  • The frosty Longwing looked at him for a long moment. "Aren't Eastern dragons supposed to be peaceful and cautious? Like the great Ynnit is?" She was equally confused. it was strange to think of these dragons weren't all the same. It was much different talking to one then fighting one. Her smaller graceful head moved to look at the natural disaster that was the fight. The winds were carrying sand in countless directions and some of the sand seemed to melt with the heat of Dynni. They might find them or accidentally kill them if the four of them weren't very careful. Aallotar turned to look at the humans. "Hurry they will be on the move soon." She called her wings flapping in frustration.

Elek thought about it for a moment. "That does make sense. You've put a lot of thought into all this haven't you?" He hadn't looked at it that way. When she was finished working he grunted slowly getting to his feet wincing at the pain of the deep scratches. "Good thing I took most of the damage." He grunted not wanting to face the wrath of either powerful dragon. "It's hard not knowing if something is going to happen. Running away sounds appealing as an alternative. When he heard Aallotar limped over to his axe which was laying in the sand. Slowly leaning over to pick up he winced. He had no idea how he was going to manage to ride his dragon.

    (I get it it's all good ^^)

  • (On mobile; expect typos)

(Should they plan a meeting or should a battle take place later on?)

Nilanth sighed, his wings quivering yet again. "Our ways are changing, even if we don't realize it: the Eastern empire is getting tired of the fighting, and in order to end the fighting, we need to become the warriors that Ynnit feared we would be." He huffed, shaking his head slowly.

Vophi seemed displeased with his actions(she didn't want him standing up so soon), but despite this she remained silent and stood as well, dusting the sand off of her armor prior to slipping her gauntlets back on. Watching him bend over to try and pick up his axe, she crouched down with a small sigh and tried to provide some aid. Since she was on the weaker side, lifting the axe up was a difficult task, but she managed to lift it up high enough to aid him and managed to keep a straight face while doing so. The subtle quiver of her arms gave away her struggle, though, so she silently prayed he didn't notice. "I think about the outcome of running off multiple times," she replied after a few moments of silence, glancing up at him for a brief moment. "They are all disastrous, so I've decided against fleeing from the war, but lately the urge to run off has gotten stronger..." she ended her sentence with a small sigh, and staring off into the distance, she shifted around a bit. Then, spitting out some Eastern curses, she approached Nilanth and organized her possessions. "Your companion is right: if we remain here Ynnit and Dynni will surely discover us," she growled, glancing back at him. An almost worried look could be seen upon her features. "If you'd like, I could have Nilanth help you and your companion get into the sky," she offered, earning a snort of surprise from the wyvern, who grumbled something under his breath soon after and turned away.

  • Aallotar shook her head her blue eyes still trained on the impending danger. "Maybe Ynnit will finally stop this pointless fighting and end Dynni himself." She highly doubted it but, it was a really their only chance of ending this war. The thing she feared most is the war would take Elek from her. The fact he had almost died today scared her greatly. Frowning softly she forced herself to look away otherwise she would do nothing but, worry.

The young man would have rather been able to do it on his own but, even when he strained with all his might he could barely manage to graze the handle with his fingers. When she came over and lifted it up a ways he nodded in gratitude able to easily pick his axe up once he had gotten a good grip on it. He did seemed amused at how much trouble she had with actually picking his weapon up but, he didn't say it not wanting to embarrass her. Glancing off in the distance he nodded slowly and started to hobble over to his dragon. He looked briefly at Aallotar who sighed softly as if knowing what he was about to do. "Well maybe you get away for a little while. I know an amazing hidden oasis that is near here. I could show you sometime maybe." He offered knowing it was stupid to meet with the enemy but, she was a human and he didn't want to loose the one person who was like him. Aallotar looked down at her burned chest and then at the reluctant Wyvern. "I think I might need a bit of help considering he scorched one of my wings." She sighed holding up one of the blackened wings. She hated the thought of needing help but, she didn't want anything happening to Elek.

