It was a clear night in the territory. The sky was clear, and everything seemed normal. Pleasent, even. The moon was full, and the stars were shining so bright that they looked closer than ever before. You stop to admire them simply because it's not something your used to seeing, but as you watch you realize that the stars are moving, coming close, and that they aren't really stars at all.

All around you they begin to fall, led by one that twice as big as the others, flaming rocks the sizes of horses that come crashing everywhere- into the forest, in through the opening in the caverns roof that houses the castle- everywhere. And as you approach the one nearest to you and the fire dies out and the smoke clears, you can see that it looks like a fossil, some odd, featureless creature with gapaing jaws filled with rows of teeth. And as you watch those teeth begin to glow an eerie blue, and the rocky casing begins to melt away as fur blacker than anything you've ever seen grows in it's place.

It's alive, and it's not friendly.

These animalistic creatures are described as gorilla-wolves by those who see them and refuse to refer to them as aliens. Nobody knows exactly what they are or where they came from aside from the sky, or even why they came, but they're everywhere and their aggressive. The hunt with a pack mentality, and have no discernable features outside of their muzzles and nose. They have no eyes or ears that are visible, and their fur is so black that it doesn't even reflect light. They look like a massive black mass with glowing blue jaws filled with razor sharp teeth.

The Setting I've posted an image of the castles first floor below for a very crude visual representation of the castles first floor layout.

    0. The Main Entrance- two heavy wooden doors that lead into the castle.

    1. The Great Hall - off to the back left is the kitchen, and at the very back of the room is the entrance to the Courtyard. the rest of the room is filled with large circular tables for dining, and the far left wall is a seating area with plush couches and chairs arranged around various fireplaces.

    2. The Courtyard- A large watchtower stands in each corner of the courtyard the four black squares. In it's center is the fountain where Fourth calls for the meetings, and at the very back is the large Garden that Osric organized.

    3. The West Wing - is filled with empty rooms used for recovering patients, along with the Medic/Red Leaders quarters where all the healing is done. Various supply closets can be found here as well

    4. The East Wing. These are the living quarters for most members. The HP's sleep on the upper floor.

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

"Look out!" I yelled, sending out a blast of electricity to try and explode the incoming rock. I was in the Courtyard, and meteors the size of horses were raining down all over the territory. Was it End Game? I didn't see anyone summoning these things? As my eyes glowed red and the reddish black bolt shot outwards toward the oncoming rock though, nothing happened. The electricity was completely defected, and I was forced to teleport out of the way as it came crashing down just clear of the fountain.

  • ♥ ― The girl was startled by this. Then, she realized what was happening. Hamtaro was deaf and he was in danger. The rock came down towards him and she shot past Fourthwall, leaping over her hamster baby and letting the rock hit her. She would rear up, flinging the rock away from her. A grunt of pain escaping her. "What the.. What is happening Fallout?" She asked as her baby crawled back inside her mane.

  • It took not a moment for Link to steel himself up and burst through the side doors, landing in the plush grasses of the main courtyard. He glimpsed Fourth shooting a sudden wave of light towards the hurtling crags. He had that covered. Meanwhile, Jello made being pelted by a rock look painless. Okay then. Link clearly had not the resistance to pain nor the special abilities his clan mates had, though, he evaded a particularly close striking stone.

Was the end of the world nigh? Were they all going to crumble into ash? He had not the time to seriously ponder their implied fate.

This was one of the kits small moments of weakness, sure he acted big, but he was still a kid. Knee's knocking, and whole body shaking, he only managed to squeak out a short "W-what's h-happening?" It was so quiet it could hardly be heard, he didnt know where to hide, or whom to hide under. So he just sat there, a scrunched shivering mess.

  • The female heard him though and turned. With Hamtaro in her mane once more, bigger things were at hand. Darting through the crowd, she would attempt to place herself over him. Sheltering him from the raining rocks. "I don't know sweetheart, but stay under me until it stops." She offered soothingly.

