  • The tom nodded lightly, deciding he may as well join them. He couldn't hunt currently, considering there was no prey. Maybe they could find some herbs that would help with hunger or something, if that even existed. The apprentices both seemed pretty excited to go hunting for herbs anyway, and he supposed with how energetic Coyotepaw alone was, that Larkwing may need some help keeping track of them.

"Herb hunting sounds fun, educational for me too, I bet." Yewstain said, confirming he would join the girls.

  • Peachpaw gave a hearty purr of amusement witnessing Coyotepaw plead to Buzzardheart for the outing, especially given their recent journey out of camp. She suspected he wanted free of his energetic apprentice for a while and didn't mind her going out as long as there were other warriors. All the same, she was pleased her best friend would be tagging along. Tail waving in the air excitedly, Peachpaw invited impatiently, "C'mon, everybody! I'll show you the way!" That said, the eager young medicine cat apprentice bounded out of camp, likely followed by her companions.

  • pup was one of the quickest to stick herself to the older girl's side like a burr, clingy as always but sparing a bit of her cheeriness for the rest of the small group with a careless grin thrown over her shoulder. her tail shuddered with a life of its own as she trailed closely after the bobbing white pelt of peachpaw, admittedly never having gone out to pick herbs with her. she'd never thought of it to be honest, but if this turned out to be a decent experience she would definitely pitch in to help creambounce and peachy out a lot more. she was pretty useless as anything other than muscle really, so leave all the herb related nonsense to someone who actually knew something about it and to someone you'd trust with your children. and peachpaw checked all those boxes in her book so she was w-ay more skilled than coy was in her book.

she had little clue what she was looking for actually, having missed much of the actual part of the conversation that would have been useful. cue a bumbling torbie and company.

  • Larkwing snorted a bit. Herb hunting was now categorized as educational. She was glad that Yew decided to tag along. Even though Peachpaw was a lot more mature for she age, she would be so consumed with Coyotepaw that Larkwing would be left in the dark. With Yew here, she could at least talk to someone when the two friends were off giggling. After everyone gathered together, Peachpaw led the way for everyone. She smiled a bit as Coyotepaw smiled sheepishly and followed Peachpaw. The two of them were certainly something.

  • Lazily standing, Yewstain would trail after the apprentice, feeling as if this was all a bit backwards. Usually warriors led the way, but he supposed that was because they were educated on where they were going and the like. In this situation, however, Peach knew the way, not Yewstain. So in a way, it sort of made sense, but it didn't relieve him of the feeling that this seemed completely backwards.

  • Bumping into Coyotepaw playfully as she went, Peachpaw gleefully trotted along a familiar path, veering towards Twolegplace. They needn't go into the gardens. Truthfully, some of their nests became overgrown and came over the fences, meaning they had no reason to trespass. It was easy to simply pluck out the herbs she needed and be on her merry way. Others, however, were more native to the forest and wouldn't be found near twoleg gardens.
