  • Ah, finally. She'd gotten it set up with the help of her fellow clanmates. The pink haired girl would take a minute to step back and put her hands at her hips, smiling happily up at the decorations.

Food was laid out on tables, tantalizing in smell and looks. Another table held masks, in case someone had forgot to bring some. Beautiful banners decorated the walls, and a record player stood in a corner, playing off an old record that the girl had uncovered.

Byrd would turn around and hold her arms open in welcoming, a big (and slightly uncharacteristic) smile on her face. "Welcome to the Blackheart Rouges's masquerade ball! Help yourself to anything- and have fun!"

  • lukas would be lying if he said he wasn't absolutely captivated by the party space. really, this was his first all-out party that- hopefully- wouldn't end up getting destroyed by meteor strikes, and so an incredibly important moment in his eyes. stepping into the ballroom softly, the rogue warrior was wearing what he'd picked out in the costume preparations held beforehand. an outfit which had managed to catch his eye, as well as a simpler mask he'd chosen to fit the theme of the ball- he'd put his soul into making sure everything was prepared, because he certainly couldn't miss out on a moment like this. "oh, this is so beautiful!" he gasped in awe as he'd started to glance around, though it did seem like he was one of the few to arrive first, which was pretty probably thanks to how much he'd been prepping himself just for this one ball. he'd been through a lot of crap these past few weeks, but it looked like things were going to start getting a bit better for him.

  • MAR;;

Mar had been slightly nervous about attending but as a paladin trainee, it was probably important that they, you know, participate. They threw on a deep red suit, marveling at how much they had changed. Their roleplayer recalled that the character was originally based off of Maria Reynolds from Hamilton but changes happen, they thought with a shrug. The nonbinary babe donned a glittery black mask- it was a masquerade ball, wasn't it?- and walked in as casually in an attempt to ignore the social anxiety. They didn't really know anyone but that was fine. Hopefully London would be here! They guessed that their daughter would have fun and maybe she'd even dance with Jacob. "Hello, I'm Mar Reynolds," they introduced themself awkwardly.

  • Masquerade balls gave Arno a mixed stir of excitement and confusion. He enjoyed the idea of it, to cover up your face and not care for a night. But, not being very good with faces, he was rarely able to identify familiar people. Nonetheless, he came, dressed up in nothing too fancy with a rather simple white mask. His hair, as per usual, was pulled back into a loose pony tail, although he actually decided to run a brush through it a few times.

Since there was such a small amount of people, the brown-haired Frenchman felt he should introduce himself before things went off. Approaching Byrd, the man would offer a polite smile. "Bonjour Madame. I am Arno Dorian." For a moment, he pended on putting his hand out for a handshake, but decided against it almost immediately. Even in this casual social affair, the man had his hidden blade equipped. It was not well covered, however, and raising his hand would show it. No need to put on the wrong impression, right? Instead, the man bothered himself with a pleasantry, smiling again as he spoke, "This is beautifully done. Did you set everything up?"

♤ ♣ ♡ ♦ -Alice smiled brightly as she walked into the ballroom. She had her dark grey hair down, and her dress was was simple with a floral charm. Her mask contained the same floral charm as her dress. Honestly, she might look odd with her monochrome theme, but she didn't mind. She just enjoyed the fact she was out, and going to her first masquerade. After all, her parents never really let her go too far as a kid.

"This is wonderful!" The woman complimented as she walked over to the small group. She recognized those of her group, but not the other two. Well, it was good to meet people right?

"My name is Alice Liddell," She said introducing herself to the two who didn't know her. She felt a bit embarrassed that she hadn't done that first, but oh well. It couldn't be helped now. She just tried to not blush as she knew it would give that embarrassment away. Something she wasn't going to let happen.

Oh, oh, was he the first one to appear from his clan? or had he just not get to know to many people yet?. Did it really matter though?. For Dimitri it for sure didn't but for Inu this was a bit nervouse for him to appear to a party such like this with no one he really know. But he keept himself together, taking in a deep breathe and while he was supposed to feel nervous inside was curious over to see how this night would unfold to be. Steping into the room with all the lights and folks in there moved himself rather smoothly and quickly over to one of the tables to grap a drink, a none alcohol one since Inu wasn't supposed to like alcohol Dimitri had decided which was a bit of a shame since he did liked to drink it but not Inu. He was supposed to be more innocent when it come to that matter. So a kid cider drink would have to do for him, bringing it up to his lips to sip on it while looking through the crowd to observe the room and the people inside of it through his mask.

