  • Kai gave the dragon one last look, one that was sorrowful, but also angry. He just hoped the dragon got his shit together and called Akeme sometime this week. Of course, he expected this might take a few days, but hopefully it would solve itself

    ~~~~~ Next Saturday ~~~~~
    Damian dropped his bag of boxing equipment on the floor of his apartment, setting it with a hefty THUD. It had officially been a week since he had seen or heard Akeme's voice, seen her face, but she was constantly on his mind. Damian couldn't just stay hammered all the time, but he kept a steady buzz every moment, carrying a flask with him everywhere he went so he could top off if he got a headache. The apartment felt empty without Akeme, and Damian couldn't stay here all day and night, so he made sure to be out as much as possible. In this case, he was at the gym all day today and yesterday, pushing his body beyond its normal limits.
    He crumpled to the floor, completely drenched in sweat, feeling his muscles were exhausted. With a sigh, he pulled his phone out and clicked on his messages - one from Wednesday, to Akeme "Sorry, reaaaaally busy right now. Call you when I can <3" She had tried calling him, but he let it ring and ring and ring until it drowned his ears. He couldn't hear her voice right now, no matter how much he wanted to, but he knew he would feel intensely afraid if he did.
    He covered his eyes with his hands and groaned, wanting this tortured feeling to end so he could simply let her go, but he couldn't. He would be feeling this heartbreak for forever, and the only way to make it better was to call Akeme, or even see her. But he couldn't. He had to let her go and find someone else better than him, because he knew she would do it sooner or later. The more of the world she would see with him, the more she would see just how awful he truly was
  • It has been a week since Damian had taken her home, a whole week of nothing but diving deep into her mind of why he never seemed to contact her; a week of wondering around the temple, feeling as if the very joy she held in her heart was being sucked out by some odd force. She hated the feeling she had in her heart, as if the very fabric of her being was being swirled into a world of darkness. Akeme was having a hard time handling all of this really, she couldn't help but to wonder what she'd done wrong. She called him once before, a few days ago, but he didn't answer. The man only sent her a message instead, saying he was busy and that he'd call her later. Did he? Of course not. After that day things didn't seem to cheer her up at all, even if the small Pokémon wondering about tried to cheer her up; even her own mother couldn't get a single smile out of the young woman.
    Each day she'd practically mope about, head hung down and starting at the ground as she walked. Her eyes held dark circles under them, as she hadn't been sleeping very well; plagued with dreams about Damian... hating her. That would never happen, or that's what she kept telling herself at least. It was the only thing that got her out of bed in the morning, but even then the day would drag on the more the days went by. The small woman had honestly become quite depressed really, she hardly did anything; even go outside. When she did she just sat around in the garden, holding back tears while her mind wondered to Damian. The small Sawsbuck hardly even ate as well, her body was starting to show signs of it. Ribs on her torso started to show a bit more than usual, having been softly there before because of her petite body. Yet, even if something was standing far away, they'd be able to see them clearly as day. Though she's never allow that, as he made sure to keep covered. She didn't want Pemota to see her in such a way. What a disgrace to herself she'd become, hardly even taking care of herself as she should. How much longer would this go on? Did he leave her just so he wouldn't have to ever see her again? No, she couldn't think like that, but she couldn't help it. Good thing she was laying in her bed, door closed as the tears started to form in her eyes. A blank expression on her face hid what she was feeling from her mother, but conveyed the lack of any other feeling at that. As long as she didn't know what was happening, then things would be fine.
    Akeme wiped the tears away that spilled from her eye, sniffling softly as she sat herself up; a bit of aching in her body from the lack of care and food. It didn't matter, even if Damian never came back for her or talked to her; her own happiness she didn't care for. She'd be ok dying knowing if he was happy with his life. The girl looked at the phone that sat on the bed ever since she last tried to call, then she remembered about Kai; his friend who gave her his number. She needed someone to talk to and he sounded like the best person. So, she reached for the phone and shimmed for the card he gave her, soon dialing the number and letting it ring. If he didn't answer, oh well, she would just go back to laying there quietly; thinking to herself.
