  • Plot: At a small high school there is a theater program that many students and staff love, everyone who preforms, creates and sees the performances can tell there is a lot of passion put into every single detail of a show. Y/C is one of the people who works back stage creating the sets and making sure everything is picture perfect and will add to the show as much as possible. They had just joined up in the crew this past year and lucky them their crush is one of the leads in this seasons performance. Their crush is Nicholas Bartell or Nico a charismatic, dorky actor who loves to play the role of others and wants to end up doing muh bigger shows end of his senior year. He isn't out t many people but does sometimes give off that gay feeling and he is pretty much clueless that y/c crushes on him. But for one thing he does have a secret only a few close friends now about him that he finds hard to share..

What could happen? Will the show they are working on go on without a problem? Will Nico and y/c start dating? Will the secret get out? (we can plot more if it's wanted)

IC - It was nearing the middle of senior year, the temperature was dropping, the leaves were turning their nice fall oranges, reds and yellows. Creating a calm atmosphere as the time for holidays was soon approaching as well as the time for the fall musical. After trying out and getting into shows the past two years Nico Bartell had thankfully got into this years fall play of RENT with the role of Roger Davis, the ex-junkie who is depressed over the death of his girl friend April. There is more to the character but for a small amount of infomation that was alright. He had been working increbibally hard to get this part even taking up guitar to improve his chances. Personally this was one of his favorite shows that he has had the ability to see, it is about the AIDs empidemic that swept the nation and how it effected a group of artists trying to make their way in the Bohemian Alphabet City of New York.

Today was the first day back to school after the characters and their actors had been released and everyone got to think about how they got to play this character effectivilty over the weekend. With the weekend over it was time to get to work, get his lines and help out around the tech crew. Even if he was just an actor for the play he also liked helping out the crew and seeing how everything was put together.

The school day was over at this point and all Nico had to do was make his way to the auditorium to get started. He was bubbling with excitement all day in his navy blue sweater and had been telling everyone how he got the part. The day had gone by as quick as ever and before he knew it he was in the theater with a few other buddies of his talking about who knows what.

  • Thanks

Alexander was first an artist, then everything else. He loved to paint mostly, but as required he explore many other forms; sculpting, piano, and even preforming on stage for a year. That quickly ended as he had terrible stage fright. Over the years his anxiety caused him to become very solitary at school and at home.

Managing to get by with being the good and quiet kid, he realized in high school that wasn't going to cut it. He grew out of his solitary, but was still incredibly awkward the only difference being he spoke before he thought. Creating a lot of uncomfortable situations in the future.

Alexander's love for art brought him very close to every style in the department, especially the theater group. Which lead to him falling for one of the most charismatic and attractive guys in the theater, Nico Bartell. His friends called it an obsession, Alex preferred the words admiration and attraction. Every year he had volunteered to be stage crew and one of the set designers. This year was different, Nico was one of the stars of the play and would be around very often.

Alexander was bursting for excitement, the play and all the roles were finally finalized. Today was going to be perfect, he'd go in greet everyone and then try to strike up a conversation with Nico. He was already rehearsing his hello in his mind. Making his way back stage he pushed down carts out of the way, one rolled all the way over to where Nico was standing. Jumping into action Alexander went after the cart, grabbing it just in time to only trip forwards and push it right into Bartello's back.

  • Nico had been busy talking with his few friends and fellow actors, busy with the excitement of the show and he was recieving congratutions for getting the part of Roger. He had no idea the 'danger' he was going to be in as the run away cart going straight at him. He was only paying attention to one of the girls speaking to him in a soft voice about how awesome the show will be with him in it. Hearing all the praise was amazing and he was hoping he could prove that he was going to be as good as everyone else was hoping he would be.