His dress existed for him to look like a vampire with a black mask to cover his eyes with.

  • it was on account of his lover in that prompted the doll-like boy to be present amongst the brilliant gowns and handsome featured men who now exhibited within the ballroom's royally ivory halls. as such, the priest couldn't help but feel rather offset within the dazzling atmosphere despite himself as he truly didn't belong amongst the allies of one in which was already that of an enemy. but the lovely featured youth was such a being who could find beauty within a monster's wine colored eyes, and thus he would allow himself to make the best of the situation.

hypokrisis appeared even more so ethereal within the esemble he daunted, looking to be a walking doll of fine porcelain with other worldly hues of dying stars and dreamer's blue bleeding through his intricate mask of alabaster. the attire left quite little to the imagiantion, baring the youth's fair chest, legs, and the entirety of his back as streams of blue ribbon flourished about his form, the fabric solely bunching at the most obscene of places. he was quite ravashing, master of his androgyny, appearing a jewel amongst the amber crowns of kings.

as he awaited for fourthwall, someone caught the priest's stunning eye- a creature completely covered with that of ebony fabric who appeared quite surly. however, something about the other's form and movements caused a ping of nostalgia to resound within his being. hypokrisis stepped forward, graceful legs revealed as he walked to come across the other's side, curiosity present upon darling features as he carelessly tilted his lovely head to one side. "Excuse me," hypokrisis began, tone of honey endearing, "But have we met before?" it was not a likely chance, perhaps the other simply reminded him of someone- but hypokrisis simply couldn't put his mind on of whom.

  • Honestly, a masquerade ball was perfect for someone like Little. It meant less judgement, didn't it? Well, if they couldn't see her face, then they wouldn't be nearly as critical compared to when they could. And for that reason only had the tabby slipped on a nearly full mask that hid the majorly fucked up side of her mouth and the three scars going across her eyes. Edges of ragged scars were still present if you looked closely but she doubted anyone would be nosy and rude enough to follow through with it. However even if most of her physical scars were covered up by the mask, she still had the major one exposed for the entire world. Her missing leg. Right. But it was okay. She was fine. On crutches, did the Monarch arrive into the party. She was wearing a black velvet dress, simple and easy. Her chocolate skin shone although marred by the many scars over it. But she was fine, she was fine. Little felt relatively uncomfortable as she made her way in. She somehow maneuvered her and her crutches through the crowd and arrived at the foods table; her real savior. She had to say though, she was digging this old music. Awkwardly, the young girl snapped off a little bit of a cookie and stuffed it in her mouth, ensuring no drool or crumbs fell from her crooked mouth.

'Inu' had just taken his second sip from the sweet cider when he heared someone speak up behind in that lovely voice that was impossible not to recognize. As he turned himself around to face this person with his mismatched eyes come face to face with this beautiful looking doll, his doll. They hadn't been speaking in quite some time but he had heared the news already knowing why Hypokrisis was here to have fallen blindly in love with this group boss. Such a lovely tale, the beauty falling in love with the beast and living happily after. If only it could turn out that way but that would be boring convinced his doll thought the same so to live up this sweet little tale had brought Reiki into the story, droping him of in front of the beast door. Now he was sure the story would end up more interesting.

Speaking about familliar faces beside from his annoy eyes he could do nothing about to change, the rest of his apperance however was not the same like how Dimitri would carry himself. He had dyed his black hair to the soft sun blonde color, letting his hair being unstyled and a new way of dressing himself to make him look younger not the age of tweentyfive but more in the early stage of adulthood, eighten perhaps or younger. More uncaring about how he dressed himself aside from now of course.

But now, how should Inu react to this encounter?. Ah he know going to amuse himself a bit. So when this blue and red orb had fixed themself on this doll eyes would wide by how stunning beautiful this boy looked and half opened the mouth." So beautiful. " He was like stuck in a briefly trance, speaking out this words like the mouth had reacted before the brain had. But Inu soon realised this though, what he had said and so started to blush, this red color spreading itself on his pale skin. " Ah, ah!." Embarassed he would glance down at his feets like a little boy being catch head on and hoped Hypokrisis not had heared him but Dimitri know he had and inside he smirked rather satisfied. " N-No, i uhm, don't think w-we have miss, i mean, i uhm, would not be able to...forget a face such like ya. " he stuttered on his words, voice filled with nervousement like he not could believe why a such beautiful creature such like this one would come forward and speak to a loser such like himself.

