  • / pre-adoption, of course! sorry for the chunky writing, i was super distracted while writing this.

she was running. always running. from a past that did not exist, and a future long gone. without a doubt, there was nothing left for her in a dark, cruel world. the girl remembered absolutely nothing about what she left behind- hell, she didn't even know she had left behind anything. for her first new memory would truly be made once she awoke within sunclan territory, the place she'd undoubtedly grow to call home.

the young feline's form could be seen flying through the trees, the steep slope not seeming to bother her in the slightest as she ran. her golden eyes bore into the woods before her. it was as if she had been possessed by a demon, and perhaps that was true; but it seemed like she was still herself, in a strange sense of the word. she quickly passed the point where the scent of sunclan grew distinct, not seeming to notice. she was still running, and for how long, nobody knew. she had to keep moving, and it was like her body knew exactly where to go. her outsider scent mingled with the scent of the clan, but the girl didn't seem to notice. it seemed like the colorful buildings in the distance were sinking into the ground as she began to descend upon a beach town. the rocky earth began to level out, and her quick paws slowed. finally, she came to a complete stop at the base of the mountain range. the buildings of civilization peeked out from behind the thick forest, and the feline relaxed, if only very slightly. while cold and machine-like, she was very much alive, and she glanced around the area in search of... something. dark eyes locked onto a far point in the forest, and she started running again.

it was a very small clearing within the forest of the mountain range bordering what was known as the town of litore. the tiny, empty area was just as she had expected it to be. just a small patch of grass and light within a huge forest and territory. the perfect place for her to finally rest. the girl wasted no time in this, and before she knew it, she had fallen into a deep sleep. her unknown scent quickly grew stale, but maybe she'd be woken up soon. who knew?

  • Nome didn't travel to Litore often but she wanted to surprise her friend with a collection of seashells she believed he could use in his art. Nome was gathering said seashells when she got off task, distracted by the beautiful sights of the beachfront city she began to wander further and further into town until she was no longer in town, she found herself in a more familiar space, one that she enjoyed far better, the forest and mountainous region of the territory. Nome was trotting along, listening to the birds call. Suddenly though, they stopped. Why? Why weren't the birds singing anymore? Suddenly she found out why when an unfamiliar scent flooded her nostrils. Curious, the husky followed it, trotting into a clearing to discoverer a sleeping stranger. Perhaps they were injured? Out of worry, she poked the creature lying on the ground "hey are you alright" she'd ask in an attempt to wake them. If they didn't wake she'd have to drag them to camp themselves to treat them.. she wasn't quite sure how she'd do that

    [hey welcome to Sun Clan!]

Kaia Arcanium Leonidas || 5 moons || Princess of Sunclan

"Are they okay? I can help you carry them to camp...I can't control gravity too much but I can make her lighter." The catsune asked, coming up beside the canine. In her worry, the child caused white flowers to sprout rapidly in the area around her a result of her being unable to control that power. While she was very good at making a specific color or type of flower appear, she couldn't control how many would sprout or if she had a strong emotion, anything at all.

  • "hm?" the noise came from the now-awake feline, punctuated slightly with a interrogative mark. she felt a paw on her side, and she lazily blinked open her dark gold eyes. it felt as if she hadn't seen the sun for hours. light spilled through an opening in the canopy, illuminating the small patch of clear ground she was lying in. though she had just woken up, she still felt drained and tired... it was a strange sensation, but questioning that feeling of hers was not her top priority. of course, the place she seemed to have been taking a nap in was not a familiar one. the voices she heard around her were not familiar either, and neither were the scents flooding her nostrils. no, unfamiliar was a strange word to describe the things she sensed.

for she did not remember anything.

through what method her memories were removed she did not know. for all she knew, she could have been sleeping in the small area for ages and was just now waking up for the first time since birth. no matter how much she clawed her mind, she could find nothing about her past and where she came from. nothing but a name. "cassandra". no memories were required for her to know that the name cassandra belonged to a girl, and she knew that she herself was a girl. using simple deduction, the feline figured that the name floating around in her mind was her own, perhaps a remnant from the life she once had. still, why a name out of all things? it wasn't like she was ever going to use that name, because it sounded like a name given to a princess. and she sure as hell wasn't one. somehow these thoughts managed to make themselves clear in her otherwise foggy mind, while all her sensory input mixed together in a huge, chaotic jumble. it was sort of like being born, except unlike a newborn, she seemed to know how to speak. "who... are you people?" the words spilled out of her own mouth before she even knew what they meant. instantly, she felt more awake now that she confirmed her ability to control her movements. her eyes snapped open, alert, while she slowly sat up on the ground. despite the thoughts speeding through her head, her limbs were still sore, possibly from being still for so long. the young girl winced at the sound of her own voice. it seemed like she had no recollection of that, either. any idiot could tell that she was suffering from a strange case of amnesia- way to be a cliché.

