  • I'd say night since it makes sense in the movies c:

Bunny nodded gently "Your mother is probably the best person i've ever met..." She said sadly, purpously not mentioning that he was also good too. "I never thought to ask, but where is your papa? S-sorry if i'm being rude.." She added quickly, not wanting to appear rude or anything

I've also been reading too many werewolf books and have gathered my own bits and pieces from it

  • Ok, coolio!

I don't really have anything to go on when it comes to werebirds so I'm pretty much just winging it. (Pun not intended)

Ryland paused mid bite his gaze turning towards her, the sound of the kettle's high pitched wailing starting. He took a small moment to take the kettle off the eye and poured himself a cup, he mildly wished it were alcohol instead as he took a surprisingly dainty sip. "He's dead, probably. He was shot down by a group of hunters when we were out hunting one time." He tried to look nonchalant about it but it still affected him, his face twisting into something that one could compare to grief before it went back into his normal expression just as quick.

  • Bunny's ears lowered in sadness "Oh.. I'm sorry." She glanced away before saying gently "I wish my momma was like yours though.." She honestly did. She sat back down and stared away at the curtains, tilting her head in a little anger. "Sorry if it made you angry or sad.." why did she feel like this now? Was she getting weaker? She would ask Mistral later that day when she got up. "I'm going see if i can make breakfast." She said softly before walking into the kitchen, trying to figure out what to make. Wait. They had porridge or grits right? She knew one thing that her friends told her when visiting. Porridge are grist mixed with goat stuff. It was orange and flaky, maybe they had it? Maybe Ryland would know and help?

  • Ryland grunted as he took another sip of the tea, relishing as it burned his tounge. He was a bit heasitant to ask what Bunny's mother was like, considering how much she seemed to compare her with his mother -- but then againwo wouldn't compare thier mother to Mistral. He glanced up as her heard her announce that she was going to cook. As his eyes flicked up and and down her figure doubtfully over the lip of his cup, he was glad that the subject changed. "... What are you going to make?" Did she even know how to cook? Being a 'princess' and all he assumed that someone else did that sort of thing for her.

Oooh plot point(kind of), maybe after the bomb goes off, maybe a week or so Mistral could meet Bunny's mother (if she's still alive)

  • "What?" Ryland looked at her weirdly as he leaned back against the counter. He had no idea what she meant by orange goat flakes but it sounded gross as hell. "We have oats and things to make the porridge." He said after a moment of thought. Porridge was actually a good idea, since it was easy to prepare and quick to cook, not to mention versatile. "Speaking of the goats," He muttered moving to the window to peek from the curtians. He took a moment to take in the the still dreary and drenced looking surroundings before spotting it. The goat that ran off ended up returning to thier farm and was now grazing by the goat pen, most likey looking for his friend. He let out a sigh, knowing he was going to have to take care of the animals eventually. "Hey, I'm going to take care of the goats and such so I'll leave the breafast to you. --You won't burn down my house right?" He said pausing for a qyick second as he regarded her warily.

  • Bunny nodded and shrugged "Wait, what about the slippery yellow sticks?" She went to look for the porridge and pulled it out "And no, i won't burn down your house." She added reassuringly.

    Sorry, short post. I just lost my gak to a bed ;-;

  • Lol it's all good.

"You mean butter? If so then no." He said wondering how she knew about butter but didn't know what it was called. "..Do you even know how to make porridge?" He said, still heasitating. It wasn't like he didn't trust her but he hasn't seen her touch the stove since she was here. Maybe he should just stay to keep an eye on things?

  • "Other wolves in my pack told me about Porridge and how to make it and such... Basically everyone except me and my father... Father stayed so i wouldn't leave to go with the everyone else who could read..." She shrugged before standing up "But i have never cooked before, since we didn't see a need to. We usually ate deer and rabbit." She added setting the container down

*Sips tea* Lemme tell you somefin X3

I can burn water. But sometimes i can make awesome cheese grits. Creamy ones

  • "Ah, okay." So that confirmed his decision to stay. Ryland closed the door behind him and returned to the kitchen to watch what she was doing. "Well that explains why your pack struggles so much. You don't look past the meal your eating at the time. If you actually ration what you had and preserved the leftovers thing would be alot easier for you all." Not to mention they only ate meat so they don't even consider other sources of food. Well beyond porridge. "Since you're going to be feeding three people you need to put in the scoops of oats." He instructed, giving her enough space to move around.