  • He enjoyed parties. They were nice and allowed people to take breaks from their complicated lives. Apollo was quick to rush over to the ball. He sauntered in with a small smile on his face with his eyes quietly observing everything. There were tables with food, another with masks, decorations all over the place, and some nice music being played on a record player. He already liked the place. Apollo himself had on a black suit with a black and white striped tie (and not a red one for once). His mask wasn't just a simple color and was of a top half of a wolf's face.

There wasn't that many people here and he only seemed to recognize two other people from BlizzardClan. The rest of the people, he didn't know. He looked over at the group of people and thought about heading towards them but ended up getting himself and alcoholic drink. Apollo really couldn't help himself. As he stood there, seeming to drink it like it was the first drink he had in years, Apollo noticed another person who was alone. She was using crutches to support herself due to her missing leg.

  • so beautiful.

the words caused a gentle smile to curve parsley lips and a lovely rouge to tint hypokrisis' darling features. the one before him seemed rather shy, a being enveloped in his own unsureness- certainly traits in which hypokrisis would have recalled with utmost accuracy. yet still, there was something about the other's gaze- it was heterochromatic with colorations of blood and gold. quite familiar, almost hauntingly thus. hypokrisis narrowed his own hues of ethereal nature, attempting to look pass the pleasantries; however, he was then distracted by the other's words. hypokrisis continued to smile warmly towards inu, who struggled atop his own words, before finally speaking. "Mister," hypokrisis corrected simply, no malice within his tone but simply speaking in a manner of fact. he was quite used to being mistaken for his gender's opposite, especially considering now in the manner he was dressed. but given that, and the fact inu stated he did not recall him, hypokrisis let the idea of familiarity fade, though preplexion still came forth upon doll-like features. "I'm flattered by your compliments, but I'm not sure I'm quite that deserving," hypokrisis returned lightly, the other seemed to act as if he were perhaps the most ravishing creature amongst the living world. but none the less, inu seemed to be quite the kind and gentle person. "I'm sorry for having mistaken you- I just- I suppose something about you reminds of someone I know." the priest then allowed the entire thought of knowing inu to flee his mind, looking to the other as a new person entirely than someone he had once met. "Hypokrisis," the lovely boy introduced, "And you are?"

Heh, it seemed like it was working. Like a dance everyone was falling into his game just like always. Of course it would work, stealing identities was something he had done so many times he had lost count on them. The nervous Inu would contunie to stare down at the floor until getting enough of courage to peek up carefully at this beautiful person again how now was smiling at him. The pink color on his cheeks started to heat up on the blushing boys cheeks. Hearing him having mistaken the gender would let the eyes widen up again in suprise like this was something entierly he not had been expected to hear. " Y-Ya are a boy?!, uh...uh!, I'm sorry m'am ah! sir!. " he apologized shamefully and muttered out 'baka' to himself some couple of times which meant idiot in japanese. Inside Dimitri was laughing because he found this hilarious and to much fun to play this way. He was very entertained right now which was the point of it whole.

Even though Inu showed embarassment over that Hypokrisis had heared him stating out his beautiful apperance couldn't let it stop him from feeling rather shooked over how this person not could see himself the way he himself did. Even Dimitri could see it, being no fool of a man to not being able tell when beauty was right in front of his very eyes. The smile, he honestly loved it if only Hypokrisis had the same ice blue eyes he would really look like a angel and look exactly like Cath, only a male version of her. Speaking of beauty and angels though over the right side of Hypokrisis shoulder a bit behind in the darkness Inu catch the glimt of the angel standing there and glaring at him hatefully. Oh, so Cath had followed him here huh? to haunt him even on a such lovely night such like this. Ah, now when she stood there and the doll here he could see the familliar traits in thier faces so perfectly.

" Oh, but ya are!. I m-mean i think ya l-look very very beautiful like ah..angel.. " he stopt to blush and shifted the fingers nervousely on the glass he was still holding in his hands. The words, they where supposed to be hard to found, to not let them so easily and smoothly leave the mouth. They where supposed to be thought carefully though. " I beat ya h-have someone... " he almost mumbled the words out, and felt his heart take a little bit of a beat. Hah, this was to much fun Dimitri honestly didn't know what to do with himself right now.