As he was about to start talking he felt a sharp jolt in his back that made him stumble and became slightly off balance. "What the heck?" He asked out loud as he regained his balance and turning around to see the cart and the other boy with his hands on it. The friends behind him snickered until Nico flashed them a kind of look as if to say 'come on don't do that'. Which helped them stop somewhat but not in full. Turning back to face the boy he wasn't sure how to even start saying anything. So rather then asking what he was thinking be pissed off he composed himself and asked, "Are you okay?" He had figured he wasn't meaning to hit him with a cart and back in the day when he was only in the tech crew before he started acting a lot.

Nico really didn't know who this guy was but he did look familar, he just wasn't sure where from. Maybe they had had a class together or it was because they were both into theatre or something like that that he would just see him around? But whatever it be he couldn't remember his name for the life of him.

  • Alexander quickly pulled the cart away from Nico as if it burned him. He looked up and felt his whole face go red when he heard the other people around them start to snicker.

The embarrassment overwhelming him he quickly tried to apologize "I'm so f*cking- didn't mean to- no I mean yes-" he kept cutting himself off as his words fumbled around in his brain, he could feel the groups gaze on his becoming much heavier as he continued. "I'm sorry for hitting you with the cart, and I didn't mean to curse sorry!" he said finally getting it out.

He knew he was red in the face, he could feel the heat practically radiating off of him. He could already imagine his friends laughing about this in the catwalks above them. "I-I'm fine, cause well I wasn't the one hit with the cart..." he trailed off feeling that he was starting to dig his grave. Staring at his hands which were still on the cart, eye contact would be too much at this point. He honestly just wanted to run away with his tail between his legs and accept that any chances with Nico were done for.

  • Nico felt bad for the guy that had been bsically reduced to a blushing, embarrassed mess. He wanted to help him out even if it was him that had been hurt by the other. "Hey dude I'm not a teacher. I don't care what so ever if you swear." He commented trying to calm him down at least a little bit. For someone who was so versed in acting Nico wasn't the best at calming down a person who was clearly freaking out right in front of him. He really didn't know how to.

He gave a small some what awkward chuckle at Alexanders next statement. Stretching his arm up to scatch the back of head, "Yeahh.. thats pretty true. but don't sweat it I'm fine too." He tried to tell him in a reassuring way. Sure his back hurt a little bit but it was nothing that was going to ruin his day over. His day was already pretty good so this was just a small inconvience that he'd be over in a little bit.

  • Alexander was trying not to panic and just crumble as he waited for an answer. He was relieved when Nico replied calmly and wasn't upset. He quickly nodded, thankful that his apology was accepted. "Okay, uh thank you" he said, his blush cooling down a bit. He glanced around for an escape rout. Noticing the west wing was clear, and started to pull the cart around. "I'm sorry again for the accident Nico, I'm going to leave before I make more of a fool of myself" he said as he quickly ran off completely committed to go lay in a ditch and over think the whole interaction and how much he screwed up.

  • He simply nodded to Alexander in some sort of agreement before he had run off, "Yeah man. It's all good. Good luck with those carts of yours." He told him in a positive note. Nico had found it a little weird how badly he wanted to get out of there but it was an understandable thing since the boy was probably embarrassed out of his mind for hitting him. As Alexander left his field of vision he turned back around to the group he had been talking to for the past half hour or so. A few of them let out the laughter they had held in for the most of the awkward interaction and some of them expressed their concern for Nico. Hoping that he wasn't to bent out of shape after taking that hit, which he reassured them it was nothing but a little bump in the grand scheme of things.

After some time had passed he looked down at his watch and found that it was time to start going home for the night. Slinging the old and worn backpack of his over his shoulders and holding the newly printed out script in hand he said his farewells to whoever was still here and left through the left stage door and walked down the west wing to the parking lot area to get in his moms old car that he was able to drive now.

  • Alexander was mortified when he dropped the cart off and ran back to his friends.

"Hello Director of Sets and Lights, what took you so long?" Lisa, a close friend of his asked.

Alexander instantly went off on a rant of how he hit Nico Bartell with a cart. He wouldn't shut up till the girl put her hand over his mouth.

"You are over reacting, from what I hear you think it's a bigger deal than he did" she said "I know you're going to be thinking about this all night, but please at least try not to paint everything grey and blue".