(I think they should try and meet up before hand)

  • Vophi managed to smile a little bit, and humming softly she tightened her grip on her spear and fastened it onto Nilanth's scales, then pulled herself up onto his back. "I'd love to see it, if I'm ever allowed outside of the city after this, that is," she mused, latched her spear onto her back, then tapped Nilanth a few times. He had taken care of the wound on his wing the best he could in the limited time he had, and since the storm had ceased getting them into the air wouldn't be that hard. "Alright, let's get them into the air," Vophi hummed, adjusting her grip on Nilanth's scales as he stood up and shook his body, freeing himself from the sand which was stuck to him.

Shuffling around for a few moments, Nilanth leaped into the air and started beating his wings, gaining more and more lift with each passing moment. Then, staring at Aallotar for a few brief moments, he flexed his claws. "If I hold you gently, you won't be poisoned," he explained, hovering over to the dragoness while he grabbed at the air. "Try not to move, though, since the slightest graze could prove fatal," he hummed, and sighing softly, he lowered himself and gently rested his claws on her sides. "Do you trust me? I could always have you cling to my back if you'd like." He chuckled softly when Vophi mentioned she could always give her the antidote of something went wrong, and flicking his ear again, he glanced in the direction of the fight for a brief moment.

  • Elek laughed as he made it to his dragon. She leaned down so he was able to scramble on although it was anything but, graceful. He grunted in pain as he rested himself on her neck. Aallotar wished she could see how he was doing but, now that he was on her back she couldn't see him. Elek touched her head briefly to let her know he was okay bracing himself tightened his grip trying to keep himself on as securely as he could. His side was pounding but, he would make it.

Aallotar looked almost horrified when he told her he was going to grab her by his claws the very claws that had almost just ended Elek's life. Still, she sighed and nodded slowly watching him beat the air with his wings. "I trust you just hurry." She mumbled tensing up as she felt his claws against her sides but, she didn't have much of a choice. She would just have to be careful and Elek stayed away from the dragon's claws as well. "Alright I'm ready." She called up to him bracing herself.

  • Nilanth hummed in reply, and with a growl of effort and one strong beat of his wings he managed to hoist the dragoness up into the air, and taking a brief moment to adjust his grip, the wyvern continued to rise up into the sky. From here, he could just barely make out the silhouettes of Ynnit and Dynni. "Alright, tell me when you're ready for me to let go," he hummed, hovering in the air while he waited for Aallotar's decision. He wouldn't mind having to carry her home, but due to the fact her whole clan wants him and his allies dead, he'd have to pass up the offer.

Glancing down at Elek from atop Nilanth's back, Vophi leaned down and chuckled softly, them cleared her throat. "If we get home before our respective leaders do, maybe they'll never know about us sneaking out," she mused, then paused, remembering his wounds. "I'm not sure how Dynni will take the news of your injuries, though...maybe you can avoid her?" Vophi inquired, quirking a brow.

  • Aallotar felt slightly embarrassed by the fact that she was being hoisted up into the air like a newly hatched baby. She looked up at him nodding. She took a deep breath and unfurled her large wings letting the wind catch them for a moment testing out the feeling on her wings. When she was satisfied she could make it she began flapping. "Okay I'm ready." She said letting her wings catch her as she was released. She lost some air but was able to beat her wings enough to climb back to Ninliath's height. "Thank you." She said with a bow of her head.

He smiled slightly knowing he wasn't going to get in trouble for sneaking out since he had actually been sent out but, it was a nice thought. They probably would know it already and would know something must have happened. Leaning forwards so she could hear him he shrugged. "Avoiding the massive snake dragon that can sense movement. Shouldn't be too hard." He joked although he had no idea how was going to explain the injuries. He would think of something. "I guess we should go. It was nice to meet you even if it start off well." He said with a brief smile before his dragon turned towards the west and Elek gave a wave.