" It's f-fine, really!, no biggie. I'm often out r-running on the streets so y-ya could have seen me there getting in t-trouble!,haha!, maybe. It's e-easy to misplace someone. " he spoke now daring a bit to be more humours and even trying to play out a awkward joke on the topic of if they had meet each other before which in Inu cases wasn't possible. This was the first time he had ever settled his eyes on this person. Inu eyes seemed to shine up when he heared this beautiful name, a small shy smile spreading in envy and repeating his name quietly to himself. " Hypokrisis." before breaking himself out from that trance to face Hypo with a big of a grin now although his cheeks was still blushing. " Inu!. People c-call me Inu!. "

  • "oh- hello there!" lukas exclaimed, his eyes lighting up as it seemed that a few people wanted to talk to him. it was always a positive occasion when someone wanted to make friends, and he could even catch sight of a few familiar faces in the crowd, like byrd, a fellow rogue, and hypokrisis, a bloodclan cat he'd had the pleasure of meeting once before. turning towards both alice and mar, the boy didn't exactly know what to say at first- he was still in awe at the beautiful party and all who had turned out to attend to it. "my name's lukas- welcome to the blackheart rogues' castle." he piped up- a cheery one for somebody who happened to reside in an anticlan. hell, with his lack of abilities, one would wonder why he was even here in the first place, but he was just glad to have somewhere stable to live. besides, the karma law made it so they could only target other anticlans, so it wasn't like any innocents were being harmed here, anyways.

perhaps he was keeping an eye out for fourthwall, but he knew he might not even make it to the ball. he was a busy guy, and he really wasn't of much importance to waste time with, anyways- it was alright. "i really hope you have a good time here!"

  • Shiro had never, ever been to a masquerade ball. He was sensitive about his prosthetic arm but tried not to worry about it this time. Once, just once, he should be able to have some fun without worrying about getting attention because of his stupid RoboCop arm. This was an ally's party—he just had to enjoy it and live every minute like it was his last. For now. For today.

After the appearance of Inu and Little, the tall man had arrived in a basic yet fancy black outfit. He had forced himself not to cover his hands up with pointless gloves—you'll be fine, don't worry. Keeping his facial features from view was a black lightning mask in which his usually striking dark gray hues didn't really stand apart from the rest of his outfit. Man, he was big on darker colors for his outfit tonight. Thankfully the mask had hidden his ugly facial scar from sight—that would've been embarrassing. Tucking his hands in his pant pockets, Shiro looked around and took a deep breath. What now? Who would he meet here?

  • The girl was next to make her way over. The black haired beauty would sit back against the wall. Her scarlet dress flowing to the ground and her soft blue eyes scanning the crowd.

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

I was no stranger to parties, or rather, my definition of parties. Wild nights of laughing and being loud with friends, drinking and singing to obnoxious music while playing games and just having a general good time. This wasn't exactly my idea of a party, but I'd agreed to it none the less. I knew that there was my way of seeing things, and thent he rest of the worlds way of seeing things, and I couldn't force them to all be into what I was into. I wouldn't have wanted to even if I could. So I'd okayed Xias plan and let her and Byrd put it into effect, and I'd forced myself to get dressed up and ready. I hadn't been to anything like this before, but I'd been informed -rather insistently- by both women that I should dress up in some appropriate and clean if I chose to make an appearance. And of course I was going to fucking be there. What was I supposed to do, just hide in my own territory? There were allies and neutrals coming to this, people I'd been wanting to meet and observe for some time now, so I wasn't going to just stay away because I couldn't figure out what to wear.

And yes, I would admit, I probably went overboard.

When they'd said 'something clean and appropriate- I'm sure they'd had something more along the lines of a traditional suit in mind, as likely a majority of the attending men would be wearing. But if they hadn't anticipated at least a little unpredictability from me, then they sure didn't know me very well. The apparel I had chosen was indeed clean, it's materials of fine quality and it's tailoring almost professional. I definitely hadn't made this up myself. From the black vest and long red and gold overcoat, everything was pristine and expensive looking - even the loose pants and combat boots- totally appropriate for the Pirate King I was. A sword was attached to my belt on one side, a pistol on the other, and my Mask also doubled as an awesome pirate hat, which was just fine with me.

Making my way into the room a grin would settle onto my lips as I took a look around and realized it was doing well- much better than the event with Blizzardclan had gone. I noticed littlesoldier g. d. over by the food table munching on a cookie and gave her a nod, deciding to head over and bug her once I'd found my date. Jello had sent me a candygram asking me out, and since I hadn't bothered Izzy with an invite since he'd been swamped lately, and since Reiki and Lukas hadn't beaten her to it, I was her date for the night. It was definitely going to be interesting- I hadn't expected anyone to specifically ask me to go. Maybe Lukas, but not a newcomer. I was open to it though-why not? Jello was cool and she knew some healing which was going to be a huge help in the future.

