  • Inhale, exhale. Relax. Nobody is here with you. It's alright. Nobody but Kaia. Kaia is here, and she'll not let anyone you don't know approach you.

Those were thoughts that easily made him less tense, where the muscles in his legs in where he stood slowly relaxed, his tail not swinging around, eyes calming to let himself loose, and just enjoy the moment. Alessandro, despite being six moons old, is never the type to explore SunClan territory on his own, especially when it came to him as to how many members he had to interact to before he could get to exploring in solitude and doing what he loves the most. It was only with Kaia's insistence and strong convincing that she'll be there with him at every step of the way that managed to pull him away from away from the camp and into the Gardens of Eden, where, to his own surprise, really had colorful arrays of flowers to look around with.

Different scents assaulted his nose, and eagerly, he sniffed them, the sweet aroma of all these flowers enough to make him dizzy, a dazed smile on his face. For this moment, Alessandro almost forgot all the fears and anxiousness that overcame him at the thought of going out here, but with Kaia, it seems to have calmed him down, because nobody but them was around. As much as he had wanted to continue this, the promise of being shown how to make flower crowns by Kaia still hung in his mind. He approached the SunClan princess, prodding her on the shoulder, before speaking. "Hey, Kai?" he inquired to the other feline "You promised uhm, to show me how to make those, er, crowns, right?" Aless had loved the flower crowns that Kaia had made before and being willing to learn such skill from Kaia, he looked at her eagerly, a dusty flush in his cheeks as he slowly looked away, biting his lip, hopes high that he didn't disturb her in whatever she was doing.

It was a random spurt of doubt, and fear that she looked down at him, that he was nothing more than a useless pawn that she could easily throw away, and as much as he tried to disregard such thoughts, it stood still in his mind, plagued him, made his stomach squirm as if a bunch of butterflies had started flying around in his insides and making him feel the dread that he couldn't simply shake off.

Kaia Arcanium Leonidas || 5 moons || Princess of Sunclan

Kai and Aless had known eachother since Robin brought her and her siblings to Sunclan, she'd met him on an off chance one night when out exploring. It felt safer to her to walk the town by night than by day, though she wasn't sure why. It had been nice to meet a child similar in age to her, so in her excitement the catsune had run up to him in excitement. This had frightened the chocolate tom, though it sent both of them rambling various apologies to eachother. It had taken Eleo a good five minutes to calm them down and actually introduce themselves to one another.

They'd slowly become closer over the next few weeks, slowly but surely conquering their little world together. Kai became Alessandro's lifeline so to speak, he clung to her whenever he could. She had been the one to teach him how to read the books his Grandpa Rome had given him, though at times the two had to ask her mother Robin what certain words meant and how to pronounce them. He got a lot more skiddish than she did when it came to others, and while she was always ready to make new friends she could give crowns to, the young Varco child didn't seem to fancy the idea. One might even claim that he was scared of it. This was why she was proud of herself and him for coming out to the gardens today. Her for getting him out here and him for having the courage to do so. Though, teaching him to make flowercrowns was going to be a bit difficult due to the fact that she used her magic to weave them instead of her paws, she'd have to adjust her method for him.

The two children sat on a purple blanket with a pile of flowers in front of them, with Eleo munching on a few of them to Kaia's dismay. The daemon didn't really need to eat to function, but as he was unable to shift and have fun with the two children he did need something to keep him from being bored. The future princess floated a few flowers over to each of them, taking one of them away from Eleo who was just about to grab it. He frowned but she only offered him a smile before turning her attention to the chocolate tom. "Well I did promise I would didn't I?" She joked, her voice bell like in nature.

  • He returned back that smile to her, a crooked, forced smile that could broadcast the wave of anxiousness. Still, he knew he can trust Kai, that the catsune was kind and caring. He reminded himself how she was the one that taught him to read properly and has never, ever shown any malicious ideas to him. With such thoughts, he once again relaxed, inhaled, and shakily exhaled. It helped, as his paws clawed the ground, until he felt like he was back on track and not screwing things up. This time, the smile he put up was more genuine, not forced, and came naturally upon his maw in being with a familiar person.