  • Nilanth bowed his in reply to her thanks and hummed, offering her a small smile. When she turned to leave, the wyvern emitted a rumbling noise in his throat to say his goodbyes, and he too headed off towards his own home.

Vophi waved as well, and her gaze lingered for a few momenrs before she turned away with a sigh, gazing off into the distance. "Hopefully Dynni won't ask about his injuries," she hummed, subconsciously petting Nilanth's scales.

(It's late, so I'm going to call it a night. Cya!~)

  • Elek leaned down against the dragoness' neck grunting slightly. "You better come up with a story." She said quietly as she opened her wings and gave a powerful flap and gain a shot burst of speed despite the pain in her chest and wings. The pair made it as quickly as she could possibly fly back to the Sky sphere. Since Dynni wasn't back yet he quickly changed out his burnt clothes and into fresh ones.

He tried to make himself look and presentable as he could and make his injuries as unassuming as he could muster. The bandages on Aallotar's chest did give them away though. The Longwing paced nervously rambling on while Elek was staring off into space deep in thought.

    (Alright see you later)

  • The flight home was much easier than the flight into the desert: this time they didn't need to navigate through a full-blown storm, so crimson wyvern underneath wouldn't have to worry about flying debris or getting lost. There were no trees nor mountains which would obstruct their view in this barren desert, and even though they were quite far into the desolate land, Nilanth's keen eyes could see the faint silhouettes of the spires which separated the East and West. However, he was still on edge, though: they were deep within enemy lands, and a patrol could easily take them down if they were spotted. The wyvern silently cursed his crimson hide and growled softly, shaking his head. Should he fly low to the ground, which would hide the two, but sacrifice his sense of direction? Or should he stay at this height and just remain weary? A low growl of frustration rumbled in his throat as he weighed his options, but his thoughts were interrupted when a piercing shriek shattered the silence, and with a shrill of surprise he fought to keep his balance while his eyes frantically darted to and fro. There, in the distance, the gargantuan forms of the leaders could be seen locked in a fearsome battle, and with widened eyes and an agitated hiss the wyvern quickly veered off in another direction, avoiding confrontation. He may be fireproof, but a stray blast from Dynni would torch him and Vophi alive.

Vophi had to cling onto Nilanth's back in order to remain on his back, and turning her head towards the source of the deafening noise, she too froze in place. There, in the distance, Dynni and Ynnit were fighting, and they were terrifying. When Nilanth veered off to the side a sense of relief washed over her, and sighing softly, she slumped onto his back and closed her eyes for a moment. "We should sneak out again," she hummed, earning a snort of surprise from the wyvern below, who stared at her from the corner of his eye. "Are you crazy?" He hissed, baring his teeth. Vophi simply rolled her eyes and payed no heed to his words: the wyvern rambled on about how dangerous that meeting was, how she could've died, and such. "You don't see a human every day though, Nilanth," she sighed, which caused the wyvern to fall silent. A grin found its way to her lips: she had won this argument. "If you don't want to go, I'll just walk there," she offered, then started to laugh when Nilanth began to sputter, clearly surprised.

    (Mini-Timeskip?)

  • (Sure)

The fighting was over it had been for hours. The effects of the fight could be seen for miles and everything had gone silent. No tremors or high winds everything was silent which caused all the dragons around him had started getting restless wondering what had happened. Not really knew what to think. Elek was having trouble standing so he leaned against the shady wall of one of the nearby shops that was owned by an old dragon with a blind eye, who was named Pomuy.

Earlier the dragoness had looked over his wounds asking him endless questions. He had tried his best to come up with acceptable answers. He settled on a Wyvern had attacked them while they were midflight. The Wyvern he explained had snatched him from his dragon and the two dragons had engaged in an air fight. And it had resulted in the burns on Aallotar. The dragoness looked nervously at the human as the ground started to rumble.

