglers came in late, they'd be in time for the announcements. "As you all know, I have had Imperia and Jacob under my wing for quite some time now. I am equally proud of them both. I cannot find the words to say how joyous it has been to work alongside them all of these months, and how wonderful it has been to watch them grow in their journey as Medics. This entire announcement today will be rather long winded- but bear with me. I feel though as if recognition is in order.

Jacob- your skills in herbal medicines have continued to amaze me. You started training with me at a very young age, and since then, I have watched you become more confident; I have watched your compassion for others grow, despite your hardships, and you have shown to be a friend to BlizzardClanners. I would like to thank you for all of your hard work. You continue to make me proud every single day, and you always make every day of work brighter. You are still young, and you have your whole life ahead of you- already with a Cleric title under your belt- but I know for certain that some day soon, you will be a wonderful Medic to BlizzardClan, and that the future holds nothing but wonderful things for you." Though this wasn't a promotion for Jacob yet, due to age alone, Lottie was beyond proud of just how much he had learned. Everything that she had said was true in her mind- he was so bright and smart, and he never failed to amaze. He was wonderful to have around.

"Imperia, you have been working with me equally as long, and though situations that we go through can be scary and intimidating at times, you show compassion and certainty in the face of danger. You have shown to be able to calm others, and reassure them when the time is dire. You have always done your best to give one-hundred and ten percent, and your ability as a Medic has only grown since the day you first joined the Medic Team. You have always continued to amaze me and impress me in what you do, and I am very proud of what you have accomplished, Imperia. You have such a big heart for the people around you, and I know I will only be amazed at what you can accomplish in the future."

Lottie gave a pause briefly as she took in a breath, and lifted her head to adress the rest of the crowd. "BlizzardClanners, I know Imperia's skills will serve you all well. Her knowledge in her healing arts is nothing to be deined." Lottie smiled brightly, searching the crowd briefly for the faces of her Trainees. "Today, I would like to recognize Imperia as a full Medic of BlizzardClan. Congratulations, Imperia. Thank you for your hard work."

Lottie gave the crowd a few minutes to give their congratulations, with a similarly happy smile still painted across her maw, and waiting to see the reaction on her Trainee's faces before she dipped her head gently before continuing on, however briefly.

"Imperia, in recognition of your promotion, and the advancement of both of your skills, I would like you to host a Medic Training thread this week alongside Jacob while I'm gone. I also ask that you keep an eye out for new Medic Trainees in this. You two are the future of BlizzardClan Medics, and are already a very strong team. I would like to see what you two can accomplish together." Though, as it were, Jacob and Imperia had complimentary skills, and they both got along very well. It may have been a test for them both, of course, to see how they would fare without her, but Lottie knew it would all go off without a hitch.

"So, if any of you have any interest in the Medic team, or in Medicine itself, that may be something to look out for this week. But, that's all I have to announce today. Thank you all very much for your attention."

Tl;dr: Imperia is promoted to Medic. Jacob and Imperia are praised for their hard work and their abilities <3 Imperia was tasked with hosting a Medic Training thread alongside Jacob for the Clan as well as searching for new medic trainees.

  • Even though the freshly-appointed paladin commander wanted nothing more than to escape to his forest hideaway to be alone for a few hours or days or just forever, Beck hung around the edges of the meeting, amber pupils flicking somewhat nervously towards the gathering crowd and their speaker. His ears twitched out of habit as he listened to Lottie praising Jacob and further going on to make Imperia a full medic. That was cool, but seeing as he was dead as a doornail, medics couldn't "heal" him to say, although could relieve some pain. Too bad the boy had developed a high pain tolerance. He could break a leg and the only thing that would tell him that "Hey, you broke your goddamn leg," would be that fact that he couldn't walk. Either way, he mumbled a congratulations to his "brother" (he still wasn't sure about that) and "sister" (again, uncertain) before slinking off into the shadows once again.