    Heartbreak

Kaia Arcanium Leonidas || 5 moons || Princess of Sunclan

"Oh you're awake! I'm Kaia Leonidas and this is my companion Eleo." The femme said, introducing both of them to her, pointing to little Eleo in the sling around her neck. Kai sat down and began to craft a flowercrown from the white blooms around her, magic working quickly. It was one of the most common things she used her telekinesis for so speed came naturally after doing it twice daily for most of her life. She floated it onto the golden feline's head with a smile. "Welcome to Sunclan...erm..can you tell us who you are too?"

  • Another had turned up on Sunclan's borders with no idea as to how they had gotten there in the first place, oh boy. Angelpaw gave a side glance to Aegis but convinced themselves that the feline was in no way deserving of any resentment. It wasn't as if anybody who had turned up at the border without knowledge of where they were had done it on purpose, that would be quite the paradox the kitsune mused. So Ang forced themselves to keep a polite albeit flat expression upon their face to hide any uneasiness.

Coming up to the gathered members, Angelpaw decided to build off of what Kaia had offered to Aegis. "If you haven't got anywhere to stay, you're more than welcome to bunk here for now." Or forever, but the kitsune was always working off the assumption that people came and left.

    (welcome to sunclan !! :^))

  • The pink accented tom often visited the Town of Litore, especially when he was trying to make a decision. It reminded him of his past, the friends and family he used to live here with before their capitol city was a part of anything. The colorful beaches and relaxing coves were the best places for his naps, and this place also had the sun pool, which gave him connection to come sort of higher power. Really, it was a place of comfort for the black scleraed hybrid, and so it was no surprise to see him walking along the borders of the town.

Suga stopped when he heard the sound of his three clan-mates, and poked his head through the trees and bushes to see what was going on. He came upon the others surrounding a young feline, seemingly lost and alone. "Do you have family around?" Asked the four winged male in addition to their others' questions.

    [ welcome officially to sunclan !! ]

  • / thanks everyone!! :]

she glanced up at the ivory-gold femme, who had introduced herself as kaia leonidas. she was confused for a moment, then seemed to recall a piece of general knowledge. something told her that the winged sunclanner didn't have two given names, and that one was a surname- yes, that seemed like the natural way to do things. leonidas didn't sound like a female name to her anyways, so she was glad to have finally found an answer to one of her great many unspoken questions about her reality and how it worked. she felt like it had always pleased her to learn new things, even before she lost all memories of her past. assuming she had a past in the first place- why she finally awoke here out of all places was beyond her. there was also the question of why kaia kept a pet even though she was an animal herself, which seemed extremely odd to the feline. even stranger was the fact that kaia was able to use what was apparently magic. she shook her head, trying to take everything in at once. "hey, it's nice to meet you and all, but do you know why i'm here? in this 'sunclan' place?" the girl asked, purposely avoiding the other's question about her name. it was something she'd like to keep personal for now, at least until she decided whether or not cassandra was truly her name or not. either way, she was probably going to name herself something much more badass and interesting. nobody would judge her for changing her name if they didn't know she had a different one previously.

another creature, presumably a resident of sunclan, approached next. they seemed to be a sort of fox, but with two tails instead of one. a mutation of sorts? who knew. the feline turned toward them, her expression slightly quizzical. what they said was entirely unexpected, yet it made complete sense. "you mean that you want me to come live in, uh, clansun." it was true that she didn't have a home that she knew of, but it was likely that she had forgotten all about wherever she used to live. it was likely that there was a home waiting for her somewhere, as well as family members longing for her to return. still... she might have been a nobody, and maybe this complete memory wipe was a chance for her to start a new life. the girl's eyes narrowed. it was all coming together too neatly for it not to all be a trap, and there was probably some cult brainwashing stuff going on. angelpaw was right. she would only stay "for now" until she remembered her past or until everything turned to shit. "doesn't look like i have a choice, so i'll stay 'till i have somewhere else to go," she reluctantly decided, light ears flicking around out of slight nervousness. she didn't know what kind of people she was about to associate herself with, or what exactly sunclan is in the first place, but it was the best course of action.

the hopefully last arrival spoke, inserting himself into the practically nonexistent conversation. it was more like an interrogation. everyone was asking questions about herself, most of which she hadn't answered. how could she answer questions about herself when she didn't even know anything about herself? at least the strange-looking white-and-pink creature's question she was able to answer with a little salt sprinkled in. "what do you think? hell no, my family isn't around here." her voice suddenly dropped, as well as her defensive behavior, and glanced around at the few gathered around herself. "to tell you all the truth, i don't really remember anything about myself. and my past. so yeah, i'm basically a lost fucking fairytale princess without the fairytale princess part." she shrugged, pretending not to care. but she did care, and a lot. emotions sucked. "and, um, my name is... aegis. you can all call me that."

    god, she was awkward.