  • The tremors had steadily increased in power with each passing moment: what started as the subtle shifting of pebbles turned into the rumbling of buildings and trembling of spires. Then, when the tremors reached their peak, Dynni's massive form erupted from the earth behind her spire, and her serpentine body slowly coiled up the rock pillar as she made her way to the top. As her body slowly drew itself out of the earth, her injuries could be seen clearly, the worst of them being on her back. One of the massive, sickle-like spines on her back was broken in two, the second half left somewhere in the desert. The subtle quivers of her muscular body displayed her growing pain, but no one would dare bring it up lest they'd wish to see the end of their life. When the serpent was finally coiled around her tower, a low hiss could be heard coming from the top, and if one were to stare into the clouds they'd notice a bright red glow beginning to form. Saying she was angry would be an understatement: Dynni was literally boiling with rage. The dragons who were flying near her spire quickly retreated, if one of them strayed too long they might suffer burns due to the sheer heat of the surrounding area. However, one dragon wasn't so lucky. One of her advisers, who had flown up to give her a report, chose the wrong time to confront her. With a metallic hiss and a snap of her jaws, the adviser was swallowed into her jaws, the only remaining piece of their body being part of his wing, which slowly fluttered to the ground like a feather and landed among the dragons below. With wide eyes and quivering bodies, her remaining advisers fled, not wanting to follow in the fallen adviser's footprints. The air was silent, still, and almost stagnant. The empress' eyes surveyed the crowd: her blood red gaze analyzing each and every dragon before she retreated back to the foggy cover which shrouded the peak of her spire. When she was gone, everything slowly resumed. Some dragons started to murmur among themselves, casting brief glances at the tip of the spire as they did so.

Every Eastern dragon's gaze was drawn to the sky as a large shadow loomed overhead: Ynnit had returned. The once busy streets were silent as the King hovered overhead, his form slowly disappearing into the clouds above. Droplets of crimson, each about the size of a hatching, painted the streets and buildings. He was injured, but would get better with time. It wasn't like there was a dragon big enough to treat his wounds. Among the dragons below was Nilanth and Vophi, who watched his partially-charred tail disappear into the cloud layer above his spire. The King's advisers followed close behind, disappearing into the fog after him. They'd be alright: Ynnit was a merciful dragon, and would spare them even if he was in a horrible mood. Vophi's gaze lingered for a few moments, then averted when the noise started to return to the city. "Should we say something?" Vophi asked Nilanth, who simply shook his head in reply. "Leaving him be at a time like this would be better for all of us," he stated, glanced at Vophi, then gestured to a few dragons who were gathering at the city square. "The patrol has returned, do you think they found something interesting?" the wyvern chuckled, then smiled when he heard a soft laugh from Vophi, and together the two approached the small party of dragons to join in on the conversation. Everything was normal, but word of an upcoming battle was bouncing around the city, which caused Vophi's stomach to churn with dread. Exchanging a glance with Nilanth, the two nodded subtly. If they were going to meet up with Aallotar and Elek, they'd have to do it quickly. She'd probably have Nilanth take her tomorrow, since Ynnit didn't seem to know they had disappeared today.

(Next post will be a timeskip!)

  • The tremors were so bad several dragons ducked inside their small homes to try and escape the sand that was whipped up. Even those who didn't go inside ducked back when the massive Empress burst from the ground. Dragons scattered and the whole Earth shook. Elek winced sliding down the building wall unable to stand while the ground was moving. There was a loud commotion as a stupid dragon decided to try and speak to Dynni. No one spoke to Dynni or even approached her spire for days after a fight like this.

Curling herself up the white Longwing sighed looking up at the terrible dragoness. "Ynnit should have killed her while she had a chance." She grumbled ever so softly closing her eyes. Elek petted her head briefly. "We should see if can go tomorrow." He blinked suddenly having the urge to see her again. Aallotar only grumbled in reply. Both of them were sore and extremely exhausted. They feel asleep in the shade of Pomuy's herb shop.

