*The Pack of Two Worlds* Wolf Shape-shifting Pack Sign Ups! (OPEN)

"Don't be afraid... I'm not going to hurt you. I understand how scared you are now, but everything will be explained in due time. First order of business... who is this strange girl and why is she talking to me? I'm Midnight, alpha female to the Pack of Two Worlds. I know, I know... I look like a human. But, I'm like you. You're still young and I can see this is your first time shifting. Let me explain what you are. We are wolf shape-shifters. No, not werewolves. We can shift back and forth into a full wolf and full human form at anytime.

The cause of it? Well, you know about the illegal secret experiments scientists all over the world were doing. As you know, the areas around the labs got hit with a strange radioactive material that affected some people, and not others. Those unlucky few turned into monsters and with no known cure had to be exterminated. But, not all were found out. The ones who survived are like us: shape shifters. Yes, that means there are not just wolf shape shifters. Since this happened quite a while ago, some have even reproduced and their offspring fascinatingly inherit the shape shifter side, even despite there being no genetic code. The strange thing about the whole thing is that to this day, shape shifters are still being created. They usually don't even find out until around teenage years when they shift for the first time. See? You're not alone. There are more like you.

So what is the Pack of Two Worlds? Well, wolves are pack animals. Soon after this happened, a few of my ancestors started the pack for the wolf shape shifters. We can't stick too long in human form and there needed to be an organized group that worked like a regular wolf pack so we could hide in plain sight.

The pack is now more important than ever because hunters have been pushing past their allowed hunting territory to the west and keep pushing closer and closer to the heart of our territory. Our main goal currently is to find out their reasoning, find traps they have placed around the territory and destroy them, and drive them back.

"So, here is how our pack is set up:

-Alphas: There are two, a male and female who are a mated/married pair. They are a mated pair and run the pack. They are also in charge of finding new shifters and bringing them into the pack. In doing this, they protect the secret of the shifters and teach others to hide it.

-Beta: One male and one female (not always mates) who are the second in command. Since the Alphas are usually gone a lot finding new shifters, they also have many opportunities to lead the pack. The male Beta is in charge of the Fighters and the female is in charge of the hunters. If the Alphas die without an Heir or the Heir and Alphas are killed, the Betas become the new Alphas then pick the top male and female from the Hunters/Fighters to become the Betas.

-Heir: The Alphas' lone pup that was chosen. What that means is only one pup out of all of the Alphas' pups will have the ability to sense shape shifters without seeing them shift. That one becomes the Heir. The other pups become just regular members of the pack.

-The Elites: Special wolves with some sort of Alpha lineage that can sense shape shifters without seeing them actually shift. They are talented in both fighting and hunting and are some of the strongest wolves of the pack. (Not all wolves can sense the shape shifters, so these are special wolves. They are the Alphas' 'elite force' that goes with them and helps them look for shape shifters. They can also strangely teach their mates how to sense the shifters too, but only their mates. This is how the mate of the Alpha from the long bloodline of Alphas can sense shifters.)

-Healer: One female that is the 'doctor' of the group. She may have pups and a mate as long as they don't interfere with her work. She may take one female pup as an apprentice if they show talent.

-Scout: One male that adventures past the pack's territory and tries to befriend other packs (pure wolf or shape shifter) and find new land for the pack. He may have a mate as long as it doesn't interfere with his work. He may take one male pup as an apprentice if they show promise.

-Fighter: Normal ranked members of the pack who's job is to protect the rest of the pack from attacks. They also take care of border patrols.

-Hunter: Normal ranked members of the pack who's job it is to hunt. Since both the human and wolf half have to have food, they hunt game for the wolf sides and find human food for the human sides of everyone in the pack. They are constantly out and they take shifts. When they are on their break from hunting, they are expected to help the new wolves with human matters if needed (find them a living space, job, stuff like that.)

-Omegas: Three wolves that are the peace keepers of the pack. All they have to do is make sure everything goes smoothly for everyone else. If any of the other ranks need help, the Omegas are expected to help them.

-Mother: A wolf expecting pups. While they are excused from their normal duties, they are expected to manage the pups of the pack even if they are not their own.

-Pups: Young wolves not yet done with training. They are expected to choose either Hunter or Fighter when they are old enough and train with the rest of the experienced shifters until they are promoted by one of the Alphas. When they are not training, their job is to clean around camp. While their human names are given at birth, when they promote from pup one of the Alphas give the pup their wolf name."

"Whew! That was a lot! I apologize, there's a lot to know. Well, before I get to the boring part about the rules and your membership form, here are the shifters in our pack currently. Oh, also while you have a human name, if you are something other than a pup you have a wolf name that an Alpha in the past has given you. We usually try to get the wolf names as close as we can to human names, unless it's impossible."

"Okay, I know this part is the worst, but pack law must be enforced. So:

-Alpha word is law

-NEVER EVER reveal the shifter secret to anyone. That could mean extermination for everyone.

-You must inform someone if you are shifting to human or wolf form before doing so. Just so we can keep track of everyone.

-Mothers eat first, then Alphas, then the Heir, then Betas, then The Elites, then the pups, then the Healer and Scout, then the Hunters and Fighters, then last the Omegas.

-The pack keeps their ranks even in human form. If a higher rank asks you to do something as a human, you are still expected to obey.

-There are other shape shifters, but they rarely communicate with the pack. If they do, make sure to treat them with kindness. We need them as allies and they can easily expose us if angered. (Not accepting forms for other shifters besides wolves)

-No fights. This is for fun and we want to keep it that way.

