Name: Aster Lucia Melaine (basically the meaning of her name is darkness and ice)

    Alias: Death

    Age: 20

    Gender: female

    Zodiac Sign: scorpio

hair: black - glows purple when using death magic

eyes: purple - glow red when using death magic

    skin tone: pale

build: seems skinny, but is actually very fit and muscular

    no body modifications

    ~

Brief Personality Description: Aster may seem cold and aloof at first, seemingly disdainful of those around her. In reality, however, she is both painfully shy and extremely aware of what might happen if she becomes friends with anyone; they could get hurt and die just from being around her, and she can't allow that to happen. if someone is able to break past her outer shell, however, she can be very sweet and kind, and has a much different personality than one might expect. she truly cares for others, and would do anything to protect them from a life like hers. until someone breaks that shell, however, she might seem to be a person who simply does not want company -- if she feels threatened, she will make scathing remarks about others to try and make them go away. for those she has gotten to know well, she can be very thoughtful, perhaps even providing gifts for them. if any of her friends were hurt, she isn't sure what she would do. she would probably blame herself more than anything, either leaving her to be paralyzed with guilt or fight with everything she has for redemption.

    Good traits:

    - extremely caring

    - thoughtful

    - shy

    - kind

    Bad traits:

    - lashes out to protect herself

    - very closed off

    - blames herself for most bad happenings

    - one might say she is too empathetic

Likes: she likes many things that people probably wouldn't expect of her, such as soft things and sweets; a lot of people don't get close enough to her to actually learn what she likes.

    - sweets

    - soft things

    - cute things

    - the color pink

    - antique jewelry

    - antiques in general

    Dislikes:

    - death, even though she must confront it every day. it's really more of a love-hate relationship than anything. she respects it and is glad she can see it, because it gives her hope that she can somehow prevent it

    Fears:

    - death, for obvious reasons, as well as the power she wields over it.

    Dreams and Goals:

    - to one day not have to suffer because of death; to one day make friends she can trust

    Hobbies:

    - she likes to sew a little bit, and plays some cute video games

    ~

    Guild: Fairy Tail

Rank: regular mage, but could likely be s-class if she went through the trial

    Guild Mark Location: right shoulder

    Guild Mark Color: black

Team: she's in a team with Life

Magic: she's an ice make mage / ice dragon slayer (maybe we should make them dragon slayers because both cobra and laxus are? lmao)

Notable Spells: she is in possession of the death book, which has affected her outlook on life drastically

Weapons: none in particular past her abilities

Strengths: is very resistant to cold, and is able to endure quite a bit of pain before she reaches her limit

Weaknesses: is a very closed person; is not very receptive to teaming up with people she just met; and it takes her a long time to warm up to people

    ~

    Parents: unknown

Siblings: she sees Life as a sister

    Other Family: unknown

Crush: none right now, but it will be laxus later on

    Significant Other: not yet

History: she has been traveling with Life, trying to find a place where they can call home

  • Yeah I can start))

Kou carried a white book in her left hand with golden letter across the front that said 'life' in language that was no longer spoken by the common man or woman. She knew how to speak and write in siad language because that is what the book was written in but we are drifting off here. Kou was making a bee line for the fairy tail guild hall brown eyes sparkling with light she was over the moon to join Fairy Tail not just because it was the top guild in all of Fiore her dragon had sufgested she stayed there to protect her self from the dark guilds that wanted her and Aster's magic. "This is so exciting!" She said with a cheer as she flicked her gaze over her compainion Aster.

Before or after Laxus was banished from the guild or it never happened and should they have exceeds?))

  • Aster's purple eyes flicked up to look at the face of her companion as she was dragged behind her, with what seemed to be disinterest. "Indeed." she murmered, and her gaze flickered away once again, her eyes steadily watching what was in front of her.

In reality, it wasn't disinterest that caused her to act this way; quite the opposite, in fact. Her excitement was getting the better of her; she had to keep her cool now, especially since they were in such an unknown situation. She felt bad for acting this way when she was with Kou; they had known eachother for so long, after all. But she had to remain alert, ever aware of their surroundings.

