Snapper was groaning as he wrestled with Klaws' tail, jaw trembling as it fought to stay clamped around the other tail, the oil leakage from earlier almost choking the appendage.
"G-go to hell...!" Xavier lifted his claw and hand to grapple with Klaws once again, wincing as he began attempting to drag the other scorpion away once again.
"Damn it, you unloved single-clawed freak!" Klaws shifted his grip, trying to reposition each other to throw the other scorpion again.
Becky lifted her arm, wincing as she aimed her blast at the klaw that choked Xavier, firing.
Klaws flinched in sudden surprise to the shot, stepping away slightly with a soft grunt.
"Hrrg--" He winced before dropping to a crouch, getting quickly overwhelmed.
"I tire of these games...!" He wrapped his tail around Snapper, evoking a gurgle from its mouth before lifting him up, using his larger body and strength to still lift Xavier regardless.
"I've done what I came for!" He turned, lifting Xavier before dropping him on his head.
"Hrahh!"
Xavier grunted, hitting the ground as his grip loosened fully on Klaws as he hit the ground; Snapper gagging as he slammed into the floor as well.
"Hghh-"
Sticks launched herself at Klaws back, hissing and slamming her boomerang into it.
Klaws grunted and stumbled forward with a wince before turning, his claws clenching slightly.
"Fine...! I've done my part, anyway!" He dragged his tail along the ground and dug into the ground, before turning and beginning to storm off.
Zilver revved another spindash and launched himself forward, jumping and slamming into Klaws' back.
"Coward...!"
Becky scrambled to Xavier's side, eyes wide and trembling violently.
Sticks threw her boomerang at Klaws's head, yelling out.
Xavier winced with a weak groan, slumping against the ground.
Snapper was making weak, garbled noises as he flopped against the ground like a land-locked fish, the oil spewing from his mouth as well as damaged parts of the tail, panting desperately.
Klaws grunted and stumbled slightly at the boomerang, although managed to right himself as he continued running.
Becky weakly shook Xavier's arm, clearly panicking as tears began to well in her eyes.
Sticks stopped suddenly, helping as she stumbled and fell, grabbing her head.
"I... I-I'm ok..." He weakly smiled up to her, gritting his teeth in pain.
Zilver gritted his teeth with a sweatdrop, holding his arm slightly before looking over to Sticks, eye widening slightly.
"Y-ye ok...?"
Tears dripped down the black cat's face as she kept holding his shoulder tightly, ears pinned to her head.
Sticks grunted as she put a palm to her head. "Y-Yeah... Becky just screamed in my head..."
Xavier held her weakly, groaning quietly before looking up, watching the harpy plan to go after the other scorpion.
"A-Als, it's ok... l-let him go..."
Zilver slowly nodded with a weak eye, looking over to them slowly.
Becky's grip weakened in her relief, silent sobs shaking her frame.
Sticks grabbed her boomerang, gritting her teeth painfully as she put her other hand to her side, slowly standing.
He held her closely, wincing slightly before glancing to his tail; Snapper flopping and gasping about with an exhausted growl.
"Gahh... he sure didn't want to fall without a fight..." Zilver forced a chuckle, grunting quietly.
After a while, Becky managed to compose herself enough to sign to Xavier. "Are you okay?"
"Tell me about it." Sticks winced as she cracked her neck.
Xavier nodded with a weak smile.
"We... we should be ok... nothing a few repairs couldn't... couldn't patch up."
He glanced to Snapper who had gone quiet and still, eyes weakening.
Becky wiped her eyes with an arm, ears drooping as she sniffled before she continued to sign. "And Snapper?"
"I... I don't know..." Xavier's voice dropped "A-after his own shot went off in his mouth, my entire tail's been numb, I don't know how bad he's been..."
She sniffled, beginning to tremble again.
He reached up, weakly placing a hand on her shoulder.
"B-Becky, it'll be ok, w-we'll be ok..."
Als had silently floated back down, her arms crossing as she looked down to the floor in shame.
Becky didn't respond, only leaning into him once more and hiding her face in his shoulder, shuddering miserably.
