A tiny gray-and-white tabby kitten stood in the middle of camp- or at least, what they guessed was the middle. They had been given the name Hecate which, to their understanding, was some sort of goddess? Maybe of the moon? So they had fashioned a small necklace, a black cord with a silver moon charm. "I'm Hecate! Come say hi!" Now that some of their shock was wearing off, the bruised and battered child was forming words again.

The young, three-tailed fox made his way over to the kitten, nearly bouncing with each step. "The name's Kenjiro! A pleasure to meet you!" The 10-moon-old boy said, his three tails lashing around behind him like balls. His tails were poofy and round, unlike the long, beautiful tails normal kitsune's have, but hey! No problem, he's unique!
-
Hecate gasped softly and reached out to touch one of his tails without realizing it might be rude. "Soft!" They had never seen anyone with more than one tail- how cool! They wiggled their singular tail a bit sadly. "Hi, Ken- Kenji- Ken!" The kitten gave him an apologetic smile and repeated, "Ken!"
-
Come and say hi? He could do that, though the white shepherd wasn't exactly sure why anyone would want to hold a conversation with him. He was worthless trash, after all.
He padded over to the two that had already gathered, both obviously younger than him. But shouldn't a kitsune with three tails be about at least a few hundred years old?
Who was he to guess, though. He would laugh to himself (and sound slightly like he was choking) and smile at the two, his own tail wagging.
"Nagito Komaeda," he announced. "Call me whatever, I don't mind." Kenjiro and Hecate. He would have to remember these two.

"Nagi!" they declared. Nicknames were going to have to work for now. Looking up at the much bigger dog, they grinned and patted his shoulder- as high as they could reach- gently with their right paw, lifting themself up slightly so they wouldn't be putting weight on their recently-dislocated left shoulder.
-
Kenjiro pounded around in a circle around the newcomer, yapping softly. "Nagi it is, ne ne!" He barked softly, wagging his tails as if he was a dog. There were more dogs around here than anything else, anyways. "Hecate, Nagi, tag?" He asked, nuzzling the newcomers affectionately. His english was terrible, but he tried his best. Japanese was his birth language anyways.
-
"Tag?" They tilted their head slightly. They hadn't heard the word tag before, what did that mean?
-
Oh? The white shepherd would give a soft but slightly startled gaze to the small kitten as they patted his shoulder. With a soft laugh he sunk to the ground.
Komaeda couldn't safely say the last time he had been around small children. Sure, he had been in accompaniment with them, but they had never interacted with him. He didn't feel that others should have to respond to him, not really. He wouldn't even make conversation with himself.
But tag? At Kenjiro's request, the shepherd tilted his head. He guessed it was a game, but he didn't want his leggy self possibly stepping on one of them as they ran around, especially not a tail or something. Nevertheless, the shepherd smiled anyway.
"Tag?" He echoed, equally as confused.

Kenjiro was rather surprised they didn't know what tag was. Did they not play it with siblings? Oh well. "It's like.." He went silent, trying to think of a better explanation. "You chase after eachother, and when I tag you, you have to chase after me!" He explained briefly, his usual cheerful toothy grin on his face.
-
"So..." Hecate turned and stumbled over to Ken, then placed a paw on his front leg. "Tag? And now run?" They weren't sure how well they could run with their current injuries but they would certainly try their hardest if the older two wanted to play a game with them.