I was looking around for her when a familiar voice caught my attention. I turned and was surprised to see Lukas standing near Byrd, talking to a few of the guests. I wasn't really sure what I'd expected him to come wearing, but the dress he'd chosen suited him despite how opposite it was of everything I associated him with. The night sky and space was supposed to belong to Izzy while Lukas was the sky and sunlight, but I found the galaxy dress and black mask quite appealing on him. "Yo." I'd call, making my way over to the group and nodding a greeting to the those gathered. "You guys seen Jello around? We're supposed to meet here." I'd ask, the words directed at Lukas and Byrd before I turned to the others. "I'm Fourthwall, by the way, Leader of the Rogues. Hope you guys have fun tonight." I know Xia and Byrd worked hard, expecially the former, so it would be nice to see the event do well. It looked like things were going well, but as I'd mentioned before I didn't have much experience with things like this.

  • Paperpaw would stumble in, a pretty pink dress loosely covering her and a totally magical fairy wand made of metal in hand. Was she late? Honey, she called it fashionably late. Honestly, in this kid's mind, she could do no wrong.

"I'm here! Where's the food? Please tell me there's food!" What was with her being so damn hungry all the time? Maybe it was because her roleplayer depicted her as a hungry character? Nah.

  • smiling towards those he'd already greeted, lukas found himself not waiting too long until hearing a voice talking to him, though it certianly wasn't who he'd been expecting at the moment. right away it was as if he turned beet-red at just the hint of the leader's voice, reaching down a bit nervously to smooth out his dress for a few seconds before finally looking up at fourth. his red eyes certainly stood out against the blue and black colors he was wearing, and even his pale skin- perhaps they were reminders of a terrible choice he'd made, a shitty decision, but at the very least he'd done it for something- someone, who mattered. that's what counts, right? at fourthwall's question to jelloshots' whereabouts, the boy simply glanced around for a few seconds to spot the lady he trained with, his crimson gaze soon catching sight of her sitting against a wall. hesitating for a moment, he lifted up his hand to point towards where she was quickly, still blushing as he talked. "jello's right over there, by that wall." he murmured, though he didn't exactly want to stop speaking to him there, trying to make way for a few more words before fourth would inevitably leave to talk to jelloshots about something he couldn't recall ever knowing about. "you- you look really nice today, by the way."

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

I'd lazily follow his gaze to where the girl was leaning against the wall, looking very beautiful in her red dress. "So she is." I'd reply, and while I wanted to go over to meet her I was disappointed over having to leave Lukas so quickly. He looked good, and the territorial part of me that didn't want to share that was tempting me to drag him along with us for our date as some sort of third wheel. But I was sure Jello wouldn't have liked that, and while I seldom held anything more for people than shallow camaraderie I tried my best to keep my clanmates happy. Besides, I wanted to know more about her. She just sort of showed up out of the blue one day after we crossed paths at The Sanctum.

As Lukas paid his compliments to me I didn't find myself surprised. While it was true I'd struck a contract with him that required him to do whatever I asked of him -and while it was equally true that I more often than not asked simply for affections and general company from the other- it seemed that Luks had adopted the role himself. There was no bitterness in him over the position I'd put him in, and he acted just as I needed him to without ever having to push him in the right direction. His was a pure innocence, white and clean. And so the shy compliment was as welcomed as it was expected, and I'd say "Thanks." before letting my eyes wander the length of his body rather boldly with a smirk. "I like that dress on you. You should wear stuff like this more often."

If we hadn't been among allies my comment might have been a bit more vulgar because I was just that kind of person, the sort who put things bluntly with no regard to how it affected others. "I've gotta go meet Jello. Make sure you save me a dance later though." I'd say, though it was pretty obvious I'd take one weather he saved it for me or not. Lukas, like Reiki, was someone I had to keep happy, because keeping them happy was how I kept myself from falling apart. I could manipulate and enforce my will on them, but I'd chosen them for specific reasons, and those reasons had everything to do with how both were willing to give themselves to me, in body, mind, and soul. They were the kind of people that weren't as likely to leave as the others.

    But they'd never be Izzy.

Saying my goodbyes I'd break off from the group to go and meet Jelloshots across the room. Coming to a stop before her I'd smirk, and tip my hat-mask in greeting. "Look at that, we match." I honestly hadn't even thought about color co-ordination. Red just happened to be my favorite color.