  • Kai was in the middle of lunch, nomming on a hamburger and some french fried while Akio sat right across from him at a table. Since he left Damian lying on the bed in his apartment he hadn't heard from the massive motherfucker, so as far as he was concerned, the man was still laying sick or he was patching things up with Akeme. Of course, he put his money on the former. He and Akio were just shootin the shit, trying to keep the heartbroken lovebirds off his mind, "Shit dude, Carol is one hell of a fiery redhead~ You shouldda seen her--" he paused as he felt his phone ring, "Oh hold on a sec, it might be her now~" he stuck his tongue out with a smile, taking out his phone. His face fell though, not recognizing the special number
    "Uhh... just gimme a sec dude, I'll get back to you," he stood up and walked out of the restaurant so he could talk in a quieter area. Just before the final ring, he answered, "Wassup, this is Kai~"
  • Akio was chowing down on some food as well, kind of just stuffing the shit into his face. He had a fast metabolism so eating was something he enjoyed doing, that and it didn't take long for him to be hungry again hours later. He ate all three major meals and between them as well. If he wasn't out drinking or doing anything else, you'd probably always see him with some kind of snack in hand. "Damn dude how are you so lucky in finding these kinky women? I NEVER get that fucking lucky dude," he gave the other man a teasing wink, raising a brow as he soon got a call, "oh yeah we- oh? Ok cool I'll be waiting here. Don't take too long you might not have food left when you get back!"
    Akeme was starting to feel a rush of anxiety take over her body, ring after ring and yet nothing yet. It only made her wonder if Damian told them not to talk to her, kind of like he'd been doing to her for the passed week. She felt a sting in her heart from it, soon feeling tears jerking their way up now. She payed herself onto her side and waited just a bit longer, right as the last ring was coming up someone answered. She recognized the voice without him even needed to say it, god how she wanted to just cry and spill her heart out to anyone; but she did her best to keep calm. "K...Kai, it's me, Akeme," her voice was shaky and a bit weak at that, like she didn't have the energy to hardly talk, "h... how are you?"
  • Oh fuck
    Kai shook his head, his heart reaching out to the poor girl. He could hear that choking sound in her voice that sounded like she wanted to cry, or had been crying. That meant Damian still hadn't called her back and he was still being a massive douche to his girlfriend who loved him dearly.Come to think of it, there was one more option that Damian could have gone with to make her so upset, and that was straight breaking up with her. So help Damian, if he actually broke up with her, Kai would kick the ever living shit out of him and he was sure to get Akio's help with it. He didn't really know what to do in this sort of situation, or whether he should be open about Damian's internal struggles or not. So, stuck his head back in the building, trying to get Akio's attention to see if he'd come outside, "Hey Akeme, I'm fine. Something wrong? You... uh... you don't sound too hot."
  • The small woman practically curled herself in a fetal position in her bed, the sheets and blanket rustling under her small, weak body. What was she to say? She could lie and say that she was fine, but she couldn't do a thing like that she didn't have that in her. Even if she did you could hear it in the sound of her voice, a soft sad whisper compared to the cheerful tone it usually was before. Yet she didn't want to just burst out and say what was on her mind, not in the beginning at least. Kai was probably out and about, she wouldn't want to cry on the phone while he was in public. She in not way wanted to embarrass the man. "I'm glad you're doing ok," she spoke meekly, "me? I... I could be doing better... a lot better honestly. I haven't felt great for a while now really, it feels... awful."