She always felt as though eyes were on them, watching her every move; she supposed that was the reason they had traveled in the first place, because her misgivings about their old home had compelled them to. It was also the reason why she adorned herself with her cloak whenever possible, hood and all; if she wore the dark garment over her head, she felt as though the eyes no longer were upon her, and it made her feel much safer. Today, however, Kou had convinced her to leave the hood part off; they were going to be "meeting new people," as the slightly taller mage had put it, and apparently that meant that she had to have her face unconcealed. The thought made her sigh; she already knew that she was going to make a fool of herself, and alienate those who Kou wanted to befriend. She couldn't help herself. But she wasn't going to argue with the girl; she wanted her to be happy.

She gripped the tome in her arms tighter, squeezing it closer to her chest as they sped through the crowded streets. The dark book had an aura about it, but Aster suspected that she was the only one who could really feel it: the death radiating off of it like a beacon for misfortune. She hated the thing, but she needed to keep it safe; both for her and Kou's sake.

The building that had previously been only a dream was now only a few meters away, and Aster could feel her heart beating faster with every step they took. She looked up at the large doors, a small well of hope bubbling up inside her.

Perhaps Kou was right. Perhaps they would be able to find a home here. Perhaps they would be safe.

    --

Cobra's eyes flicked to the doorway of the guild hall, raising one of his eyebrows in curiosity. He could smell two new scents approaching the door, that were both familiar and yet entirely foreign. They smelled kind of like Natsu and Gray; and yet he could also detect hints of smells that were like, well, him, and Laxus, and Gajeel, and Wendy. Were they perhaps dragon slayers? The thought made him chuckle darkly to himself as he leaned back in his chair. Of course more dragon slayers would show up here, of all places. They were apparently a nest of them, so why the hell wouldn't they show up here?

Ah well. Wasn't his business anyway.

-- i made Cobra's introduction shorter because they haven't actually entered the guild hall yet, so he doesn't really have anything to react to haha. and i think it should definitely be after, and he's back from that, so like sometime after tenrou? perhaps before the gmg, so that our ocs can participate in it? and since second generation dragon slayers canonically don't have exceeds, i think we should forego that c: --

  • Alright))

Kou speed up her pace when she got closer to the doors of the hall the excitement oozing from every pore on her. The thirty year old woman occasionally acted like a child because of the energy she was surrounded by is felt new and pure fifty percent of the time. She had no trouble keeping up hih energy levels when she came bursting through the door wirh a grin that could compete with Natsu’s. She was hit with the scent of other dragon slayers when she entered the place it glued her to the spot where she stood not expecting there to be so many in one place.

Laxus was expecting thsi to be any normal day Natsu and Gray fighting then to have Erza knock them unconscious when she stopped heir fighting. So it did peak his interest when he caught the scent of desth over all of things it was strsnge bt she brushed it off as Natsu burning something. Just when he relaxed the door came bursting open to reveal a tall and well endowed woman with a huge grin on her face. The blonde kept his gaze on the woman finding her scent unusual he couldn't quite put his finger on what the scent was.

  • By the time that Aster realized that Kou had let go of her hand it was already too late; they were inside the guild hall, the door having been unceremoniously opened by the older woman, exposing both of them to the many, manypeople inside. She could feel apprehension bubbling up inside of her, threatening to spill over and onto the surface as she looked at all of these new faces, all of these people who were now looking at them. She inwardly groaned. Kou always did like to make an entrance, didn't she?

If she were more comfortable in these new surroundings, Aster would have taken this chance to try and slink away, while everyone's attention was on Kou. But her nerves were getting to her, and she instinctually brought herself closer to the woman, as though she were an older sister that would protect her from the strangers. She looked up at the person she thought of as sister, checking to see what she would do; but she seemed frozen, standing in place, as if awestruck by the new surroundings. Aster looked at her in confusion, but it was at that moment that she was hit by the same scent.

    Dragon slayers. Their own kind.

So that's what was getting Kou so riled up. She glanced around the room once more, and saw that she was able to pretty easily pinpoint those that carried this scent: a pink-haired man, a black-haired man, a blonde man, a purple-haired man, and a blue-haired little girl. She wondered if they could tell what they were as well; she wondered if they could even smell the power of their books.

The thought made her uneasy, and her pale hand brushed against Kou's tanned one, looking for some sort of solace in the brief contact. And, knowing that she was there, it allowed her to muster up her courage and keep her gaze steady, level as she searched the crowd for someone who might be in charge. If Kou was too absorbed in her own thoughts to do something, it fell upon Aster to try and get them settled in.