-Minimal swearing is allowed, but don't go crazy with it.

-I'm not going to accept magical pink fairy wolves that can fly. I'm just looking for normal wolves here.

-What is your favorite wolf fur color? Put it in the Other section of one of your forms.

"Welcome, welcome to our pack! Since you're officially one of us now, let me show you around our camp:

This is the main camp. You have to remember since we can turn into humans, and most do to sleep protected in towns, we don't need that big of a space. Just one that is concealed good. Most of our camp life happens under the rockface (the space is way taller than it looks). It is warm in the winters and cool in the summers. The rocks outside are when we need meetings. The Alphas stand on them so they can overlook the pack. When not used for meetings, that's where a lot of the wolves relax.

Just in case for emergencies or for shifters not able to control their powers enough to be seen in public, we have dens. This one is for the Alphas, Betas, and the Heir. It is located to the left of the main camp. It's bigger than it looks.

The other side of the main camp. We have rocks on the inside dividing the cave into two sections with a little walkway to move in between the two parts. This is where the Hunters and Fighters sleep.

A hole on the edge of the treeline where we store any extra food. We usually don't have extra food though and the pups make it their 'secret den' and play around in it in their free time.

The Healer's den. It's right next to the hole where we store extra food. It is way bigger on the inside than it looks, storing medical (natural and human made) materials and the sleeping quarters of the Healer. The Scout also shares a space in the den for his sleeping quarters.

This is the Elites' den. It is in a secluded area behind the Healer's den.

The top den is the Mother and pups' den. Again, it looks really small but actually very large on the inside. The bottom one is the Omegas' den. It is a little more cramped than the others, but still comfortable. It is located just to the right of the main camp.

Most of our territory is covered in woods. Our main camp is in the heart of our territory. A town lays just on the edge in the south and just beyond that outside of our territory is an even bigger city. A stream runs through our territory and ends at the lake to the north. A large expanse of plains stretches into our border from the east and the mountains lie on our border to the west. The stream is shown below.

History:Even when she was just a pup she showed impressive talent with finding shifters and was immediately made into the Heir. Every time her mother would have pups after her, they would die at an early age and many older pack members called her bad luck. Midnight worked tirelessly to prove herself and she became talented in both hunting and fighting when she would go out with the Hunters and Fighters. The hunters started straying in nationally protected lands (where the pack's territory is) when Midnight was 18. None of the wolves knew about it until the late Alphas (Midnight's parents) were found in traps near the mountains on the west side of the territory. After their death, Midnight took over the pack right away and has proven herself a worthy Alpha.

Personality:Due to being blamed for everything when she was younger, Midnight can seem defensive and unforgiving. She is nice and polite to everyone despite their history or rank, but what makes her a good leader is her stern, confident, and no-nonsense way she runs the pack.

History: He had a pretty normal home life growing up and was very popular throughout his school career. He was a late shifter: shifting at age 17 for the first time. It was hard on him for when Midnight's parents found him and took him into the pack they forced him to give up his girlfriend, school, and friends (even though he got back together with his friends later). Due to him being older and still considered a 'pup' since he wasn't trained, Midnight's parents trained him themselves so that he may quickly start helping the pack. During this time, Eric and Midnight grew extremely close and they consider themselves sister and brother. After the late Alphas died, he started his work as a Fighter.

Personality: He is nice and kind to everyone he meets and will defend anyone, even if he doesn't know them. He seems sad a lot of the time, but that's because he constantly thinks of his life he left behind.

While she still had a pretty good life despite her being an orphan, as soon as she shifted for the first time and was welcomed into the pack, she left everything behind. She loves kids and while she was a Hunter for a little bit, one of the Elites brought in a young shifter, one of the youngest who had shifted at 10. The girl, named Sophie, would have to train for about five years before becoming a member and needed a Mother to look after her. Misty volunteered to adopt her and became a Mother in the ranks so she would be able to watch her. It has been ayear s ince then and Misty has decided even after Sophie gets promoted she wants to be in a permanent Mother spot. She is constantly at camp, so she is almost like the care-taker while everyone else is gone.

Personality: Very motherly. She is sweet and kind to everyone she meets and is like the 'mom' of camp, even if most of the others are around her age. If an orphaned pup comes into camp, she will immediately raise the pup as if it were her own, even though she won't officially adopt them like she did Sophie.

Personality: A little bit stubborn and rebellious, but sweet and funny. She gets along with most anyone she meets. She sometimes uses the fact she's a pup to her advantage, though.

History: He was born to two shifters who left him at the pack when he was 15 and left to join another pack. His older sister Violet had always been their favorite and took her with them. He desperately wants to prove to people he has worth because of this, so he is very talented and is even one of the rare shifters who can sense others. One day (when he was 21) he was looking for new shifters and he found a girl named Juliet that was his age. She was not talented with her powers and needed extra training. Everyone gave up on her easily, but Eren was the one who patiently kept training her. The two soon fell in love with each other and were planning to become mates when she was diagnosed with a disease where she was quickly dying from. She didn't want to have the pack experience her dying, so she went off on her own one night without telling Eren. He was heartbroken and has not been the same since her leave.

What no one knows yet is she survived but was forced into another pack, so she might come back somewhere in the RP

Personality: Before Juliet left, he was stand-offish and very serious, but he gave out small smiles to everyone constantly, was extremely patient, and an excellent teacher (he is very smart). After she left, the smiles vanished and he became angry and pretty much pushed himself away from the kindness of others. While he still taught many members of the pack, he became very strict and impatient, almost cruel at times.