"Well, we can start now... It'll probably suck at first, but I'll try to manage, heh." he had never been good at anything, and it was only thanks to her that he was managing the bare minimum of the best that he could be. Alongside his Grandpa Rome's encouragements, it gave him a boost that he sorely needed despite the underlying shame of needing this assistance in the first place, made him feel pathetic if anything, not that he would try tell that to Kai or Grandpa, as that would only further in making them upset. Despite how he constantly depreciated himself, being with those that stuck for him so long didn't further on this trail of how many insults he could come up with himself. It would stop and he could finally feel alright in doing things that he had wanted to do despite how not so good he could be. As the flowers that Kaia floated over to him came by, he gave them a good sniff, sighing at the wonderful fragrance that he could inhale in for ages.

  • "start what?" the low breezy voice of leviathan blossomed into the air right after the comment had been made as the small orphan slipped in behind them without making a sound. the short coal black colored male had his same usual glowering half-closed neutral glare as his piercing silver visionaries turned towards kaia first. he had managed to take a small decent liking towards the kind hybrid, seeing how she managed to defend her brother when he had tried to make a fight worse than it should be. she seemed quite shy around strangers although he supposed if she had given you a flowercrown, you were in good terms. ever since she had given him that flowercrown, levi had decided to keep it in his room in the perch of a window. the flowers would eventually wilt but it was the thought that counted, right? his tense figure slightly relaxed as the young male gave a brief nod of the head towards kaia. after that, he decided to walk around their little setup, muttering a small "hey kaia. eleo." towards the daemon as levi went to a slightly slouched sitting position as his haunches pressed against the ground.

he had changed quite a bit since the beginning. sure, there were still slight bags under his smoldering glare due to not being able to get much sleep but that wasn't going to change anytime soon. however, his once scrawny figure seemed beginning to gain already broader muscles due to finally having the available food and not just scraps. his once tangled blood-mud ridden fur was not entangled and well-kept, levi gladly snipping off the knots that had formed in his fur. the same neutral monotone expression remained on his face as the japanese bobtail snapped his attention towards the unknown brown male that was hanging out with kaia. he didn't know this kid. well he didn't know many, he still was new. leviathan let out a small sniff as he examined what was in front of him.

a nervous tangle of bloody nerves. levi had never been in the shy side, tending to be blunt and quiet yet that did not mean he was one to be easily thrown under the bus. when angered, he actually tended to threaten people with long strings of curse words following behind. even in his good mood, levi kept the same expressionless stoic look locked onto his face like some sort of mask. perhaps, it was yet leviathan didn't put much thought to that. he had never smiled after his mother's death and to this day which had passed a series of months, had a single tiny wisp of a smile color his lips. tipping his head to the side ever so slightly, the lean male commented flatly "flowercrowns should just become your business already, kaia." he spoke towards the direction of kaia but his steely gaze was locked onto the stranger as he waited for a response to his answer.

Kaia Arcanium Leonidas || 5 moons || Princess of Sunclan

"I don't know how good of a teacher I'll be because I use magic to make the crowns instead of my paws, but I know it can be done in time! Don't feel down if you don't pick it up right away." She said smiling, ears swiveling as she heard Levi's comment. The catsune turned to greet him, Eleo narrowing his eyes before burying himself in the flower pile. She side-eyed her companion before speaking to the elder, yet smaller male. "Ah Levi! I was just going to start teaching Alessandro here how to make flower crowns. We wanted to do it for fun." The way she said it made it seem like it was her idea, as if she was defending his pride somehow.

When the business comment was made she laughed, high pitched in nature it wasn't grinding to the ears. A sweet little melody from a golden tinted flute. "At this point it kinda is, maybe I'll ask Suga if I can give them to the ambassadors for their clans. Do you think they'll like that kind of gift?" The question was directed at both males, as two opinions were better than one. Yet with her aura it was quite hard to say 'no' to Kaia, she expected it sometimes but it usually never came.

  • A stranger. It was an unfamiliar voice that came up behind him as it startled the wits out of him, as fear spiked and his heart rate raised from their regular beat to a faster one, one that threatened to thump his chest as if it were willing to jump out of his throat. He visually flinched at the sight of a stranger, inched closer to Kaia, his gaze at the dark-furred feline. His fur stood, tense, as once again, his claws unsheathed and fumbled with the soil beneath it, taking deep breaths, inhaled and exhaled. He could handle a single person, and this person seems to know Kaia pretty well. Biting his lip, gulping the lump that formed in his throat he stood, still anxious about how critically the other stared at him, gazed at him with what seemed to be eyes that bore no brightness that Kaia has in her own eyes.