"Um, hello," her quiet voice rang out nervously, and she wanted nothing more than to put her hood over her head and curl up into a ball to try to escape this nervous energy, "We would like to speak to the master of this guild." She spoke to no one in particular, hoping that someone would help them.

It was then that she noticed a very short man approaching them, a large smile on his face. He stopped right in front of the girls, throwing out his arms in excitement. "Welcome to Fairy Tail!" the older gentleman greeted, his eyes and tone warm, "I'm Makarov, the master of these brats. How can I help both of you?"

"Um... well..." Aster trailed off, shrinking in on herself and looking to Kou for support. Hopefully the older woman would say something, so that she would be spared from having to.

    ---

Cobra's eyes opened again in aggravation when a large amount of thoughts began buzzing wildly in his head, due to the disturbance at the door. He growled to himself as he sat back up, his annoyance at the situation clear. He finally turned to look at the newcomers, and his eyes were immediately drawn to the taller of the two. A grin adorned his face, and he raised one eyebrow, now clearly interested in the situation, as much as the new whirlwind of thoughts annoyed him. She seemed extremely confident, standing before everyone as tall as she could, a beaming bright smile radiating out over the rest of the guild. Energy seemed to pour off of her in waves, engulfing all of those around her.

But he could hear thoughts not two inches away from her, and that was when his gaze landed upon the other girl. Her thoughts were quite the opposite of her companions; they were nervous, desperate to be away from the noise, the people, the attention. And, honestly, he didn't blame her; he felt the same most of the time, and had only recently been able to filter out most of the nonsense these cretins thought.

He himself was about to go up to the two of them to get a closer look, perhaps even talk to them and learn of their dragon slaying powers, when Makarov himself approached them, asking them how he could help.

Cobra sighed, and slumped back into his chair. Whatever. He could talk to them later if he really wanted to.

  • Kou came back to reality after a bit her free hand on instinct went to hold Aster's hand. It was similar to anchor it told her that Aster was close by and if anything bad were to happen she could protect her. "Hello there me and my little sis would like to join your guild." She said competely ingoring the fact they looked and acted nothing alike she pretty much raised her due to the ten year age gap between them. She didn't mind the attention of others looking at them some times she wished she could tone down her energy levels so she didn't stand out all the time. She flicked her dark brown eyes over to a maroon haired male dragon slayer for a secons before looking at the master. He caughter her interest the most at all the pople in he guild so she msde a silent vow to investigate.

Laxus flicked his gaze from the taller woman to the shorter one she seemed interesting. He wondered what kind of relationship her and the older woman had with one another by the way they were so close together it only peaked his interest when the older one called her little sis. He raised one brow interested in the two but mostly the younger one it didn't catch him by surprised when they wanted to join the guild. "What do you think boss." Freed spoke looking to them his haze fixed on the books they carried with them. Laxus shrugged his shoulders a bit gaze not moving from the youngest one of the two. "Them seem interesting." He said internally hoping that the high energy kne wouldn't be like Natsu one was bad enough in his opinion.

  • The master gave a kind smile to Aster before turning back to look at Kou, joyful at the two new additions. "Of course, I thought as much. Not many come to this guild for any other reason." He turned around and wandered back in the direction of his office, the sea of people parting to allow him to pass. "Follow me, we'll see about getting your paperwork done so that you might begin your lives as Fairy Tail wizards."

Aster hesitated for a moment before beginning to follow the old man, relinquishing her hold on Kou's hand as she made her way through the path that had opened. She had to get away from all of these people, even if only for just a moment; she was so nervous that she thought her head might explode, and she could feel every eye on her, curious, watching her every move. She knew they weren't trying to be malevolent -- quite the opposite, actually, they were almost too friendly at that moment -- but she couldn't handle this many people at once, not when none of them knew her true potential. And she was relieved when she realized that people had begun to return to the conversations they had before they had entered the guild hall; it was almost like nothing had happened, like two new wizards hadn't just asked to join.

But she could feel one pair of eyes in particular that refused to leave her form, following her as she followed the master to his office. She looked up to where she could feel the gaze, and practically flushed when she saw the intensity with which the blonde dragon slayer was staring at her. She quickly looked away, ripping her lilac eyes away from his stormy grey ones. Why was he staring at her? Did he know something? The thought concerned her, but his gaze didn't feel like one of knowledge; in fact, it embarrassed her to see how interested he was in her, specifically her, and she couldn't understand why she would be interesting in any way unless he knew something she didn't. So when she disappeared behind the master into his office, she felt an immense amount of relief; although, she realized, she would probably have to deal with more of it once she returned to the hall.

