  • Normally, Ryan kept to himself and didn't spend much time in frequented areas (though, the tavern was becoming a frequent stop for him) but today he was on the ship, specifically in the ship's kitchen, from which delicious odors wafted as he cooked up a little feast for the upcoming Rum Night with ColouredClan. No one had asked or hinted at him doing it, but he hardly thought anyone would mind if he did this. The feline was humming under his breath as he worked, falling into an easy rhythm.

  • Sel couldn't smell any of the scents drifting from the kitchen, she could however hear the racket he was making, as well as the humming. Curious, she made her way into the kitchen and stared at him, the food he was making and the mess he had made. "What's all this for? I'm not going on another date, no matter how much food you make me."

  • As much as he loved her, despite being there just for her, there were times when Lucy's appearance made him sigh. "It's not for you, Lucy. Believe it or not, the world doesn't revolve around you." Not even mine. He didn't bother looking at her, just focused on what he was doing. Mix that, add a pinch of this...

  • Having heard snippets of Sel's voice, followed by Ryan's, and the overwhelming smell of various foods wafting through the innards of the ship, Xylia came scuttling down the stairs and bee-lined it for the kitchen. "What're you making? Does it all have to be cooked or mixed with stuff? Have you cooked before?" Could he show her how to cook? She didn't mention that last one out loud as she didn't imagine he would, but she felt that her other questions were fairly valid.

  • She knew all too well that the world didn't revolve around her, but his always seemed to, so the answer annoyed her, prompting an irritated but unserious "yes it does" from the Captain. She glanced over at Xylia as she joined them. She could answer the questions easily, but they were for Ryan, not her, so she remained silent for the moment. Besides, the first was one she wanted answered too.

  • He gave Lucy a look, but then shifted his focus to Xylia, as if to prove it. She certainly had a lot of questions about cooking, but the ferret usually had a lot to ask about, didn't she? "A whole bunch of stuff, for Rum Night. Not all of it needs to be cooked, and not all of it needs to be mixed together." He chuckled dryly. "Kid, cooking's like the one thing I'm good at."

  • Xylia had almost forgotten about the Rum Night, but the mention of it again reminded her about the fun she'd had with Terra during their first Rum Night. "Can you show me how to make something? I mean, if you're really good at it then maybe I can get pretty decent at it." She didn't have the slightest clue how to cook, and she didn't hunt much for herself either. Most of her food came from the abandoned plates of others onboard the ship. She was quite aware that if Ryan did allow her to try helping, there would be a mess on her paws, and possibly his too, and the whole of the kitchen.

  • Sel scoffed as Ryan deliberately ignored her, then waddled over to one side of the room to watch. She wasn't exactly a good cook - everything she made ended up too salty for anyone else to enjoy.