  • (aa- sorry for not responding, ive been ignoring so many threads i say im gonna do hm but never do lmao but also ive got no reason so sorry ;3;)

So this girl really didn't know where she was huh? Concerning. Aegis was going down a path where Angelpaw had seen Zuko go down, and the boy was so hot-headed and jumpy that Ang took a new more cautious perspective to Aegis, but those thoughts were probably stupid. With how soft-spoken and polite Aegis seemed it was almost criminal to think of the feline as anything ominous.

Chuckling slightly at the femme's jumbled up attempt at the clan's name (which cougar wasn't sure whether intentional or not, either way it was adorable) Angelpaw decided to put Aegis out of her misery by correcting the feline. "Actually it's still just 'Sunclan' but um, welcome anyways." Welcoming the newest member, Angel watched on with raised non-existent eyebrows at Aegis' attempts to hide their strong emotions. Ang musing at the complete opposite predicament that the other feline had herself in, finding amusement in the most silliest of things was probably Ang's thing by this point. "Well I can't offer you any existential advice, I can in fact give you health advice. I'm one of the medics by the way." Ang wasn't quite sure why they had offered their assistance, but it seemed like a friendly thing to do. The kitsune had trouble finding the energy to actually care for most, but Aegis wasn't nasty or anything so Ang would tolerate.

  • / that's totally fine! .o. i just wanted to have a thread to respond to without feeling,, awkward lmao

the helpful words didn't have much of a positive effect on aegis. instead of just accepting angelpaw's offering, she pretended to ignore them, unable to think of something useful to say. a 'thanks' for the welcome wouldn't be needed, she felt, as well as medical help. as far as she could tell, she wasn't injured in any sort of way. there wasn't anything wrong with her that she could see, but there was always the possibility of having some sort of strange disease. the feline turned her neck back to look at her body as if she believed there would be something on her pelt indicating a medical ailment. realizing that it was quite a stupid idea, she allowed the moments to pass in silence and shuffled her sweaty paws awkwardly. she always sweated a lot when she was nervous, this being one of those times, but it was barely noticeable. the feline exhaled a loud breath of warm air as she stood there, golden eyes turned upwards to the afternoon sky where the sun glowed brightly. ah, the sun... somewhere under that near star were the people part of their past life. they supposed they belonged in sunclan for the time being until they regained their memories. could it be more than a coincidence that the clan was named for the sun as well?

she blinked, the rays of light in her eyes scattering as she did so. turning her head down in the medic's direction again, she'd look into their eyes with her own rather serious ones. "i'm guessing that you can't help with health issues regarding loss of memory, then," she huffed, letting out another hollow breath of air. aegis knew that medics were basically doctors that weren't "professionally" trained, which also meant that they usually didn't know anything about mental issues. only the pointless physical ones that could easily be healed, like scratches or bruises or bumps. she didn't understand why some people got so worked out about physical injuries- for some reason, she felt like she had never really been affected by getting hurt. it was always emotions and things that bothered her. the girl swallowed, allowing an air of coldness to come over her. she had already fucked up with the 'good first impression' thing, with her awkward tendencies and general un-likableness (or so she thought of herself), but maybe there was still a chance for her to come across as the mature and responsible person she was. today was just... an off day for her. "i don't think you introduced yourself to me yet. it's nice to meet you, nonetheless." she dipped her head towards the ground. it was important not to seem impolite while being a mature and responsible young adult.

  • For someone who looked no more than six moons old, this child spoke very maturely. Even the word 'hell' had popped out of the young feline's mouth, which surprised him. He wondered for a second if she had grown up too fast, if something in her past had caused her to speak this way, but he soon realized that even she didn't know the answer to his mental questions. She had no memory, spoke of herself like a 'lost fucking fairytale princess, without the fairytale princess part'. He frowned slightly, thinking back to his young apprentice days when he could relate to that. With a shake of his head, he would make an impulsive decision. Even though it took little time to come to this conclusion, he would never regret the offer. "Aegis, I officially award you with the title of Fairytale Princess of SunClan. You'll be my daughter now." He gave her a nod, got to his paws, and began a walk towards the capitol city. He assumed that she and the others would follow, so he did not say another word.

[ rip sorry for the late response, i have been so behind on threads ]