  • It seemed both of them were playing the liar's game - Kai felt fucking awful for being in the know about the whole situation, although he could barely come to understanding what she thought was going on. He didn't envy her right now, she must be heartbroken, "Oh shit... I'm sorry Akeme.. What's wrong? Are you sick? Or maybe something happened between you and Damian?" he tried one more time to get the Lucario's attention, waving his hand more furiously - he could use some backup with this one, not sure what he should be saying
  • Akio looked up from his food confusing to see Kai waving at him to get his attention, of which he instantly got up and headed his way; taking a few fries to much with him. At the mention of her boyfriend's name she practically tensed up, her eyes threatening to start spilling tears down her face now. She sniffles softly as she tried holding them back, succeeding for the time being. "I suppose I am a bit sick, but it's not the main thing really," unlike Damian she was fine with letting her heart out, "something did happen but... I've no idea what though. He told men last Saturday he had interviews all weekend and he wouldn't have time to be with me, which I could understand. Since then though... I haven't heard a word from him. I tried to call it he never answered, only leaving me a message saying he'd call me later..... but he never did. I.. I don't know what I did wrong." It was at this point the the tears finally broke the barrier she was trying to keep up, tears almost streamed down her face now.
    Akio came walking up by Kai now, nibbling on fry after fry. "What's up?" he said with a mouth full of fry, "something wrong dude? Our food is gonna get cold man."
  • Kai put a hand over his face then pinched the bridge of his nose, what a dense fuck Damian was. He put a hand over the phone mic then caught Akio up really quickly in a hushed voice, "It's Akeme. She's devastated, hasn't heard anything from Damian this week. Dumb fuck said he had interviews and was super busy but never called her back."
    He paused to put the phone on speaker now so both men could talk to her, "Hey Akeme, I got Akio with me now. I can't imagine why Damian wouldn't call you back, you know he's absolutely head over heels for you. The dense fuck is just too emotionally deficient to do anything, but I saw it in his eyes last week at the bar."
  • Akio's eyes went but for a moment when Kai explained what was going on, fucking Damian apparently was only thinking about himself in this whole situation; and not getting contact in a whole week? What the hell was he even thinking! Of course she was fucking devastated, poor thing probably thought she'd done something horribly wrong to deserve this kind of thing. He could only imagine the pain she must have been feeling the entire time, and he really didn't want to know how that felt either. The man sighed deeply and groaned, "fuck I knew the sick thing was a damn lie the whole time. He couldn't lie well enough to save his fucking soul, the asshole." His ears flattened against his head in an instant once he could hear the girl, poor thing was crying and her voice sounded so weak and strained.
    "Hey babe~ sorry about Damian being an ass, I hate hearing a girl cry," it was true, if there was one thing that got to him it was a woman crying. A lady should never cry because of the one she loves, a man should never cause this kind of pain in a lady ever.
    Akeme gave a little 'hi' between breaths of air, her body shaking lightly as she counties to cry; though not overly loud either. "I... I don't know, I feel like he's trying everything to avoid me, like I'm not with his time at all," she used her feee hand to wipe at her eyes, a stinging sensation casing a soft hiss of pain as he hand met the raw skin, "even if he doesn't want me anymore, I'd rather him tell me than ignoring me. I don't know what to do... my body feels so tired.."
  • Kai could hardly take it, and he could feel his chest sieze up, and he had to fight back the urge to cry as well. He coughed once, pounding his chest to loosen up, "Oh hun~ I really don't know what's up with the big dillhole, but I know he still wants to be with you. How could he not, you're the strongest, tiniest woman I think I ever known! Finishing move, remember?" he tried to lighten the mood a little, not sure if it was actually working, "Tell ya what, both me and Akio are gonna see what's up with him, sound good?"
  • "Yeah! There's no way he'd ever want to leave you, you're too cute for that shit babe~ not to mention you're the only woman that actually is able to put up with his shit, even me and Kai get tired of him!" He chuckled lightly, "no need to cry babe, maybe he's still busy. Like Kai said, we'll go see what's up with him ok? You hold on a while longer and dry up those eyes. A girl so beautiful shouldn't cry," Akio grinned softly to himself, he may not be the big muscular dude a lot of women went for, though he was toned and had nice muscular mass; he was easy to talk to at least and hopefully that was enough to lift her spirits off the ground.
