    Note: This is NOT a thread about Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It may have a story more similar to the Disney one than the original tale, and if even may take place during a similar, if not the same setting, but it doesn't have the same characters and it doesn't take place in the universe. It doesn't even take place in an alternate universe of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Sorry Disney fans, I like the Disney Beauty and the Beast movie, but this is not a thread based on the film.

    Welcome to: A Beastly Situation, your typical Beauty and the Beast tale, but with a few differences. Once upon a time, there was a young princess named Arcene who ruled over the kingdom. One day, she was cursed by a powerful spirit, turning her into a monstrous beast, and her staff into anthropomorphic animals. The curse wiped the townsfolks' memory of Princess Arcene, the servants, and their castle, and it could only be broken if Arcene fell in love, and that same person loved her back. However, years later, a young boy around Arcene's age, accidentally trespassed on the castle ground. The princess was furious and locked him up in the dungeon. However, while the boy was locked up, Arcene's servants convinced her that he was the one and that she should get to know him so they'll fall in love and break the spell. The problem is, Arcene isn't in love with him. Instead, she has a crush on the young, kind head housekeeper around her age, who has been recently turned into a deer. Now Arcene has to decide whether to "fall in love" with the prisoner in order to make her servants happy by freeing them, or be with her true love. What happens next? That's for you to decide!

    I'll make the RP thread once we get someone to play "the one to break the spell", the head housekeeper, and some of the staff and servants.

    Species: Anthropomorphic Snake

    Occupation: Butler

    Personality: Living as an orphan, Kamari has learned not to trust many people, and how to lie, cheat and steal. He is very sarcastic, witty and sometimes funny. He enjoys talking to others and hates seeing them hurt or upset. He takes him job seriously and refuses to do anything the wrong way even if it will save time. He isn't afraid to blackmail anyone, and he can easily get the information he needs as he learned to be quiet and listen when it matters. He is a very much a rebel but does take orders if given to him by some one that has been there longer then him and is older.

    History: Kamari's father died before he was born and his mother died in childbirth. Kamari spend most of his life in an orphanage. The kingdom had been looking for a new butler as one of there's died of all age. He began working at the castle when he was 15. During his time at the orphanage he befriended a young kid named Poisa who loved snakes and was also a born orphan as well. During the time the spell was enfect, Poisa died and he didn't remember Kamari.

    Occupation: Gardener

    Personality: Rufus has never been a kind person, preferring to read his books or help his mother in her garden rather then talk to others. It was clear that Kareth was the more charismatic of the two. Being second born he wasn't expect of much so he had lots of time to be alone. He rarely made any friends and this lead him to be anti-social. He also disbelieves in true love and destiny/fate. He enjoys talking to plants and animals, the rat has always been his favorite animal so it wasn't a surprise when he became one.

    History: Ramon, more commonly called by his middle name Rufus, was the second born of the Aizawa family. He had a fine childhood, his father owned his own business. He became the castle's gardener only a few months before the spell was cast on the Castle and it's occupants. His brother was given the family business, and he married Irene Aizawa and they had 4 kids that Rufus has never formally met. (He knows them but they don't know him).

    Personality: kind, respectful, loyal

    History: as an orphan child she had run away and lived in the forest. She eventually stumbled upon the castle and met a guard who took her under his wing secretively and she lived in his secret basement. She confessed to him that she wanted to be a guard to even though women were not allowed to have such a task. But instead of telling her how ridiculous she was he taught her how to be a guard at night and together they made armor and clothes to disguise her as a man. With her long blonde hair tucked up into a helmet she no longer looked like a girl and served beside her father figure easily. He was killed one night by a raving fever. She then had to fight harder to prove her worth and make sure that no one found out her true identity. Now that the members had been turned into anthros she finds it a bit easier to hide who she really is but hasn't slacked off on the case. When in heat she keeps to herself more than she would before and for the most part disappears into the basement of her father figure's house where she lives.

    Ideas for Plot: (look to history) The fact that she is a girl can lead to problems I guess. I think I'll leave it to the other roleplayers to steer that where ever they please.