He spoke no words as Kaia spoke for him, and a wallowing ache formed in his chest, a longing, a want to be able to talk so confidently as his friend did, unlike the bumbling awkward idiot people must think he was. So only, for now, he was silent, a strained nod followed Kaia's own words, as he gathered up enough courage to speak, and words followed so clumsily "Y-yea. She promised to teach me and, er, I want to learn how to make flower crowns too." forced words. they were nothing more than words pushed out of him in his attempt to socialize with another male. That was when he remembered he barely made a formal introduction and once again his claws unsheathed and dug the ground beneath him. It was a nervous habit, something that calms him down in the threat of stress due to socializing, and it was, at most times, something he did unconsciously "Sorry, I-uh, I forgot to introduce myself, heh, I, I'm Alessandro and Kaia is a good friend, yes, uhm, yeah, sorry." another habit was apologizing to others, and it was something he can't help but do because he felt like he had the obligation to, in case they might think he did it intentionally.

Still, he then realized he hasn't answered to Kaia's question and he turned to her, a sheepish, high-strung smile on his face as he felt red to how he just ignored her question, even for a moment "And uh yes, Kai, sorry for not answering immediately, I'm sure they'll love it!" only again did he realizes how he said that with much enthusiasm that it must be annoying to Levi. His ears dropped and biting his lip, claws still clawing on the ground he spoke "Sorry, got too excited. I know, must be annoying, yeah." and he apologizes once again out of force of habit. He hoped it was alright and he didn't ruin the whole thing, but there was something in his mind that told him he did this, that his stupid, unwanted face came and ruined everything there was gonna be, and this was another thought he couldn't get rid of and his heart felt like it just fell to the pit of his stomach and brewed the dread that he felt, despite a forced smile that come up to his face.

  • Flowercrowns must have sort of purpose the kitsune had decided at this point, they just had to. Because now Kaia was making more of them and even teaching others how they had created them. It must be some sort of ritual because who spent so much effort into practically killing flowers to create a dying headband? It was actually rather beautiful when the kitsune thought about the item in another way now, the wilting flowers stripped of water to complete photosythesis and consequentially cellular respiration. Or perhaps Angelpaw was missing the point of flowercrown. Either way Angelpaw found themselves drawn to the two familiar Sunclanners, and the third.

This boy appeared to be a little more timid, a little more unsure of himself and his abilities. This whole social thing apparently stressing Alessandro out if his body language was any indicator, but that was also probably none of Ang's business. Not that the kitsune particularly cared for being things such as polite outside of being considered 'polite-appearing'.

"Are these things some sort of ritual item?" Turning to Kaia and Alessandro, Angelpaw finally voiced their queries into what exactly these chains of flowers were. "Why would we sent them to other clans?" As far as Ang knew, Sunclan was the only clan to worship Helios and participate in the rituals that they did. But also perhaps they were wrong?

Kaia Arcanium Leonidas || 5 moons || Princess of Sunclan

Apologizing was something she'd gotten used to, Aless was always on edge it seemed so every little move that wasn't like 'normal' social interaction sent him into storms of sorrys. Kai could tell Levi, being a stranger, was a little unnerving to her friend. It wasn't anything new, but normally they came out during the night. You can't really learn to create crowns by moonlight, there's just not enough of it.

Hearing that Aless thought that giving flowercrowns to their friends outside of Sunclan was a good idea made her smile brighter, though Levi had not responded, so she would wait before speaking more about that topic. Angelpaw had come over in the meantime, curious as to the purpose of what appeared to be Kaia's signature item. "Well, no. People could use them for that yeah, but I make them for my friends so since we have clan friends, I thought they'd be happy to get ones too." The child's reasoning was straightforward enough, to her friends got flowercrowns and that was that. Though it wasn't something everyone did for friendship.

    (c)Luminosity

  • "Can I join?" Derek voiced in a manner that was more of a statement than a question, striding over and greeting his sister with a quick nuzzle. Kaia's flower crowns were gaining some sort of popularity within SunClan, and the young tom could see why. She was naturally kind and her offer of crowns were difficult to turn down. However, this also came with Kaia having an abundance of friends within the clan, something Derek was apprehensive about. Why she would want to talk to anyone outside of himself and the rest of the siblings? People could hurt Kaia, and Derek wasn't going to let that happen under his watch. The tomkit's murky gaze ran over Alessandro, Angelpaw, and Levi, all of whom he didn't know. Der inwardly winced. He didn't put himself out there, exactly, but not even knowing the names of his clanmates was in another league. "I'm Derek Wren," the boy said flatly, ear giving a quick flick.