Alexander had down just that, thankfully he was wise enough to focus on the skies. At the end of the night he grabbed a coffee from the Cafeteria and another reassurance from Lisa before heading out to his car. He took a sip of his drink as he shuffled around his pockets looking for his keys.

  • ooc: I just thought of something, I'm not sure if it should be after the production or before but what if there was a party that was hosted at someones house and cast and crew was invited and Alexander and Nico got to interact a bit more at said parrty? I'm just not sure on the fact that if it should be a before kind of deal like "Hey! Lets all break a leg! and destress day before first show" orr "Heck yes!! We rocked the house! Lets party cause we gosh darn deserve it!!"

ic: Around the same time that the other boy had left the building Nico himself had just gotten to his car. The day had turned somewhat brisk as the weather was turning to fall and the leaves were beginning to turn their multiple colors. Instead of getting into his car he just stood there in the parking lot for a few moments watching the sun as it set and the wind blow through the leaves on the trees surrounding the parking lot. It made him happy how everything looked and how life was shaping up right in this moment.

After taking the last couple looks around the scene before him he got his keys out, fumbling with them slightly but finally got the door open. He threw his back pack in the backseat and shut the door ready to get out of there until the next day of school. Before he could leave he plugged his cell phone into the aux cord and put on a playlist so he could get in the mood and also just jam out on his way back. Once he was all good to go he pulled out and left. Never taking notice to Alexander if he was in the same parking lot or not. His mind was really only on the music coming through the speakers, out his rolled down windows and his eyes were also focused on the road. It was going to be a good rest of the day he figured.

  • Ooc: they are usually after parties, but I think for the sake of the plot we should have one before the show

Ic: Alexander looked up Ashe heard a car start to pull out. Instantly his attention snapped to the person in the vehicle, he looked at the car's color and model trying to remember it. He shook his head realizing he was starting to feel like a stalker. Pressing the button on his key he unlocked his car and tossed his bag into the car. Watching till the car disappeared, he finally got into his own car and started to drive off.

  • ooc: yeah i figured as such but ookayy i got this planned out now I'm going to time skip to a few days in the future. One of the other leads in the show is hosting it and is making Nico pass out invites to the crew and stuff to that effect while the friend takes care of the cast.

ic: The past couple of days had been what most people would call normal and that was the case for Nico as well, it was a stress-less week for him with minimal tests and assignments and for what he had recieved they had been practically free points to the grade book. All the stress he had to worry about was the fact that he had to work on his lines. Which he should be able to get down by the show so he wasn't to worried about it. Everything was going pretty good. He had hung out with his dear friend Katrina the day prior for nearly the whole day after school had concluded. She had gotten it in her mind that what they should do to kick off the season was throw at party at her place and invite everyone involved with the show, minus the teachers of course, and just have a rad time. So thats what was planned for this saturday, only two days away and Nico was hoping everything would go off with a hitch. Katrina had said something about another person who was planning on bringing alcohol but that wasn't to much of an interest to him, since he didn't do it often and when he did normally something went wrong but that was for another day.

Now to go on with the day the last bell rang and it was time for rehearsal as well as time to invite all of the kids of the crew while Katrina took care of the cast. The boy had practically skipped into the auditorium with a smile on his face. He really did love rehearsal and he was also so incredibly excited for this party. His unbuttoned grey flannel kind of fluttered around him with the amount he was moving around, his hair was falling over into his face but he was to busy talking to people from the crew letting them know about what was going down. Not everyone was going to be able to make it but that was going to be okay, it would still be fun regardless.

  • Alexander spent his first week gazing down at Nico from the catwalks and quickly ducking when ever he felt the boy was about to look up at him. Lisa described it as pining, he honestly couldn't argue after reading the definition on her phone. Of course he wasn't always able to sit around and watch his crush preform. He got a lot of things done with the rest of the crew he managed to get base ideas for all the sets and start on the lighting.

He was busy on his tablet looking at colors for paints when Lisa ran up to him.

