He had thought he had done the right thing. He stood up against his father, went against everything he had believed in for years and confessed the truth to him. Even after his father yelled at him for his confession- "Get out! Get out of my sight right now if you know what's good for you!"- he stood his ground. He told Ozai how he was no longer going to follow his orders, and how badly the world hated them. He thought he made the right decision to announce that he was going to join the avatar, and stay behind after the Eclipse to hear what his father had to say about his mother. He could only let the information sink in, learning the truth on why his mother left. For what happened next, he thought he had been ready. But in actuality, he was wrong. Before he knew it, lightning was shot right at him, and managed to catch the lightning in time. But while he redirected it, the lightning went through his heart, shocking his entire body. All he could remember was blacking out with his father looking at him with a smug grin on his face.
"You will learn respect, and suffering will be your teacher."
Those very words rang out through Zuko's ears, as he slowly began to regain consciousness. Slowly, yet surely, the ringing would fade away as the sound of nature took it's place. He certainly didn't remember blacking out here, he was in the underground bunker. He knew that his father would show him no mercy, he wouldn't have given him a chance to live. Where am I? The Crown Prince thought, as he forced himself to sit up with a grunt. For a moment, as Zuko got aware of his new surroundings, he also got a glance of his new appearance. When he looked down at his hands, he saw paws. This wasn't right, surely he couldn't be an animal right? Small panic began to rise in his chest, before his ears pricked up at a twig snapping out in the distance. Quickly, the male jumped into a defensive stance, his eyes narrowed into slits. Though, his left eye was already narrowed. With the left side of his face covered in a burn scar, that was exactly identical to the one his father gave him, his amber eyes would scan the new territory. He had heard footsteps further in the distance, his ears weren't playing tricks on him. "Who's there?" The hotheaded mountain lion would yell, "Show yourself!"

Hana had never had an encounter with a human. With her minimal reading skills, she read books (with lots of pictures) that were supposedly written and drawn by humans, and they all looked weird. No fur except for their head, they walked weird, and they didn't have any horns or wings or anything cool like the people here in SunClan did. They always seemed to be learning some kind of lesson, too. Boring!
The kitsune-feline hybrid had been patrolling the territory, trying to familiarize herself with it. It was so huge and she could remember the locations of some things, but not everything. Her focus was interrupted by a voice, one mixed with anger and confusion. The girl's bunny ears swiveled back and forth before pinpointing the source: A mountain lion. Great, another new kid that was bigger than her! It was hard to be the best of the best if everyone was bigger than you. They had an advantage.
"I'm Hana! Calm down, we're all friendly here. Who are you?" the girl stated, tilting her head slightly. The 'calm down' was added due to how ready-to-pounce he looked. She took notice of his scar, thinking it was pretty cool-looking but knowing that a lot of people didn't like when she pointed out things about their appearance. She'd corner him and ask about it later.
-
Was it now customary for the newcomers to interrogate the Sunclanners nowadays? Was this what had happened while the vulpine had been away? It was frankly amusing to see, yet the kitsune had to admit a little bizarre. This mountain lion's antics were however filed away silently as Angel studied the form.
Coming up beside Hana, Angel lingered slightly behind the hybrid thinking much of the same about the foreign man at the border; it wasn't fun being smaller. But also it took a lot in the kitsune's eyes to be larger than a mountain lion so Angelpaw tried to not let the random paranoid thoughts plague their exterior. Frankly, the chances of being accidentally stepped on were next to none. Still, the Sunclanner would be lying if it didn't cross their mind despite numerous efforts to dismiss the notion.
'Show me yours and I'll show you mine.'
Seen as how perhaps repeating Hana like a broken record was clearly pointless, Angel opted to hold her silence. Hold on for dear life.