Lol what? 0-0 How do you burn water?

  • Bunny nodded in embarrassment before smiling a little "Yeah... I think one or two of the others said that to the alpha.. He thought they were trying to take over. Did i mention Dads gone a little coocoo after his mate left him?" She turned to the porridge before asking again "How many scoops do i add? One scoop for everyone?" She honestly didn't know...

    BY BEING ME :D

    Tea X4

    Water x1

    Squash x1

    Grits x2

    etc

Probably have burned a ton of other stuff. Potatoes, corn, fries to an extent, burgers in the oven, and peas and carrots are all some of them XD

  • "Yep," He said, watching her scoop the oats into the pot. "Now you add two cups of water for every cup of oats, so that's six cups of water." He closed the distance a bit to watch her closely, mentally counting the cups as she poured them. "I'm guessing his mate is your mother right?" He asked.

    Jesus christ >x<

I can't jusge though since I've birnt my fair share of things too.

  • Bunny nodded, almost gripping the scoop tighter "Yes... But i wish she wasn't. I'm just gonna say that i'm still lucky to be sitting here talking to you." It still broke her heart, because of it. But as she went to the water, she felt a little calmer. It still hurt her, but she would get over it soon again...

We can be pot and pan burnerssss

  • "Oh," Ryland glanced at her from the corner of his eye, not sure what to say and how to comfort her. Neither of his parents were bad people, though his father was fairly bull-headed at times. "Well after you put the water in you just let it sit for about 5 minutes and then your done. -- I'll grab the bowls." He said as an after thought, reaching up in the cabinets for 3 ceramic bowls.

    YAASS

  • Bunny nodded and poured all the water and went to go help him, by bringing the little sticks with bowls at the end. She smiled a little at Ryland and sat down, leaning against her arms a little

  • Ryland checked on the porridge, giving it a quick stir before deciding that it's ready. "What do you want in yours?" He asked as he set the bowls down, glancing back as he heard the shuffling of feet.

"Good morning," Mistral hummed, a sleepy smile perched on her lips. "Mmm, it smells good in here. What did you make?" She asked settling down in one of the chairs.

  • Ryland shrugged after a bit, dissapearing into the pantry for a quick second only to return with a small jar of rasberry preserves, molasses, and cinnamon along with grabbing a small apple as well. Hos mother like preserves so two dollops for her, chopped up apples for him and a drizzle of molasses for Bunny. That should do it. He gave a satisfied nod and hand them thier respective bowls

"That sounds delightful," The woman hummed, her smile widening a bit when her bowl was set in front of her. She took a spoonful of porridge and preserves and fit it into her mouth, brushing golden curls away from her face as she took Nother bite. "This really is good. Who made it?" She asked, it didn't seem to matter to her who did as she would be proud either way.

Btw who's hair is she touching?

  • She's playing with her own hair :3

Bunny smiled before saying gently "Ryland did. I came up with the idea, but he helped me put stuff in the scoop" She said, trying her best to eat the porridge with the spoon

  • Oh okay, just making sure.

"Well, I commend the both of you." She chirped as she fit another spoonful in her mouth. It's been awhile since she was able to have breakfast made for her. With Ryland either going to town or taking care of the animals and Zephir always out hunting, it was usually up to her to make the meals and keep everyone fed.

Ryland gave a small nod in response as he attempted to eat his food in a quick but neat manner, his eyes flicking over to his mother when she spoke up again.

"How did you two sleep? Did you dream about anything?" She asked glancing at them both as she waited for an answer.

"I slept fine." Was his reply, despite his truthful answer being the opposite. He didn’t answer the last question, only taking in another mouthful of porridge and apples.