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

My jaw clenched with frustration as I appeared in front of double doors to the castle. I couldn't stop these things with electricity, so that meant super strength or teleportation was all I had left. How many of them could I teleport before I collapsed from the effort of it? I wanted to order them all into the castle, but that didn't seem smart. From inside we couldn't tell what was coming at us or from which direction, but out in the courtyard I could at least protect them. "Link, help me get everyone together in the Courtyard where I can get eyes on them." I called to the head of my Shadows, trusting that he'd be able to get everyone together while I put up defense of the Courtyard. Spotting another massive, flaming rock heading through the opening in the cavern and toward the courtyard I'd stride forward and boot a chunk of rock skyward with superstrength. With a thunderous CRACK! it struck the incoming meteor and turned it off course, causing it to crash outside of camp somewhere.

The pregnant hound had been woken up by several cracks and bangs, the usually comical sounds coming to life in the form of Fourthwall's attacks. She stalled near the front doors of the castle, startled by the falling rocks. Her first though was, in all honesty, her unborn children. She didn't want them by any means but... she felt she needed to protect them still. After some annoying back and forth, the young girl approached Fourthwall, stubbornly standing by the man who would father her first litter.

"What should I do?" pregnant or not, she was a deputy, and she wasn't going to stand around and do nothing.

  • OSRIC !

    ooc// late ^-^

Osric wasn't much of a night owl, and so when the first meteor hit, the sudden, startling noise woke him from a deep sleep. He climbed out of bed and trotted over to his window, where he stretched up to place his front paws on the windowsill and peer out the glass into the cavern. More meteors were thundering down, and the noise that accompanied each one was deafening. Instinct told him to hide, but the deputy had a duty to his fellow rogues, and he needed to make sure they were safe.

Racing out of his room and through the castle corridors, Osric came to a halt at the towering front doors. Fourth and Xia had already gathered there, both looking suitably worried about the situation. 'Do we have a plan?' he asked, looked between the wolves.

  • Upon Fourth's command, Link gave an agreeing bob of his head. He bounded and weaved his way across the place and had another unwanted close encounter with one of the objects. The ferocity that it had exhibited would remain with him for the pent up energy remained clinging to his hind paws. He could feel that lasting heat into the moment that he reached Figaro and Jelloshots. There he tossed his head towards the center and quietly urged them to, "Head over there. You are under order of Fourthwall to do so."

The female looked under her at the apprentice. "Link, I got this one. Make sure Xia gets there." She mused as she attempted to pick up Figaro by the scruff. If she did so, she would then carry him swiftly over to Fourth.

A hiss, possibly his sharpest yet, escaped the kit in protest at being raised and treated like such a... well, kit! He didnt deserve this foul treatment! He deserved better. Much better."Hey let me down will ya!?" Who cares if the world was dying around them, he had a reputation to uphold. He couldn't let himself be scared again, lest he embrace his downfall.

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

I was relieved when Osric and Xia made their way out of the castle. I still hadn't caught sight of Ululare or anyone, but I was prepping for all out war. There was no way my clan was in any shape to take on something like this. Two of them were pregnant, and half of the rest didn't posses powers, which were necessary for this kind of crap. I'd been about to tell Xia to help Link get the rest of the clan into the Courtyard -fully expecting the rainstorm of meteors to continue and destroy the castle-when things suddenly stopped. There was a finally CRASH! as one last meteor flew through the caverns roof to crash into the water surrounding our camps 'island' and then things went quiet. Dead quiet. I let my gaze linger on the sky for a few seconds longer to make sure that nobody was about to fire things up again, but when the night sky went unchanging overhead and nothing happened, I turned toward Xia with a look that told her I wasn't convinced it was over. "I'm not sure. I thought it might have been End Game but.." But End Game wouldn't have just stopped like this. "Osric, head up into one of the Watchtowers and let me know what the damage to the rest of the camp and cavern are like. It looks like it's over, but I'll cover you from down here if it picks back up again." I'd say before turning my gaze to Xia. "You've still got that ice power, right? Go make sure that thing is out properly." I'd say, gesturing to the large rock that had almost crushed me and Jello. It looked like the fire was out, but it was smoking heavily enough to tain a good section of the courtyard and I needed clear sightlines right now.

OOC; Osric I'll PM you the damage and Xia, your welcome to have her notice the fossil-form in the rock xD

The female ignored the others protests. Trotting over, she would stop by the leader. Setting him down and becoming firm with him. "Listen. I don't want to lose you kid. We have no clue what is gong on, so ether stick close or hop on my back and ride. But if you would rather me leave you for dead.." She offered with a wave of her tails.