  • No Body Exists On Purpose

? ― Morty had arrived at the tail end of the announcements. The pup didn't know what was considered appropiate after the news of a promotion. He sorta just gave a small round of applause from the back. That was okay right?

  • for once, jaune was on time to hear an announcement. he wasn't exactly known for his punctuality — he last lost count of how many times he'd been late to these things — and so to see the skinny black-and-white tom appear at the front of the crowd was highly unusual. jaune was even a little surprised himself at how eager he'd been to attend this particular event; like jerseyboy, he didn't care much for announcements, and would skip them altogether if he could. this one, though, was different: this one was about imperia. ( he liked jacob very much also, but the silver-furred girl would always take precedence. ) at the sound of her name — he wondered if it had always sounded this songlike, or if his favorite name was even more pleasant than usual today — the tom was practically sprinting toward the crowd that iselotta had gathered. eager to find out what iselotta had in store for his beloved imperia and her sweet little brother, he'd wasted no time in finding a spot near the front, a few paces away from jerseyboy. his dull green gaze seemed to shine brighter as he rested it on her.

because he was early, he knew he'd have to wait for his less enthusiastic peers to arrive. jaune shuffled his paws impatiently as he awaited iselotta's remarks, his mind wandering. he knew imperia was passionate about her job, and that she'd been working hard toward a promotion. of course, he was sure jacob had been too, but he wasn't nearly as close to him. it was obvious that there would somebody would be becoming a full medic today, but he couldn't be sure which of the two. both, maybe... then again, jacob was rather young, as talented as he was. the she-wolf was nearly full-grown, now, and had proved herself time and time again to be the kind of healer blizzardclan needed; jaune decided then that his money was on her, pretending as if he hadn't been secretly rooting for her the whole time.

fortunately, iselotta didn't keep her crowd waiting very long. his black-tipped ears perked as he listened to the head medic confirm what he already knew to be true: imperia had been promoted to a full medic, and jacob had been commended for his work. his chest swelled with warmth; even if he wasn't the one being promoted, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. he knew that the girl had wanted this for a long time, and to see imperia happy made him happy. from his place in the crowd, he could see the way her sweet lips curled into a smile and her bright eyes sparkled at the sound of her name. quickly, jaune pushed through the crowd, mumbling sorrys and excuse mes as he went, and made his way towards her side.

"peri," he rumbled, his voice melting into a warm purr. "congratulations. you earned it," with that, he gingerly pressed his berry-pink nose into her gray fur, admiring how soft it felt against his muzzle; he reckoned he might want to spend the rest of his life buried in her silky pelt, but withdrew after a few moments. "you'll make a great medic... jacob will too, when he's ready." for good measure ( jaune was in a good mood, for once ) the black-and-white tom sent a smile in the younger boy's direction, before fixing his attention on imperia again.

  • That was a rather long winded announcement with not much substance, the kitsune would note as he quietly listened from the crowd. Or perhaps he was just used to his mother's blunt way of getting straight to the point of the meeting. So in essence, there was a new full medic and now they were searching for more trainees. Made enough sense. Hopefully, they'll get some trainees that would actually stay after they were promoted. He couldn't help but be disappointed in the ones who stepped down or just simply disappeared. But with these notes taken, the apprentice would then depart from the scene.

  • IF YOU LOVE ME RIGHT BACK, I COULD BE ANYTHING

If Imperia were not anxious before, she was certainly anxious now. While the girl most certainly appreciated hearing her respected mentor practically sing her praises, it also built up her anticipation and eagerness for the conclusion. Anyone with common sense would be able to predict where this was all leading: Imperia's eventual promotion. As proud as she was, some parts of her psyche still struggled to grasp the concept that she somehow managed to make anyone happy, or achieve something worthy of being proud. It has to be a joke, it whispered to her, somehow managing to make her feel upset in the midst of a rather long-winded compliment. The inner demon was right; best not to get her hopes up just yet.

