"Well it seems that we got his attention when we mentioned the Zapfish, so he has to know something. Maybe. And if he is crazy, we can just get the hell out."

“If you say so...” She shuddered. “Sewers it is.”
-
He nods and gently holds her hand, checking if she is ok with it before walking.
-
Coral’s cheeks pinkened, but she said nothing, only staring straight ahead and trying to focus on the mission at hand.
The sewer pipe actually wasn’t a sewer pipe, instead it was a pipe that lead to a secret location...
-
He walks over to it with her. "Its... not a sewer, at least. You can hop in first. I'll follow you in."
-
“Okay...” she held her breath and hopped in, turning into a squid and slipping through the bars.
-
He does the same almost right after.
-
Coral landed on her feet, shaking a few droplets Of ink from her tentacles. She looke around. They had landed on a grate next to a small shack, in front of which the old inkling was standing, leaning on his cane. She perked.
-
He looks at the old man. "Hey. Whats your name?"
-
“Th-the-th— THE OCTARIANS ARE COMING!!” He yelled, frantically gripping his cane tightly and quivering, eyes large as saucers.
Coral yelped at the sudden yell, jumping backwards.
He cleared his throat. “I’m sorry. I lost my cool for a moment there ... ahem, to answer your question, Ahi...” he posed dramatically, at least as well as he could with a hunched back and having to lean on a cane. “I’m Cap’n Cuttlefish, legendary leader of the Squidbeak Splatoon!”
-
He looks confused on how he knew his name. "What? How did you know my name?"
-
“Oh, I was listening to your conversation for a little while!” He waves a hand dismissively. “Anyway... more importantly...” he glanced at the two, pulling on his beard. “You two are the only ones so far who’ve noticed the Great Zapfish’s missing.”
“What!?” She glanced at Ahi. “Seriously?? No one else?”
-
He looked suprised. "Yeah. Why is that? Its a big artifact."
-
“You’d be surprised how much people can miss when they’re not paying attention. Everyone else rushed to the battles, but you two were the only ones who stayed and watched.” He continued to stroke his beard. “The look in your eyes... I’ve been waiting for kids like you two.”
-
"Alright. Fair point about that I guess... and what exactly do you mean by you have been waiting for kids like us?" He looks confused
-
“Since you know about the zapfish, do you know how it left?” Coral asked, frowning.
“Oh yes!!! The octarians stole it!!” He gripped his cane tighter.
“You keep saying that... but that’s just legend, right?” Coral sweatdropped. “The octarians were just a fairy tale.”
-
"Yeah." He nods. "I thought they were as well"
-
“Not at all!! I was there, 100 years ago, when they attacked. And now, they’re coming back for revenge!! The Great Zapfish is only the first part of their plan...” he leaned forward, watching them. “Please, you two must help get it back!!”
-
He thinks for abit and turns to Coral. "I want to. Do you?"
-
“...sure?”
“Excellent!” Cuddlefish happily clapped his hands. “You shall be agents three and four of he New Squidbeak Splatoon.”
Suddenly, the two were wearing new outfits without explanation.