"Guess who's inviting the whole theater to party?" She said in a singsong voice.

Alexander didn't even bother to look up "yea, Katrina I heard" he said "look getting drunk and partying isn't re-"

"Your boyfriend's going to be there" Lisa teased

Alexander almost dropped his phone and he looked up staring straight at Nico across from him. He spun around and quickly pushed Lisa away "SSSHHH! He's hear you, I've already embarrassed myself in front of him enough! I don't need your help" he hissed.

  • Nico had been to busy talking to someone regarding the details of Saturday night to hear what Lisa had told Alexander or the events happening after it but for one thing they were his next planned stop to tell since he hadn't gotten to them just yet. He was trying to make sure everyone knew about it and that as many people were coming as possible or until Katrina told him to stop because there would be to many people in her house. Since he never was told that he just simply continued as he was doing.

With a bounce in his step he turned around to go over to Lisa and Alexander about the party and deliver the exact lines he had been telling everyone else, "Hey guys! I'm assuming the news has already made its way over here buuut Katrina and I are holding a little party this saturday at her place and it wouuuld be absolutely amazing if you could make it! There'll be food and drinks and of course some pretty awesome music.. These have the majority of the infomation," He handed each of them a slip of paper that had things like the date, time, what to where, and so on as well as both his and Katrinas numbers. "You can rsvp or ask any questions you have regarding it to either me or Katrina! I hope you're able to make it!" He finshed in a cheery voice with a smile. There was something about his little speech that you could tell he had to have rehearsed it multiple times before handing out everything today. It was to near perfection with little to none mistakes and just had that scripted feel about it. Even though he had finished what he needed to say he still just stood there to hear their respondes and such.

  • Alexander looked up as Nico crossed the floor and stopped right in front of them. He did his best not to look to awkward of suspicious, "thanks" he said as he received the paper and glanced over the date and time, "I'll be sure to be there". He glanced over at Lisa who was now looking through her calandar on her phone.

Lisa pretended to look busy and discreetly moved her thumb right next to where Nico's number was written.

Alexander quickly looked away, a little less discreetly. He wanted to scold her on messing with his love life, if you could even call it that. Though he was a bit excited to finally have Nico's number, even if it wasn't the way he originally intended to get it.

  • Nico gave them both a big smile and said in a cheery voice, "Awesomeee~ I will see you there!" Before anything else was said he had turned away from the pair with a small wave and went around to the last couple people he needed to invite. All seemed to be going well and he finished his task with still enough time to finish up rehearsal with ease. He had to fix a few mistakes he had ended up doing but nonetheless got through it.

Afterwards he met up with Katrina to let her know how everything went since it seemed that basically everyone would end up coming from what they said minus a handful of people who either didn't like parties, who's parents wouldn't let them because they were only a freshman, had prior plans or some other reason that he couldn't quite remember. Whatever it may be it was still going to be a good party. Since rehearsal was over the two friends ended up leaving the school, arms linked together and they went to Nicos' car with a bounce in both of their steps for a day that had gone pretty well.

  • Alexander was estates and doing very little to hide it after Nico was out of view. He quickly typed Nico's number into his phone, but decided to wait to reply.

"This is good for you, you can finally ask out the guy of your dreams and you can stop pestering me with your moping" Lisa said

Alexander shook his head "I think I'll try and start out with friends first" he said "honestly, I don't even think he knows who I am".

"Well while you are thinking about that, how about start on ordering the paints and get to work" Lisa said and hurried off to help a few crew members who were wheeling in lights.

Alexander was glad for the distraction of work, it helped cool off his nerves. Though he felt his heart beat spike when ever he went near Nico. By the end of the night he had successfully avoided any social interaction with Nico.

Alexander pulled out his phone as he walked to the parking lot. He was considering RSVPing Nico now or wait till tomorrow. Quickly typing out a text before he could change his mind it read 'Hello this is Alexander Hart, I'm able to attend the party' he stared at it for about ten minutes before sending it. He stuffed the phone in his pocket had continued walking to his car, anticipating the reply.