Unsurprisingly, however, her name was announced as a fully graduated medic. Luminous silver orbs widened in shock, as if everybody and their brother had not been expecting those exact words. Perhaps low self-esteem was a "bad thing," but at least her expectations were so low that they were easily exceeded. "T-thank yo--um--merci beaucoup, Iselotta," she stammered, tripping over her own tongue in the midst of her joy. Speaking her gratitude en francais seemed to hold much more weight than a simple "thank you" in the common tongue. "Félicitations, Doudou," she gushed to Jacob, responding to the compulsion of needing to make sure that he knew how proud she was of him. In the midst of Harrison's disease and his own suffering, the boy had managed to acheive great things. Imperia was prepared to say something more when she was interrupted by another creature.

"Jaune," hummed the newly promoted medic, voice warm with affection. He had no idea how much it meant to her for him to be praising her like this. He had accomplished so much in her life, and as a person whom she both loved and respected, his words held much weight. "You flatter me," a nervous chuckle spilled from her lips, though a wide grin danced upon her lovely visage. She pulled him into a tight embrace, tucking his head beneath her chin and pulling him close. Imperia would never admit it, but it pleased her how much smaller Jaune was compared to her. He was so small and cute, like a teddy bear.

  • The tuxedo tom kept his eyes trained on Lottie as she made her announcements. She made quite the damn speech, but the basic gist of it was that her medic team was doing a good job. Jacob hadn't been promoted, but he supposed that was understandable. He was a still a kid, but it's not like he had that much to learn. Pretty much every time Jerseyboy had come across Jacob, he had been studying his ass off or sorting the medicines (or whatever medics did).

There was indeed a promotion, though, and it was none other than Imperia. Jerseyboy couldn't say that he was surprised, as she had been working her butt off for as long as he could remember. Once Lottie had concluded the announcements, he instantly felt the need to jog up to her and bump her shoulder, y'know, act friendly with her. Joke about how they should share a congratulatory drink. Smile and just... celebrate the moment like anyone else would. He didn't have it in him, though. Things had been tense as of late. All the tom could do was watch on as Imperia flashed that sheepish smile of hers, though he knew that she was genuinely happy about her promotion. For a milliesecond, Jerseyboy could feel a smile drawing onto his features, purely just by watching Imperia's reaction.

    His stomach sank.

Someone else had come along to congratulate her. Jaune. In this moment, he almost felt inferior, which frustrated the usually dominating tom to no end. They were close, they had a history, he probably knew Imperia much better than he ever would. Was there a chance that she felt-- god, who knew what was going on in that mind of hers?

Jerseyboy watched the two friends relish in the moment and he found himself staring, burning into the two. He was being way too friendly for Jersey's liking, and he felt his fur start to prickle. Then, he caught himself. What the hell was he doing? Why was he feeling so protective? And for what, thinking that two friends could possibly be something more? God, what was he, a lovesick idiot? Stupido.

The tom finally got to his paws and turned away from them, instead choosing to approach Jacob. He was his little brother, after all, and he had also been mentioned in he announcements. "Not bad, kid." Jersey said, aiming to bump his side gently. Though he tried to focus on what was happening in the moment, it was vaguely hidden in his green eyes that his mind was elsewhere. Soon, he found himself briefly glancing towards Jaune and Imperia again, his smile slightly faltering.

  • Having a designated medic team was such a controversial topic to Rajahcrowns - a subject which he struggled with when it came to liking or disliking the concept. Of course there had to be medics of some sort, or people with herbal knowledge in case if anyone got sick or during times of war, but yet the tiger felt like he couldn't trust his life in the paws of others. What if a medic was improperly trained and didn't know what they were doing? Hopefully Raj wouldn't end up getting hurt or else he'd have to trust them a little bit, and he really didn't want to. He wasn't invincible though, so it wasn't likely that his wishes would come true. So they were on the lookout for new medic team members? He could only hope that whoever they chose had their heads screwed on right. The tiger just sat and nodded, not really interested in trying out for a position or anything, but it was good to know what was going on.
