  • Molly had thought it over for a while. Lucas had been all by himself, frostbitten and abandoned and... orphaned? Whatever the case was, she felt bad for the child and wanted to do something about it. The rose-tinted doe made her way to the medic's den, where he was still recovering from the cold, and tapped a hoof on the ground to announce herself. "Lucas?" she said softly. "Are you there? I want to talk to you."

    Lucius Nepharious

  • Lucas was sitting in the medic's den, waiting for attention to his wounds. His recent frostbite had been healing up well and the cuts were closing nicely. He also may have also been in the medic's den for a bruised shoulder, along with his other injuries, but... he'd blame Abraham for that. Training was meant to be challenging after all!

    The puppy's attention raised from his scarred paw pads and to the deer once she made herself clear with the hoof tap. His ears perked up and a smile dawned his face. There she was! The woman he would graciously thank for saving his life till he died. "Molly!" he yipped loudly, despite her quiet tone. Quickly, he rushed over to her and looked up a her with wide eyes. "What's up?" the Great Dane inquired.

  • MOLLY;;

    She gave him a soft smile. "Hey, kiddo. I wanted to talk to you about your family situation." She sat in front of him so that she didn't loom over the puppy. "Have you got anyone here in BlizzardClan?" It might've been a heavy question. She quickly adjusted it. "I mean... if you don't have anyone to live with, would it be okay with you for me to adopt you?"

  • Oh. That was hard topic. His family situation was a mix of things. He didn't talk about it often but let's just say he didn't consider them family for abandoning him in the frozen tundra without any means to survive. Luckily, she rerouted the question so he didn't have to talk about it anyways.

    What came next surprised him. She, the deer, wanted to adopt him, the Great Dane? Now that was gnarly, but he felt a strong bond towards her ever since she picked him up out of the tundra. It was only curtesy to assume she was the closest thing he had to a mother. He didn't even have to think. Lucas's tail could of created a tornado with how fast it was going. He was thrilled. "Please do, ma'a- Mam, mama, mom, mum, mother, ma, errr..." He ran out of names to call his new mother. It was too overwhelming. The trainee couldn't even think.

    "You're my Molly-mom," he announced. It sounded like something you would call a drug lord, but he wouldn't know that.

  • MOLLY;;

    Tears welled in her eyes at his quick acceptance and she giggled. "I'm- I'm glad you're letting me do this, Lucas. I'm glad to be your mom." She patted his head gently with a hoof. She wouldn't know about the drug reference either, which was unfortunate because nearly everyone else would. "Wanna go tell the clan? I'm excited, haha..."

  • Lucas accepted the hoof to his head with a snicker and then cuddled up against her. He noticed quickly that she was crying. In an attempt to make her stop, he tried to give her a quick lick to the face. Lucas would recoil from the salty tears quickly though. Yuck!

    "I would love to... Molly-ma," he barked with glee. Eventually, he'd have to settle on a nickname for his mother.

    Maybe he'll mention the nickname out of embarrassment when they grew old together. Someday he'll find out about drugs... for now, he is an innocent puppy.

  • MOLLY;;

    Molly gave a quiet startled bleat when he licked her face but she was still grinning happily. "Silly Luke." Nicknames seemed to be a thing for them already. "Alright, let's go!" She stood and nudged him gently towards the entrance, letting him set the pace in case he was too badly hurt and needed to go slowly.

  • The Dane was nudged and then walked through the entrance with his tail wagging excitedly. Lucas wanted to scream 'I've got an actual parent that loves me!' but that'd be a bit awkward and would ruin his social status within the clan. No one wanted to hear his daddy issues.

    ♤ ♣ ♡ ♦ -Alice smiled as was laying on a sunny patch of ground near the camp. She, was again, had her head in the clouds. She couldn't help but think about how happy she was here. She had finally found a true place to call home. Everyone had been so friendly to her, and she appreciated it so much. As a kit the only friendly people she knew was her parents. Every other loner was a bit aggressive or rude. There were barely any kind loners as far as she knew. So, to finally be welcomed somewhere was a blessing.

    At this point she had completely zoned out. She was lost in her thoughts, and for once they were about something other then plants and her identity.It was by far the nicest feeling she had in a while.

  • MOLLY;;

    "Hey, Alice!" Molly didn't want to rub it in or anything, but God, she was so excited. "Guess which two clan members are now a proud little family!" She stood happily with her new child, smiling widely.

    ♤ ♣ ♡ ♦ -Alice snapped out of as she heard a voice greet her, and was a little startled at first. She had only tensed up for a moment, but quickly relaxed as she saw Molly. She listened as the new mother spoke, and smiled brightly at the news she had given her.

    "Hey Molly! I'm happy you both are now family!" She said sounding a bit odd with her words, but she had been a bit out of it. I mean, she had been in a daze beforehand so to respond so quickly made her words probably sound weird. She didn't care though, she was just happy that the young canine was adopted by someone so sweet.

  • MOLLY;;

    To Molly's knowledge, she was to be a mother soon anyway. That wouldn't happen, unfortunately, but she didn't know that. Right now, she had a son and she was beaming with pride. She nodded, understanding what Alice meant. "Thank you!"

    Fadingmoon had been taking a nap in her hut when she heard the excited voice of Molly in the distance. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, the feline padded outside of her hut and made her way over toward the group. "What's going on? I heard a loud voice. Is somebody hurt?"

  • MOLLY;;

    Molly shook her head and looked to Fadingmoon. "No one's hurt. Lucas is my son now!" It was an odd thing to say but it felt good in her heart to say that she had a child. It was all that she had wanted with Lup.

    Fadingmoon did not know who Lucas was, but she was smart enough to piece it together when she saw the Great Dane pup. So Molly was adopting him? Well that was nice. It seemed that BlizzardClan always got the orphans and they all deserved a good home to be in. "Well, congratulations!"