Hopefully, she will have steeled her resolve by then.

The master went behind his desk to grab some papers, then came back to the girls and put them on the table before them, handing each of them a pen. "Just fill out these documents with your names, ages, magic, and address so that we can file the proper information. If you have nowhere to live, you're also free to live in Fairy Hills; its an apartment complex for members only."

Aster nodded, determine to do something right for once, and quickly began filling out the papers, handing them to the master when she was done. He glanced over the documents to make sure they were done properly, but had to stifle a gasp when he saw what their powers were. "Oh my, more dragon slayers? What are we, some kind of dragon slayer catnip?" he shook his head, chuckling as he made his way back to the door. "Perhaps you both should get acquainted with the other dragon slayers, then." He opened the door, his head suddenly becoming much larger before he shouted, "NATSU! GAJEEL! WENDY! LAXUS! COBRA! COME TO MY OFFICE NOW!" He didn't bother to give them a reason (it was much more fun for him to make them think they were in trouble), instead once again closing the door, acting as though he had never screamed out of it in the first place.

"Now, where would you like your guild mark and what color?"

".... Right hand please. And black."

    -----

Cobra was once again about to drift off into his own thoughts when he was rudely (and loudly) interrupted by the booming voice of Master Makarov, startling him so much that he fell out of his chair. He heard a squawk of a laugh behind him -- of course, Natsu would be witness to that -- and turned to glare at the fire dragon slayer, standing up and brushing himself off. "Shut up, burn breath." he growled out, before turning to look at the door to the master's office. He knew what the master wanted -- it had been clear as day, the master's thoughts were very open -- but he wasn't entirely sure why. Sure, he wanted to talk to the older one at some point; he thought she was kinda hot. But he didn't want to intrude on their introduction to the guild, and they must be at least a little overwhelmed.

He pursed his lips, but his thoughts were once again interrupted when Natsu came up behind him, Wendy and Gajeel close behind. "Come on, stink breath, what are ya waiting for? Those two new girls seemed really strong, maybe Master wants us to fight them to test their strength!"

Cobra rolled his eyes. but began walking forward. He didn't want to keep Makarov waiting, after all. "I doubt it. They just got here, Natsu. I know you've mostly got flame for brains, but use your common sense for once."

Natsu seemed agitated at this, and looked like -- and thought like -- he was going to make a sarcastic, not very clever retort, but Gajeel got in between them, effectively shutting Natsu up. "And what doeshe want exactly?" the metal dragon slayer asked, quirking an eyebrow at Cobra, "They can't just be regular mages if master called all of us together like this."

"No, I suppose not." Cobra replied, opening the door and walking into the room.

-- feel free to take control of any of the characters that aren't Aster or Cobra whenever you want! --

  • Kou followed easily blocking out the stares of memebers used to this kind of attention before. So she followed them through the crowd with ease she did look over to the purple haired male once more befor looking forward to focus on the master whp lead them to his office. She thanked him for the appers before filling them out like she was supposed to she didn't speak during this span of time until he yelled for the other dragon slayers. "Ow." She mumbled her sensitive hearing being effected no in a good way.

Laxus watched her a bit before looking to Freed and start a conversation with him not about the new wizards since it was a everyday thing now. He had brushed it off in a bit still interested in the darker haired girl and when the master called for the dragon slayers he knew they were in for a treat. "Let the fun begin." He mumbled standing from his spot in the main area he had a feeling Natsu was going to fight one of them one way or another and probably get his butt handed to him. He went straight for the masters office barely noticing Wendy walking next to him till she spoke up. "I wonder what type they are." She said hands clasped behind her back as she walked next to the much taller male who in return shrugged his shoudlers.

  • Aster was silent as all of the new people walked in -- all of them dragon slayers, she noted, the smell becoming almost overpowering with all of them cramped into one room. It wasn't nearly as bad as when she was outside the office, but she still felt uneasy, especially since the reason they were there was because of them; and when the blonde dragon slayer walked in, it only served to make her flush and look down at her feet, unable to make eye contact with any of these people.