It had felt so long waiting, for the stranger to reveal them self to him. He knew that someone was there, and if they didn't show their faces soon, he wouldn't hesitate to firebend. But as his patience dwindled, the so said stranger padded into view. Almost immediately, the mountain lion caught their name: Hana. But he also caught another thing, she was telling him to calm down. "Don't tell me what to do!" The hotheaded prince snapped at her request, his tail lashing behind him. He wasn't going to let some strange animal tell him what to do. He was confused, he had no idea where he was and his plan to aid the avatar failed.
So it was clear why he would be so frustrated at himself. One single mistake lead to several consequences, which happened to be him being here in SunClan territory, as a mountain lion. He only wished he had his Uncle here with him, he would have known what to do. For a moment, Zuko would not say another word, his gaze moving onto the next SunClanner who decided to arrive. He was not sure who the Kitsune was, just like he wasn't exactly sure who Hana was. He might have heard her name, but that did not make her any less of a stranger. After a few moments, Zuko decided he would introduce himself to the two SunClanners, with his full titles.
"I am Zuko, Crown Prince of the Fire Nation," The scarred firebender proclaimed, his tail swishing behind him. He did not bother to mention that was what he used to be. He was no Crown Prince anymore, but they didn't need to know that. A few moments after, he thought what else to say. He wasn't sure where he was, but perhaps these two did. "Where am I?" He demanded them with a snap, looking between the two with a frown. -
SARANGEREL ♥
"Crown Prince of what, sorry?" asked Sarangerel as she landed beside Hana, the wings on her shoulders still ruffled from flight. Joinings like these made her uncomfortable - it tended to set a tone for the newcomer, good or bad, which would last a long time.
"You've encountered SunClan." offered the femme after a moment, confusion clouding her features. This one really did seem clueless. And something about fire - fire lands, was it? Fire nation? She had never heard of it, and if that was where he had come from, he must be a long way from home. Observing the scar which covered the left side of his face in a mild manner, Sarangerel tipped her head to one side and began to speak again.
"You have a few options now, Zuko. You could join us whilst you work out how you got here from wherever you came from, or you can leave our lands." Sarangerel explained, tapping her claws on the ground after each suggestion."As disorientated as you seem to be, I recommend to stay and take some respite. It doesn't have to be for long, if you so wish."
-
'Crown Prince of the Fire Nation'. How regal, but completely unbeknownst to Angelpaw despite its intriguing nature. It's very nature leading to the Sunclanner to slide a quick glance to Hana as the kitsune tried gauging the other Sunclanner's reaction to the new information. Because at this point, Angelpaw wasn't quite sure how to feel.
The advice that Sarangeral offered did however seem rather relevant and so Angelpaw was compelled to build off of the Goldenblood's suggestions. "Do you perhaps need some water? Food? How long have you been wandering out here for?" It was mildly concerning that perhaps the mountain lion had been starving themselves.
-
"Fire Nation?" She questioned. The whereabouts of Zuko wasn't interesting to her, but the name was. "You think they'll like my fire mixtape?" Shameless self-promoting, and it almost seemed like a joke. In this case, she was actually down to travel over and drop her tapes--despite them being underdeveloped and not made yet. All she has are the empty disks, getting music in it was the hard part, as she didn't know how to.

Nome was, well, not very wary of strangers, the dog trotted right up to this creature that identified himself as Zuko, crown prince of the fire nation. She had no idea where the fire nation was but she was intrigued. "Wow where's that? I've never heard of the Fire Nation" she said as she trotted up, tail wagging in the excitement of meeting a new potential friend. The canine had never seen a mountain lion before so she wanted to make her investigate but she knew from Pallis that sometimes strangers didn't appreciate her getting close to them. It had earned her several marks on her muzzle when she had been a puppy, sticking her nose where it didn't belong. Fondly, she remembered a time she had stuck her nose down an ant hill and gotten bit, Pallis scolded her that day. He was her voice of reason, balancing out her childish nature. But he wasn't here was he? No. Nome was free to be as childish as she usually was without his presence. The dog walked boldly up to the much bigger animal, walking around him as she studied him. She was certainly fascinated by this strange creature. "You're a prince you said? Why are you here and not back in your 'nation' then?" She didn't mean to interrogate him, she was just curious and wanted to know more about him.

The word "prince" had caught Marina's attention quickly, and the nymph bounded over to investigate, appearing by Nome and studying the newcomer with curious blue eyes. After a moment, a broad smirk invaded her features. "You don't look very princely," she commented, her voice a bright purr of amusement. "More like a renegade, actually. You've even got the fiery attitude for it down! Have you considered changing roles?" Her words were mocking, but her tone was mischievous. Marina was no fan of flames, being a water nymph herself, but she wouldn't hesitate to poke at a prince if given the opportunity. She'd take the risk of being burned before she let go of the chance for some fun.

