They then hear voices talking very faintly within the castle

"Hold it..." He murmured, ears perking.

“You hear that?”

"Yep."

“Sounds like voices but I can’t tell who it is.”

"Let's try and get closer..."

Mario nodded
As he and sonic got closer, one of the voices was undeniably Peach, but the other was still unclear

"Sounds like... Peach?"

Mario nodded “That’s definitely her but I can’t tell who the other voice is...”

"Hmm..."

They get even closer “Hear anything?”

*He perked his ears up, trying his hardest to listen to the two voices.
