  • MOLLY;;

    It had been a normal day, a good day, even. Molly had been walking again, trying hard to forget her sickness though walking was rough on her diseased lungs. She knew she’d recover soon, she knew the medics were competent and she had faith in them but something felt off. Then it hit her. Cramps in her lower back, starting mild but growing in severity as she continued. She paused, sitting and trying to take deep breaths. The doe had done her research. She knew what a miscarriage was supposed to feel like. She knew that tuberculosis increased the chance of having a miscarriage. “Lo-Lottie!” she called. Please, please God, let this be unrelated to the pregnancy.

  • Though Lottie had been more tired than usual with her own pregnancy, and as such handing the reigns a little more to her Trainees as of late so she could get some better rest, she had made sure to brush up on all the situations that she had subsequently missed in her half-days off. Molly's tuberculosis being one of them. The miscarriage, though? Well, of course Lottie knew any disease or illness during a pregnancy was always cause for concern, but she always had faith.

    Dashing up at Molly's call, as was her duty, she quickly looked the she-cat over. "You're alright, what's wrong?"

    She looked up when Lottie arrived, grateful but looking on the edge of a nervous breakdown. "I- I don't think this is right, I hate to bother you, but...." Molly took a deep breath. "I really am concerned. Do you think there's any chance I'm having a miscarriage? Not to jump to conclusions or anything, just..." She had to force herself to be quiet so the medic could talk.
    //bout to leave for the day oops

  • Pierce didn't know much about childbirth - it was the babies he had researched, as they were all he planned on dealing with. After all, while he certainly wanted children, he wasn't exactly going to be able to have his own, as it was unlikely his future partner would be able to help with that. All he knew about pregnancy was that it messed with people's emotions and made them feel gross a lot of the time, ans that giving birth was painful and dangerous. He knew there could be complications, but he didn't fully know or understand what they were and how they worked.

    However, he always wanted to help if he could. So, when he heard Molly calling out for Lottie, he hurried over. He arrived just as the doe began speaking again. A miscarriage? That meant the child... wasn't okay. But she hadn't been diagnosed by the medic yet, so maybe it was alright. "Hey, Molly, it's gonna be alright," he managed, though he sounded uncertain. What if she really was having a miscarriage? Then it definitely wasn't going to be alright.