    Akeme sniffles more now, her sobbing slowing down as she listened to the two of them speak. Though she still felt the pain in her heart, she couldn't help but let out a half-hearted chuckle at their words. It helped, if only just a little. "T.. thank you guys, I don't know what'd I'd do if I went longer without speaking to someone. I'll... talk to you guys later then... bye." With that she hit the end button, hanging up the phone on the two of them. The girl grabbed her blanket, a few tears still falling from her eyes, and covered herself up. In not time her weak little body allowed her to pass out, into a deep sleep.
  • Kai smiled softly as he heard her gentle chuckle, though he could tell her heart was still broken and shattered into a million pieces. He was just glad the two of them could be there for her, though he wondered why she didn't call any sooner if she was feeling so awful, "Talk to you later tiny lady," the call ended and he saved her number in hos phone
    The look in his eyes went from charmind happy-go-lucky guy that wanted to make a tiny woman smile, to a dark and murderous look, "I'm gonna fucking murder that dragon douche the moment I see him. I knew Damian was a fucking asshole, but I didn't think he's straight ignore his girlfriend because of how big a pissbaby he was. This is unacceptable, and I can't just sit by and watch him fuck with this girl's heart and ruin possibly the only chance he has at a happy relationship - one he doesn't fucking deserve at this point." Kai didn't get this serious often, even when he was in the boxing ring, but right now he looked like he actually wanted to murder Damian for hurting Akeme
  • Akio's ears perked up right away seeing the look on his friend's face, the fury he held in those eyes; he couldn't help but to grin devilishly as he spoke about Damian. Sometimes these two weren't always on the exact same page, but he knew exactly what Kai was wanting to do. Akio wanted to do so as well, for causing a poor woman such pain for being an asshole; for ignoring the only woman who would ever love him as much as Akeme did. He could feel the heat rising up in his chest now, one of his hands punching into his other open palm. "I say we go pay this asshole a visit~ I mean, we haven't heard from him in a week so why not go see how he's doing, maybe give him a hands on lesson of why you don't mess with a girl's emotions~ he might be big and strong, but I don't think he'd stand a hanger against the then two of us," the grin on his face grew even wider now, "maybe it'll knock some sense into him, or we can hope~ hell, we won't even give him a warning we're coming!"
  • Kai's face lit up in a dangerous grin, a glint in his eye shown his exact intentions of what he wanted to do to the man, "Bastard won't even see what's coming to him~ I say we go now, I'm sure he's still home wallowing in his own self pity." he turned, heading for where he parked his car. Lucky for them the restaurant was one of those fast-food pay before you eat places, otherwise it would've been a quick dine and dash. Still, he didn't care, he was just ready to kick Damian's huge scaly ass
  • "Now was what I was thinking as well, go when we're freshly pissed off~ perhfecy way to get out some anger don't you think? God I haven't felt this happy about going to kick anyone's ass in my life! Damian has it fucking coming and there's nothing he can do about it either~" he gave one more grin before the two of them made it to Kai's car. In no time they were in and driving off towards Damian's place. The ride was a bit silent in a way, but both the men had the same thing in their mind; making Damian pay for what he was doing to the only good relationship he's ever had. Make him physically feel what Akeme had been feeling this entire time. Wondering if it was her fault or if she had done something wrong. It wasn't her fault, it never had been, it was all Damian and his dumb emotional shit. Fucker was gonna get the sense knocked into him one way or another, there was no doubt about that.
    Eventually the two stopped outside the building, once parked they exited and made their way up the stairs. An easy less nosy way to get about, that stood elevator like to ring. In a matter of minutes they were at his door. The door may have been locked, so Akio knocked and waited for him to open it; saying not a word.
  • Damian hadn't moved from his spot on the floor, feeling so incredibly sore and tired that he didn't even want to move. That was until he heard a knock at the door and he groaned, "Coming..." He rolled over and pushed himself to his feet, walking over to the door and peeking through the hole - just Kai and Akio, no biggie. He Opened the door an--
    IMMEDIATE PUNCH TO THE NOSE
    Damian growled as he took a big step back, clutching his face that was starting to bleed, "What the f--!!"
