  • it's.. weird, associating the sanctuary with a territory like this. where are the graves? where is the barn? even the forest here is different, warm sunlight trickling through the canopies rather than the cold and clammy fog she is used to. it confuses her. unnerves her. angers her. "we were fine where we were at." she doesn't understand why all these changes happened— they aren't neccasary! although, as she walks aged roads, crossing paths with someone every couple of minutes, she has to admit that she hasn't seen so many people here before. however, the group is still small, and she doubts the activity will last. "nobody led this place better than i did."

  • There wasn't much for him to compare the Sanctuary's current territory to. He'd never been in another Clan to begin with, so the wide expanse of grassy terrain was one that he admired ignorantly. It was, admirably, a grand place which needed no rejection. The village was confined along the edges of the forest, a lovely place deemed a favorite by his own standards; towering pines and firs amongst bright foliage, a green ocean of solitude. The swampy lands which he rarely treaded were too muggy for several tastes, but the beach provided a view for the ages; even to his blurry gaze, the warm hues clashing against the azure blue of a cloudless sky molded together in indistinguishable abstract art. He would take the beauty of the Sanctuary over anywhere else, even with the uneven ground and occasional thunderstorm. It served him better than faint memories of asphalt, concrete with bloodstains; he could still feel the sharp stench of exhaust fumes and gasoline burning his nose. The smog in his memories had been replaced by clean air and clear skies, so he did his best not to dwell on what was.

His slow gait carried him along a dusty, worn path. Spotty green grass stretched around him on all sides, interrupted by plum trees and unnamed bushes, sunlight shining his way down the uneven passageway. Losteyes found it calming to map out the several trodden dead-ground paths that wove around the territory, could already lead the way around almost a third of them. His pale frame trotted lazily along the quiet land, breathing deep, calm; time alone was time which he cherished. So, of course, of course something had to ruin that. Something being the lumbering frame of the coppery lion, fuming along ahead of him. He caught sight of her jagged frame stomping along in the distance, this time being compelled to stop, squint and stare at the reddish blob that smelt of anger and ash. "What the hell?" he muttered wryly to himself, maw scrunching up into a scowl. Ducking away, he turned a different course with haste, one that would allow him to catch up to the hostile presence of Chica in a roundabout way.

He eventually did catch up to her with him concealed by ferns and other undergrowth at the treeline. Peering with narrowed marshy eyes toward the trespassing foe, he huffed, emerging from his spot with a wry frown pressed against his muzzle. "Looks like that good girl shtick didn't last." he hummed, coming to stand afore Chica, blocking her path with a roll of his shoulders, half-lidded gaze dull. Discontent nestled itself underneath his ribs. "Tresspassing again, Chica?" Losteyes was getting tired of her entitlement.

  • ・゚ ✦ ☾ ° LOUI VUITON BODY BAG - for a woman who claims she has no regrets, she has always been one to dwell on the past. not a day goes by where a thought of her old friends and her old home floods the forefront of her mind, occupies her head until a jarring pain hits her, square in the chest, and she's desperate to be consoled, often finding it in the form of a bottle. chica bickers, unhappy with the cards life has dealt her, enraged at how god plays her, just angry in general, but she says she doesn't regret a damn thing. truthfully, she contradicts herself often, her pride and complaints an unholy mix.

the beast screeches to a halt when her way of direction is intercepted, causing her twin orbs of hellfire to lift up in agitation and her stance shifts from her typical slump to one of authority, disproportionate limbs straightening and posture dominant as she stares down her nose. a cocky and sleek smile crosses her maw, lips parting to unveil sharp teeth, "can't help but be bad, bub. s'all i know." an excuse, one full of shit. oh, she knows she could lie through her teeth, tell him that she was waiting for jells or sky or somebody to meet up with her like she's told the others, but she feels that the deputy would see right through her. too much suspicion between them for him not to. the girl angles her jaw up, tilts her head slightly to a side, and clocks her ears at him, "and I've told ya time 'n time again that i ain't trespassin." she remains unapologetic.

  • The past wracked his brain daily, much like it did Chica, but it never came to him in the form of people. Faint wisps of memories shining through the dead of night, only darkness clinging to the disgusting stench of dirt and copper, gritty asphalt, concrete instead of sky. They were after images printed on his eyelids, scents that still clung to his nose even after he woke up, the taste of blood from a cut on his gums taking him back to a time that he didn't want to remember. The faces, however, were almost completely absent; voices too quiet to be heard. He didn't recall the people of his past, they were pushed from his recollection in what he preferred to call necessity, but was probably more like defense. If only he could get the smell of exhaust out of the confines of his skull.

"But you don't live here." he countered, the obvious truth of his statement causing his words to fly out into the air as chastising, brows raising as his weight shifted forward, as if prompting her to catch on. He returned to his original posture, glassy green eyes flickering toward the distance momentarily, starting to strain. "The Sanctuary is different from when you founded it, I'm afraid. You have no jurisdiction here anymore." he would almost encourage her to get a dual alliance, but that would only mean that he would have to deal with her more often, and he really didn't know how to feel about that. It would be best if she just stayed in her own Clan, wouldn't it?