Satisfied with the introduction, Derek turned his attention back to Alessandro and Kaia, staring almost incredulously at the former as he apologized in nearly every sentence. It was impressive. Der was tempted to ask why he apologized so much, only pausing in consideration of how the anxious tom would react. More apologies, maybe? Instead, the dilute calico watched Eleo chomping on the flower petals, reaching out a paw to gently bat at the hamster.

  • leviathan remained silent as a shadow as he listened to the others speak, appearing like he didn't have much to say. however, he was keeping track of everything that was going on, the movements and the comments that were made. his short tail twitched behind him as his piercing gaze softened ever so slightly as he focused on kaia. for some peculiar reason, her vibrant personality was refreshing to him and he had gotten slightly close to the younger hybrid. he even felt a slight twinge of brotherly protectiveness when he saw her at times become shy and tended to hide behind him when there were strangers she was unsure were good or not. it was nice to have some piece of family he supposed yet he would never truly admit it outloud. remembering her question about the ambassador program enjoying her flowercrowns as gifts for their allies, the older arcanium shrugged his broad shoulders as he muttered "i'm sure suga might accept the idea due to it being harmless and beneficial to allies." of course, levi pointed out the pros or cons of a situation before adding his own personal comment. "when i visit riverclan, i'll be sure to add your flowercrowns into the basket." he had heard that many ambassadors tended to visit clans with gift baskets, probably to show that they meant no harm but instead, appreciation.

with that, his monotone glare sharpened as he focused on the unfamiliar child. he raised a nonexistent eyebrow at the mention of the kid's name. alessandro. he forced himself to not stereotype the solid brown colored tom as the japanese bobtail could already tell that he wasn't one to be on the confident side. especially since the child allowed kaia to speak for him, it caused his bulletmetal gaze to narrow, wondering what the hell was up with this kid. yet, when alessandro finally spoke, his features seemed to soften a bit, guessing that perhaps alessandro was simply not used to being around people and publically speaking. levi had grown in a desolate area where no one really clicked together since everyone believed in the idea that only themselves mattered. nonetheless, he had managed to adapt to the silent brooding mood of the others and when he arrived to sunclan, he was slightly taken back about how open everyone was to each other. he was blunt and honest. levi didn't do emotional though, he disliked speaking about what really was going on inside his skull. his velvety onyx ears twitched at the apology and simply blinked in silent response before opening his jaws to introduce himself but stopped himself when he noticed the sudden excitement alessandro now expressed before shifting back to apologizing. leviathan remained silent for a few moment before clearing his throat and replying "nice meeting you, alessandro. my name is leviathan. like kaia, you can just call me levi if you prefer...and quit apologizing. there's nothing to apologize for so don't worry about it." the blunt short tom glanced up to watch the taller form of angelpaw walk in to question the kids' motives behind the whole flower situation. he had no clue what flowercrowns were until sunclan so he had been curious if it was just a sunclan thing or a thing that was common in other clans as well.

another fucking stranger. what in shitting hell, how big was sunclan? leviathan remained rooted to his spot as he listened to kaia explain when another stranger came in to question if he could join. the nuzzle that was given was a hint that they were close to kaia so leviathan scratched off he idea that derek was a complete stranger that was fresh to sunclan. then he heard the name with the surname of a type of bird. the charcoal tom simply nodded for he had already introduced himself and desired not to do it again like he was some sort of fucking drone. with that, he glanced away up at the sky while waiting for others to chatter about their situation.

  • Anxiety was something that was easy for the golden-eyed tom to recognize. He'd dealt with it from a young age, and although it had very different effects on him than it did Alessandro, he could still tell that it was the cause of all of the apologizing and awkward sentencing. For this reasoning, the way the other spoke didn't bother him as much, and he decided to ignore it and instead focus on the topic at paw. Flowercrowns. While he did believe that he looked stunning in them, he wasn't exactly sure how to make them himself, and he wasn't interested in learning. He admired the craftsmanship of those who made the crowns for him, and would wear them like a twoleg model would when bragging about the dress designer. "I'm sure our allies would enjoy some flowercrowns," Commented the male as he joined, "Maybe you could base the flower types and colors off of the ally you're creating it for. Make it meaningful, or some shit." He gave Alessandro a dip of his head in greeting, not really one for official introductions when it came to someone who was already a part of the clan.