  • Xia nodded faintly to Fourthwall as she was instructed to put out any remaining fires. She waddled close to the final meteor, already layering the ground with frost before taking the final steps and inspecting it all. The smaller meteors didn't seem to be much of anything, at least with the char and frost covering them, yet the final one had a weird... Feature into the side. "Fourth, I think we have alien shit going on here." Xia rumbled as she sniffed the fossil, ears flicking back. It didn't smell good, that's for sure.

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

The look I gave to Xia was probably something along the lines of 'wtf?'. Aliens, was she being serious? I dind't even know how to respond to that, and while I made sure to keep a supersensed ear trained on Osric as he set off on his own little mission I'd quickly make my way over to stand beside my other Deputy so I could get a look at whatever she was talking about.

And in a while she was right, though it didn't really look like much. There was no spaceship, no little green men in silver suits. Just an ugly mummified body embedded in the rock like a fossil. "It's an ugly fucker." I'd muse aloud as I noted the gaping, toothy jaws and elongated skull. There were nose holes but nothing for eyes or eyes. Weird. "Whatever it is it looks dead." I'd say before turning my gaze back toward the sky to keep an eye on Osric! in the tower.

  • Paperpaw had no idea what was going on. Rocks were falling from the sky? Everybody looked so worried...what was going on? Just the mere thought of how others were panicking terrified her. This was unnatural, this wasn't supposed to happen! This was against nature, wasn't it? Hell, Pap didn't know. All she could think about was death looming over her head as the meteors crashed down. The child quickly darted out of the way of one, and then another. They wouldn't stop. What the hell? A confused expression would briefly trigger on her face before it went to blank. Why was she suddenly experiencing a lack of emotions recently? Damn, all of this had to be happening all at once. "Uncle Fourthwall, what's going on?"

  • OSRIC !

Osric nodded and raced toward the watchtowers. He bolted up the nearest one, jumping onto the window ledge and peering out to look at the cavern. The deputy's eyes widened in horror; the strange meteors had landed at several points inside the cave, and smoke was rising up through the hole in the stone ceiling above them.

He looked down and spotted Fourthwall, who was waiting to hear what Osric was seeing. The tom took a breathe to calm himself before explaining the scene around them: 'Alright, uh, the island over there - the little one - it's been hit by maybe two dozen of the meteors. There's a lot of smoke. The castle's been hit by three, but from what I can tell, the damage isn't as bad as it could've been. I don't know how many hit outside the cavern, but it's gotta be a lot,' Osric was about to jump back down when something in the distance caught his eye. He blinked hard, thinking that maybe adrenaline was making him imagine things, but nothing about what he'd seen changed. 'Fourth? Not to alarm anyone, but there's something moving over in the distance. I can't tell what it is, but it's fast, and it looks like it's heading for the castle.'

"JUST BECAUSE WE CHECK OUT GUNS AT THE DOOR"

Paperpaw had shown up, good. That meant I could take one more off the list of potential fatalities. "I'm not sure yet, some sort of meteor shower. We need to stay together until I know what this is." It was too hard to keep track of everyones safety if they were off wandering.

As Osric called out a frown would settle on my lips. Something was coming this way? I didn't like the sound of that. Before I had a proper chance to reply though a snapping and cracking sound to my left caught my attention, and I turned toward the meteor to find that things were not looking as they had a moment before. "Everybody get back!"

  • The meteor had crashed and the second it had, it began to cool. And as it began to cool, the mummified creature captured in the stone began to change. It started on the inside, where those gathered around hadn't noticed, and by the time it started effecting the outside of the body it was far too late. The dry skin became moist and soft, alive, and suddenly thick black fur -so black it swallowed the light so that the moons glow didn't even send a reflective sheen off it- sprang out of it's pores, growing at a sickening rate. The inside of the jaws began to glow a light blue, and suddenly it was dragging in a ragged breath, it's clawed hand-feet clenching as it began to pull itself free from the stone.

Dead and mummified moments ago. Now living, breathing, and snarling. As it rose to it's paws it looked around the group, only it had no eyes and instead it was the large nose at the end of it's muzzle working to identify what was before it instead. It let out a terrible shriek of rage and then lunged for Xia, it's massive jaws aiming to grab onto anything it could to cause injury. It didn't know what it was fighting or what it's odds would be. There were only two thoughts on it's mind and they were more like an instinct than a coherent thought. To eat was one of them.
