  • Mistral smiled warmly, a bit surprised by the sudden contact. "I'll leave tou to your bath then." She said leaving the bathrook and closing the door behind her. She returned to the kitchen, checking up on the jars of rabbit stew she put in the canner. "They're done!" She hummed excitedly letting out the top to release the pressure.

Ryland gently fanned the logs, encouraging the fire to build and release thier smoke. He was using plum branches this time since they seemed to well with any type of meat. "That should do it." He murmured, closing the small door so the smoke could build. It should last until the morning then he could add somemore wood if needed. He stood up stretching as he headed into the house, the smell of plum smoke clinging to his skin and clothes.

  • Bunny, though a bit wary of the water, took her tribal clothing off and stepped into the hot bath. Sitting down, she fiddled with the water and watched as it turned brownish from the dirt on her. She figured the soap and cloth was to wash herself, so she did it carefully. Once she was done, she fiddled with it in her hair. She had some sense of bathing, since they usually would go into the lake to bathe once a month. Finally, she started to fiddle with the different bubbles she made in the bath

  • After about ten minutes Mistral gently pulled out the jars to properly cool, smiling as she heard the satisfying ping of the jars as they set. "Oh!" She said suddenly, clapping her hands together as she remembered something. "Bunny!" She called with a soft knock on the door a bundle of clothes in her hands. "I brought some clothes for you to sleep in," She said lightly, absent-mindedly rubbing the cotton fabric. "They might be a little big on you though."

Ryland, after heading inside, made a quick patrol of the house, that the doors are locked, windows are shut, basment hatch is closed and secured. Once everything is to his satisfaction he finally settled, carefully poking the fire as he waited jis turn for the bath.

  • Bunny started playing around with the towel, shaking a little on instinct. Mostly since she used to do it when bathing in the lakes. She quickly set the towel under her and dried her mess up. Soon it was wrapped around her pale body and she was at the door "Oh, those look very nice and soft" She said, a real smile on her face. She gently took the clothes "And thank you, Mistral" She said, closing the door again to put on her clothing

  • Mistral gave a slight nod and a smile dissapearing into her room for the night all tuckered out.

Ryland was thumbing through a book, continuing to wait for his turn in the bathroom.

  • Finally, Bunny stepped out of the bathroom, having the room cleaned. She went into the area Ryland was in. She tilted her head in confusion, but said nothing. It looked like.. Well. She couldn't tell. She lowered her ears and shrugged, adjusting the shirt she wore

  • Question! What time period are they in?

Seeing that she was out Ryland stood up. "Finally," He grunted standing up, placing his books on the shelf as he started to make his way to the bathroom. She smelled better atleast. When he first met her she smelled like the whole forest took a shit on her. He quickly ran his water and hopped in with a pleased sigh. Feeling his aching muscles unwind under the heat.

  • I'd say around the 1800-1900? :3

Slowly, she walked towards the papery leather things and poked one in confusion. It felt cold. She pulled a book out and blinked. What were all those things on the pages of paper? She put it back before her eyes went cross eyed and went to explore the house. She noticed the outside was turning darker. Night already? Well. It had been afternoon when she first was carried here

  • Okay just wondering!

After a while Ryland decided to get out of the bath carefully drying himself off before dressing in his pajamas. He came out carry two quilts. Carefully placing them down. "You can use these for now." He said watching her as she wandered around.

  • The raven haired female squeaked and turned towards Ryland. She eased up a little and tilted her head "Okay." She sounded confused. Mostly because she'd never seen this before. She went over and took them and went to go set them up by one of the chairs in a corner

  • "Ah, Good morning!" Mistral sing-songed as she spread marmalade over a piece of toast. She seemed to be in a good mood despite having woken up so early.

Ryland carefully reached for another egg and placed it in the basket, the soft clucking chickens surrounding him. "Alright, Alright. I'm almost done." He grumbled, closing his hand around the last one, scooting backwards to get out of the chicken coop with a sigh.

  • Bunny got up the small pallet she made and folded the top one the best she could. Soon she was in the kitchen "Would you like me to help you cook or anything like that?" She asked Mistral, hoping she could help. One thing she had little of back at her pack. She could smell... Oranges? Was it in that jelly like stuff? Focus, Bunny! She looked at Mistral again and waited for her answer

  • Mistral hummed thoughtfully tilting her head to the side. "Actually I could use your help! Ryland has to go into town to today to get some things. Thought I have to focus on gardening first if you don't mind helping me with that." She said with a hopeful smile, carefully placing the marmalade smeared toast beside another one . "But before all of that..." She hummed in her sing song voice before presenting Bunny with her plate of marmalade toast and a fried egg. "Ta-dah! It's your breakfeast!"

"Mom, Here's todays eggs and the smoked meat." Ryland opened the door-- well more like bumped it open with his hip, carrying the basket of eggs and and a tarp bag of what was assumed to be the smoked meats.

"Ah, thank you!" She said carefully relieving him of his cargo after setting Bunny's breakfast on the table. "You have the list of what I need right?" She asked to which he gave an affirmative nod to. "And the stuff to sell?" Another nod. "Good! Try to be back by lunch, alright?"

"Yeah I'll try," He promised, giving his mother a quick hug before taking off, a large bag slung over his shoulder, most likely trying to get some distance before transforming into his bird form.

  • Bunny looked at the food and smiled. She sat down at the chair she put the food in front of and began to eat her toast and egg "Whats on the crispy bread?" She asked after she swallowed food. She'd never had toast, so she called it crispy bread. She took another bite of the toast and poked at the fork. Was that a weapon? No. Too small. Back to Mistral, Bunny! She looked back at her and smiled again

  • "Ah, that's orange marmalade! Do you like it?" Mistral took a seat across from her with her own plate, watching her eat with with bright eyes and a pleased expression. She took her fork and cut into the egg on her own plate, carefully directing the egg into her mouth. She paused curiously when she saw Bunny poking at her fork. "Is everything alright?" She asked with a slightly concerned expression.

  • Bunny nodded "Yes, i'm alright." She said, trying to hold the fork how Mistral did "I've just never seen a fork.. And i've never had marmalade. But it looks and smells very good" She added, setting the fork down and taking another bite of toast. She smiled at the mother happily as she did

  • "I'm glad you like it! Maybe we could make some together if the if there's anything on the tree." She said brightly as a relieved smile settled on her lips as she took another bite of her egg. She felt distraught how much things this girl hadn't experienced, but then again seeing how the girl had came to them she shouldn't be surprised. "Ah, we should probably finish up eating if we want to start on gardening!" She said with an excited clap of her hands as she attempted to eat a bit quicker.

  • Bunny nodded and shakily used the fork to pick up her egg and eat it. She wished Ryland wouldn't think of her as 'spoiled'. He didn't know how lucky he was with how much food he had. While her father forced them to survive in the woods, barely getting a single measly bite to eat. She knew she should stop envying him. But.. She felt jealous almost. He had a caring mother, and not a dad who is insane...