He was so much taller than she thought he would be, towering over her (and even Kou, by a pretty good margin). She felt small in that moment, and she had to force herself to shake away this nervous energy that was beginning to crawl all over her. She clenched her fists before finally turning her face to look at all of these new people, who, she realized somewhat proudly, were all of the slayers she had identified earlier. She purposefully tried to avoid looking at the tall blonde one -- although, she couldn't help, what with him staring at her so intently, to glance at him every few moments, before quickly turning away. Her nerves were faltering more by the second until, finally, the master made a pleased noise and clapped his hands together, effectively getting back all of their attention.

"Now that you're all here, I'd like to introduce you to our new recruits." He made a gesture at Kou and Aster. "Kou here is a fire dragon slayer -- and, before you can say anything, Natsu, if you must fight please do it outside the guild hall." His gaze moved to Aster. "And Aster is an ice dragon slayer. Again, Natsu, withhold any declarations of fighting for now. Since we're apparently a nest of dragon slayers now, I thought it best to get all of you acquainted."

Aster flushed when she realized that all eyes had turned to her, and she tried to hide it, to stare right back at them, to look proud in herself. But her plans were foiled when Cobra smirked, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Aw, look's like special snowflake here is embarrassed!"

She stiffened, her hands curling into fists, before her defensive system kicked in, and she hissed back "And you look like you were punched in the face about 3 times before you walked in here."

Cobra balked for a moment before bursting out in laughter. "I like this kid!" he announced giving her a mischievous grin.

But Aster was beyond embarrassed, she couldn't believe that she had already shown all of these people her cruel side, and instead of responding she once again looked down, trying to hide her now pink face. It was an automatic response, and she couldn't help it, but now she felt horrible.

Wendy walked up to the girl, putting a hand on her shoulder, almost causing Aster to jump away in shock. "It's ok. Cobra's just kind of... abrasive when he first meets people, but you'll get used to it." The younger girl stuck out her hand in greeting, a sweet smile on her face. "I'm Wendy. I'm an air dragon slayer. Nice to meet you."

Aster stared at her hand for a moment before holding out her own, gripping the other girl's hand before she shook it. "Um, thanks. Nice to... meet you too, Wendy."

Gajeel, Cobra, and Natsu, however, all went up to Kou, two of them because they were interested in how a second fire dragon slayer was here, one because, not only did he just get all of the introduction he needed from Aster, but because now he really wanted to meet the other girl; if they were really sisters (although, he highly doubted they were by blood), then why did they act so differently? And they gave off distinctly different vibes. But Kou seemed warm, almost... comforting, in a sense, and Cobra felt as if he needed to talk to her and see why she gave off such a distinct vibe.

Of course, the fact that she was hot as hell didn't hurt things, either.

So they made their way over to her, and Cobra did his best to give her an understanding smile as Natsu practically assaulted her asking for a battle (he would probably do the same to Aster, soon), waiting for his own chance to talk. He could be patient, as annoying as Natsu was; he had been in the past.

"Who were you raised by?" Natsu asked Kou suddenly, his head tilting to the side. "Igneel raised me, but was there another fire dragon? Or are you like Laxus and Cobra?"

To be honest, Cobra had been wondering the same thing himself, and looked to Kou for the answer. Neither of the girls had exceeds, so it seemed more likely that they had lacrimas implanted like them; but who knows, maybe they could be breaking that rule. It wasn't such a strange idea.

  • Kou eyes scanned over the group as soon as the walked into the room she was cautious of them not sure how they would react to them. She gave a small wave when the master said her name and put on a smile to be friendly with them not wanting to get on bad terms the first day of being in the guild. She was cool until Cobra spoke about Aster even if it was teasing she had to clench her fist to keep herself from saying something that was out of hand. "We were trained by a dragon his name was Leviathan he taught both me and my sister what we know." She said answering Natsu’s question while tapping her nails on the wooden surface of the masters desk she had most of her attention trained onto Cobra interested in hkm and he was good looking which was a plus. "You might also be wondering if we are actually sisters no we are not blood related we were raised together." She said keeping her gaze on the dragon slayers into front of her her book resting in her lap.