  • Vophi couldn't sleep that night: the upcoming battle was plaguing her thoughts and keeping her awake. Even the heat radiating off of Nilanth as he slept didn't bring her much comfort, and she even found it annoying. In the end, Vophi had to visit a nearby dragoness by the name of Lozze, whose magic would be able to help her sleep. Even after she was asleep, Vophi's mind was still stirring dread. Her sleep was riddled with nightmares, and she was startled awake quite a few times. Luckily for her, Lozze's magic would lull her back to back to sleep every time she woke up, and after the third or fourth time Vophi managed to stay asleep.

When she awoke the next day, the sky was still dark. The sun was slowly climbing into the sky as she finished dressing herself in her armor, and gently tapping on Nilanth's nose to wake him, she gave him his daily antidote before heading out the door, the wyvern close behind. The few dragons that were up greeted the two as they made their way to their favorite meeting-place: a rocky outcropping which was almost always heated by the sun. Nilanth needed to warm up before he could do anything, so settling down on the rocks beside her companion, she closed her eyes and waited for the day to finally begin.

Their morning routine was shorter and a bit sloppier today since Vophi had them on a time constraint: she wanted to get into Western territory before the patrols were mobilized. Nilanth wasn't happy about this, and he displayed his annoyance with a few whacks from his clawed wings from time to time. Their plan worked, though, and the two managed to leave an hour or so before the patrols made their rounds. "I told you my plan would work," Vophi hummed as they flew over the border, staring down at Nilanth's head with a grin upon her face. The wyvern only growled in reply and lowered his ears, displaying is annoyance. "I still can't believe we're going back into enemy territory just so you can see that human again," he grumbled, rolling his eyes at Vophi's shocked gasp. She gently struck his back with her fist again, her cheeks puffing out and eyebrows furrowing. "If you were in my position, I would be glad to take you to see another human!" she hissed, clearly upset with his words. A chuckle rumbled through his body, but she could tell he felt a twinge of guilt for being so inconsiderate: his ears would quiver.

The pair were deep into Western territory now, and Vophi wondered how Dragons could survive in this climate. She was relaxing under the shade of Nilanth's wing, which only provided some relief from the heat of the desert. Nilanth didn't seem too bothered by the heat, but she could tell he was getting uncomfortable. Sighing softly, Vophi laid down on her cape, trying to keep her bare skin off of the sand. "How do the Western dragons deal with this?" Vophi grumbled, staring up at the sky. Nilanth simply shrugged in response and kept his eyes to the sky as well, his ears swiveling in every direction. If the two didn't show up soon, he'd have to take Vophi out of here. "Maybe they're used to it? The jungle is verydifferent from the desert," he hummed after a few moments of silence, then shifted around and finally sat down, curling his tail around the two.

  • Elek lay awake next to his dragon companion most of the night. Racked with pain he was unable to even move let alone get comfortable enough to sleep. The older dragoness had giving him some pain relievers to help and it had. Now, that they had run out all he could do was lay there and wait for the sun to finally rise. It was a long night of dozing in and out of consciousness until he felt Aallotar stir beside him. The blue dragoness raised her head slowly before gently helping Elek to his own. Grunting as he got to his feet the pair went off to start the morning.

They passed the morning by the Longwing joining a morning patrol the boy staying inside and helping the older dragon Pomuy who ordered him this way and that. When the shelves had been organized she nodded slowly and Elek almost ran out the door at full speed. Finding his dragon near the entrance he smiled stiffly making his way over. "This is dangerous." She sighed softly as he swung on to her back with practiced ease. Opening her massive wings she gave a few practice flaps before climbing into the air and disappearing into the clouds. "You don't even know where she'll be if she even shows up." The Longwing was trying to talk him out of this meet up. It was a stupid idea to begin with. "We'll find her. Now come on." He urged which his dragon obliged a loud crack rippling through the sky as she disappeared.