Zuko's ears would prick up in the direction of Sarangerel, which happened to be another voice that he did not recognize. As he looked over at her, he knew that she must have recently arrived- as originally only Hana and Angelpaw found him. At first she did not seem to recognize the name of the Fire Nation, considering it sounded like she requested for him to say what he was the Crown Prince of again. "The Fire Nation," The firebender would snap quickly, just before she began to explain where on Earth he was. "I am the Crown Prince of-" He began to repeat himself, before getting cut off when Sarangerel spoke up. The hotheaded mountain lion fell silent for a moment, his tail swishing angrily behind him.
SunClan? He has never heard of SunClan before in his entire life. It's always been the four nations: The Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Water Tribe, and Air Nomads. He never heard of a clan before, a group apparently full of animals. Though, the name did strike a familiarity to the Ancient Sun Warriors- a civilization located in his home that died out centuries ago. He didn't say a word as Sarangerel continued to speak, giving Zuko his options. His first option was to join SunClan, an idea that did not even come into his mind. His second option was to leave, and return back to where he came from. There was two problems with that option. One, he was in a land he couldn't even recognize, he wouldn't be able to turn around and find his way back. Secondly, he wouldn't be welcomed back- he technically betrayed his nation and wasn't even truly himself anymore. He guessed he had to stay here, in SunClan that is. There probably wouldn't be another group that would offer him food, water, and a place to stay. "Fine, I'll join SunClan," Zuko said with a frown, his eyes narrowing as his gaze shifted back onto Angelpaw.
This kid was offering him food and water. Zuko wasn't one to ask for help, he generally wanted to do things on his own. "No- I don't need your help!" He began to snap at Angelpaw, before stopping abruptly when Angelpaw began to ask how long he has been wandering around. "Not long- I don't know, I'm just confused!" The hotheaded Fire Nation Prince said, confusion and anger in his eyes. He would look even more confused when Skylar spoke up, the mountain lion raising an invisible eyebrow. "Your what?" He wasn't even sure what that exactly was!
These SunClanners didn't seem like they would stop coming. Before he knew it, there was a new person making their way over to him. They got right up and personal to them, with their tail wagging and all. "It's far away," Zuko would begin to explain, with a growl inching into his throat. Nome's next comment only made Zuko more upset- she truly had no idea what he had to go through and how that made him feel. Before they knew it, the mountain lion's ears flattened to his head. "You tell me! I'm not even sure how I ended up here in the first place!" He yelled, completely blowing up with anger, beginning to smoke with anger due to his firebending. As he literally fumed with steam due to anger, he managed catch what Marina said to him. That only made him steam more, with a sizzling sound. "I am the Crown Prince!" He snapped at her, clearly not liking the comment they made. They had no idea how hard it was for him- to go through all that misery to learn that his father couldn't give him his honor, and that he had to learn it all on his own.

Nome was used to dealing with angry, hotheaded characters. Pallis gave her excellent practice, so she dealt with him the same way she'd deal with him. She took a step back and she only smiled gently. "Well hey maybe I can show you around, and we can figure out how you got here?" she asked, an attempt to calm him down. Perhaps he wasn't happy with how many others were around. Nome didn't want to upset him, she just wanted to get to know him better and maybe help him. Sometimes she overstepped her boundaries and she knew that, but she couldn't help it, she got too excited.

♥ Well this one seemed a little pissy, thought the golden pierced male as he joined his clan-mates at the border. He couldn't tell if he was more annoyed by the fact that this Zuko dude kept repeating that he was some 'crowned prince' of a land no one had heard of or cared about, or that a couple of his clan-mates had made horrible fire puns. Either way, this guy's sour mood was putting one in him, and that was certainly something he didn't need. On the bright side, he managed to push the usual paranoia down into the depths of his brain, considering that Zuko was super confused and probably wasn't plotting to murder his children while he slept. Probably. "Welcome to the clan then," Greeted the hybrid finally, wanting to get this shit over with so he could take a nap sometime soon, "I'm Suga Arcanium, your new Commander."
[ don't mind suga, he's very tired rn lol but welcome to sunclan!! ] -
I'M TAKING BACK MY FREEDOM ⚫
The nymph's eyes danced in impish delight, clearly entertained by the prince's temper. Zuko was right--she didn't understand his misery, or anything about the circumstances he had found himself in. Pain and grief, almost without exception, were entirely foreign to the sunguard. She had lived for so long, yet she was so new to this world. She hadn't entirely grasped the concept of "common decency" yet--there was only "fun" and "not fun." Marina strongly preferred the former, and Zuko was doing a splendid job of providing it.
"Hold on--you're telling me you're a Crown Prince?!" The mischievous feline's voice was shrill and mocking, a Cheshire grin creeping onto her features. "Really? What a shocking development! We all must have been deaf the first twelve times you mentioned it!" Her teasing wasn't ill-intentioned, but it was ruthless nonetheless. The curly-furred female had always had issues determining where to draw the line in her words. After a light laugh, Marina flourished her tail elegantly behind her before speaking once more. "Well, I don't know what the Fie Nation is, but what with my being a water nymph and all, it doesn't sound incredibly appealing." Then again, she did make frequent visits to the Land of Flames, seeing as that was where her guild of choice was stationed. Well, no need to bring that up now. "Anyways, I'm Marina! Welcome to Sunclan, Zuko. Hopefully I'll see you around."

'No - I don't need your help!'
Oh? The unexpected outburst of anger was certainly startling to say the least, but not entirely unexpected from the man who had just demanded that the Sunclanners make their presence known. Within their own territory. But nonetheless Angelpaw took a hesitant step backwards as Zuko's gaze locked onto the kitsune's own, the sudden eye contact making Angel feel queasy. The rustling of some small leaves left in the wake of the Sunclanner's paws.
"If you're confused then maybe you should at least have a drink of water." The kitsune wasn't officially a medic within Sunclan, but this kind of service was just common decency right? Still Angel looked around quickly for any signs of familiar medics but dismissed the hesitance. Zuko looked as if he could really use something to calm him down, he was practically blazing at this point now. "I promise I wont bottle-feed you, but I really think that maybe you should take care of yourself before you crash." Maybe it would ease the Mountain Lion's discomfort if the image was painted that Zuko was still taking of himself. But with how the 'crown prince' was acting, maybe it was wishful thinking.