Laxus went over to Aster with Wendy it found it kind of cute how short she was compared to him he put on a small smirk like smile when he spoke. "Yeah Cobra is a weird one and dosen't know the term privacy." He leaned a bit on his grandfathers desk his arms still palced across his chest he looked forward at the wall in front of him trying to keep himself from staring further but that was proving to be a difficult task. "I'm Laxus the lighting dragon slayer." He said with the same smirk smile on his face as he gave trying to keep himself from staring any more. He was curious about them and why they carried those books with them ,but he didn't ask sinfe it was their business and not his. Freed did seem very interested in the books they were carrying which made him wonder a bit but for now he pushed it aside for a later topic.

  • Aster had to suppress a gulp as she looked up at the lightning dragon slayer, her eyes wide with surprise to see him standing so close. She hesitated responding to him, floundering to come up with an answer to his... comfort? Is that what she could call it? Were these two slayers that she had just met trying to comfort her? The thought made her feel warm inside, knowing that two complete strangers were showing that they cared about her, even if it was in a very small way. But she realized that she hadn't yet responded to the lightning dragon slayer, and she gripped her book tighter to her chest in embarrassment, trying to hide her wavering nerves. "I'll... keep that in mind. Thank you for the advice."

Her voice was quiet, much more quiet than it had been moments earlier against Cobra; but it still had a comforting lull to it, as though it could put one to sleep if they listened long enough. Most people didn't hear it often, and, in her old town, they would practically throw a party if they ever heard her speak; it seemed as though she were breaking a pattern, today. She smirked to herself at that, amused by her own inside joke.

The lightning dragon slayer spoke again, and she looked back up at him, seeing that his face was turned away for the moment. Laxus. She repeated the name in her head, deciding that it suited the man. She bowed her head slightly, acknowledging his statement. "It's nice to meet you as well." Her violet eyes glanced at his face once more before she turned away again, back to the air dragon slayer currently trying to get her attention.

"Is this your first time in Magnolia?" Wendy asked, curiosity clear in her bright eyes. Aster nodded after a moment's hesitation, forcing her old habits to go away for the time being. "Do you have somewhere to live?" Aster thought for a moment with that question before nodding. "Master said that we could live in Fairy Hills. We're probably going to take him up on that offer." Wendy's eyes lit up at this. "Do you want us all to take you there, then? We can help you find your way around, and even pick rooms. And we can keep talking on the way there!"

Aster's eyes softened as the talked to the younger girl, apprehension causing her to hesitate before she nodded in assent. Wendy went over to tell the master of their plans, and Aster watched her with a small bit of hope in her heart. What a kind girl...she thought, and she looked back to Laxus.

Perhaps she should say something. It felt... wrong to say so little to these people when they were trying their hardest to make her feel comfortable. So, she said the first thing she could think of.

    "You're... really tall."

Was that the right thing to say? That was the wrong thing to say, wasn't it? Ugh, she wanted to go hide in a hole somewhere.

    --

Cobra, Natsu, and Gajeel all raised their eyebrows in surprise at Kou's answer, shock clear on each of their faces. All of their minds were blank -- Cobra could tell -- because they had never heard of a dragon teaching two different kinds of dragon slaying magic; it must have been very rare, and very powerful.

Natsu was the first one to break out of his stupor, his eyes shining with excitement. "Man, that's awesome! I've never ever heard of that happening before! I wonder if our magic is different!!" He looked at her, and realized that she probably had no idea what he was talking about, since he hadn't even introduced himself or his powers. "Er, well, I'm Natsu. I'm a fire dragon slayer, too. We should totally fight and see if our flames are any different!!"

Gajeel rolled his eyes, crossing his arms as he examined Kou. "Natsu, she would obviously beat the crap out of you, I don't know why you even want to try," He held his hand out to her, geeheeing as he spoke. "Name's Gajeel. I'm an iron dragon slayer."

It seemed that Cobra was the only one who hadn't introduced himself. He took a step forward, a wickedly mischievous grin on his face as he lifted a hand, but not to shake. "Name's Cobra." He unsheathed the claws on his hands, the smell of poison wafting through him, his purple eyes glowing dangerously. "Poison dragon slayer. I'd shake your hand, but it may not be too pleasant for ya."

  • Kou listened to them for a bit before chuckling darkly. "Honey I have no doudt that your poison would have no affect me." She had noticed some of her cold natrue had came into play butbshe made effort to take back what she said to him. "As you heard I'm Kou and I would love to take up that challenge." She said flicking her gaze to Natsu willing to please the younger male with a battle curious to his skill having seen his name in her book before she was wanted to see if what she had seen in visions of him lived up to reality. "I would enjoy seeing if our magic is differnt ,but I would like to look around the place before I completely crush you." She said wih with a smile and cheerful tone. Unlike Aster she was more confident in her words and actions without a noticeable regret or care.