    -----

First checking the borders they had started to loop back inland searching for any signs of the other pair. Starting to loose any kind of hope he slumped against his dragon's neck. Suddenly Aallotar tensed up seeing a red shape in the distance. She knew it was the Wyvern and she hesitated before giving a powerful flap of her wings and making her way towards the pair. Hovering over for just a moment her large wings blocked the sun as she slowly descended landing behind a sand dune so no patrols would see her. Elek slowly worked his way off of her neck grunting as his feet hit the ground.

  • When a shadow loomed overhead Nilanth visibly tensed: flames started to lick at the sides of his muzzle as he stared up at the sky, but when he recognized the shape of the dragon overhead his aggressive demeanor faded, the flames extinguishing. He couldn't help but feel surprised: the two actually showed up! Watching Aallotar as she landed behind a sand dune, he narrowed his eyes for a brief moment before standing up, startling Vophi as he did so. Growling softly under his breath the Wyvern picked the human up in his jaws and placed her upon his back, then started to make his way over to the sand dune. A hiss of annoyance escaped his lips every time his feet sank into the searing hot sand: the grains kept getting in-between his toes, where they were starting to annoy him. When he reached the top of the dune, he shook the sand off of one foot with a hiss of disgust, then turned his attention to the bottom. "You actually showed up," Nilanth hummed, his ears flicking as he spoke. "We were just about to leave, too: I didn't think Vophi would last much longer in this heat," he sighed, gesturing to said girl upon his back, who seemed a little out of it. "How do you and your clan manage to live in these conditions?" he mused, shifting his weight from one leg to another.

Vophi, who started to vigorously rub her irritated eyes, hummed in agreement to Nilanth's words. Some sand must've gotten in her eyes when she was laying down, and it was causing her quite a bit of discomfort. "I wish I had a nictitating membrane like you, Nilanth," she grumbled, referring to his eyes. Nilanth, like most dragons, had a clear eyelid which swept over his eye whenever something got in it. It also protected the eye when hunting. The Wyvern chuckled in reply, sending vibrations through his entire body. Then, leaning over so she was resting against Nilanth's neck, Vophi offered the two a small smile and a brief wave of her hand.

  • Shifting her weight on the sand she glanced up at Nilanth at the top of the dune. She flapped her wings in a small greeting. "Sorry we would have been sooner but, we couldn't find you." She sighed softly her dark eyes shifting between dragon and rider. "We will need to find a better spot to meet that isn't so exposed." She looked around at the open expanses of sand that stretched for miles seemingly without any end in sight. She looked over at the rider on his back feeling pity for them both since the heat was so new to them. "Lots of naps and knowing the best times to go out." She purred softly an amused twinkle to her eye. It also didn't hurt she could manipulate the temperature around her and produce ice. She slowly made her way closer to the duo. She sniffed Vophi over briefly before opening her jaws. Instead of hot breath a cool mist came from her mouth. She let the mist drift over Vophi before closing her maw and settling back down beside Elek.

"Sand in the eyes I don't have a third eye lid but, I might have something that can help." Elek limped over to his saddle bags and pulled out a pair of googles a creation of his own. It was a rounded glass lense that was fastened with a leather strap. He slowly made his way over to her and offered them to her. "It helps against the sand." He explained as he nodded to the Longwing and her frills went up, this time when her jaws opened an even larger mist spilled out covering the whole company in a layer of cool water. Letting out a coo of satisfaction she laid down in the warm sand her razor sharp tail fins brushing across the loose sand.