    ANOTHER PUNCH - A HARD UPPERCUT TO THE STOMACH
    "HEY DAMIAN, THE FUCK IS UP??!" Kai shouted at the man as he crumpled in pain, "Why the fuck haven't you called your girlfriend?!?! Whyyy haven'tttt you calllled your girlfriendddd?????"
    Damian just crumpled to his knees, his body not in the place to take physical pain, "Fuuuccckkk dudeee....."
  • Akio totally saw that coming, the reason why there was no forewarning the man they were coming; their voices may have given it away they had something planned anyway. The man practically jumped in the air, pretty syked about seeing Damian get punch in the nose, then in his stomach soon afterward. He was in his knees now, of course he would be he got punched in the gut, but he had that coming like you wouldn't believe. "Whoooooa damn son that was fucking boss as shit!" the smaller man walked over to Damian now, his eyes looking down at him with a grin to end all grins, "you're our friend and all Damain, but you had this coming. I can't believe you womanly even THINK about calling your girlfriend... and she called you and you sent a TEXT? How fucking stupid are you!!?"
    The younger man walked around him once before giving him a hard kick in his side. Sure, you never kick a man when he was down, but this was for different reasons; and all of them were good ones as well. "Have you ever heard her cry yet? Because boy I tell you, it's the most heart wrenching thing I've ever heard~ and all those years over you~"
  • Damain didn't even fight back with them, he didn't get up or crawl away, he just huddled there and took the pain and suffering his friends were inflicting upon him, "Fuccckkkkkk......." he groaned, wincing and bleeding from his face
    Kai reeled back and launched his Fist on the other man's back, "You dense, selfish son of a bitch! You're avoiding that perfect woman and you're breaking her heart! You know what she did? She called me 20 minutes ago crying her FUCKING EYES OUT because she thinks you're throwing her in the trash! Do you ENJOY making her miserable? Do you ENJOY being in pain? DO YOU????"
    Damian slumped completely prone to the floor, "No....." he whimpered
  • Akio watched as the man huddled there on the floor, taking what was being given to him. It was probably for the best, if he had tried to crawl away or get up they'd just knock him down again; where he needed to be. Perhaps he needed to be knocked down a bit, so perhaps he can raise himself out of whatever the fuck is happening with him and do the right thing. He was happy with Akeme and anyone that knew Damian could see that, even the two guys beating on him now. It's why they were doing it, they hated to see him throw something so good away because he couldn't realize within himself that he loved her; or that he needed to tell her so so he wouldn't lose her. The more he let this little thing go on, the more he couldn't help but to wonder how that sweet little deer would be. She sounded awful in just the sound of her voice, it was weak and hush; like she hadn't been taking proper care of herself. Unlike her, Damian seemed mostly fine in the physical manner. They knew he was struggling with his feelings but for fuck's sake, he needed a push in the right direction and this was all they could really come up with to deal with such a situation.
    "No? Are you even sure about that? Because it seems like you do enjoy being in pain..." he frowned from anger, allowing his foot to take another kick into the man's side, this one a little bit harder than the last, "this entire FUCKING week you haven't once talked to her, other than sending a stupid little message. How was that suppose to make her feel? Was it a way for you to avoid her call? Another excuse for you not to hear her voice, or even see her face? At this point I'm more worried about her than I am you. You are still going about your week doing this and that and keeping yourself consumed in alcohol to keep by. Her... I don't even think she's even been taking care of herself like she should be. He voice was so strained, so weak, like she hadn't the energy to even get out of bed anymore. ALL BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR SELFISH FUCKING WAYS! This is no fucking way to live... for you or for her. If she was mind. commitment issues or not.. I would NEVER let her go..." The younger man growled now, more animalistic than anything else; large fangs baring down at the man on the floor. Akio gave him another hard kick to the side, then once again as well. Unlike Kai, he didn't want to dirty his hands with a piece of shit like this. Though he was his friend he couldn't bare to even look at him really.