Laxus didn't talk when Wendy spoke to her not wanting to seem rude. He semed a bit surpirsed when she made a comemnt about his height he chuckled a bit. "Yes I know." He found it cute that on of the first things she chose to talk about was his height ,but he couldn't blame her he was a tall person. "You're really short." He said with tease in his voice as he kept his gaze on her taking note of her nervousness. Most were nervousness around him because of his reputation but he had a feeling it was something more then that and he wanted to know it. When Natsu yelled he let a sigh slip past his lips he hoped they would go outside and not create a giant bill for the guild agian.

  • Aster's face felt like it had burst into flame at his comment. She was staring at him, she couldn't help it, owl-eyed that he had so casually said something that could have been insulted. He wasn't wrong, she knew that already, but did he really have to point it out??

After the initial panic at his words, the tone settled in, and, although still somewhat tense, she gave him a small smile, before returning to looking back at her shoes. "You are... very observant." she murmured, her tone lighthearted, drawing a short giggle from herself. Of course, she was being sarcastic right back at him, and she hoped that she had been able to copy the same tone. She didn't want to be mean, but sometimes it just sounded like it, and it felt as though she might be able to learn proper social skills from these people. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, living her at Fairy Tail; they had already found so many others like them...

She was about to ask him more about his own powers when Wendy came running back up to her, grabbing her arm this time. The little girl raised her voice so that the entire room might hear her, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Alright, let's go get you settled in! And then I can show you all of the places I like to go with Carla!"

It seemed the air dragon slayer had grown attached pretty quickly. Aster was a little uneasy about it, but she found that she honestly didn't particularly mind; the fact that the young one already liked her so much touched her deeply, and so she nodded silently and allowed the younger girl to drag her out, assuming that everyone else would follow. She glanced back at the lightning dragon slayer, giving him a small smile, almost as though she were apologizing for cutting the conversation short; it wasn't like they couldn't talk on the way to Fairy Hills, though. And, honestly, she didn't understand why she was already paying the man special attention. They had just met, after all. But she found herself unable to find an answer.

If every day here were like today, her life would become very interesting.

    ----

Cobra's face fell, obviously confused by Kou's words. It wouldn't affect her? How was that even possible? His poison had worked effectively against every opponent he had ever encountered. Why wouldn't it work now? He withdrew his claws, his eyes returning back to their normal shade. His face almost looked concerned, but he quickly shook that off, instead putting up a new facade of confidence. "Oh, sweetie, that's so cute, but you just haven't had a taste yet." He winked at her, his confidence giving him a new boldness, but on the inside, he was a nervous wreck.

Just how powerful was she to claim that his poison wouldn't affect her? He didn't envy Natsu at all. He would never want to battle her.

Just then Wendy began taking Aster out of the room, causing all of the other dragon slayers to realize just how long they had been standing there. Cobra looked back to Kou and was about to offer the same thing as Wendy, but Gajeel interrupted him, causing an annoyed growl to quietly slip from his throat. "We should go with them. Wouldn't be fair if Natsu fought you when you hadn't even settled in yet."

Natsu echoed the sentiment with a loud "Yeah!!" as they both made their way out of the room, and Cobra began to follow them, gesturing with a nod of his head for Kou to follow. "You coming?"

  • Kou nodded standing up out of the seat. "Yeah I'm coming." She moved to be next to him before speaking her dark brown eyes on him. "I wouldn't worry to much about it Cobra your magic is strong and I would like to see it for myslef some time ,but for now I'm going see what Fairy Jills as to offer." She smiled at him at the end of what of she said to him and started walking at a quick pace to catch up with Aster and Wendy. She was tempeted to use his real name when she saw a piece of his past when she had gotten a good look into hsi eyes but she didn't not wanting to bring attention to herself or Aster.

Laxus chuckled a bit when her face burst into color he didn't have time to thank her before she was dragged off by Wendy. "Interesting." He said moving to follow the other dragon slayers excited for once to get to know these new mages who came out of no where and claimed to be dragon slayers. He did believe them when they said they were dragon slyaers he had caught their scents before they entered but they were differnt from the other scents widely like they were hiding something which made him even more curious.