  • Even though the duo were on good terms, Nilanth visibly tensed and bared his fangs when Aallotar approached Vophi, and when she opened her jaws he parted his own in a warning. He was about to panic when the foreign mist drifted over the petite human, and staring at the dragoness with wide eyes, he froze when he felt the air around Vophi getting colder. Realization struck a few moments after that: she was just trying to cool the poor human down. Relaxing and shutting his jaws, Nilanth snorted and lowered both his head and ears, clearly embarrassed. Why would Aallotar kill Vophi now? Shaking his head slowly, Nilanth grumbled something under his breath and stared off to the side, frowning. He swiped his tongue over his lips briefly, trying to cool down his searing scales. "I guess this wasn't one of the best times to leave?" he mused, a small bout of laughter rumbling from his throat.

Vophi was cautious at first, anyone would be if a pair of jaws were that close to you! However, her caution turned into a pleased expression after she was cooled down, and a small sigh escaped her lips. Mumbling a small 'thank you' as she slid off of Nilanth's back, Vophi stared up at Elek, and for the first time she realized how petite she was compared to him. Now that they weren't trying to kill each other, she had time to compare herself to him. She was so engrossed in her thoughts she didn't notice he was offering her goggles until a few minutes after, and blinking a few times, he face briefly flushed with embarrassment as she took them from him. Staring at the goggles for a few long moments, she quirked a brow. It wasn't like she didn't know how to use them, judging by the shape they were meant to be worn over the eyes, she was just taking some time to examine them. Dragons didn't require goggles, and the Eastern territory didn't exactly demand protective eye-wear. This was the first time she looked at such a device. "Odd," Vophi hummed to herself, then shrugged, placing the goggles back in his hand. "Thank's for the offer," she started, shrugging and offering him a closed eyed smile, "but I don't think I'll need them, and besides, I may forget to give them back," she mused, then reached for the spear on her back, since she assumed they'd be moving soon. When the mist washed over the small party, she and Nilanth seemed hardly phased by it: the East was a very foggy place, after all. Then, averting her gaze to the sky, she placed a hand above her eyes to shield them from the brightness as she looked around.

  • Aallotar realized that she had freaked them both out when she had opened her jaws but, it wasn't exactly something she could explain with words. The rumbling from the Wyvern made her tip her head slightly. His laugh sounded almost as if there was gravel in his gullet. Still she gave a small chirp of laughter herself. Considering the sun was approaching its highest point it was one of the worse times to travel but, she supposed since they lived under trees it did not matter as much where the sun was. "Not the wisest time no. We know a good place to rest." She flapped her wings looking over at Elek wondering why the two were just staring at each other.

Elek just held the goggles as the two just stared at each other the giant having to look down at her. She was tiny which surprised him but, last time he was poisoned so he hadn't really gotten a good look at her. He would be lying if he said he wasn't fascinated by her. After a whole lifetime of thinking he was alone and now here she was another human his age! It was mind blowing to him! When she called the goggles odd was when he finally snapped out of it. He took them back shrugging. "I made plenty of them since I loose them or break them all the time. We should probably get going." He said looking around at how exposed they were. Hobbling back over to his dragon he slipped on motioning for her to follow. He touched the handle of the axes strapped to his back making sure they were still there. He gave a small nod and the Longwing rose into the air having less trouble then before her powerful wings supporting her. As she rose she looked down to make sure he was still following. Then she started flying along flying low to the sand for right now and weaving between dunes. She knew patrols didn't come this way.

  • Nilanth followed close behind, and he too flew low to the ground in order to avoid detection. His eyes would flicker from Aallotar to the sky every few moments: he was trying to juggle keeping watch and watching the dragoness so he wouldn't get lost in this gods-forsaken desert. He did break the pattern to take a brief glance at Vophi, though, since she was pretty quiet. For a moment, he thought she had fainted due to the heat, but she was perfectly fine when he checked up on her. Maybe she didn't want to get sand in her mouth? Maybe she didn't have anything to talk about? He didn't know. Flicking his ears, Nilanth snorted quietly and resumed his frantic glancing, his claws flexing beneath him. Hopefully, they wouldn't meet any hostile creatures today: he wasn't in the mood for a fight.

    (Vophi will be played after)