Kaia Arcanium Leonidas || 5 moons || Princess of Sunclan

"Course you c-ah!" Very few people knew not to touch Eleodoro, it wasn't Derek's fault or anything. It was evident to few that Kai was very attached to Eleo, she was never apart from him. Yet while Eleo's injuries didn't transfer to Kai like her's did to him, touch was something shared by both entities. The bat at Eleo sent Kai's torso shifting off to her left, as if she was shying away from a paw that wasn't there. This sent Eleo into a series of angry squeals and furious squeaks, as he was unable to talk in this form.

There was one big taboo in Kaia's mind. Do not touch her companion, her daemon.

As soon as Derek's paw left the small mammal he went painfully scurrying over to Kai, climbing up her leg before being helped into the empty sling. She then acted like the strange even had not happened, talking to those who spoke to her. "That's great, I'll make each one as unique as can be. Maybe I can try to make them live longer too."

  • [ thank you for all the welcome! i'm sure to enjoy my stay in sunclan with this new bab <3 ]

new people. unfamiliar creatures. new faces.

all too easily, such a sight of others that he doesn't know and has not heard about came forward, emerged and joined what was going to be a private flower crown making lesson for him that kaia promised. that was supposed to be it- nothing else included. instead, here he was, facing not only one stranger, but others that came forward and inquired of what they were doing. eyes were everywhere, possibly looking at him, judging him. he was overwhelmed because he knew that one of them was a high position, an incredibly important high position and the dread that brewed in his stomach doubled, tripled even by the fact that that others came along and have their own thoughts and feelings regarding him. and then suddenly, he was getting short of breath, panting slightly, his front claws digging in the dirt beneath them over and over. he felt ashamed, but he knew he has to relax. he can't have a panic attack- not here, not where everyone can see. slowly, he inhaled slowly, exhaled, shakily. he can do this. he can face this. just do it one at a time and then he can try getting near kaia, ask for a wordless assistance because this was just too much for him, too overwhelming, like stuffing more items than it can fit in the closet of people that he can face at one time.

first, was the other feline that approached them- the one that alessandro had first gotten anxious about, as he was a stranger, and still kind of is until he knew other further information about him is revealed aside from his name. his name was leviathan, and with words about how he constantly apologizes spoken to him, he bit his lip, stressing more evident with how he fumbled with the ground harsher than usual, in an attempt to get a grip on himself. he can handle this whole ordeal. one at a time, just one at a time, even as he was tempted to take a few steps nearer to kaia. he responded, eyes turning away from the other feline in his own shame at how it was bad to apologize so much "s-sorry- sorry for apologizing to much i-i'll try not to do it again , levi, sorry." it was only after those words that he realized that he had apologized over to leviathan. he swallowed the lump in his throat. he hoped that was alright and was proper of him to do. he just couldn't take off apologizing- it was too much of a habit to get rid off.

next was derek- who had first appeared before levi responded. alessandro couldn't see any harm in him, but he felt like those eyes- probably judged him, and he winced, a forced smile now directed at him, a short, curt nod "i'm alessandro. call me aless." that was polite enough, despite how jittery he felt, and the tense muscles in his shoulders slowly relaxed as he took another few backward steps closer to kaia. he would also do it to angelpaw, but since she interacted with kaia, he felt it safe enough to not respond to her. and lastly, was suga- the leader himself and the nervous increased by a tenfold now that he knew how important he is to the clan- but it seems that they're all focused on meeting kaia, and not him. that's good. he didn't like attention, as much as he wished that he could tolerate the attention given over to him, he was thankful he was not alone in facing this whole thing. taking the last few backward steps, it made him close to kaia, who squirmed for some reason and his ears flattened once again, gulped the lump that once again formed on his throat. he was doing so many things wrong, and everything was so tense despite how he felt like he dealt with them already. choosing to be courteous, he all gazed at all the new faces, stared, before speaking for the last time "i-it's nice to meet everyone." and that was all he said for now, as he attempted to calm himself from the overwhelming amount of new people.
